~Rated [T] for mild violence and possible mild romance / suggestive themes~

~SU's are Currently Open!~

Introduction:

The group of professors sat around their table, eyebrows furrowed as they contemplated what was happening. Juniper gazed lazily out the window, Birch ran his fingers gently over his forehead and Elm sat skittishly next to Rowan who's furrowed brow and closed eyes seemed to be exuding an aura of calm. Professor Oak was the only one standing, he seemed troubled, his hand idly running through his hair as he removed and placed his worn lab coat on a nearby chair.

There was a deadly silence within the air conditioned room in Professor Rowan's laboratory. Sinnoh was a fairly cold region on its own, however a recent and persistent heat wave coupled with the amount of people in the room made the air conditioning necessary even though it was the dead of night outside. Suddenly the door was hastily pushed open and Professor Sycamore burst into the room causing everyone else to suddenly jump to attention. Clearly excited, Sycamore sat quickly into the chair where Oak had hung his coat. The group remained silent for a few moments awaiting a report, before Rowan decided to interrupt it.

"So then... it's as they say? We finally have confirmation, they had one?" His voice was calm and clear as always. Sycamore clapped his hand together while responding. "Yes... it was a mega ring, no doubt about it. The keystone was there, clear as day. I'd recognise it anywhere." The group sat forward as a kinder and more feminine voice spoke up.

"Surely there's some sort of mistake professor? Those remains were hundreds of years old... weren't they? You discovered the mega ring only a few years ago. Are you sure it wasn't just the keystone alone that this fossil possessed?" Juniper asked. However her attempts at finding a more reasonable solution were quickly shot down as Sycamore responded. "I'd recognise it anywhere Juniper... don't you think I would have already taught about other possibilities?! It was a mega ring. A human being from over eight hundred years ago was in possession of a mega ring! It was encased in the tomb, unopened for centuries... the ring tightly clasped around the damned corpses wrist!" For a brief moment, the shock that followed such an announcement rendered the group silent before Sycamore continued.

"I think we might have some explanation as to why they had it aswell." Suddenly the room seemed to jolt to life, Birch looked up with intrigue, Elm calmed himself down, Junipers eyes widened... even Rowan peeked an eye in the young Professor Sycamore's direction as he pulled a very large and very old looking book from his rucksack. The group of researchers gathered around as Sycamore dropped the heavy text on the central table. Elm quickly flicked through the first few pages, "It's written in ancient unknown script... can you read this?" He asked this, only for Sycamore to smile and nod. "I've had a look at the first two pages... and I believe this book may hold the answers to this strange circumstance we find ourselves in."

Oak stared in wonder at the book. "So the answers are right here? By the plates of Arceus... how has it taken us so long to find such a thing?" Birch spoke for the first time that evening as a response. "It's not the time to think about that... at least not yet old friend. Go on Sycamore! Start reading, alright?" Rowan chuckled heartily. "Well look at all of you suddenly so chipper... let's hope this is what we've been searching for." Juniper smiled at the sudden uplifting mood and simply nodded at Sycamore to begin.

Opening the first page of the tome, Professor Sycamore spoke once again. "It's an odd text, a bit out of order but not so much that we can't establish a definite timeline of events. It appears to be told from the perspective of multiple people all of whom I can only assume are in some way tied to our little mystery." Birch taps his foot impatiently. "Alright Sycamore we get it... we've been working weeks straight trying to figure this situation out so can you please get on with the book?" Sycamore shoots his friend a stern glare but shrugs his shoulders and gives in regardless.

"Alright then... in that case, I believe the best place to start would probably be at the beginning..."

Setting:

This RP will be set in the ancient times that the book describes and the plot will follow the story it tells. The world of eight hundred years ago is a very different one to the pokémon world we all know and love. Such advanced technology as pokéballs, the pokédex, healing items such as potions and antidotes, the classification of "Pokémon Trainer", none of these things exist... as such neither do the pokémon born as a result of these advances (Genesect, The porygon line and Mewtwo).

Though the role of a "Pokémon Trainer" does not exist and someone actually having a pokémon is a very rare thing indeed, there are still those who fight alongside pokémon in battles. These people have been named by the general population as "Knights" and they fight alongside pokémon with nothing but their trust and belief in the powerful beasts as partners and friends. Knights are few and far between however as most people are terrified of pokémon... and for good reason too. The abundance of wild pokémon in this time period makes things such as food sources and habitats scarce and this shows as the pokémon are much more violent, aggressive and territorial when compared to their modern day counterparts as a result. Most all pokémon will not hesitate to attack a human on sight, be it out of mistrust, defense of their territory or even... to prey on the human as a food source.

This RP will take place in the eight hundred year old Sinnoh region, where the ancient tome was discovered in the modern World. While the layout of the region has not changed the only relevant locations remaining are the lake guardians caves, the spear pillar and Hearthome city. Hearthome city and the spear pillar in themselves are much different than they are in modern times, the spear pillar being in near perfect condition as opposed to it's currently ruined state and hearthome city being MUCH bigger than it currently is, acting as the capital of the Sinnoh kingdom it is a massive walled city, completely devoid of all pokémon apart from the handful that are partnered with the kingdoms known knights.

Story:

"To the future generations of this World... those of you whom shall come to read my words. I issue you a warning from a past that you created."

The final words of a civilization from eight hundred years in the past, those final words are the single standalone sentence that introduce a group of inquisitive professors to an ancient tome.

In the kingdom of Sinnoh, roughly eight hundred years in the past, the land was ruled by a wise and just king, a man loved by his people who went by the name of Noheral Singard. Singard ruled with a fair and just hand, he was aswell as a king, what the people referred to as a knight. A human whom fought alongside a pokémon for whatever purposes they so desired. He, alongside the other knights of Sinnoh, fought bravely to defend the walled capital of Hearthome from any attacks made upon it, be they from groups of rogue knights, opposing kingdoms, or hordes of wild pokémon. The people adored their king, for he was charismatic, kind and willing to fight alongside the loyal knights whom sided with him and the royal family.

It was upon a cold and windy night however, that the king was disappeared from his throne. None had any idea how he had left so suddenly or where he was going. Whatever the reason had been however, it had been of a severe enough nature that the king himself left upon his partnered salamence in the middle of the night, unbeknownst to his subjects.

Within a day of information regarding the kings absence being released into the city, the people were thrown into disorder. Thy were confused as to why their ruler had abandoned them so. The royal family of Singard was thrown into despair aswell as they desperately sought the reasons behind their king and family members leaving them. It wasn't until nearly a week after his disappearance that any progress was made in regards to the knowledge of the kings location. Upon a second and extremely thorough search of the kings own study, the queen, Elizabeth Singard herself, discovered a secret compartment hidden underneath the floorboards. This compartment upon being removed and examined was forged from an incredibly powerful metal, one that the people of that time had never seen before. The craftsmanship was incredibly intricate, the box opening at ones touch as if powered by some form of magic or incredibly advanced technology... the box itself however was not what interested the royal family, no what the box contained was much more intriguing.

Inside the box was a collection of oddly shaped bracelets, each embedded with an odd gem and paired with a second, separate gem of varying colors when compared to the other gems like it. Each pair of bracelet and gem was labeled with a name written on a hastily ripped scrap of paper in the kings own handwriting. Finally, attached to the top of the box was a hastily scrawled note, once again written by the kings own hand.

"A trinket for a knight,

A gem for their partner,

You must find them, only they can save us all... these trinkets come from times yet to be seen and they are here by my own mistake.

The furthest Northern point of our Kingdom, there is a temple of times before our own. You must send them their, it is their they will learn the truth.

They are not special... but the pokémon who they have befriended can unlock the power of these stones, so I pray to whomever will listen that they can survive.

Arceus help them... they are all that is left of our kingdoms hope.

Arceus help us all... for what I have done may mean the end of this world.

~ King Noheral Singard I

A deathly silence fell over the court of the king as this letter was read for them less than an hour after it being found. They were confused... scared, their king had been the strongest man they had ever know. Yet here he begged for help. They had no other choice, those listed in the letter would be found and brought to the castle immediately no matter what the cost and, upon arrival, they would be gifted the bracelet and set forth towards the legendary temple that sat in the coldest and deadliest reaches of their kingdom.

This is where our story begins.

You:

Your character in the RP will be one of the knights mentioned in the kings letter and your starting post will involve your character being escorted in whatever way you see fit to the throne room of Hearthome castle to meet the queen of Sinnoh herself.

Though you don't know it yet, you have been selected by her majesty the queen (and technically the king) to be a part of the kings search party. You will be gifted a mega ring and mega stone for your partner pokémon, this potential for your partners mega evolution also happens to be the only reason you have been picked for the search party... even though nobody except the king himself knows that.

To put it swiftly and bluntly, you are a knight with a pokémon partner, for reasons unknown you have been escorted to Hearthome castle to be a part of the kings search party regardless of your circumstance, you will be gifted with a strange trinket that you do not recognise and your partner will be given an odd stone to hold onto, both of which you are called upon to defend with both you and your partners lives.

As a guideline, your character will have no more than one pokémon throughout the entire RP, however your character will be able to fight alongside this pokémon using weapons, a special pokémon brand of "magic" or through any other realistic means that you can think of.

"Magic":

Think of this as a simple added concept to make this RP feel an extra bit different from the average pokémon RP.

Based on the concept that all living being, human and pokémon came from Arceus and may have in turn come from Mew, certain rare humans have access to a special ability known by the people as "Magic". This ability stems from a humans bond with their pokémon and can only be used when human and pokémon are completely in sync with one another.

Magic, in basic terms, is the ability to use a single of ones pokémons moves, while one is completely human. For example, if a magic user had a partner who was a Lucario and the magic user had a strong enough bond with that pokémon, then the magic user may be able to preform his or her own, as an example, aura sphere.

To keep characters who can use this ability balanced there are a few rules involved with magics use:

1: While a character does not need to know the move right away, magic users may only learn one move and one move only, once that move is learned there's no going back or changing.

2:Magic users can use their moves without any prior prepping, but excessive use of magic will lead to exhaustion at quite a rapid pace.

3: Magic users must have their hands free at all times and as such cannot use any other form of weapon.

Premise and Layout:

This RP is built around three major concepts:

1: The idea of mega rings and mega evolution arriving in an ancient setting through methods that will not be revealed until much later.

2: The idea of a World where humans do not command their pokémon, but actually use their own skills and weaponry to fight alongside them. Also a world where pokémon rarely work with humans and nobody has more than one if any.

3: A type of "two stories at once" format, focusing around the story in the past written by the players and the story of the professors, which takes place in the modern day where the professors read the ancient tome (the formerly mentioned past story) and give their reactions and assumptions to it in, these "professor posts" will be written by myself (and maybe a few other RPers in a joint post format if anybody feels they'd be dedicated enough to do that) and will serve the purpose of summarizing the story so far and maybe hinting at a few things that MAY happen in the future, a few paths characters could have or could still take throughout the course of the RP, etc. etc.

The RP won't be laid out any different to any other RP mind you, so don't get worried. Players will post normally until I make an OOC announcement stating that the next "professor post" (AKA a general summary and slightly amusing reaction to the events of the RP so far) will be going up soon. When I announce these it would be best if possible to finish up any conversations/events that your character may be involved in before the professor post is complete, however this is more to make things easier on me and as such it isn't really necessary.

Rules:

1: No bunnying or godmodding of ANY kind is accepted unless permission is given by the other player.

2: Your character has NO knowledge of the future and they most likely NEVER will until much MUCH later. Please remember that. Oh and by the way, the password you're probably looking for is... not hidden in this rule, sorry.

3:I expect everyone to be civil, both OOC and IC. IC this means that you should obey the pokécommunity rules, same goes for the OOC but I also expect you to be polite. Any rudeness or pointless arguments in the OOC will be dealt with swiftly. If there's a problem, you tell me.

4: Try to post somewhat often, I know people are busy sometimes and if you have to go away for a while then I understand, but please at the very least try to get a post in every 3-4 days minimum. It's not too much to ask now is it?

5: Pokémon levels are to be awarded when the player sees fit, to keep things simple... up until level fifty your pokémon may level up after every battle within which they contribute to knocking out a pokémon. From then until level seventy-five it will take two battles and from then onwards it will take three. (Though it is highly doubtful your pokémon will reach that level if the RP reaches its ending like I plan for it to.)

6: Unless it is taken you may choose any pokémon with the potential to mega-evolve as your partner... except for Mewtwo. He will not be a possible choice for anyone at all as he technically does not exist at the time when the RP is set. In terms of Mega Charizard, one person will be allowed to choose one form of charizard, X or Y, the other form will be completely absent from the RP unfortunately.

7: Mega evolution will NOT be available from the moment your character receives their mega ring and mega stone. After a certain point in the RP passes, I will allow you to have your characters "discover" the purpose of the mega ring and how to use mega-evolution in their own time. One must also remember that mega-evolution requires a powerful bond between pokémon and human... so in the current setting it may take a while before your character learns to use it proficiently.

8: Try to have fun! If things don't seem to be fun for you while playing then don't just drop out or something silly either. Tell me about it and we might be able to come up with some new, even more fun ideas together. The password coincidentally is; Pokémon and the past are fun! So you know, there's that.

NAME: Marek Reiketsukan
NICKNAME: -
AGE: 26
GENDER: Male

APPEARANCE:
Spoiler:

"Here I'll show you."

HISTORY:
Marek Reiketsukan, born to a warrior father and commoner mother. He from the day of his birth to sometime within his 5th year of life, he was raised to be polite and honor bound. It was however at that time that his father decided he was ready for combat training, so that he could one day serve a perpous in the King's army. The training regemins were quite intense especially for a boy that could hardly stay balanced while running, let alone while wielding a sword. When not breaking himself for days on end with his father, Marek was comforted and morally raised by his mother.

His life otherwise was pretty much normal, a few years passed and Marek grew into a polite, skillful, young lad. Even periodically able to hold his own against his father by the age of fourteen. At sixteen, Marek was given his father's prized possetion, an exquisitly fine crafted wrist sheild with retractable 2' blade. Marek mastered the weapon quickly, but during one fateful afternoon a Horde of migrating Charizard over took the small farm land, that was Marek's home. During the chaos that spread, Marek's mother was eatten in front of the tiring pair. Marek's father over taken by rage, became an easy target for the monsters.

Marek did manage to flee from the beasts, weak, alone, and homeless he wandered aimlessly across the land. Finding refuge in a cave, he eventually came to call this place his home, outside of Hearthome City, where the King resided. First stummbling into the cave Marek came across a group of human hunters that were in the process of killing off a family of Mawile. Hearing the baby Pokemon's cry, Marek's felt a connection between them. Not about to let the baby monster suffer through the same as he, Marek was driven into a frenzy in order to protect the oddly colored sole remaining Pokemon. After killing his fellow human's Marek looked after the Pokemon since.

Having to live on their own, Marek and Mawile got quite the reputation among the commoners, and even a few lesser nobles of the neighboring Hearthome City. As they would do odd jobs for food and supplies needed in order to survive.

PERSONALITY:
Given his rough past, Marek is quite withdrawn from others. A man of few words, but a rather high intelligence, most commonly witnessed used in battle strategy. That's not to say that he won't speak his mind, very determined, Marek isn't one to let somebody walk over him or his friends. Needless to say however he does usually prefer to be alone, excluding his Partner, Mawile.

Even when presented with great danger, or seemingly hopeless odds, Marek keeps a cool, collected head. It's very rare to see him display any type of anger, but when he does he is usually blinded by it, and quite over the top. Reason for this being, obviously, it takes something along the lines of traumatizing to get under his skin.

Marek may seem malicious at glance, but is in actuality, a very kind, honest, brave, individual. Not in the slightest hesitant to lend a helping hands to those that need or ask for it. He does however, under circumstances, expect something in return, and will hold it against anyone who tries to cheat him.

Very adept at combat with his father's weapon, able to fluidly transition from blocking to slashing. Marek takes his skills very seriously. Even with his mother's tattered cape, around his waist, Marek will not be tripped up, easily. Given his style is very unorthadox. Having Trained so much with Mawile he took on traits of the awkward style that she presented. Seemingly off balance at all times, but in truth being completely centered, it gives the illusion of advantage for the opponent. Much like a Capoeira/Drunken Style, where even being tossed to the ground can quickly become a spinning counter attack or rolling dodge.

Under no conditions will Marek let anybody talk down or attempt to harm his Pokemon Partner in any way. History between the two have made them very close. Having fought through many hardships together, the two are completely supportive of one another. Marek will even change his otherwise solid way of thinking, if Mawile disagrees, with a chosen decision.

==================================================

POKEMON SPECIES: Mawile
PKMN's LEVEL: 27

PKMN's MOVES
Fire Fang ((EGG))
Poison Fang ((EGG))
Fairy Wind ((Base))
Fake Tears ((Lv. 6))
Feint Attack ((Lv. 26))

PKMN's PERSONALITY:
Rather timid towards humans, it's quite difficult for her to warm up to anyone. However Mawile is also very curious, and does enjoy observing others from afar, or within the protective vacinity of her Knight. Mawile's jaw-like horns seem to hold an entirely different persona that can mostly be noticed in the heat of battle. As Mawile will seem to enjoy fighting, being she is quick to battle, with rather skillful tactics matching those of Marek. But on closer observation it's mainly just her horns that seem to enjoy the battle, and pretty much drag Mawile, herself, around awkwardly yet still surprisingly effectively.

==================================================

WEAPON: Wrist Shield w/ Blade
Password: Pokemon and the past are fun!
OTHER: Marek's Mawile is Shiny, but given how far into the past this RP is taking place, it won't take much notice. Also when she's in public, her horn "jaws" are bound shut with a tattered medical band.

I'm in! Mega Houndoom for me! :) I have a question, if our character is a magic user, but the move they learns ends up being later in the rp, can our user be a weapon wielder until then? Like, something happens in the RP where their weapon gets broken and then they discover/train to use magic? If not that's cool, just figured I'd ask :)

EDIT: Here's part of my SU: (Will finish later)

Name:

Samuel Richard Parrish

Nickname:

Sam
Age:

17

Gender:

Male

Appearance:

(Pictures will suffice if you have them. If not then a fairly large paragraph (6+ lines) will suffice.)

Personality:

(What's your characters personality like? At least two large paragraphs here. This is the most important part of an SU to me and one I'll be paying attention to, so even more than the recommended amount is encouraged if you can manage it. You won't be docked marks for quantity mind you, but it'd be a nice touch to make it longer.)

History:

(Describe your characters past, be it dark and brooding or bright and happy. Two large paragraphs minimum, but like personality writing more if you can is always encouraged.)

Pokémon Species:

Houndour (Mega-Houndoom)

Pokémons Level:

28

Pokémons Moves:

Thunder Fang (Egg Move), Ember (Base Move), Bite (Lv. 17), Smog (Lv. 9), Howl (Lv. 4)

Pokémons Personality:

(This isn't a huge factor since pokémon don't normally speak or interact majorly with NPCs or other players. So one decently sized paragraph will suffice.)

Weapon:

(If a magic user, delete this field. Your character may use any sort of weaponry available in medieval times, or could easily be created with the technology available during medieval times. Eg. Crossbow, longsword, flail, greatshield, nunchucks, etc. If you can think of something more creative that fits these conditions then by all means do so.)

Magic:

Flamethrower (Later on, as he doesn't know it now)

Password:

(If you read the rules, then you know exactly what I'm asking for.)

Other:

(Do you have some information that doesn't really fit into any of the sections above? Write it here. This section has no limit, write nothing to twenty paragraphs for all I care.)

May I reserve?

Yumi Fey

Nickname: Umi

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Appearance:
Spoiler:

Personality:
Yumi is an outgoing, wild girl. She loves to play, and enjoys to fight as long as she deems her opponent worthy. Yumi hates soft hearts, and is always blunt. She's also a dream crusher, known to spoil even the most powerful dreamer. She has a powerful voice, and when she speaks it often sounds as if she's giving you an order. Yumi is a prankster, and is often causing mischief around her. Yumi is a rebel, and she would like nothing more than to be the greatest help to the King. Yumi can be compassionate, and when she is calm she seems to be just like any other girls.

One thing that defines Yumi from other Females is that she has a tomboyish attitude. She enjoyed Wrestling, Fighting, hanging out with guys. All part of Yumi's routine. Most of Yumi's friends we're guys and she never wore make-up. She is a talented singer however, and by talented, I mean fantastic. She is more than cocky and overconfident. It was a mixture of both plus worse.

History :
Yumi was a good child. She played, ate, and slept. As a child, Yumi had a great life, full of happy times and luxury. It all started when a Royal became enamored with her mother, Maria Fey. He soon was able to win Maria over, and together they had one child by the name of Yumi. A about 15 years after Yumi had been born, her mother became ill, and would later pass away. That's when her life of luxury became a life of depression and sorrow. After her mother's death, her father, Mage Hogi, lost it. He began to lose weight, and he stopped smiling. He wasn't the same. He takes his own life leaving his estate and his money. Stripped of everything, Yumi soon found the gift that was meant for her.

After a few months, Yumi's depression would subside after learning the Gible was his last gift to her. (And after being forced to play with it and be happy.) Yumi would soon start training the Gible until it evolved into Gabite and was named Fang. They quickly began to bond after the naming, and one day Yumi had gotten upset, and was shocked when she found she could use Dragon Rage. She practiced daily and trained hard, bettering her Pokémon and herself along the way.

Pokémon Species :
Gabite (Fang)

Pokémon Level:
28

Pokémon Moves:
Dragon Rage, Take Down, Dual Chop, Dragon Breath

Pokémon Personality :
Fang is similar to his trainer in more ways than one. He is a very hyper Pokémon, and he loves to battle/fight. He is very brave, and yet, at the same time, Fang is very timid. He learns quickly, and is often seen playing with Yumi. He LOVES to play. Fang is athletic, and likes a chance to show off every once in a while. Fang is very loyal, and would be deadly towards ANY Pokémon that would harm his trainer.

Magic:
Dragon Breath

Password:
Pokémon and the past are fun, right?!

Pokémon and the past are fun!
I'm going to ask for a reservation for Aggron.

Also isn't mega blastoise and scizor a little awkward for a roleplay taking place in the far past?

Greiger you are reserved for the use of the blaziken line.

Sheraku you are more than welcome to add more to your personality if you wish to. However for the most part I was impressed by your character and I am reasonably happy with the effort you have made. My only quip is that although they are all egg moves for mawile... having her know all of the elemental fang moves seems a bit unnatural/overpowered and as such I would like you to limit yourself to maybe one or two of them rather than all four. Should you do that however, your SU is up to par and I'm happy to say you are accepted.

Darkmoonphase you are unfortunately rejected as of right now, for a few reasons that I'm sure you could easily fix should you try to do so. First off, your personality and history are riddled with grammatical mistakes, while this could be ignored should there have only been one or two, the amount of mistakes present is a bit too high for my liking. Secondly and much more importantly is that combusken cannot learn ANY of the moves you mentioned naturally, each one listed is only available to him through the use of TM's (which obviously do not exist) and nothing else. It is specified in the SU sheet that the pokémon must be able to learn the move naturally and they must be at the apropriate level to use it, you seem to have completely disregarded this fact. Also as an extra minor complaint, it is mentioned that your character found her combusken in "a red ball" wether you had intended this or not, the way it is written makes it sound like the red ball in question was a pokéball... which also do not exist yet in the RP's timeline.

PikaLover10 you are reserved for the time being. Also as long as you specify somewhere in your SU that the weapon is temporary and you also specify the move that your character will eventually be able to use as magic... then I will allow your suggestion.

Kranic you are reserved. Also If you are implying that Blastoises cannons and Scizors... well... scissors will not fit into the current time period then I understand your concern, however Blastoise before he mega-evolves still has his cannons, albeit smaller ones on his back, and scizor still has scissor like pincers for hands, taking that into account and remembering that the whole point of the RP was future technology somehow making its way into the past... I decided to ignore any awkwardness caused by those two mega's presence in the story. Still as I once thought about exactly what you have on the matter, I completely understand why you would mention it and I appreciate you taking the initiative to bring it to my attention.

As a side note, since I forgot to mention it in the OP, the maximum wait on an SU is three full days, a time limit I hope you can all meet.

I have also decided to change the level range slightly as 35 seems too high now. The level range is now 15- 30. However Sheraku you must lower Mawile's level by one... I hope this isn't too much of a big deal, what's a level after in the difference after all?

Well this looks interesting. I'd like to get back into RP'ing and this seems like a good one! May I please reserve a spot and a Pinsir?

Name: David MacGregor

Nickname: Mac

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Appearance:
Spoiler:

Personality:
David is a friendly and outgoing person, always excited to see new things or meet new people. He is exceedingly curious, interested in a great many things. Despite this, he is not overly energetic or prying, because the forest doesn't like being intruded on. He is interested in learning things, but has generally poor social skills. If people try talking to him, he doesn't mind talking, and could carry on a conversation. He's friendly and open, but very honest, even bluntly and brutally so at times.

Aside from his social skills, or lack thereof, David is generally a thinker and a helper. He always wants to know more, to see more, and to somehow leave things better than how he found them. He works as a knight, patrolling the forest not because he is confident in his skills, but because he doesn't want someone else to have to do it. His self-sacrificing nature leads him to take on almost any mission. He acknowledges how stupid this trait is, but can't help but follow it, but not to suicidal levels. He's a team player, not an idiot.

In spite of (or because of) the way the world is, David enjoys the simple things most. He would be perfectly happy with a simple jog along a road, a nice loaf of bread, or listening to a good song. Although his job often instead presents him with a dangerous patrol through the woods, dry trail rations, and the cries of angry Pokémon, he takes it in stride that at least it isn't boring.

History :
David was born in a small hunting village that would one day be known as Eterna. He was raised on whatever food could be grown, scavenged, or hunted from the nearby forest. As such, he learned from a young age to help however he could, and he would often forage for Berries or fruits. He wasn't a particularly large or strong child, but he was quick and smart, and enjoyed running. Even if it was running away from a hungry Pokémon trying to get his food. When he was old enough, he learned how to use a weapon, favoring the axe for it's utilitarian uses. When he still ran, even from a Budew, his father taught him how to use the bow, so at least he could still help from a distance. He took to archery like a fish to water, if that fish was a hazard to it's fellow fish. Though he had skill, he was impulsive and a danger to his hunting companions. Eventually, they just let him go off on his own to hunt and forage. He soon got used to being alone, and enjoyed being able to explore the forest without his companions dragging him away from things.

During a routine expedition, David encountered a Misdreavus, a dangerous Pokémon due to its immunities. It was fighting a Pinsir, a fight the Pinsir could never win. Both Pokémon would be a threat to the village, but only the Pinsir could be salvaged and used. David joined the fight, stunning the Pinsir with an arrow to the knee, then using his axe to scare away the Misdreavus (the axe beinjg Steel, and therefore a threat to Ghosts). The Pinsir refused to back down, and David found he couldn't just execute the creature. He removed the arrow, leaving behind a valuable Berry so the Pinsir could heal faster. Though David expected to be attacked, Pinsir kept its distance, letting him go. It followed him back, and David realized he had proven his strength and compassion to the Pinsir, who apparently had a sense of honor.

David and Pinsir, who was affectionately nicknamed "Herc" after the legend of Heracles, soon became an inseparable pair. While few villagers were willing to hunt with David, none wanted to hunt with Herc. David's father suggested that David travel to Hearthome to become a knight, and find a better life for himself than a mere hunter. At only 17, David was crushed to leave home, but took his father's advice. It took him the better part of a year, but he eventually made it to the capital. Fortunately, the knights decided to station him back in his home village, to protect it from Pokémon and bandits, as food was a precious resource. David returned home, to the joy of his father and grudging respect of the rest of the village. Eterna Village now had official protection, and sent shipments of food to Hearthome. David and Herc protect the village and receive a salary from the king, which he shares with his father, who became the village Elder.

Pokémon Species :
Pinsir

Pokémon Level:
29

Pokémon Moves:
Vice Grip, Seismic Toss, Harden, Brick Break, X-Scissor

Pokémon Personality :
Herc is a warrior, loving to fight and grow stronger. While his main job is to protect David, he willingly rushes into fights, letting his human companion provide support. He fights hard, and he trains hard, but he also rests deeply. After a long day of guarding or training his strength, he loves nothing more than to eat honey and take a loooong nap.

Longbow, handaxe for close combat

Thanks for the acceptance!! SU has been modified. Put Mawile down to Lv. 27, and only let her keep Fire/Poison Fang. Was trying to make her match my own Shiny Mawile, that I have on my X-Version. Well-rounded, not necessarily OP, especially since we'll only get one Pokemon. Sorry 'bout that, and I can deal with the change.

Also added a little on Marek's Personality, to slightly decribe his fighting style.

Darkmoonphase you are unfortunately rejected once again. For a few more minor reasons this time, you mention in Yumi's personality that she enjoys video games... I think it should be fairly obvious why that is a problem. There are still a few minor grammar mistakes in your personality and SU, I wouldn't pick out on them normally but many of them were present in your previous attempt and they should have been fixed along with the other ones. Also (I'm not blaming you for this as it was my fault for not mentioning it) but in this timeline evolution through trading cannot exist as the technology involved in trading does not exist (pokéballs, trading machines, GTS, etc.) I am willing to give you another chance as your SU has drastically improved since last time and I think you could nail it with one more attempt, however this is the last chance I'm going to give, so be sure to really give it everything you've got.

Godzil an impressive SU, I liked how you tied in some extra lore with ancient Eterna and your character as a whole seems balanced and fair. I am pleased to say that you are accepted.

Sheraku your SU looks fine now, but a large part of this RP is developing bonds with your partner pokémon and the other players. The RP will be strongly emphasizing on team work and overcoming almost impossible odds... so in reality it's almost better to be UNDERpowered. XD

Greiger you are accepted. It's nice to see a relationship between pokémon and knight that still has room for improvement. Plus you know, Warhammers will always be badass.

As I mentioned earlier, it has come to my attention that certain mega pokémon need to be traded in order to evolve, to fix this problem I have added in the following conditions to evolve these pokémon instead of the norm.

Scyther -> Scizor: Must reach level 35 while holding any sort of metal object. (Eg. metal shards, metal jewellery, any sort of metal weapon, etc. etc.)

Kadabra -> Alakazam: Must reach level 35 while in possession of a "twisted spoon".

Haunter -> Gengar: Must reach level 40.

Also I can't help but notice... that we have very few female characters. Gender balance isn't really a major necessity but it would be nice. So for the time being female character are much more than welcome.

Here's some of my SU, I'll finish later.

Name:

Cameron Zabtroth

Nickname:

Cam

Age:

21

Gender:

Male

Appearance:

Cameron.png

Personality:

Cameron is an antisocial man. He doesn't really like people all that much, and spends most of his time out in the wild with Pokémon. He could bond with people if he tried, as seen with Syth. Though Syth is a Pokémon, it could still work. He often counts on other things (Syth for example, once again) to help him out in sticky situations. However, he is very skilled with a longbow, and will use his own in emergencies. He can often be rebellious against people he thinks are "mean" (his dad, for example) and refuse to do anything they say. The only real friend he has had in his life is, sadly, once again, Syth.

Of course, like anyone, he also has good qualities. He has a great amount of knowledge about nature, as he has spent over half of his life surrounded by it. Cameron also knows a lot about Pokémon, such as how they act, what they eat, and etcetera. Basically, he knows a lot about things in that category. Cameron is a good fighter, even if he doesn't like to do so very often. He treats Syth like he would treat a human (that he liked, anyway) which means he treats Pokémon as equals to humans, even if he is antisocial to the latter. Though when Syth tries to save Cameron's life (sometimes sacrificing his own) Cameron lets him do it, at least most of the time. Cameron can have a pretty good sense of humor at times, but he knows when to be serious.

His good qualities are evened out by his bad ones.

History:

As his mother passed away only days after Cameron's birth, he was raised by his extremely-strict father, and him only. It could be tough at times for him, and it got even tougher as he got older. It seemed as if he was getting more strict by the day. This indirectly helped develop his antisocial personality. Cameron considered running away from home many, many times.

At the age of 10, he decided to make it a reality. He broke out of his home when his dad left the village for the day. Racing into the forest, he didn't look back, but what he didn't realize was the dangers he was about to face. Pokémon. A great danger. He was able to ignore them until a terrible event occurred. He started to get tired from the running, and when he stopped to rest, he came face to face with an angry Gardevoir. It began to focus, then a small black hole began to form. It continued to grow until it was interrupted by a strong wind. It was blown away, then a Scyther flew towards it. The Scyther defeated the Gardevoir in a battle, and it flew over to Cameron, seeming to pity the boy. Cameron started to befriend the Scyther.

Even after the events that occurred that day, Cameron kept on running. The Scyther continued to follow him, and they began to form a bond. Cameron basically survived on the food he could find in the wild. Scyther protected him from the Pokémon that wanted to hurt him, and so over the years he had to worry less and less about angry Pokémon as they grew a stronger bond.

At the age of 20, he accidently found his way back home. However, his dad didn't live there anymore. Cameron did feel homesick at times, so he decided to stay there for a while. During this stay, he decided to nickname the Scyther who had followed him for many, many years. Syth sounded good to him, so he decided on that. He stayed for about a year.

In about six months, he was hunted down by a group of people and brought to the castle, along with many others.

Pokémon Species:

Scyther (Nicknamed Syth)

Pokémons Level:

27

Pokémons Moves:

Razor Wind (Egg)
Bug Buzz (Egg)
Quick Attack (Base)
Agility (17)
Wing Attack (21)
Fury Cutter (25)

Pokémons Personality:

Syth is, simply, a power-hungry Scyther. He tries to make himself stronger then everybody he sees. As most of his family was taken away from him by a group or Gardevoir, he has developed a strong hate towards the species. He is extremely persistent, and will never back down or forfeit. He hates to lose. Syth thinks of himself as a bodyguard to Camerom, though it isn't completely true. A Pokémon like this obviously enjoys battling, and Syth is no exception. However, he often tries to take down his oponnents with brute force instead of strategizing,

Weapon:

Longbow (He has this until he discovers Magic.)

Magic:

Razor Wind (He learns it later in the RP.)

Name:
Bors Ferus
Nickname:
The Iron Knight, The Tarnished Knight
Age:
27
Gender:
Male

Appearance:

Bors is a large man standing at 6'5 and weighing in at something around 200lbs. He's fairly intimidating with first glance as a n armored in well polish steel and an grandiose Aggron themed helmet. An emblem of house Fuego can be found on his breastplate. Underneath the armor, Bors is a burly heavily scarred man with a large beard and uncombed brown hair. His eyes are blue and worn, showing his status as a well-seasoned knight.

Personality:

Thou shalt Defend the Innocent
Thou shalt respect all weaknesses and shalt constitute thyself the defender of them.
Thou shalt love the country in which thou was born.
Thou shalt not recoil before thine enemy.
Thou shalt perform scrupulously the feudal duties.
Thou shalt never lie and remain faithful to thy pledged word.
Thou shalt be generous to everyone.
Thou shalt be everywhere and always the champion of the Right and Good and the foe of Injustice and Evil.

Bors has defined himself by this code of chivalry set on him at a young age. Bors is chivalrous and honor bound and very much in love with battle, or at least he was prior to the death of his Aggron. He is what many people imagine knights to be like in the best of light: honorbond and there to protect the innocent. In a way he's a bit naive with his stubborn need to maintain by his own knights code.

Outside of being a knight, Bors is a fairly boring man, generally not very talkative and prefers to spend his time training and bettering his skills to better serve his house. He's a bit of a downer with a constant preference to be by himself. Through his recent failures, Bors has become a bit self depreciating, with little belief in his ability as a knight, though bound by his words to act, further promoting solitary behavior. he only time he shows a lighter side is when he deals with his Aron, who has a tendency to create a lot of mischief and humor and even those moments are brief with the man.

History:

Bors family has been a long time servants to House Fuego, the ancestors to the now famed for Fuego Ironworks. The Ferus house has been known for raising Arons and their evolutionary family. As Aggrons are known for having incredibly defenses, the Ferus House became known for their abilities in protecting fortresses. The Fuego house on the other hand was more prone to having knights who dealt with fire pokemon making them a much more offensive base. The eventual combination of the two houses made for a powerful force. The two families eventually honed their skills with metal working as the Fuego house was located near a supported mine, full of gold, silver iron, and all other types of valuable metals. Reliant on the supplied metal, the Ferus house has come to be a lesser house to house Fuego ultimately acting as the defense for House Ferus, while house Ferus dealt with trading and offensive dealings.

Since birth Bors was destined to be a knight. He spent much of his youth learning the way of battle rather than how to raise pokemon as some of his relatives did. When he was finally of age to fight he was given a fully evolved Aggron as a gift to defend house Fuego with. Bors became very adept at being a knight and grew much fame throughout Sinnoh as the Iron knight of House Ferus due to many victories under his belt.

However in a difficult battle, Bors lost his beloved Aggron in a difficult battle defending House Fuego. Bors was distraught for a few months after the battle, unable to bring himself to the same level he once was at. Eventual earning the title The Tarnished Knight after embarassing personal defeats in battle, Bors soon retired from the battle field. Though offered a new Aggron the knight refused, feeling it inappropriate to take on a new pokemon when he failed to protect his last one. Through the months, Bors gained a fair amount of weight and often found himself in a drunken stupor. Eventually at the threat of being exiled for insubordination, Bors was given the task of raising a single Aron from an egg.

With no choice on the matter Bors took on the Pokemon. The Aron proved to lighten up Bors and bring him into a much jollier mood than he ever experienced, even before he lost his Aggron. The Aron proved to always find itself in shenanigans often involving eating or headbutting things. Through many headaches, both literally and figuratively, and much training Bors managed to calm the Aron to some degree, but the pokemon is still quite the personality in contrast to Bors.

With Aron nearly ready to evolve, Bors was summoned by the Royalty of Sinnoh himself to deal with the missing king and other mysteries even further beyond.

PCP304.png

Pokémon Species:
Aron

Pokémons Level:
30

Pokémons Moves:
Protect, Iron Head, Head Smash, Headbutt, Iron Defense, Mud Slap

Pokémons Personality:

Bors' Aron is a greedy little pokemon. He can always be seen eating something or the other, preferable the highest quality of refined steel, at the expense of Bors' pocket. Outside of his greed, the little Aron has the tendency to hit things with his head, leading to a lot of broken valuables amongst other things. He's a lot to handle. Otherwise, Aron is a happy little pokemon who isn't too familiar with the ills of the world. Bors' hopes that once he evolves he will be a little more serious about his duties.

Weapon:

Bors' favorite weapon is his warhammer. Modeled after an Aggron as themed by his house, it's an incredibly durable steel creation that has never failed him. For quicker combat he usually carries around a steel broadsword and shield, but he much prefers his warhammer for fights.

Kranic you are to remain reserved. Only due to the fact that your personality is a paragraph too short. Fix this problem and you'll be good to go, there were also one or two grammar mistakes in your history that I saw, nothing major, but it would be best to iron them out.

DarkMoonPhase you are accepted. Though just barely, I'm hoping you'll give your posts everything you have understood?

Note to all RPers:
I'll be having my own SU up sometime tommorrow in case anybody has been wondering about that.

More importantly, I will be submitting the IC thread when we have at least six characters made and ready. The actual RP will be starting soon after.

As all of the current slots have been filled I have added more. If anybody knows anyone who would be interested in joining this RP then please mention it to them. (Especially if they can play a female character) I would very much appreciate anyones efforts in this regard should they be willing to do so.

Name: Adelaide Victoria Cairon Nickname: Addie
Medium_portrait_ilyana_fe10.png

Age: 19 Gender: Female

Appearance:

Spoiler:

Personality:

Adelaide is a very thoughtful and studious young woman. She tends to stay in the background in daily life, just observing people not interacting much until she sees fit. But she prefers it that way. Adelaide is incredibly quiet, though that is due to the vow of silence she pledged. By her own choice she has made a vow of silence and has kept to not breaking it once. One of the most important things to Adelaide is keeping her word. She will never make a promise she can't keep and she will never break it.

Adelaide won't be silent forever though. She feels like she has sinned and shamed her family, thus the vow of silence was made. The last words she's spoke before the vow were telling her family she would speak again once the wrong she made is righted. She is very determined in her goals, thinking things through before she does them. Adelaide will never rush right into a fight. She'll pause, be cautious, get a feel for her enemy before she acts.

History:

Adelaide was born the first of five children in a small village that in the very distant future would be Floaroma Town. Her father Fredrick was a knight stationed in the village along with several others as protection from the dangers of the world outside. Adelaide's mother Flora worked with the other women in the town to take care of the children and the fields while the men hunted in the woods. Life was good for her, as she grew older Adelaide grew more into the faith the spiritual leaders of the village had and was also given responsibilities looking after the children with the older kids. Another one of Adelaide's duties was to watch over a heirloom that was very sacred to the village, an old staff said to have spiritual powers. Some in the village were skeptical, including her family but Adelaide believed.

Things changed in the village when Adelaide was 15 years old. Her father and the other knights weren't near the village and bandits attack them. Adelaide was torn between protecting the staff, or following orders to protect the children. She finally saw no choice but to do as ordered even though she wanted to follow her duty to protect the staff. In the end no one was hurt, but what little food they had stored was taken, along with the staff. Distraught and sure that she had shamed herself and her family Adelaide swore a vow of silence. The last words she spoke where telling her family and the village elder that she would not say a word until she retrieved the staff. Shortly after this event her father gifted her with an Abra and sent her away for training as a knight. She pushed herself and worked hard developing a way to communicate without words through signs and hand gestures. Four years later Adelaide left her training and returned to her village armed with knowledge of fighting, a Kadabra at her side. She also obtained a book that she filled with the signs she used to communicate. Within two months of returning to the village, and trying to search for the bandits who had stolen the staff she was summoned to the castle by a friend of her fathers and set off with him to meet her summons, pausing in her efforts to locate the bandits.

Pokémon Species:

Kadabra

Pokémons Level:

28

Pokémons Moves:

Teleport, Confusion, Psybeam, Fire Punch

Pokémons Personality:

Kadabra is very protective of Adelaide. The two have a strong bond from the years of training and he has grown used to the ways she communicates. It's all he's ever known from her. Kadabra doesn't take kindly to those insulting her either or trying to harm her and will be swift in his defense of her. He is also intelligent for a Pokemon, he has the capabilities for telepathy but only rarely uses it he prefers to communicate using the same signs and gestures used by Adelaide.

Magic:

Psybeam

Password:

Pokémon and the past are fun

Other:

Adelaide always has the book full of the signs and gestures she uses to show to new people. Eventually she will talk but it will be awhile before she ends the vow of silence.

Lucas Revak

Nickname:

Luke(Optional)

Age:

23

Gender:

Male

Appearance:

Chap418p02Riley.jpg

Personality

Smart, Honest, but impatient. These traits most easily resemble Lucas. Ever since his parents were murdered by rogue knights. He has not taken to kindly to others. The only one that's really able to get close to him is his pokemon. Lucas cares for his pokemon with everything he has. One time after a long battle Absol was really tired but a group of houndour came out of nowhere and started attacking Lucas and Absol. Even though Absol shouldn't have been battling, Absol got up and defended Lucas. Lucas is pretty smart he can size up a situation and know exactly what to do. Probably the most notice able thing about Lucas is how impatient he is. He doesn't want to wait for anything. When something needs to get done he wants to do it quickly. Another thing about Lucas is hes honest. If someone were to steal something the last person they'd believe it was, would be Lucas. Probably because of how his parents were killed Lucas doesn't take to kindly to people who look down on others.

History:

Growing up he was well taken care of. His brother being a knight Lucas was very jealous. One evening while Lucas was taking a stroll. He spotted an Absol standing up on a cliff. the creature spotted Lucas and quickly darted off. Saddened by the pokemon taking off he returned home. Upon reaching he could tell something was wrong. He ran toward the kitchen only to hit a wall which was actually a man. The rogue knight looked down and tried to grab Lucas but he was just to quick. Lucas ducked under the mans arms and got into the kitchen. Immediately after entering his eyes laid upon the bloody stiff bodies of his family. With Lucas unable to deal with the death of his family. He evaded the rogue knights and took off into the darkness. After running for about a mile he couldnt keep going so he found a nearby cave and took shelter in it. During the night he was startled by the same Absol from earlier entering the cave. Scared Lucas backed away but the Absol continued toward him and laid down and went to bed. In the Morning Absol alerted Lucas to the rogues coming. Together they escaped and thats what kindled their friendship. For the past 7 years they have been assisting others but they were growing tired of it they needed something new. With the arrival of a letter for him from a king. This could be the adventure they need. Being in the north they need to leave soon. After packing all of his supplies up, he left the village he was staying in. He went east so he could get to an easier path. He had been travelling for a few days now when he reach the mountains. After that he turned south so he could find a pass that would let him get to the east portion of Sinnoh. After about a week he found a steep pass between the mountains. He followed the pass and it let him out on the east side. Now only a few days away from Hearthome hes ready to begin this adventure!
