6th Gen Which new pokemon did you hate the most?

Diggersby is probably the ugliest Pokemon I've ever seen, and I don't say that lightly. There's something about the colour scheme and massive arm-ears that I inherently dislike. I'd say that one's probably my least favourite, just due to the reasons I listed. From the looks of things, I'm not in a minority here.

Other honourable mentions are Avalugg. I'm just disappointed in it. Its pre-evolution was cute, and then it turned into a cracked table that stands there and looks incredibly smug about it. I also think the fairy type could do with better designs. I don't inherently disagree with the choice to add a new type into the mix, and I don't even mind them remixing old Pokemon with the typing, even though I'm having a tough time getting accustomed to it. What I do mind is that it's all the same girly stuff. These guys negate dragons but they don't look like they do. Also have to say that Pyroar could have been so much cooler, especially with that name.

Oh, and I've been done with electric rodents since generation I, thanks, Pokemon.

Well, that's about it for me. I was fine with most of the Pokemon in this generation on some level or another, and anything else would be nit-picking.

Diggersby tho? Diggersby tho? That thing kick serious butt! Haha all jokes aside, there were many poor designs in 6th gen in my opinion. Some of them include Klefiki, Aromatisse, Barbanacle and Avalugg just to name a few. Luckily, there were also some really, really cool new Pokemon to counter these.

The Fairies... (ALL of them except Xerneas) And Barbaracle, which is, like, the ugliest Pokémon ever and people only use him because of his stats.

I said before in another thread that the best 6th gen Pokémon were those we knew in advance from CoroCoro leaks. The ones we knew because of the leakers who got the game before release date all suck (except Avalugg, I love Avalugg).

It is pretty frustrating to know that some of the dumbest-looking creatures (S;urpuff, Aromatisse, Carboink, Klefki) are absolutely immune to the likes of Salamance, Hydreigon, Palkia, Dialga, Reshiram, and Zekrom.

But even more so is the fact that their designs are just overwhelmingly typically girly-girl. To the point where it's frankly insulting to actual little girls. Fluffy and vapid.

They could have afforded to tone things down a notch or ten.


I'm also not the biggest fan of Pyroar. I think they skimped out on that one. Missed opportunity for something truly great. Lions are the king of beasts, after all- and are absolutely steeped in rich mythology and symbolism.

I actually thought the same thing about Fairy-type yesterday when I was playing Y-version again and I think that the main problem is that they combined Fairy-type with pink colour. Seriously, if you think about carefully almost every single Fairy-type Pokémon has pink combined to them someway. There are only a few like Azumarill evolutionary line that doesn't have it and they look sweet. And when you think for example Aromatisse in it's original colouring it's like pink overload that really hurts to look at. Many of those Fairy-type Pokémon look so much better in their shiny sprite. :P

And about Pyroar - I don't hate it but I know what you mean. Littleo is cute and stuff but somehow I feel they screwed the evolutionary line pretty badly. The main on Pyroar is cool but the design lacks something and I wish there were a third evolution between Littleo and Pyroar so it wouldn't remind so much of Electrike - Manectrike but more of would resemble Shinx - Luxray line.

Overall I don't think there's a single Pokémon I'd hate but there are a few I really dislike for example Aromatisse, Slurpuff, Carbink and Barbaracle (they could have left it out, it's just horrific but not hateable - basicly no one would notice if it would randomly disappeared from the games). :D

I really dislike Honedge it's design is just lazy..an sword with a eye.

I normally like eeveelution but i dont like sylveon too pink and sparkly. I hope they introduce a existing type eeveelution like steel or flying :D

also i dont like the the flower fairy thing cant remember the name..

I didn't really like Amaura or it's evolution. It just looks dumb and fat and it's so easy to knock out with a x4 SE physical move. Quite disappointed, really.

Aromatisse. I'm still a little disappointed that Spritzee didn't evolve into a plague doctor-esque thing.
That and Binacle. I just can't get myself to like its design.

I don't feel the same, I tend to have more pokemon I strongly love and want to use in the odd numbered gens with larger rosters. Granted I'd say Kalos is my favourite even gen for pokemon designs.

I don't really hate any Kalos pokemon but I'm not fond of Litleo at all, something about the way it looks (probably its eyes) and how it feels kinda like a Shinx V2 turns me off him. Pyroar on the other hand I like a lot more.

I also think Litleo would be cuter if it weren't for it's large eyes...
Most of the Pokemon are okay, but design wise most aren't standing out for me...except for the legends it seems...think it may be due to the pallett they chose for them.

I don't care for most of the fairy type mons designs. But my shiny Sylveon is sweet. I'm sorry if people disagree but I love it!

4th gen really screwed up the idea of pokemon. It seems everyone wants their to look techy, some of the top designs that didn't fit in pokemon to me was dialga, palkia, arceus, giratina.
Like seriously diggers by would not have been considered ugly back in gen 1 & 2 and everyone would have clamored to an ability like huge power. While I admit that slurpuff is ugly, its pre evo is cool so that's something its got going for it.
I pretty much like all of this gen really, even avalugg ( being the only pkmn that has sturdy+ recover combo,)
I didn't like klefki at first but then I said screw it, because there have been pokemon that are just ridicolous to think of how they could exist, what is wobbofet?
How about muk? How much time went into that design ( I like muk BTW )
I mean ampharos turns from a sheep to a sheep giraffe looking hybrid thing, then its mega gets a dragon typing... we all know sheep's descended from dragons... right?

Sawk and throh? They have clothes on naturally they hatch out the egg with clothes on
Arceus... the god pokemon? Really. They shouldn't have went there and to make it worse it doesn't have a godly SIG move. Its SIG move is less than impressive
Dialga and palkia? Time and space.... couldn't they just destroy everything? So having them in a battle contained in a poke ball makes zero sense to me. Its ridicolous.

This generation has done something that no other gen has done for me in the past: be disapointed with a fire starter final evo. It had so much going for it and then its like, screw it, fire psychic fox: let's bomb it and give it bell bottems

At first, I was very hostile toward Chespin and no other pokemon...Chespin grew on me, Quilladin still looks like crap to me...Chesnaught looks cool...

Delphox. Great typing and useable stats, and I can deal with the design but... Magician is garbage, and the incredibly disappointing thing is its movepool. Why does a mage not have Ice Beam or Thunderbolt at least? Meanwhile Greninja gets the godlike Protean and an amazing movepool to abuse it with. ;(

I would have to say, just based on my first reaction seeing leaked images.. the first thing I said over my sister's shoulder (who was reviewing them at the time)

So, I guess Kelfki originally.. though I have very little to hate about it outside it being one of those odd looking guys thats not an animal of any kind. I'm pretty much down for whatever, but the ones I keep having problems with are the Foodemons.. IE, Slurpuff. It's shiny is also retarded with Chocolate Syrup flavors added.

So thats my pick.
