Collette – Lake ??? --> The Underground
It didn't take long for a battle to break out between the two standing closest to the lake. Their fight started with the female leaping high into the air and quickly smashing herself into the boy. He took the blow fairly well, back-handing the bunny girl straight onto the ground. The boy immediately struck the girl, although his attack appeared to be much more powerful than his earlier slap. Just before being able to finish her off, someone else stood over the downed bunny and created a shining wall of light. However, this was immediately shattered by the boy's strike, landing a solid hit on the newcomer's shoulder. As soon as his blow had landed, Marceline made a quick bet. "I bet an hour that that girl wins." Occasionally, Marceline/Collette would make a wager with one another (Proxy's rarely involved). Their usual agreement is if Collette wins the bet, Marceline would remain silent for a predetermined amount of time, speaking only when absolutely necessary. However, due to both Marceline never winning a bet, and Collette assuming that it'd be something like 'Listen to Marceline's instructions for a predetermined hour/month/second,' she doesn't actually know what the Mawile would be wanting to take.
"You're on." Collette mentally replied, watching as the girl put up a second, seemingly stronger barrier. Disappointingly, the fight ended nearly immediately after the bet was finalised. The boy vanished into thin air, while the girl started chatting with the bunny girl. "What was that?" Marceline whined, confused by the sudden ending of the fight. As she was also disappointed by the lack of a proper battle, Collette replied with a sigh. "... I guess neither of us wins." After a brief moment of silence, the sound of fleeing footsteps filled the air. Collette rapidly shifted her frail body around the log, making sure that she continued to remain out of sight. She was getting sick of the thing, but managed to convince herself to keep in this disguise for the time being.
As Lucy's small army ran past, Collette noticed that they were certainly an odd bunch. One boy wore a strange assortment of yellow clothing, while another wore an open jacket, presumably to show his physique off to the entire world. Why anyone would prominently display so much skin was beyond her. Aside from those two, there appeared to be an armoured dude, a girl with a completely bizarre and seemingly random appearance, a girl who looked no older than 9, a girl who's hair colour was a dark pink and a girl who looked much plainer than everyone else. There were a few others with the group, including what looked like a small boy, but she failed to get a good look at any of them.
After the group were out of her sight, Collette stood up and scanned the lake in front of her. Unfortunately, there didn't appear to be any dead people to loot from
"You should head back to Children's City before this rain starts to get worse." He continued. Or he would have, if it weren't for Marceline finally figuring out the 'solution' to their dilemma. "We should... We should follow and join that group in this kids appearance, then attack them all while they're not expecting us to." The Mawile sounded quite proud of this plan. In fact, she figured that this was her best plan yet. It was flawless, perfect, the greatest idea ever formed, etc. Of course, she didn't exactly give a reason for attacking the group, but that only made the plan even better (in her mind).
On a normal day, Collette would've dismissed Marceline's plan. But today wasn't exactly a normal day. She didn't want to go back empty handed, and taking the food supply of the small army ahead would provide her with enough food to last a life time. So, whether it was because of the strange rain affecting her thinking, or some hidden faith in Marceline, Collette decided to go a long with it. "If this stupid plan fails you'll regret it." She threatened, accepting Marceline's plan. Utter glee spewed out of the Mawile's mouth while a surprised Proxy returned to silence.
---------------------
While following the trail of footprints left behind by her 'prey,' Collette was starting to worry about the spreading rainclouds. Why and how they were formed was beyond her, but their increasing speed helped confirm her worry. "You don't think they'll spread across the entire region, do you?" She asked to no response. Her feet stopped where the trail ended, a large hole. "The Underground... Not the safest place in the world." Proxy stated, ending his rather lengthy silence. She didn't have much experience with Sinnoh's underground, but she had heard a lot of stories about the place. About how it was filled with thieves and murderers. About how expansive and labyrinth-like it was. "Perhaps you should head back to Children's City. There's no telling what would happen to you down there." He continued, hoping that she wasn't actually going to go through with it."...Yeah. I guess you're right." Collette answered, turning her back on the hole.
When she saw that Collette was going to abandon the greatest plan known to Sinnoh, Marceline decided to take action. "You are sticking to this plan whether you want to or not." The Mawile aggressively shouted. Feeling betrayed by their lack of confidence in her plan, Marceline ensured that they'd be going through with it. All of a sudden, Collette felt her left leg go completely numb. She was unable to move it at all, but something else could. Her foot dragged the rest of her body back to the edge of the pit as she tried to regain control of it. Something like this hadn't happened in a long time. As she felt it hang over the edge, Collette gave up on the leg. "You little b-"
Her back quickly hit the rocky ground below. Having to use all of her energy just to maintain the form she was in, Collette closed her eyes and lay still for a while. Eventually, she let out a short groan of pain.
