Fly jeans.
Was changing into my jeans and went to zipper the fly and realized I was wearing button fly jeans and I was like "Oh. I like button fly jeans so much more why did I do that?" and then I started wondering what others preferred so I came to post this thread.

Which do you prefer? Button fly jeans or zipper jeans?

Yoshikko January 26th, 2013 11:28 AM

Zipper jeans are more convenient, they take less time and they are less likely to open, but I definitely prefer button fly jeans looks wise.

Sweets Witch January 26th, 2013 11:59 AM

Zipper jeans, but only because I've never owned a pair of button fly. Buttons are good, though. I own many buttoned shirts, so it may be time to add some pants into the mix.

JayD January 26th, 2013 12:07 PM

I prefer zipper jeans lol, they're easier to open and close and are more convenient.

But I only wear jeans once in a blue moon. I always stay with sweat pants :C

Talli January 26th, 2013 12:31 PM

I don't really wear Jeans as I just hate zippers/buttons as they are very fiddly for me so I usaully wear trackky bottoms.

Meganium January 26th, 2013 12:45 PM

Jeans are jeans for me. I really don't have a preference on whether they're button fly or zipped or anything like that. xD

Ludger January 26th, 2013 12:53 PM

Wait what the hell are button fly? I'm so lost. I just wear jeans, man. Just jeans.

PlatinumDude January 26th, 2013 1:16 PM

I like zipper jeans because button jeans are hard to do, IMO.

Gold warehouse January 26th, 2013 2:27 PM

Buttons are absolutely horrible.

You're in a public toilet, you've had a few drinks and you're trying to button up your fly but can't because you're tipsy, your hands are cold, and your penis is flailing around whilst you're just trying to put it away and force that button into position.

The alternative, a zipper. You grab it, ensure no hairs are likely to get caught and pull up.

It's a clear decision.

Obvs. Jeans are passé, tracksuit bottoms are clearly where it's at (well really I just like the swishing noise).

Overlord Drakow January 26th, 2013 2:38 PM

Well I don't wear jeans (because everyone else does and the last thing I want is to be like everyone else) but yeah for the trousers I do wear, I prefer having the zip. Much quicker to sort out than buttons.

Sableye~ January 26th, 2013 8:54 PM

Jeans are jeans. >_>
My shirt will cover that portion of the jeans anyway.

Brynjolf January 27th, 2013 12:01 AM

I wear jeans every day of the week, excluding some saturdays when I wear short sweat pants. I don't even know what button fly is, and I'll assume that they use buttons to .. Well.. Button the pants.

I'd say good ol' zippers are the way I'd go. :)

Hannah January 27th, 2013 1:55 AM

Ugh, jeans. I hate jeans. Jeans, jeans, jeans. They're sooooo hot, especially if you live in the tropics. I wear shorts most of the time, but to answer the topic, zippers ftw!

Skylands January 27th, 2013 10:00 AM

Zippers. I only like buttons with shirts.

Lance January 27th, 2013 12:12 PM

I have zipper & button fly jeans, and I can say that I prefer zipper fly for every reason as stated by user Vendak above.

Kura January 27th, 2013 3:33 PM

Depends on the style of the jeans, really. High waisted look best with buttons IMO, and regular jeans look nice with zippers. Regular button jeans tend to "buckle" on me, which means it becomes ripply-looking, but I do like the look of them, especially on men. :3

Gyardosamped January 27th, 2013 3:41 PM

I prefer zipper jeans because, for me, they're easier to put on. I always find it difficult to maneuver the buttons. >.<

Sammi January 27th, 2013 5:11 PM

But... all my jeans have a zipper and a button! Are some just zippers? I'm confused. :(

I don't think I'd want jeans that were all buttons. My work pants already have 2 buttons to them and a lazy person like me doesn't have time to undo them all. Zipper, please! And one button. I like having one. Makes me feel more secure. :p

I don't know what the hell is wrong with the rest of the world, but here in Australia our jeans have both a zipper and a button.

I think that is what's meant by the zipper option. XD You can also find jeans where the front is nothing but a series of buttons.

Honest January 28th, 2013 9:47 AM

Button fly's are meh. I dunno, they don't really appeal to me, and I dont see how they help fashion wise, seeing as you can't even see them. So zippers all the way.

Brendino January 29th, 2013 12:35 AM

I've only owned one pair of button fly jeans, and I hated them. I'm guessing that it was just that particular pair that I had, but they would never stay fastened properly, so I ditched them after about 3 weeks for my regular ones with the zipper/button combo. Even with my 2 pairs of black work pants (one with pure button fly, other with zipper and buttons), I find myself wearing the zippered pair twice as often.

pikakitten February 1st, 2013 10:36 PM

I think I don't own, but maybe have owned previously, button fly, however, I prefer zipper. xD

Mr Cat Dog February 4th, 2013 3:10 AM

I love jeans, but it's amazing how little thought I give to this issue. I have sets of both types and don't really have an opinion one way or the other. Sorry!
