Scott - Ambush

Scott pushed away the Dusclops that appeared out of nowhere while Victor took care of the other one. He was pushed backwards, and started to crawl backwards a bit. This was his first fight, and these pokémon looked almost demonic. Their red eyes glowed in the darkness like blood, and stared into Scott's own eyes. Knowing he was weak right now, he quickly pulled off a power swap, raising Scott's attack dramatically, then throwing a shadow ball into dusclops's chest, letting it slowly sink to the ground, then disapear into the floor. He had never seen a pokémon so scary before. As Scott got to his feet, he done a small jump for joy, which he found himself doing uncontrollably. He was so excited during the battle, but so glad it was over. He started to understand and grasp what being an explorer was like. He noticed that King was attacked first, so Scott took his bag off with is psychic powers, and found a potion he had brewed a few days before. He handed it over to king, and then closed is bag after bringing out bringing out three apples. He handed one to everyone.
Scott: I tried to stock up before I left with all sorts of things, as I had no idea what to bring. Sorry if the apples aren't ripe yet, they were only picked the other day
Scott slumped himself on the ground, worn and tuckered out. He took a bite of his apple whilst regaining his breath.

Sensei Marek
Crossblade Crew Base

Marek nodded, agreeing with what Sillerax had said. "Sounds good. Tomorrow, then." However, he was surprised by a grumbling noise from behind him, and turning, saw an injured Growlithe. Sillerax excused himself and went to tend to the Growlithe's wounds. He also fed the Growlithe a Sleep Seed so that it fell straight asleep like worn out Skitty. Sillerax returned to the table. Marek was about to ask him where he'd found that injured Growlithe, but the Charmeleon spoke first. "If you don't mind me asking Marek, how much time do we have until your father... well... you know... runs out of medicine?" Marek was kind of angered by the question. It wasn't Sillerax's fault, it was just that the question brought the image of Marek's dying father back into his mind. His fist clenched and he had to struggle to hold onto his firm expression, almost breaking into a frown. He knew that Sillerax had meant no harm, and had to remind himself of that. The question was necessary.

With a small grumble, Marek responded. "I transferred about 1500 Poke to my father's account, and the medicine costs about 200 Poke per vial. He needs a new vial roughly once every two days, so I wouldn't say we have too much time on our hands. Maybe a month, tops."

"Anyway, we should really head to bed. I want to be up early tomorrow to start the investigation."

Jack King
Old Ruins

King took the potion. Although he didn't need too much replenishment, he took a sip anyway, and ended up feeling as good as new. He decided to store the potion away in his pack for later use, too. The Castform also took the apple that Scott had presented, and although he mentioned it might be a little ripe, it was in fact delicious. "Thanks, Scott. The apples are great," Jack said. Victor nodded as he, too, took bites from his apple. "Now, as soon as you're ready, let's keep going."

When everyone had finished their apples, King began leading the way through the Ruins once again. He hoped they wouldn't meet any more deranged Pokemon on their trek. The scenery was the same the more they progressed, though he noticed that there were signs on top of some of the buildings in a strange unknown language. The road was peculiar too; it was entirely black, with small yellow lines running across its center. The larger black part of the road cut off into two smaller paths at its edges, both seemed relatively normal and made of stone, though they seemed very eloquently cut out from between the main road and the buildings. He wondered what sorts of Pokemon could have built all this, and how.

Suddenly, movement in the ruins. Across the street ran a strange, fast Pokemon who disappeared in haste. He emerged from behind one building, then hid behind the next. "I saw a Pokemon. Come on!" King declared, floating faster, hoping the other Pokemon would keep up with him. He raced to the area where the figure had disappeared, to find... nothing. "Damn! Must've escaped!" King concluded.

"Well, we're definitely not alone here," King said to the other two. Victor nodded silently, before his head suddenly raised. His eyes and ears looked alert. "I heard something," he said. King warily looked around, before spotting what appeared to be another figure in the distance. He could barely make out the word "Help" which was probably what Victor had heard. "Let's go," King ordered, before the three set off to see the figure.

It was the Mareep, and she wasn't alone. All around her were crazed Pokemon like the ones they'd encountered before. One Pokemon, a rather muscular Monferno, carried what looked like a steel pipe in one hand, and danced around with it uncontrollably, occasionally banging it on the black road. He kept screaming, and his eyes were red with rage. Other Pokemon danced too, but none carried pipes like he did. When King and the others arrived, he counted five total Pokemon. He would be able to take on at least two, but he wondered about his team mates, especially Scott. Perhaps it was a bit rash to give him a mission so early on... King reflected. The Mareep appeared afraid of them as much as of the wild Pokemon, apparently in shock. "Don't worry," King comforted her, "we're here to help." No sooner had he said this than the crazed Monferno had begun attacking him with his pipe. King floated backwards a step, avoiding the first hit, before he countered with a small thunderbolt. However, the bolt was not aimed at the Pokemon, but rather at the pipe he was holding. The electricity from the bolt entered the metal pipe, shocking the Monferno so that he dropped the pipe.

The Monferno, now even more enraged, lunged at the little Castform. Meanwhile, its allies turned to King and his allies, ready to attack. This gave the Mareep an opening, so she fled further into the ruins. The Monferno who had lunged had quickly met with a Weather Ball attack, though it had only pushed him a pace back because it was not charged. The next thing King did was cast a Rain Dance, causing storm clouds to gather over the group and release rain. The water poured on all the Pokemon in the area, transforming King into his Rain form, and weakening the flames of the Monferno. The next Weather Ball attack hit the Monferno directly and, having been turned to a Water-type attack, propelled him backwards until he hit the ground, fainted.

Four enemies remained: a Rhydon, an Umbreon, a Zorua, and a Gible. All four Pokemon looked dangerous; they all had their teeth bared and all had sinister, glowing red eyes.

Scott - Mareep

Scott peered around the corner, noticing the 5 pokémon around the lost mareep. The King was the first to react, striking at the Monferno with a weather ball, then a rain dance, followed by another weather ball. The other 4 pokémon all turned towards the group which allowed mareep to escape. Perhaps this was a job fit for Scott. As a large Zorua split of to the right of Scott (and him being in the centre, and King to his left) and a Rhydon closely followed it. A Gible charged towards Victor, whilst an umbreon stormed towards Scott. Typical, and ironic too. Scott, stepped back a little. Umbreon launched a full on tackle attack, and Scott quickly used reflect to reduce the damage, followed by a teleport behind him and a shadow ball to the back, not very effective. None of his moves were. Umbreon had the advantage. Scott dodged Umbreon's dark pulse attack swiftly by jumping, and launched another shadow ball attack. Perhaps the terrain could prove to his advantage. Scott was hit by Umbreon's trump card attack, which sent Scott flying in the other direction, basing him against the wall. The Umbreon was very powerful, perhaps he could use that too. Scott slowly got back to his feet, then quickly pulled off a power swap attack, raising his attack and sp attack to the limit, and lowering Umbreon's attack by a lot. He then launched a psyshock attack, knowing this was ineffective, and aimed towards a brick pillar, presumably the remains of an old house. It started to tobble over the whole battlefield due to Scott's powerboost, and endangered the King and Victor. Scott quickly dodged out of the way.
Scott: Quick, get out the way.
The pillar was easily avoided by Scott, but the King, being ganged up on by two pokémon at once, showed difficulty in moving.

Sillerax "Fearbringer" Colossus: the Treasure Hunter

Sillerax listened to Marek silently, as he explained the circumstances, Sillerax nodded, thinking to himself that doesn't give us much time for dilly-dallying.

Then Marek continued, "Anyway, we should really head to bed. I want to be up early tomorrow to start the investigation."

Sillerax nodded, "very well, good night, you two, until bright and early tomorrow. Oh and Marek," Sillerax said as he was getting up, he reached into his bag and pulled out a bag of 1000 poke and a berry, and handed it to Marek, "this is for you and Sareli to split, it's the reward for that Syther, don't worry I didn't take any of it."

With That Sillerax walked into his room and went to bed, ready to start early tomorrow.

Fighter Michael Abbott

He saw the Riolu wave at him, which caused him to smile, thankful that she was ok. He walked towards her, nodding in greeting. "Hey there," he said to her, "looks like your mission was successful, as well." He looked down to her foot, seeing that she was hurt. "Are you ok?" he asked, concerned. He took off one of his gloves and reached into his pocket, producing an Oran Berry, which he then gave to her.

Quickly putting the glove back on, he remarked, "I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to finish our introductions, so let's try again. I'm Mike Abbott. What's your name?" He held out his other hand, as though ready to shake hands with her.

"Kid you shouldn't do things like that." said Victor to Scott after making the pillar fall in the opposite direction with Psychic. The force of that pillar knocked out the Rhydon. Suddenly the Gible that he was fighting earlier leapt at him . He easily sent it away with a Psychic which knocked it out. It had already sustained heavy damage earlier on the battle. Victor, unlike Scott was much more experienced at using special moves so this was pretty easy. The pokemon however creeped him out. They were not overly strong but their red eyes really creeped him out.

Victor then noticed that Scott was having some trouble with an Umbreon. With a quick Thunder Wave he paralysed the Umbreon. Then he told Scott, "You better move away I'm gonna finish of that thing."

With that Victor charged and released an incredibly powerful Thunder. The Umbreon barely survived and that was because of it's great defense. It was however paralysed and almost gone. Seeing Scott he realised that he had wanted the pillar to fall on the Umbreon but he made a mistake resulting in the pillar almost killing Victor and King.

"Now finish it off kid." said Victor to Scott.

Jack King
Old Ruins

The rain still fell, though King increased the intensity of it in an attempt to discourage his attackers. Two of them had ganged up on him: the Rhydon and the Zorua. The Rhydon seemed slowed by the rain, but the Zorua only snarled like a rabid Houndour as it came closer. Naturally, it was the first one to attack. The Castform floated swiftly out of the way of his initial lunge, then struck him with a Weather Ball, sending him flying back. These Pokemon, though they looked rather tough, weren't at all...or so he thought. The Zorua got right back up again, snarling as usual, and slowly paced back towards King. The Castform was about to begin focussing more on the powerful Rhydon, but suddenly, a giant structure began crumbling above him...some kind of pillar. It came crashing down upon both him and the Rhydon, but King noticed it just on time.

"Quick, get out of the way," he heard Scott shout. He quickly floated out of the way, so the pillar only crushed the poor insane Rhydon. After the initial crash and a slight pause from the crazy Pokemon, who looked in astonishment at the sight, everyone resumed to fighting. King looked behind him to see that Scott had been the cause of the falling pillar, and noticed Victor scolding him. King wanted to go over there and join in the scolding, but he was preoccupied with an incoming Zorua. It growled as it creeped closer to him, finally launching the same kind of lunge it had before. When it was but inches away from the small floating Castform, he launched a smaller Blizzard attack at the thing, followed by a powerful Weather Ball, without even moving. He watched as the Zorua was launched backwards by the combination of attacks, finally crashing into the nearby wall of a building. The red lights faded from its eyes, and it was gone.

Now King watched, to see if the new member of the Arcane Alliance could take down the already crippled Umbreon. Surely, it would not prove to be an obstacle. The powerful Thunder attack of Victor had already brought it to its knees. He wasn't sure what to feel about Scott; his reckless behaviour presented a problem, but on the other hand, he was new. He still had to be trained in the ways of the Alliance, and Jack had to admit that bringing him on a mission as soon as he started might have been a rash decision. Still, he believed in learning on the job, and this was the perfect way to do it, despite the fact that the little Castform had almost been killed by his own team mate...

Scott - Iresponsible

Victor brought the pokémon down to it's knees. He noticed that the pillar he had knocked down had hit the rhydon and knocked him out. That was one plus, yet it had missed umbreon. He knew that he had no moves effective against umbreon, so the fight had been very difficult for him, but he somehow felt proud of himself, although he didn't know how Victor and King really felt about him. He knew he had nearly killed King and Victor, that much was true, but he found himself laughing at the fact that he had just knocked down a pillar. Scott shook his bag off his side, and pulled out a seed, a blast seed, then turning to Victor, who was directly next to the paralyzed umbreon. Scott sighed and put the seed away. He knew he had to be responsible and think about his actions from now on. He ran up to the paralysed umbreon, turned around, and did a backwards kick to the face, knocking the umbreon out, as he had already taken a bit of damage. Scott was suprised that had came out of him, as his usual strategy would be a special attack. He wasn't to fond of physical attacks, but this time it was is only choice.

Scott knew what he would be training for now, possibly a bug type move, like signal beam would help him defeat dark type pokémon. As King finished his battle with the two pokémon Scott decided that an apology was in order

Scott: Sorry about that, it wasn't a very good match up, I didn't really know what to do.

He looked towards the floor te whole time whilst saying that, knowing what he had done was irresponsible, thanks to Victor, and that he would probably be punished.

"It's okay Scott anyway it's your first mission. Just one thing is that you have to focus a bit more on the task." said Victor to Scott while King took care of the Zorua. Here have some Oran Berries said Victor handing the berries on to everybody.

Suddenly out of the shadows came three figures - a Golurk, Rotom and Muk. The Golurk was holding the poor Mareep in his hand.

"Damn Druids. Listen King and Scott, I'll take down the Rotom, King you take down the Golurk and Scott try to finish off the Muk. He'll be weak to your Psychic attacks." told Victor leaping at the Rotom.

Scott - Muk

Out of nowhere tree druids made an apearence, a golurk with the mareep in it's hands. First thing was getting Mareep to safety. Before the pokémon had a chance to attack, Scott took Mareep away with psychic, and placed the pokémon behind King, knowing that he was stronger than Scott. Victor then told Scott that psychic moves were good against muk, as if he didn't already know. Scot didn't very much like Victor, he was a bit snobby in a way, but Scott definately looked up to him, for he was very strong.

Scott then launched a psyshock attack at Muk, who retaliated with sludge bomb. Scott imediately used light screen in defence, guarding Victor and King in the process with a wall of light. The attack hit Scott, but didn't do much damage. Scott then used confusion to lift muk into the air, and then consecutively used shadow ball about 6 times in order for a knockout. It was a strategy Scott called, imobility spam, meaning the enemy was imobile whilst Scott used a move that he was capable of using whilst the pokémon was in the air several times, and it had worked a treat for him in the past, however pokémon with a large IQ can easily figure it out, and break free with a special attack, that was it's downfall, however in this case Scott pulled it off easily. Muk fell to the ground with a thud. He was always the last to finish. He turned to King.

Scott: So is that mission complete, or is there something you want to do first.

Scott then turned to the mareep, who was shaken with fear, in an attempt to comfort him/her.

Scott: Hey there! It will be okay, we are here to take you home. You can trust us.

Scott beamed happily at the pokémon, still unsure of it's gender as it hadn't spoke yet. He then turned back to King and awaited a reply.

"I'm sure they're ok. Just running late, thats all," he shrugged, looking around as well. He had no idea what to do next. Suddenly, Jen ran into the room with the last party slowly trudging their way in. They all looked like they were attacked, but there was something off about it. They were seemingly depressed about something. Suddenly, the thought occurred to Mike: Where was Brutis? He wasn't with them at all. He looked to some of the others, including Faber, to see if anyone knew what was happening.

Jen was trying to take control of the situation, though. "You two," she called out to a Sandshrew and a Mankey that accompanied Mike on his mission earlier, "Please go gather the others that aren't here. We have something we all need to...discuss." The two pokemon nodded and scampered off to get the rest. She looked like she was ready to cry. Mike glanced sideways to Faber, shaking his head. "I don't like the looks of this," he murmured just loud enough for her to hear.

As more members came in, Bruce and Dan came to Jen's side, talking with the rest of Brutis' team. After a few minutes, Dan stepped forward and cleared his throat. "Attention, everyone," he called out so everyone would hear him, "We have some distressing news. Brutis, our newest leader, had fallen in the line of duty. During his mission, the group was suddenly attacked by a Dusknoir and a pair of Dusclops. Though they all fought bravely, the group was forced to turn back. Brutis tried to distract the enemies long enough to get the rest of the group away from them, but it cost him his life." His head hung heavy for a second before continuing. "For the time being, since I am second-in-command, I will lead the Breakers until a more-suitable candidate can be found. I have made it our mission to send a larger group to recover Brutis' body. Bruce will lead this mission and the former group will lead them to the location of the site. We need a few others to defend this group from any more marauders. Jen and I will start searching for others to become the new commander."

Jen came forward and stood by Dan, tears rolling down her cheeks. They left the room as Bruce came forward. "Alright, who's going to come with us?" he announced, waiting for any takers. Most everyone just stood around, not really moving. Mike understood why, though. It always seemed that their group was cursed with leadership troubles. Their commanders never seemed to last that long, to be taken away at their prime. He wondered who would be taking Brutis' place. Mike, though, wanted to see him one last time. He looked to Faber, then turned to Bruce and walked forward. "I'll go, if you want me to."

Bruce looked Mike up and down, then nodded, "Very well, Abbott," he stated, "You can come with us." He looked back out to the others and asked, "Anyone else?"

Victor Samuels

The Rotom couldn't do anything when Victor lunged at it. He used a Psychic to knock it back and then used a Quick Double Team to surround it. The Rotom got angry and used a Hidden Power on all of them revealing the real Victor. Hover Victor was a bit too fast for the Rotom and he struck back with his own Hidden Power knocking the Rotom down.

"Now, what are you'll Druids doing here?" asked Victor holding a Blast Seed threateningly to the Rotom. "Mercy, mercy. We're not the Druids. We just saw this Mareep here and decided to pick on it." said the Rotom pleadingly. " I don't have anymore use for you so go to sleep." said Victor throwing a Sleep Seed in the Rotom's mouth sending it to sleep.

Victor noticed that Scott had defeated the Muk and the Mareep was by his side. Victor slung the Rotom over his shoulders and headed there. "I suggest that we take this Rotom to the base and have it questioned. We need to find if there are any other bad pokemon in this area." said Victor to Scott and King.

Jack King
Old Ruins

All King did was watch and sigh as Victor and Scott attacked the three Pokemon that had appeared before them. So did the Golurk, in fact, not moving even when the Mareep cloated out of his hand. King didn't think his species had the capacity to feel surprise. He felt somewhat disappointed in his team mates at what they were doing, especially Victor who had simply assumed that, because of their species, they were members of the infamous Dark Druids. Scott took down the Muk with ease, and Victor almost had the Rotom, before Victor's target announced that they were plain bullies, and nothing more. The Golurk and King simply watched the whole fiasco go on. Then, Golurk turned towards the little floating Castform, a look of confusion in his eyes. King turned to his team mates, after they had finished talking and fighting. "Well, good job guys," he said sarcastically, a look of disappointment on his face. "To be honest, Victor, I'd have thought you would be more wise than this. Pay attention!" King floated over to the fainted Muk, "Do they bear anything on their bodies to indicate they are Dark Druids? Insignias, emblems, tattoos? No, Victor, they do not. You assumed because of their species. Next thing you know, you'll go attacking random Rotom, Muk, and Golurk on the streets," he scolded. He felt the harshness of his tone was necessary, because he did not accept such a lack of judgement on the part of a more experience member.

He noticed Scott comforting the Mareep. He floated over to him. "Scott, this was your first mission, so I do not blame you for listening to Victor here. Though collapsing the pillar wasn't exactly a good idea, you're new at this. You will learn in time. Therefore, you may go to sleep with food in your belly tonight." King turned to Victor, "You, on the other hand, shall go with an empty belly, because of your awful lack of judgement. Next time, you shall wait for my OK before assaulting anybody."

King turned to Scott one last time. "Oh, and for future reference, you will do the same. Consider this lesson number one: always listen to King." With that, he began floating back the way they had come, expecting the other two to follow. "Oh, and no, Victor, we shouldn't bring him back for interrogation," he said as he proceeded further, "I mean, can't you tell there are more bad Pokemon around here? We don't need to ascertain what we already are certain of." As if on cue, the howl of what sounded like a Houndoom resonated throughout the old city, striking fear into the Mareep, who followed closely behind King.

Scott - Scolding

Scott was almost in tears as King scolded him and Victor, but he was glad that he had let him off. It was hard work, especially not knowing what to do, and feeling same for being rough on that muk. Scott didn't answer back to King, but instead turned back to mareep. A howl echoed through the city, sending an icy cold wind down Scott's spine, right on que. Mareep jumped, and Scott imedaitely went to calm it. Everyone seemed in such a bad mood now, it was only a matter of time before Victor would snap, and somehow, Scott felt that he was to blame.

The group came to a narrow passage way, and King didn't hesitate to go first. Victor followed, and Scott and Mareep paused for a moment before following. Mareep stayed in front of Scott, but often turned back worried about what was behind it.

Scott: Erm, guys..

Scott thought about what he would say next, as he didn't want any more shouting from anyone.

Scott: Would you, like me to teleport us all out.

Scott was expecting a reply like 'Why didn't you say this earlier' or something sarcy from Victor, and a straight answer from King, but then again, in everyone's current state he wasn't sure if he would even get an answer at all. Scott didn't look up, but continued to walk down the narrow passage.

"Damn, damn." said Victor banging his head on the wall. He had always been too reckless but this time he had gone too far. Taking down ordinary pokemon who were only the same species of the Druids. He had always wanted to be a great explorer and so that made him jump into things without thinking first. But this did not mean he was dumb. He was really intelligent but never really thought of things before jumping straight into them.

"Sorry King and sorry Scott. I was already expecting Druids here when those pokemon cameout." said Victor apologizing to King. Then there came the sound of a Houndoom howling and Scott asked whether they would like to teleport and started to walk down a narrow passage. "Are you kidding, we need to find out what that is and end all these strange things happening in this area." said Victor walking slowly but cautiously. Then out of the passage came a Houndoom with glowing with red eyes with two other pokemon behind him. "Now King what should we do?" asked Victor, with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

Scott - Runes

Victor rejected his offer, figures. King still hadn't spoke, and didn't get a chance to as a houndoom aproached them with the same red eyes. Victor spoke with sarcasm.

Victor: Now King, what do we do?

Scott didn't want to get to involved this time, but he certainly wanted to help out. He quickly set up light screen, knowing that fire was quite often special, and after, just in case, he set up reflect as well. King was still at the front leading everyone, so Scott was unsure wethr the range on his reflect and light screen had reached him. He breathed a sigh of relief as he noticed the slight sparkle of a wall of light in front of King, meaning it had worked.

Scott suddenly felt a heavy breathing down his back wich made him jump, then he started to silver, with a face that just looked like he had seen a ghastly. They were creepy... He slowly turned around to find himself confronted with a rather large dusclops. Scott just stared at it for a few seconds, as it did to Scott. It was more of a staring competition than a battle at the moment. The dusclops then backed away. Scott noticed that the pokémon did not have the red eyes that most of the pokémon here had, so it looked friendly. The dusclops then dropped something on the floor, some kind of scroll.

Scott: Is that, for us?

The dusclops nodded in reply, then disapeared into thin air. Scott ran forward and picked up the scroll. He ran back to the group and opened it discreetly whilst everyone was still busy with the Houndoom. It was some sort of message, written in ancient runes. Mareep too had a look at the message. Scott pulled out a notebook, and flicked through several pages. He pulled out a pencil and started to scribble notes.

T-H-E--O-L-D--B-A-N-K the note read. There were a few more lines to dis cipher so Scott continued to read.

I-S--W-H-E-R-E--W-E....

S-U-F-F-E-R

S-O-S Scott quickly shouted to the group.

Scott: The old bank! Where is the old bank in this city? One of the pokémon living here just told me tat the old bank is where and why this is happening, perhaps if we find it, then we can stop this commotion!

Scott actually felt pleased with himself, deciphering that message. He had learned how to do that from his foster father, who used to be a famous explorer Scott felt like now King and Victor might be able to realize just how good he was, and that he had some traits that they didn't, although with King's knowledge he wouldn't be suprised if he could read ancient runes. Then something springed to mind. If the dusclops used ancient runes to talk, then surely he is quite an old pokémon. He must have suffered for a long time, yet he didn't understand how it was the only pokémon that wasn't quite literally possessed. Now he felt an urging curiosity, and wanted to find out more.

Bruce looked down to Faber, who wanted to go despite her injury. She seemed to be ok enough, but would she get more hurt from being with them? "Well," he said, "I guess you can come. Just be careful...we don't want a repeat of the earlier mission, do we?" Bruce gave a chuckle as he saw no one else come forward. "Very well," he stated out loud, "We will return after we've given our former commanders a proper burial." He then turned to his larger group of adventurers, "Hendrick, you and the others will lead the way. Let's go."

Mike turned to Faber, looking a little concerned. She was injured, after all. Ah, well...she could defend herself pretty well, he figured. "I'm surprised no one else is coming," he said to her, "This is pretty rough. Two commanders gone in one day. Wonder who Dan'll find to replace them?" As he followed the large group, they all started up the mountain, ready to find their fallen comrades.

Sy scanned the area but couldn't see Ryan or the Ponyta. He began to get nervous, there was no way he would be ab;e to fight off the Bronzong by himself. He took a couple of steps back.

Oh man, what did I do to deserve this?

Sy trembled in fright, he wanted to run back to the base, but he didn't want to lead those Bronzong there. Plus if Ryan and the Ponyta were still nearby he didn't want to leave them. He had very little choice but to stand and fight so he fired another Focus Blast.

Naomi Sanders
Naomi shook her head and pulled out an oran berry of her own from the inside of her knapsack. She was tired and would like to go back to base, and sleep. She lied down abruptly on the floor, her breath ragged from breathing out too much ice breaths the past battle.

"You okay there?" Ewan asked the little cubchoo on the floor.

Naomi gave a nod before hoisting herself up. Dusted herself which caused her to snuffle. She looked around the room and saw how much of a mess they made. She shrugged.

"I think we should head back. I'm worried about what happened to base." Ewan said.

Naomi nodded as the breloom looked over both of them.

Naomi's ears perked up as she heard the sounds of footsteps rushing. There was a voice and she listened in closely to hear it was someone calling their names. She recognized the voice as someone she knew from the woodland wanderers... She just couldn't remember the name... was it Mario? Max?

"Someone's coming..." She alerted the two.

"I hear it too... Whoever it is, he's calling for our names." Ewan said.

"Nam, Chief, Ewan! I finally found you guys!" It was a Lopunny.

"Oh... It's just you..." Naomi said, it sounded mean due to her monotonous tone but it wasn't of her intention to be mean. She thought using 'you' would be a safe choice since she can't remember his name.

"That was cold... were you expecting another person?" The Lopunny fakely looked crestfallen.

"No. That's just the way I talk. Problem?" Naomi rolled her eyes as the Lopunny smirked.

"Ice princess indeed." She heard the breloom say. Naomi ignored it and continued to search around the room for anything useful.

The lopunny suddenly jumped.

"I'm sorry. I got sidetracked... I'm here to tell you what happened to base." the Lopunny said on a serious note and started his story.

Sergeant Samuel "DarkKnight" Farseer
Outside the Breaker's base

Samuel moved silently towards the base of the Breakers, seeing the base again was like a breath of fresh air to him and he wanted to savor the moment of his return.

The last time Samuel was here he was a Kirlia with a dark past. Now he is a Gallade with a bright future, although still his nickname that everybody used was still probably going to be 'DarkKnight' he didn't mind.

He finally made it to the entrance, he paused a moment, taking a breath, then walked into the base. Surprisingly the base was silent... abnormally silent. He continued walking through the base then he stopped in the dinning hall, as he thought he saw out of the corner of his eye something of interest.

Samuel walked into the dining room, he glanced around and saw that nobody was there except for a very familiar Machoke, Samuel approached the Machoke, who appeared to be either tired or something along those lines.

Sure enough the Machoke was indeed familiar... it was Shatter-Fist! Samuel continued his approach, "hey there, Shatter-Fist. how has life been with the Breakers?" Samuel hopped that he didn't startle the pokemon, Shatter-Fist was always a quiet fellow.
