No matter what it is, I've watched Korra and it's pretty swell.

I watched the first 5 or 6 episodes of Avatar. Considering I'm a massive shounenfag I should probably have liked it, I didn't.

Second and third season are way better. It's more about themes and story than plain Faiya Powa. It's my favorite psuedo-anime.

I like Korra because it's got a steampunk setting.

Korra is what I would call "soft core anime." It's not really anime in the traditional sense. I'm not much of an anime person either :P

I think it is penises, it usually is.

The sense that is isn't Japanese and is animated with that awful flash style animation. I guess you mean it has a plot but isn't Japanese.

Awful? Korra's animation is great. Yeah, I guess at least a part of it is that it's American, and most animes are Japanese.

As far as the term is used outside of its original Japanese meaning, all anime are Japanese. Maybe not completely, though, like Code Lyoko or Afro Samurai, but to an extent they have to be.

And yeah, Korra has great animation, as does season 3 of TLA

I tried to watch Korra, but only got to about ep4 or5 before getting bored. I was never a fan of Avatar tbh

The early parts of the first Avatar series weren't very interesting, no.

And considering American animation is never actually animated in the US (because lel outsourcing to Asia), who knows what's anime and what's not. The wonderful thing that is Batman: The Animated Series, for example, had animation outsourced to studio Sunrise. Made in Japan. Is it anime?

Yeah I agree. It was pretty good the whole way through, But it started to become AMAZING halfway through Book 2.
