And here I though I wouldn't have anything to say against using No$GBA but now I have, I thank you for that :D
This bug is caused by the ugly GBA emulation No$ provides.
Your only choice is to use VBA as recommended.
As for the white screen and this bug, don't download the random VBA, use VBA-M
