Yep. First actual memory of Pokemon is walking into the loungeroom and seeing my sister watch TV and on it was Pokemon, and I just remember seeing Pikachu, Ash, Misty and Brock walking around. Then as I noticed my sister watching the show at the same time every morning, I joined in.

First game experience? Pokemon pinball on gameboy, I loved it. Again, it was my sisters. I think I was about 6 or 7 at the time. No idea.

It was the card game that got me to like pokemon, my favorite card was Heracross but I don't really know what set it was. A Ratatta toy I got from McDonald's also got me to like it.

I have to say I played Red version first on my classic gameboy and got hook on the whole series in general. Since then I've been looking for a place like this and found it.

My first Pokemon experience was pokemon crystal. My life revolved around that for awhile =P I wanted to keep playing crystal when Ruby & Sapphire came out.

It was the show, though I couldn't tell you what episode. My mom said that at one point I was drawing my own cards, so she went out and bought some real cards. Now here I am, with all you lovely people.

It was the anime as well. It is not the sole reason I have an account here though. Matter of fact, I don't watch anime anymore. Stopped at season 9.

I remember it like it was yesterday. My mom bought me a Gameboy and a Pokemon Blue version. I may never have gotten into Pokemon had it not been for her. She just randomly bought a game to go with the Gameboy. That was my first Pokemon experience. It took both if us to find out how to exit my house on my first playthrough.

Man that is eerily similar to my first experience. We were going on vacation to Sweden and my mom bought a gameboy color for me and my brother. She bought him blue and bought me red.

My first Pokémon experience was when the kid at the school introduced me and my sister to the TCG. From there we both watched the anime and played the games.

I think I watched the anime first then when I got a Nintendo 64 my first pokemon game was Pokemon Stadium. Then later on my first handheld was a Gameboy advance and I had Pokemon Sapphire. I liked the games since then but I don't watch the anime anymore.

Reading the previews for the games in Nintendo Power. Then my brother bought Red version, played it for awhile, and I eventually decided I needed to buy Blue version for myself.

So in a word, the games.

I first found out about Pokemon while at a summer day camp. A lot of the other campers spent their time trading Pokemon cards. I hadn't had much luck making friends up to that point, and figured that getting some Pokemon cards to trade would help, so I told my mom about it, and she bought me the Starter Set.

Ultimately, I didn't end up trading those cards (as I wanted a deck for the TCG), but I started collecting other cards I could trade. Later that summer, I saved up for Red Version and started watching the TV show. Compared with a lot of people I knew, I got into Pokemon relatively late (I think the TV show had been on since the previous fall), but I've been hooked ever since.

For all intents and purposes, it started and ended with the anime. The show probably had the most longevity to me, and when I stopped watching that was probably when I stopped focusing so intently on the franchise. Yeah, I played some side games afterword, but with mild interest.

The first 50 some episodes of Pokemon, though, will always be my favorite because without them, I probably would've wrote Pokemon off. I'm not even a fan of RPGs to be honest.

I saw a few commercials about the anime, but I wasn't that much interested. Then my cousin, who's a huuuuuge Pokemon fan, let me borrow his Gameboy. I played Pokemon Fire Red, and the rest was history.

I'm preeeeeeeety sure I saw the anime before playing the games. Don't quote me on it, because I could be talking absolute tripe, but I think I became interested in getting Pokemon Blue for Christmas because I'd seen either a whole episode or at least part of one a few months/weeks before. By the time the games came out in Europe, it was already this crazy cultural phenomenon, so I would have gotten it anyway, but I think the anime precipitated the games slightly in the UK at least.

Time: 2005~ish, early part of '06 perhaps
Place: Our old rented apartment, in the living room with the fat back TV (brought from China! We had to use wires shaped into antennae just to get a signal.)
As I was surfing through the channels I randomly glimpsed upon the first Pokemon movie. I was immediately glued and watched all of it in one sitting. I proceeded to search up anything Pokemon-related, leading to my near-addiction to it today!
