I'm going ahead and saying Gen I. It was the only gen where I relied on my other Pokemon rather than my starter. Venusaur was alright, but the other two were kind of mediocre. Squirtle is cute though!
Other than that, I dislike the Chimchar family and I think that's about it. My favorite starter family ever is Totodile
