It was the world of Assassin's Creed 2 which really did convert me into a huge fan of the series. The music, the detail in the architecture, even the people in the world really made me feel like I was roaming around Renaissance Italy.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger had, imo, the best level design I've ever seen. The setting was awesome, the stages weren't linear and the platforming parts were even more fun than in most Mario games.

I never thought I could really find a world as vibrant as the one in Chrono Cross (Geez, I talk about this game A LOT!).
The El Nido Archipelago is one of the most beautiful places I've seen regardless the world (Even though I would prefer the Another World). The environment is amazing even though the main beauty of the landscape is on the World Map. :D

I really loved the world map for Tales of Vesperia ( or many of the Tales games have awesome maps!! ). I'd also have to say Mother 2 had a unique map for the modern world we live in ( or rather in the 90s! )
