She was probably crying because when you're an actor you don't get as much privacy as everyone else and it was emotional for her to talk about trying to have some privacy in her life. Or it could be that she was given an award that said "Hey, you've been acting for a long time and you've always been a damn good actor. You done good. Be proud." I think anyone would get emotional over something like that.
