Well I think this could be an alternate solution for your titlescreen
I don't know if you already considered doing it this way...

Your titlescreen is going to be separated into 2 parts:
The one with the bulbasaur, squirtle, and charmander
and the one with the people, name and the map.
So, my idea is to insert the first part (the one with the starters) in the very first screen, I mean the one that is something like this:

2004 Pokémon
1995-2004 Nintendo
1995-2004 Creatures inc.
1995-2004 GAME FREAK inc.

So you insert your images with the black screen.

And the rest, you can insert it in the real titlescreen.

But yeah.. I wish someone with skills like you made a titlescreen changer tool, it could help some N00b hackers.
