My favorite was Porygon2. I always liked how it looked sort of like a duck. It reminds me of those drinking birds that dip their heads in water and pop back up. It was also the first Pokemon papercraft I ever made. I ran out of cardstock, so I made it out of regular printer paper. It was pretty flimsy, but it jumpstarted a whole summer of making papercrafts. :) Thank you Porygon2!
Other favorites from gen 2 are Ho-oh, Lugia and Espeon.

I like Espeon, I think he not only looks cool but is strong and badass in general.

This is a tough one for me as so many Gen 2 Pokemon are amazing, but I am gonna go with Yanma as it is just simply adorable and it is dual typed with two of my favorite types. It is a great battler and I always found myself using one on my team.

Let's see...

I really like Totodile because I used it as my starter in Gold. The rest of its evolution line is fine as well, though I don't like Croconaw and Feraligatr quite as much because I never cared for their sprites when I first played GSC.

Although I didn't use it as my starter initially, I also grew attached to Typhlosion when I used it in Silver. In particular, I liked how I could buy the elemental punch TMs in GSC and teach my Typhlosion Thunderpunch so it could take out those pesky water types it was weak to.

A third Pokémon I loved in GSC was Quagsire. I picked up a Wooper when playing through Gold for the first time (somewhat coincidentally--I didn't start catching everything until after I beat the main part of the game, so I think it was one of only a few Pokémon I had caught up to that point), and I soon found myself with a Quagsire on my team. While Quagsire was somewhat useful in-game, its most appealing attribute was its ability to stop my friend's Ampharos (which I think only had electric attacks) when we battled. Furthermore, Quagsire's vacant expression is adorable!

My three favourite GSC Pokemon are Feraligatr, Tyranitar, and Houndoom. Feraligatr for reasons I've already explained, Tyranitar for being a badass in general, and Houndoom for being fun to use in ROM hacks.

Same here :) adding to them Meganium & Thyplosion ofc...
Also Azumarill is a personal fave, I like his design a lot & he learns Rollout which is one of my favorite moves...

Exactly, I was about 11 when i had the idea that Larvitar just HAD to evolve into something cool. Mind you this was before i had access to the internet, And even if i did i probably wouldn't of been looking up Pokemon. ;)
But when my Pupitar started to evolve.. & then i seen this;

I fell in love instantly. And till this day. IMO. Tyranitar is still one of the coolest looking Pokemon.

Wow I've never actually seen someone admit it like that :P
Anyway I believe the only internet there was back then when G/S/C came out was dial-up iirc, so you were maybe using your neighbours' telephone line {XD}

Lugia is my all-time favorite Pokemon, because it's the first legendary I ever caught and it looks so graceful. Also its signature move Aeroblast sounds awesome, is awesome, and has one of the best animations in GSC.
