• One of the commanders of the Dark Organization...

2. Rival Light...

• Lives in Rintah Town...

• His family died after the Dark Organization attacked his town...

• Restarted his journey after escaping the Dark Organization...

3. Rival Claire...

• The little sister of Oceanshine's Master, Vincent...

• Was chosen by Gabrieleon, to be it's guardian trainer...

• Is weak-willed, but Gabrieleon is keeping her strong...

4. Rival Ryan...

• Started his journey with a Pikachu...

• Lives in Silkwind Town...

• You met up in the academy...

5. Rival Kevin...

• Your friend in Guardia Town...

• Chose Charmander to be his starter...

• The young brother of Dianne, the previous master of Oceanshine City...

To the Trainer Academy?
well, after you talked to the lady in there, you need to head north, where a rival will battle you, then head back to Silkwind Town, battle the Master(Gym Leader) there and then go back to the boat.
