What do you use social sites for?

I use social media for communicating my thoughts. On twitter, I can just rant and ramble or talk to people for fun. On tumblr, I can just brag about the things I'm a fan of and post there, and on Facebook I can talk with family and friends.

What are your favorite social sites?
Currently Tumblr, which my account on the site has existed since early 2012 but never got many active posts until the end of that year, now it's got way more posts and keeps getting bigger, plus I love to decorate my page with loads of Oshawott stuff because I gotta represent my Poke-mascot after all. I used to use Facebook in the past, but ever since I started work my life got so busy it caused me to leave the account to collect dust. My Twitter also hasn't been tweeting a lot as it used to, but there may be a shot I might still do a tweet every now and then.

Welcome. :3 Lately I've become a bit bored of Tumblr because all the fandom groups I was in (NASCAR, The Walking Dead, etc) all died for the holidays and now I'm stuck reblogging random things from my followers. But that doesn't stop me from like...going on tumblr because I love reading random crap. :P I love the Poke-fandom on there, actually. Finding gifs and fanart shared publically seemed to be easy, and it's also easy to find the owner so we can properly credit for their work.

I've been tweeting a lot now. Not as much as I used to back in the beginning, given that I redid my account and all, but it's become a source where I can just spill something quick from my mind.

Reason for joining:Cause I'm a social network junkie and I want more people on PC following me on aforementioned. I have Facebook too, but it's more personal.

What are your favorite social sites?
Tumblr has been my obsession as of late. I'm a part of a ton of the fandoms there and also reblog anything I find amusing or interesting. Alot of Pokemon stuff and Friends things though. I like Twitter as a way to express my thoughts in a few shorts words and Instagram cause I just love taking pictures and it's a neat way to express what goes on through your day in pictures.

Well since i only am part of 2, and i have abandoned Facebook, one just leaves behind haha.
I like Twitter for being kinda anonymous since my real life friends never seemed to find me (cause i dont use my real name xD)
So i can just rant about anything i like and no one will ever know >:P

Reason for joining: Well, while I don't tweet much, I still browse Twitter every so often (usually a few times throughout the day). I really like Instagram, however. I joined because I want to be in a club with like-minded people who use social media. :]

What do you use social sites for?

Well, like I said, I don't tweet much, unless something inspires me to. So, I use Twitter to catch up on wrestling/hockey news, see what a few friends are up to, etc. Instagram, I don't post a lot of pictures, but I like how I can share my life with others through these pictures. Seeing others' pictures too is pretty cool.

I'd like to bring in a new topic if anyone doesn't mind! Also welcome aboard to those that just joined in the group. :D

Do you take pictures only to share with your social networks?

Honestly, I'm someone who likes to show off her "food porn", or taking pictures of super delicious food. I usually share them on both Tumblr and Facebook because I have friends and followers who are huge fans of food and would love to see (and drool) on them. I'm also an avid nature/weather picture taker. So any clouds, storms, and sunsets are my favorite things to take and share to my social world :3

^ I definitely read that as 'Do you take food pictures only to share with your social networks', after kinda reading through your answer first. xD

I kinda do. Looking through what I have up on Instagram, a lot of my pictures where just pictures that I had taken on my phone before, but I do see some that I must've taken with Instagram in mind. I've posted a few Christmas photos lately, I guess maybe to show off what my house/decorating/etc is like for the holidays.

Welcome guys! Already updated the first post!

Well, for me, I don't really take pictures in general coz I seem to be lazy to even take out a phone, and take a pic :P

But if I did take pics, I would post it on my social sites :33

Haha, I guess I must be the opposite then. xD Laziness doesn't really ensue me when I want to show off a new t-shirt or an exquisite meal that I was just served. It's funny though. Sometimes I'm all like "WAIT HOLD UP. LEMME INSTAGRAM THIS. *snap*"

In terms of selfies, I'm a little too paranoid as well. If my camera behaves well to me, I'll probably share...otherwise, I don't ;p

Eh, not really.. when I take pictures most of the time I don't even upload them, unless it's the occasional selfie of me.

SO MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS!

So, I think a new topic is in order?

Do you always post in social sites about your everyday tribulations and going on in the lives of you? Or are you more of a reserved type that rarely posts about your day?

Woo Boxing Day for some! Ordinary day for me. :c

No, I don't want to seem like one of those negative nellys, so I don't. I'm not as Facebook savvy or Instagram savvy as I once was. When I read those statuses it brings me dude. I try to be an optimist!

I don't really post about myself on Facebook. I'm not really much of a social guy when it comes to in real life. :P

Going back to the last topic, I only took ONE picture of Christmas. That was it. It's kinda weird because I was someone who always takes pictures of all the food. But the food was just delicious I ate it instead of instagramming it. haha.

Back then when social networking was "hot", I posted on everyone's wall, commented on everything, and posted my status every hour or so. And that was when I had a boyfriend at the time. I was in loooooove. xD Now today, I'm just a little reserved. The new generation of social networking has turned me off greatly because every status you want to comment in, or a picture, or anything out there, there's ALWAYS some sort of a debate between a family member of yours, and one of your friends, or a stranger of any kind. It's become more stupid. So, if I ever want to post something on a social network like Facebook, I think before the consenquences. This also applies to Tumblr and Twitter somewhat but they aren't as controversial as Facebook (although Twitter houses peeps that don't have as much common sense lmao).

So, yeah. Reserved type here. I just don't post because I don't want to.

Yeah, I just can't see me posting about my everyday life. It's not that interesting, and certainly not as exciting as other people's who post on Twitter, Facebook, etc. I've seen things from "Getting my car fixed" to "Going to the store", to people posting multiple tweets about what's going on at that second. I'm not sure, I just can't seem to think of me live-tweeting my life like that.

Has anyone ever flooded their social network's timeline/dashboard because of a show/thing you're obsessed with? I don't like to liveblog my life, but when there's a show like The Walking Dead or a sporting event like Football, I tend to flood them because it reaches you out to other fans out there. It's kinda annoying to my other followers that don't follow the show, though...but it tends to be a habit xD

& Knormageddon, most people starting their accounts tend to begin that way. I remember my first tweets were "Finishing my story!", "Gonna shower brb." and "Just got out of the shower." Embarassing. xD

I think my parents on Facebook still do that. ;;

^ Haha, yup. I certainly remember starting out Facebook like that. They'd always give you the word "is" to start your statuses.

"Knormageddon is doing homework lol"
"Knormageddon is annoyed :@"
"Knormageddon is watching the hockey game! Go Penguins!"

To celebrate, here is a new topic to ponder about!

Are you conscious when posting personal stuff on the Internet aka pics, vids, statuses, etc?

I think I'm a little self-conscious about my real name. The only place where you can find my real name is Facebook, which is why I only hand it out to those I know personally. I think Facebook has become a hub where I can store super-duper personal things whereas I can share with very close friends as well as family. If I want to share something silly like a video or a picture I found on the internet, or I took from my phone, I'll post it on twitter and/or tumblr, where I don't want my irl friends or family to see xD
