Pokemon Apricot

I've really been into Pokemon fangames recently, and me and a couple of friends had some ideas for a fangame! :>

StoryLine_________________________________________________________________
Your name is Marina. You live in the small town of Garland Town, in the region. It's your 14th birthday, and you're late! Hurry to lab, and get your Pokemon! You get there, and they're all gone. Well, there's one left; it's an Eevee. He says he'll give it to you, if you work on completing the Pokedex, a device that records Pokemon data. You accept and start your journey, battling Trainers, Friends, Gym Leaders, and Team Dusk.

Characters_________________________________________________________________
Marina : The protag of the game. Has a tendency to oversleep.
Ben (Rival) : Rude, always makes jokes that go too far.
Luca (Rival #2) : One of Marina's close friends. She recieved a togepi egg from her father at age 6. Since then, she has enjoyed raising pokemon and helping other people. She likes to buy gifts for Ben and Marina.
Prof. Cedar : Professor of the region, usually wants things in return.

Team Dusk : An organization wanted to head back into time, this way they can stop the invention of the Pokeball, and rule the region.

I really like the idea of the team trying to go back in time. That's really original and I haven't seen it anywhere on here, at least lately. I'm gonna keep an eye on this one. My only real suggestion right now is to make the game playable as boy and girl, not just a girl. People will still play it, but I know I would rather play as my own gender

I agree with Ray but I have some questions :
1. Is stopping the pokeball's invention the main goal of the villains?
2. Why can you only play as Marina?

Personally I like the idea of female only gameplay haha, Games seem to be male dominated, more so with Pokémon. You never see a female only game that has attractions to both genders, but you do see the opposite, so thats a nice little unique thing you have going on.
As for your game, eevee is nice, but why would the Professor have it? Personally you may want to tie Cedar in with Rowan, as in, close friends, or assassitant or something, since Rowan is an evolution specialist, and would explain why Cedar would have an eevee :P
another thing, Ben looks like a girl haha, unless ben is a girl, then I apologize :P

Anyway, This game sounds really cool! And I cant wait to see what you do with it :P

I was really confused until I noticed that Marina is the 2nd picture. I just assumed they would be in the opposite order. If Ben was second, well, theres boobs. Haha.

@JNathan : Yes, their mission is to stop the invention of the Pokeball, so they will be the only ones with them. That way they can capture Pokemon, and essentially rule the world.

Do you plan on having a mascot pokemon? Will the game only have real pokemon?

I can only think of using Celebi since it is the time pokemon. This could be like "Pokemon 4 Ever" almost

We were thinking Celebi as well! Also, I think we'll use real Pokemon, because I dont know how to design / sprite Fakemon @_@

Oh, I completely missed this reply! I never really thought of that. I guess he might of gotten it from Rowan, haha.

ye I'll be making the music for this game, I'll probably just be using/remixing music from the official Pokèmon games because I'm honestly not that good at creating music oops

The town is kind of boxy, like most people's first maps. I would recommend looking at the tutorial recently posted by Nintedork15 in Tutorials and Resources for help. I like the idea of a forest right away
