Hi Marc, and welcome to PC.
If you want some competitive battling, you might want to check out the
Battle Center section which has been thriving in activity lately, and there's also a link to our Pokemon Showdown server there too. I'm +OshyHikari on the server and I mainly chat there but I occasionally do Random Battles which can get crazy.
