People call a capture because they think a capture would be interesting. And it's fun to speculate on what kind of teams the cast will end up having.
"Beware of cute faces" actually makes me think it's more of a mischievous Pokemon, bothering the gang in some way or another. Putting it that way, the episode sounds like a filler.
