That's understandable. I only RNG my egg bred Pokemon, but I'll keep hunting for shinies. On Emerald I twice encountered shiny Pokemon I accidentally fainted. The second time I encountered one I was tempted to use my master ball because I wanted a shiny so bad.
My dream is to catch a shiny ditto. I want one so bad and since they can't be bred... Well I see it as elusive.
