Personality: Koyatsu has a very... colorful personality. He has a tendency to show disrespect towards authority in any way possible and rarely represses his childish antics for any reason. He sees most authority as a way of repressing his personality which is a definite no-no. That being said, he ALWAYS expresses his opinion and emotions, even if it gets him in trouble. He tends to express a vulgar behavior. Compassion is not beyond him, but it's very hard to see through his inappropriate behavior. He expresses a think it do it behavior and thus will act on instinct, whether it's engaging a classmate in a brawl or throwing a paper airplane across the classroom while school is in session. Provocative conduct is even a norm for Koyatsu during combat. He has a habit for taunting his opponent whenever possible and being really aggressive to those he sees as aggressors, just to annoy them.

Pride in his abilities, overall cheerfulness, and merciful, Koyatsu loves combat and testing his fighting prowess against others. He has a strong sense of independence, hates losing, and wants to prove himself as a strong warrior. He believes in fair and honorable combat but doesn't necessarily refuse a challenge where the favorable outcome belongs to his opponents. He loves proving others wrong.

Koyatsu drinks his blood straight from the source if he can. Although he has never done otherwise, he probably will to survive. He sees his bloodlust as unusual and will display it openly among Youkai although he won't among humans.



In vampire form, Koyatsu is merciless and he practically becomes a different person. His hair turns white and his entire body increases in temperature due to increased blood flow throughout his body. He shows full intent to kill without a second thought and has a strong sense of pride. He tends to go berserk in this form.

History: Koyatsu knows nothing about his parents, only about his childhood and the rosary he has had since as early as he can remember. He lived in the Human Dimension for most of his life on in island off the coast of Japan. To survive, he learned how to not only live off the land, but also stole food and money from others, although only from those he saw as rude. He doesn't regret this one bit and enjoyed his time although he never knew he was a Youkai. He just knew about the drained feeling he felt when submerged in water due to living on an island, his strength (which wasn't strange because he didn't know any humans to compare his to) and his strange blood lust. Soon, when he turned 14, he fell off of a tree and his rosary tore. Soon afterwards, he transformed and learned about his vampire form. Experimenting some, he began to learn how to have more control over his immense physical abilities, although he had little to no restraint.
The day of discovering his powers, he was discovered on the island by another vampire, an adult named Kyu. Kyu noticed Koyatsu's vampire abilities and gave him another rosary, although older in appearance although didn't tell him any specifics, other than that they were both Youkai and that the necklace would help restrain his powers. Koyatsu never mastered his ability to restrain his strength so he still wears the makeshift rosary. Kyu then proceeded to help Koyatsu blend into society, but Koyatsu initially denied him. Kyu then displayed his full-fledged physical power to Koyatsu and told him he could learn to perfect his powers if he did three things. The first one was to restrain himself from attracting unnecessary attention around humans in the human world, the second was to allow Kyu to adopt Koyatsu "on paper," and the third was to go to an institute to learn more of Youkai at a distant school. Intrigued by this proposal to become stronger and learn more of the origin of his powers, Koyatsu accepted.

Weakness: Aside from the weaknesses he shares with other vampires, Koyatsu he isn't very book smart, although he can be quick witted. Water in small dosages also makes him delirious and unpredictable as well as significantly weakens him. The same goes for when he goes without blood. He also does not have much knowledge about his power and doesn't even know outright he is a vampire, though he suspects it. Generally he knows nothing of other Youkai or society in general, which is why Kyu adopted him.
