@Chris: There's a cave with lava in it? I beat the beta and I don't remember one. How exactly do you get there?

Ok guys. So I went to work to find out what the legendary was. My first task was to find the gameshark code to allow filled Pokedex. Upon filling the Pokedex I checked every name to make sure he wasn't hiding any in the middle. So I saw that the legendaries were the following (though there seems to be 1 or 2 he is hiding because I couldn't get them):
Spoiler:

The more I thought about it the more I realized that the only ones who would really be out in the "wild" instead of a specific place would be Ho-oh, Heatran, and Rayquaza. Now we can't go up that high yet, so that leaves Heatran. And then it hit me. The only place with lava was the cave beneath Rinji's Forest. My guess (just a guess) is that heatran is there.

Anyways, don't take my word for it. I'm sure it is possible that Ho-oh or Lugia could be sitting in that patch of grass north of Oxalis City. Just try out different things. This is just my theory.

This may sound crazy, but do you think a fishing rod would work? Can we even get a fishing rod in the beta?

The Pokemon you're finding by gameshark mean absolutely nothing. I still haven't decided what Pokemon I'm going to include for most of spots that don't appear in the beta. And I'd appreciate it if you all found it the proper way. It IS possible to find it, but just really really hard.

Months may go by before anyone finds it, but that's how legendaries should be hid.

And like I said, IT'S SOMETHING YOU WON'T EXPECT

Hmm. I am thinking about what Coolboyman said earlier. "It is one you won't expect." I am thinking that it is not Ho-oh or Lugia, because those two were actually in Gold, so he would make you think that it is one of those two, but it isn't. So it is either a Hoenn or Sinnoh pokemon, but you never know. He might more have tricks up his sleeve. So he could have added an Isshu pokemon. It is a long shot, but it is possible. I have a goal. I am going to try to find it before I go back to school this month.

I just thought of something. How will trading be handled with Brown. Some of the Pokemon that appear in Prism I can identify who they replace based on their cry. The Pokemon that appear in Brown, but not in Prism will get ****ed up through trading. How will you handle this?

Hey, I forgot what the badges give in terms of HM moves. I know we can;t get the HM's, but what do the badges allow us to use again?

It will prevent trading if that Pokemon doesn't exist in Prism or visa versa.

I got it! Where would you never think to look for a Legendary? At the very beginning! Maybe it's at one of the early routes! Or maybe it's in an area that you wouldn't think to go to more than once, like the graveyard.

Or maybe it's in the dream world. If it is, bye bye legendary. I'm not EVER going back there. That place gave me chills down my spine the entire time I was there, if I were young, it'd be definite nightmare fuel. lol

Ok. I'm going crazy ARG on this now.

Using logic here is my hypothesis.

We are now assuming that all Legendaries are open game. First off, I doubt it is the "Ruler" Legendaries (E.G., Mewtwo, Rayquaza, Arceus Etc,) And I also doubt it is one of the "Mewish" Pokemon (E.G., Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Manaphy, etc,) And I even highly doubt that it is Gen 5 Legendary, because he expects us to expect that. So this leaves the Miscelany legendary and the trios. Now it could be one of the Pokemon that belongs to a trio because this would be unexpected if there was just a single one. For example, Articuno could easily be at Caper due to the snow. I doubt it though. My guess is also that it is not Suicune or Entei because they are "Famous Single Members". Also keep in mind a Legendary makes an APPEARANCE. It can not neccesarily be caught. Let's think about this even further. Some Pokemon are considered legendary due to the fact that they are literally Legendary (E.G, Arcanine). Now I doubt to a degree that Coolboyman would tease us like that. I think it is a Legendary but again, something that we will not expect.

IDEA 1: Further thought leads me to believe that this will involve mining. Think about it. It is completely random. Therefore doing this process will make us completely surprised so it will be "Unexpected". Let's think of Pokemon that could be found by Mining: Regirock seems likely. Perhaps Heatran, but I doubt it after Coolboyman's rebuttal.

IDEA 2: Random event. As we all know Coolboyman seems to like Skill-Based RPGs. Runescape is well known for their "Random Events". What happens is that you are training a specific skill or just doing nothing and then somebody grabs you out of the blue on random to take you to a special and secret event. The Pokemon that would be most suitable for this would be Jirachi and Celebi, but due to their obvious nature as Legendaries I doubt it.

IDEA 3: What I believe to be one of the most likely (though I don't like it) is simply walking in grass, perhaps in a specific area. This could really be any legendary that Coolboyman feels like. I just don't know on this one. Maybe just sitting in a specific area and using an item could trigger it too (E.G., Using Sweet Scent near flowers makes Shaymin appear. Just an example).

IDEA 4: As the above poster said, I could definetely see it as the dream world. Think about it. Cresellia, Darkrai. But that's not likely considering again: We would be expecting it.

Anyways, I'm counting on you guys to help the search. Just try anything and everything.

UPDATE: 8/10/10
- Fixed Casino Prizes
- Fixe Dawn Stone's Description and usage. You still can't evolve Kirlia yet because I'm not sure how I would program that. I'll figure out a solution eventually, but for the meantime keep a hold of your male Kirlia.
- Added wild Marills to Route 72 & 73. Also made it learn bubble at level 3.
- Turned down encounter rates in Acqua Mines and Mound Cave
- Man in Heath Village now gives you the correct TM.
- Added Growlithes to Route 73
- Made Snorunts less rare.
- Added Sneasel in Mound Cave
- New Movesets for Zubat, Golbat, Crobat, Gligar, Gliscor, Flareon, Natu, Xatu, Rilou, Lucario, Breloom and Sneasel.
- Boulder is now in Magma Caverns like it should be.
- Made Torkoal and the Gastly Family part gas type.
- Made the Jigglypuff Family part sound type.
- A few more typos

Back for now.

I have a small theory. Coolboyman implemented the timer to keep track of days/months/years for a reason. Perhaps this Pokemon can only be found on a specific date, in a specific place. If you think about it, it would make sense. I think it would appear in a cave if so.

Also, read Coolboyman's post:
Months may go by before anyone finds it, but that's how legendaries should be hid.

Notice the word "months" he used. He may have been just referring to months, as in an amount of time, but he also could have been referring to months as in amount of time in the game.

I really think that having the event depend on a specific date would cause it to be much harder to find. Just a small theory I have. I'm very interested in finding this....

I just finished the beta recently and I must say I love how you incorporated elements from other games, CBM. I love the pachisi minigame and all the tunes from the dragon quest/warrior series. You have my support and I will definitely play the final version or any other ROM hacks you do.
