Rebirth of Team Rocket

Draco grimaced as he slipped through the hallways, his coat fluttering about. He had been moments away from a breakthrough, but Giovanni never tolerated absences from his little mission assignments. As he turned over the day in his mind he recalled a small memo sent to him earlier. Giovanni had finally approved the assistant he had been asking for.
He walked into the enormous mission assignment room and found a seat in the elite section. He sat quietly in the back as more and more members filed in, his mind on his research.

OOC: Hmm, it looks like it's all up to me to stop you... Um, yikes?

IC: The battle had gone well. Wesley and the Mahogany Gym Leader, Pryce, had fought in a two-vs-two battle, Pryce's Dewgong and Piloswine against Wesley's Charizard and Jolteon. Wesley's Pokemon worked quite well together; Jolteon hitting Dewgong with Thunderbolt while leaving Charizard to fight the electricity-proof Piloswine with his Flamethrower. Pryce was defeated soundly for Wesley's seventh Johto badge.

"Congratulations on winning, son. I award you this Glacier Badge." Pryce handed the badge to Wesley, who grinned triumphantly.

"Before you go," the old man said, "I have some advice for you. Determination to win is not wrong at all, but sometimes even the best lose battles. If you always take losses so hard, you will not succeed as a trainer."

Wesley continued to think about what Pryce had said as he hiked northward to check out the Lake of Rage. He remembered the stir caused there by Team Rocket during their brief revival two years ago, a revival which failed to go very far after Giovanni never returned.

Arriving at the vast lake, Wesley began fishing. He knew the Gyarados were long gone after the scare two years ago, but he was hoping to find something good. Alas, all he could catch were a few Magikarp, which were promptly thrown back.

Wesley looked out over the lake. Something seemed to be coming toward him, running along the water's surface. As it came nearer, he saw that it was a strange, oddly beautiful Pokemon. It ran gracefully on four legs, and its body was blue and white with a violet cloud billowing from its back. Wesley had no idea what this thing was, but he was going to try to capture it.

"Jolteon, go!" Wesley threw down Jolteon's Poke Ball.
Jolteon appeared, ready for battle.
"Jolteon, hit it with a Thunderbolt attack"
"Jolt!" Jolteon's fur crackled with energy, and she unleashed a high-voltage electrical shock. The Pokemon was hurt, but not as much as Wesley had expected.
"CUUUUUUUUUUUUNE!" The Pokemon suddenly let out a Roar, sending a surprised Jolteon back into her Poke Ball. Before Wesley could do anything else, the Pokemon bolted off with incredible speed, knocking Wesley to the ground. He looked around, but there was no sign of whatever it was.

Name: Zach
Age: 18

Job: Regular Member

Appearance: Zach has Dark brown eyes, usually covered by his thick black hair. He has a streak of Blonde running down his Hair. Zach is very muscular. He wears a tore up, black hat with the letter "R" poorly sewn on it. He wears the Regular Team Rocket Uniform, but tries to punk it up a bit. He tore off most of the sleeves and ripped the bottom of his pants. His hair is usually down, covering his face. That's why no one really knows him. He is about 5'8, and 170 pounds.

Personality: At first sight he looks like a mean and intimidated character. He really can be very mean and intimidating. Although on the inside he can be very helpful. He one day thirsts for that Admin position he long desires. He dreams of the money and power. He, on the contrary, has a soft side to his fellow agents. He is sometimes found talking to other woman agents and showing off to other people in Team Rocket.

Background: He was very poor growing up. Living in a run down city, just north of Mt. Moon. He eventually became fed up with his life ad ran away from his poor, rundown village. He ran away to the nearby Pewter City. He started his pokemon Journey from there. After traveling across Kanto, He eventually made it to the Indigo Plateau. He challenged the Pokemon League, but lost miserably. He was confronted by a Team Rocket Admin soon after leaving for Johto. He threatened Zach, in order to join. He got scared, and eventually caved in. As soon as he entered headquarters, he was highly welcomed by his burly appearance. He eventually warmed up to Team Rocket and started working there without any doubts.

Name: Omystar
NickName: Shell
Gender: Male
Personality: He is very Intimidating. He dos stuff just to be mean. He loves showing off its power
Obtained: Zach found his first pokemon, an Omynyte who escaped the Fossil Reaserch Center. He rushed it to the pokemon center. After healing the Omynyte, Nurse Joy suggeseted he started on a pokemon journey, since he was old enough. Zach ultimately accepted, he got his first pokeball from Nurse Joy and caught it.

Name: Umbreon
Nickname: Luna
Gender: Female
Personality: Very Rough and Mysterious. She loves to be sneaky and surprises her opponents from behind.
Obtained: He cared for an Eevee found in a Box outside Team Rocket's Base. That Eevee warmed up to Zach so much, he evolved at the dead of night to an Umbreon.

Name: Drifblim
Nickname: Float
Gender: Male
Personality: It is very lazy. It doesn't like battling often. Although it is very strong and one of the power houses on Zach's team.
Obtained: He was in great danger at one time, leading him to an edge of a cliff. He slipped and fell until a Random passing Drifloon saved his life. He was really thankful and kept this pokemon.

IC:

Rayne and the other rockets made their way to the meeting room. He said nothing, but calmly walked into the big room. He saw many other rockets: elites, grunts, and other admins like himself. Rayne spotted his brother, Hugo there as well. They made eye contact, and Hugo gave him a confident smirk. Rayne returned the look by narrowing his eyes a little, and giving him a smirk of his own. He went and leaned against the wall, folding his arms. "I wonder what our assignments will be? " he thought. His mind flashed with a variety of assignments. "I hope it's something exciting..we've been working underground for years now. It'll be good to get some actual work done..Howler, Nightmare, and Fang have been itching to have a little fun, and so have I.." He fiddled around with his chain fondly as he thought of his pokemon. The three pokeballs that were attached to it shined despite the dim lighting in the room.

On the balcony above the room, a dark figure appeared, looking down at them all. Beside the figure, a fierce-looking Persian sat arrogantly. "Well, well, well..are my rockets ready for their assignments?" said the deep, stern voice of Giovanni. "The time has come for our glorious return.."

When Giovonni made the annoucement to come to the Meeting Room, Blayze and some other Elites were already there; not far from the Boss's side as per usual.
She and the others stood at the head of the room watching as the other members filed into the room. Blayze crossed her arms over her chest, and watched them with detached interest.
Her eyes narrowed slightly as she saw the ones that Boss told her to acompany on a particularly important mission. The red hair woman was sizing them up, were they worth her time? Would they help or hinder her on the mission?
Turning to a fellow Elite, Blayze nodded towards the group of Grunts and Admins. "I think most everyone's here."
The man nodded his agreement. Confident that everyone that was coming was here, Blayze stepped forward and faced the crowd.
"Rockets,.... Attention!" , she barked in a rather militaristic manner.
It would not do at all to have everyone chatting when The Boss arrived.


OOC: Uhh just pretend that my post happed before yours, Chaos?

Mik bit her lip, trying not to shout out in joy. Team Rocket coming out of hiding... it was almost too good to be true. She had recently been assigned to work as assistant to a powerful and influential scientist, and she hoped that they would be working on legendaries.

She glanced around the room, taking in the excitement of the other Rocket members. She couldn't have cared less about taking over the world and the other evil intents of Team Rocket, and was only interested in helping create the ultimate pokemon. As Giovanni continued talking, Mik snapped out of her daydream and listened intently.

Seems pretty interesting. Is there any rules against legendaries? Because I would like Suicune eventually. >.>

Name: Alex Rodriguez
Nickname: Scarface (due to the large scar on his face obviously)
Age: 19
Hometown/Region: Celedon City, Kanto.
Gender: Male

Appearence:

He stands at 5'9" and is actually quite skinny. You can guess the Pokeballs are along the belt, but of course; MapleStory doesn't have PokeBalls.

Personality: While Alex is the type that rushes when he knows what he thinks is enough about a situation, he's actually a decent stragegist and can exploit the weaknesses of a variety of enemies. Outside of battle, he's pretty calm and tolerant of others. Regardless of his history, he still somehow keeps up this personality and doesn't end up as the cold heartless being Team Rocket is like.

Pokemon:
Balrog [Male Houndoom]
Personality: Always trying to intimidate his opponents, this Houndoom spends more time trying to show off his superiority over other pokemon than battling, and he's pretty short-tempered and cruel, a trait of his Dark/Fire type set-up.
Obtained: Found as an egg in a Celedon Pokemon Adoption Center. Evolved on Alex's 19th birthday.

Psyshine [Male Espeon]
Personality: Calm and quite timid, Psyshine rather analyzes the situation and acts in the back row rather than fighting head-on, giving information about the opponent when needed. Still, when cornered, Psyshine is the type who won't refuse to fight with full force.
Obtained: Given as an Eevee to Alex when he was 15. Evolved when Alex was age 18.

Estrani [Female Flygon]
Personality: Has a mix of Balrog and Psyshine's personalities. Calm, yet always wanting to show off her power. Still, she won't back down from a challenge, and will even release herself from the pokeball with a high-powered attack when Alex is in a big enough threat. Always likes to be in the front rows, and will try to analyze the enemy's weakness if she knows the opponent is too strong for her own good.
Obtained: A trainer gave Estrani as a Vibrava to Alex at age 16. Evolved recently on Alex's 19th birthday.

History: Alex lived in Celedon City's more dangerious section of town, where crime was often at night. He received his Eevee at 15, and trained it occasionally. Crime was often, and at the age of 17, his parents were murdered after he recently got Estrani and Balrog. To make a living, he became a pokemon trainer and ended up getting money from trainer battles and gambling battles. Now recently, he took up the gym challenge and expects to get something done with his life now that he has a powerful, fully evolved team.

Draco listened impassively as Giovanni handed out assignments to the grunts. Guard this, capture that. It became rather tedious after a while as the ranks of Rockets slowly thinned. With a snap of his wrist, Draco palmed one of his Pokeballs and twirled it thoughtfully in his hand. He was close to a breakthrough on Mewtwo's DNA, the fragmented computers and some scarce genetic samples had left him a framework to work with, but he knew he had to improve on the design. One rogue Pokemon of Mewtwo's status was one too many. In fact Giovanni had recently been considering sending a team to recapture or neutralize the original, they waited only for Draco to supply them with a Pokemon capable of subduing Mewtwo.

Draco snapped to attention as he noticed Giovanni finally telling some Elites their missions,
"..o update the Team Rocket storage system." Draco rolled his eyes as the two techs scurried away. Giovanni's attention shifted to the Admins and Draco drifted back into his thoughts.

Once all of the Rocket Members, Grunts to Elites were in the main building for meetings, a small, devious smile escaped Erhon's face. It did not seem like it from the outside with his usually serious expression, but he was excited, that soon Team Rocket will come out of hiding, after treacherous years of a peaceful region. The room was entirely packed; Grunts standing firmly, Admins and Elites standing in their own directed meeting positions. There was no discussion at all between anyone, but just a glance or two between Rocket members. Soon, after a minute or so of delay, a dark, tall figure stepped onto a balcony. Next to the figure; Was the Pokemon Persian. This devious cat like Pokemon was being stroked, by the figure. The figure atop the balcony was none other than Boss Giovanni. He spoke in a deep voice; "Time four our glorious rein to return..". Erhon stood firmly, no butterflies in his stomach from nervous-ness. Erhon stood still, looking forward to Leader Giovanni's Mission plans. For a small moment, the Grunt thought in his head; "Will this be a slow return, or an automatic take out?"

"You!"

The angry shout came from behind Wesley, who turned to face whoever it was. Two men emerged from behind some pine trees, dressed all in black uniforms with a large red "R" on their chests.

"We lured Suicune here to get it for the Boss! You messed up our plans!"

"Who are you and why are you wearing Team Rocket uniforms?" asked Wesley.

The men didn't seem interested in talking.
"Get him, Gengar!"
"Seviper, attack!"
The two Pokemon emerged, ready to strike. Wesley chose two of his own Pokemon to fight them.
"Charizard, Jolteon, show them who's in charge!"
Charizard and Jolteon appeared to fight the two Grunts.

"Jolteon, use Attract on that Gengar. Charizard, hit Seviper with a Flamethrower attack."

"Gengar, hit them both with Mean Look! This kid's not getting away!"

"Seviper, Poison Fang attack on the closest one!"

The four Pokemon launched their attacks. Jolteon struck a cute pose and kept Gengar from doing anything, while Charizard's Flamethrower burned Seviper badly. The Poison Fang attack hit Charizard, but luckily, Charizard wasn't poisoned.

The next few rounds went well. Charizard knocked out Seviper with an Aerial Ace strike, and Gengar, both infatuated and paralyzed, was no match for both Jolteon and Charizard. The men ran off into the trees, and Wesley was left with a mystery. Who were these men? Team Rocket was supposed to have been gone for good, but these people had clearly mentioned a "Boss" and were wearing the right uniforms. Wesley headed back to Mahogany Town to heal his Pokemon and report what had happened to the police.

Meanwhile, the two Grunts, back at their secret base, decided to contact the headquarters with the news of the young trainer who had foiled their plans for capturing Suicune and subsequently beaten them miserably...

OOC: When can people start capturing more Pokemon?

Mik continued listening closely to Giovanni while trying desperately to remember the name of the scientist she would be working under. It had been an odd name... she knew that much. Definitely not the kind of name a parent would give their child... not a parent in their right mind anyway. Dragon? Drake? Draco? Yeah, that sounded right. Draco... Mik resisted the urge to grin. A funny name, to be sure, but it wasn't her place to say so to her superior.

OOC: AngelicExcalibur, you are accepted. And also, NOBODY is allowed to capture legendaries as a part of their team.

@ Jaime006: All non-team rocket members can catch one new pokemon, but it can't be a super-powerful one.

IC:

"The time has now come for the return of Team Rocket. Five years has been a long wait, has it not? Well now we shall wait no longer. Team Rocket will be a force to be reckoned with. We shall show the region of Kanto that their moment of peace has been for nothing," said Giovanni ruthlessly. His deep, commanding voice echoed within the spatious room. Persian meowed at his feet. "We will destroy all who oppose us, whoever they are, whereever they are. This includes teams Magma and Aqua in Hoenn. They too shall realize there is only room for one team in the world, and that is ours."

Rayne looked up at the dark silhouette of Giovanni intently, his steely blue eyes focused hard. "Finally, it's time! The boss is finally ready to begin our plans," thought Rayne. "I can't wait to go on another mission.."

"Each of you will be receiving mission assignments, and some of you will be receiving partners as well. My elites will deliver each of you a letter stating your mission along with other details, and you will also teceive your Team Rocket ID cards. Once you receive your letters, you will have the rest of the day to prepare. Missions start tomorrow," boomed Giovanni. As he spoke, elites began walking amongst the crowd, handing out letters and IDs. Giovanni himself left the room and walked back into his office.

"Rayne!" said a loud voice. Rayne immediately recognized the voice as Hugo's and turned to look at him. Hugo handed him a rather thick envelope, smirking. "Looks like you'll have an important assignment. Don't blow it."

"Whatever Hugo," said Rayne calmly, snatching away the envelope. He opened it and looked into it. There was an assortment of papers along with a plastic ID card. He took it out and looked at it. On it was his mugshot, along with his ID number. He stuffed it down into his pocket and took out the paper labeled "Mission Instructions". As he read his paper, the other rockets delivered their envelopes. The others began to read their instructions as well.

*OOC: I will post everyone's mission descriptions tomorrow in a separate post. I'm running on a time schedule right now, so I won't be able to post all the mission assignments right now..

Zach waits at his table patiently. He hated waiting, he wanted his assignment now. He wanted to redeem his power and respect after failing missions in the past and ended up getting on Giovanni's last nerve. He nervously peaked at a passing grunts envelope. The expression on his face didn't look good. Zach was hoping for an assignment that would bring honor back to him and make Giovanni to promote him to a higher position.

"Giovanni is sure taking a while to give out assignments," said Zach to a passing grunt

"Duh," replied the Grunt, "By the looks of things, these are pretty important assignments."

Zach sat cautiously, waiting for his assignment. Giovanni slammed his table, and gave him a yellow folder. He twitched a bit as he opened it up...

OOC: Here are the mission assignments:

Rayne/Erhon/Zach/Blayze~

Mission Description: To capture as many rare pokemon as possible for Team Rocket, gather valuable pokemon fossils, and retreive important information on Sliph Co.'s newest pokemon inventions and technology secrets. You will also be travelling to the Jhoto and Hoenn regions as pokemon hunters and spies to work underground. Team Rocket admin Rayne and Team Rocket grunts Erhon and Zach along with Elite Blayze will be partnered on this mission.

Mission Instructions: Obtain more rare pokemon by: catching wild ones or stealing ones from trainers. Be sure to travel to the Safari Zones in each of the regions to steal pokemon from there as well. Take any rare pokemon you come across. Send each pokemon you catch back to the base within the particular region you are working in. You will also be working as spies in the Kanto, Jhoto, and Hoenn Regions. Take technology or pokemon research secrets from Sliph Co. and Devon Co. as well as find out more about the plans of Team Aqua and Team Magma. To steal Team Magma and Aqua's secrets, you will act as spies and do undercover work. Remember not to be too conspicuous with your work.

Draco/Mik~

Mission Description: To infiltrate Team Aqua and Team Magma's forces in the Hoenn region and do undercover scientific research on pokemon DNA configuration. Steal as many secrets as possible. You will also be collecting DNA samples from as many pokemon as possible, which will be provided for you by the agents who are collecting more pokemon for the team as well as gathering DNA from any new pokemon you come across. Your main goals will be to study pokemon DNA replication and cloning and DNA combination and merging.

Mission Instructions: Travel to the Hoenn region to do secret work from inside of Team Aqua and Team Magma's forces. You will act as undercover scientists working for each team. With each pokemon DNA sample you obtain, send it to the rocket base you are stationed in for storage. We will give you instructions on where to go and what to do next at each location we send you. Head to the secret rocket base in the Hoenn region when you are ready to begin your mission. Remember not to be too conspicuous with your work.

IC:

Rayne read all the instructions on the paper, and saw two pictures of the three partners he was going to be working with. One picture was labeled "Grunt Erhon", one was labeled "Grunt Zach", and the last one was labeled "Elite Blayze". "So I'm going to be working with these three," said Rayne to himself. He looked among the vast crowd of rockets in the room. "This will be a good chance to work with an Elite. I've never met either of them before, though. I should go find them.." He began to walk amongst the rocckets, looking for his partners.

Draco slowly tore open the yellow packet with his name on it. His eyes glazed slightly as he read the mission specs. 'Aqua and Magma,' he thought, 'They were the ones that caused the weather problems with their research on continent expansion and contraction. Hoenn also has many Pokemon species non-native to Kanto, this could be the break I need.'
As Draco made his way back to his lab to prepare he realized his new assistant would be joining him for the mission.
'Not the best time to get to know someone.' he thought as he sat back at his computer terminal to plan out what he would need for his extended mission.

Zach smiled as he opened his folder and read out his mission.

"Gosh, This will be fun," thought Zach.

Zach draws out his Omystar and talks to him privately.

"Looks like we'll be fulfilling our dreams after all," said Zach.

Omystar grinned and was ready to take on anything. Zach then looked again on the mission.

"Looks like I'm paired with Rayne and Erhon," said Zach, "I've never heard about them before."

As Zach wondered about his mission, he stopped and started looking for his partners.

Mik grabbed her envelope, carefully reading the instructions held within the thick, off-white paper. She shoved the ID carelessly into her pocket and smiled tightly to herself. Team Aqua and Magma had probably done a bit of research on the two Hoenn legendaries, Kyougre and Groudon, and there was doubtless some DNA being kept in their labs. The mission looked like it would be interesting, if nothing else.

She walked quickly out of the meeting room, consulted notes on her clipboard and began making her way to Draco's lab. Kanna followed a breath behind Mik, eyes bright with excitement. The two of them didn't get out much, especially not on secret missions. Kanna especially hoped that they'd be doing more battling, though it was highly unlikely. It took Mik only a few minutes to find Draco's lab. She paused for a minute, straightening her lab coat, before pushing open the door and stepping in.

Draco looked up from his console as his new assistant strode into the room, clearly nervous by her stride. He raised his eyebrows slightly as he realized she had a good six inches on him, possibly more. A mightyenna followed at her heels. Draco shuffled his papers and rose, maintaining eye contact with the girl.

"You," he whispered, a memory tickling the back of his mind,"You are my new assistant." he shook his head slightly. "You are no doubt aware we have been assigned an important and dangerous mission, as a fellow geneticist you realize the importance or our mission. If the MewThree project is to be a success we need the data Magma and Aqua have."

Draco took a small breath, "But before we go, we need to prepare, I will require a test of your Pokemon's battle efficiency. If they are not up to task we might be killed when we make our inevitable escape." He turned his back as he began to go through some files at the back of the room, "We have recently hatched several genetically enhanced Pokemon if you would like to replace your current set." He said as he handed her a handful of files," Some of them came from as far away as Orre and Sinnoh."

"Heh, quite a sight, isn't it Estrani?" A trainer asked some sort of green-dragon flying overhead Pallet Town. Having recently conquered the Celedon City Gym, this trainer decided to take a short break. He was Alex Rodriguez, one of more newbie trainers, however had a somewhat special gift in the fact his battling skills just seemed to be superb. Still, it didn't matter much.

"Fly, fly!" His pokemon responded, even though there wasn't much to understand. Even with the advanced technology of the pokemon world, there isn't anything that can be done to interpret the speech various pokemon use. Still, trainers just try to interpret them through the emotions and such you could notice in the simple phrase. Quickly, the Flygon began to dive-bomb into a small forest, with Alex still on it. It often enjoyed being one of the few Hoenn specialities that're in Kanto, and out of sight.

"Hey, how about we go knock up The Pewter City Gym quickly? Isn't that supposed to be the weakest gym in Kanto? If we beat Celedon City Gym, Pewter City Gym can't be much harder."

"Gon!"

Alex began to hold on a bit tighter, as Flygon began to speed up. A lot. The occasional Spearow and Pidgey flew out of the way, not wanting to accidently be the victim of the rare dragon's flight. It would be pretty hard for Flygon to stop without generating some sort of wind gust, and that'd still take a while in the forest. One wrong move, and bam, the dragon and it's trainer hits a tree. Still, it continued onward, proceeding above the forest.

Erhon opened up his envelope handed to him by the Rocket Member Superiors. He opened it, and looked at the other Rocket Members he will be working with; With no distain at all. Though, he may not know these three, nor done any spying on them; Erhon feels confident. He walks up to the possible group leader, Rayne, knowing what he looks like, due to the picture given in the envelope. With his light brown eyes, takes a small look at the Rocket Admin, nearing him now.

"So, you will be the group leader? I will ask no questions; Being you an Admin. So, for a mission, may I suggest something? If your answer is yes; Here is my mission suggestion.

Obviously, being our first mission to steal Pokemon and Fossils, why not start with Fossils? I am pretty sure the Pewter City Museum has little security, or none at all, being Team Rocket temporarily out of business. That would be a good, small start."

Said the grunt in a voice, that was not high pitched or deep; A little light maybe due to his young age. Erhon awaits for the answer from Rayne. His glasses deactivate, into a small, mechanical, ring like device; which latches to his ear.
