I'm going to be adding a bit more detail to the first post regarding dragon tamers for anyone who doesn't quite understand them, and I also just remembered a couple things I planned on putting in there when I first started planning this RP a few months ago but totally forgot about when I started working on it again... Hopefully it will make things clearer.

Excellent. At this rate, my SU will be complete today or tomorrow.

Name: Alexander Baldwin, though he is known throughout the land as the "Knight of the Greenlands" due to his preference of green and his love of the forest.
Gender: Male
Age (at least 16, but no older than 35): 28

Appearance (at least one full paragraph. You may add a picture, but I still want a written description as well): Alexander could be considered a handsome man. His long, chocolate colored, curly hair ends right at his ears all the way around his skull, and hangs in shocks above his piercing blue eyes. His face is fair, much like the elves in the stories he heard as a child. His smile is warm and charming, and his nose is thin and angular He has milky white skin that is impossible to mark upon. He has never had a single blemish in his life. He stands at 6'5, the average size for a knight. His muscles, in his arms, legs, and abdomen are large and powerful from training long and hard in the knight's academy. He has the description of every little girl's fairy-tale knight. He wears heavy plate armor from the knight's academy, and a chainmail suit under it. He wears all-plate helmet that extends from his head to the base of his neck, that he always removes dramatically so he can have an excuse to shake his hair back and forth. He always has his broadsword strapped around his waist in its ornate, green leather sheath. He calls it "Weapon of the Wilderlands." He had master blacksmiths transform his actual armor and sword green, which he wears with pride. His buckler shield is usually slung around his back with the image of a forest emblazoned on the front. He calls it "Warden of the Woods."

Personality: Alexander is a man of action. He almost always charges into a battle without considering it much. Strangely, he's almost never lost with this tactic. He is extremely brave, but he isn't very wise. He believes that things could always be solved with a good sword stroke or a down-right bashing. When in battle he goes into an insatiable blood lust that cannot be quenched until every enemy is dead. He uses his sword-and-shield combination to defeat enemies right and left. This leaves him with no hold of the reigns, but he grips with his knees and trusts Brenton entirely. He loves the dragon with all of his heart, and the dragon loves him back. The pair will almost never seen without the other. He even took up the Kirin way and became a vegetarian for Brenton. He is rather flirtatious with a women that he falls for, and he almost always wins her over with his charm and good looks. He is curious like Brenton, but he will never go investigate something without him.

History (At least two full paragraphs. I may ask for more if I'm not satisfied. If you've already met your dragon, include how you met it): Alexander Baldwin: A man of diverse history. He was born in Ardynn, the boy of a dragon rider. His father was a member of a special battalion known as the Draconics. They were a special group of dragon riders that the king appointed himself. They were
good riders, but they didn't have the natural talent of a tamer. The Baldwin males have been good at dragon riding for centuries, so Alexander's father had him introduced to the lizards at a young age. He took to them quickly, and tended to play around with the hatchlings all day long.

The biggest heart break he ever had was when his father made him leave Ardynn, at age 10, for Banorless so he could serve the king as a knight, which he reluctantly did. There were no dragons at the place so he felt lost. After four years he took up a broadsword, shield, and armor for his country. He had graduated. He was placed in a unit with seven other knights, and the king sent them to the northern sector of the kingdom. For a period of time, it was lazy, but after a year while they were stationed in Skelslaugh, a bandit raid occured. They nearly succeeded but Alexander stopped them by leading two of his comrades in a pincer move. The other two ended up falling to the leader's axe, but Alexander slew him in return. He returned to his brothers with a long face, but he expected praise. Instead, however, he recieved hatred. They blamed him for the loss of their friends. They told this to the local commander, and he had him discharged for acts of treason.

When he left the city, he traveled into the forest to see what he could find. After a few week of wandering he stumbled across a forest Kirin. The elusive dragon approached him...almost like he knew Alexander. He came within an arm's distance and Alexander reached out to touch it. As soon as he did, he realize that he was meant to be with this dragon. There was no other excuse. He fed the dragon and it soon began following him around. After a while, he let Alexander ride him. It felt natural. Brenton was an extension of him, but with four legs. He had a saddle custom made for Brenton, and he had it dyed green. He even had his armor and blade dyed green, and he had a forest painted on the front of his buckler. He became know as the "Knight of the Greenlands." He became a widely-know figure, one who defends the forest from all harm. For an entire year now, he has defended the woods.

Occupation (how do you make a living? This could range from being a thief to being a rich nobleman.): He's a discharged knight that took up the life of a Dragon-Rider mercenary.

Spells known (include a description of how the spells work and what they do. Remember, nothing too powerful. If your character doesn't know any spells, leave this blank):
Unlocking doors: His fingers release small tendrils of magic that drift into a lock mechanism and tease the bolt until it unlocks
Simple wound healing: He places his hand on a wound and magic flows into his palm. It than heals no more than a bruise.
Some-what powerful night vision: He channels magic to his eyes and he gains a bit of night-vision.
Restores a little bit of energy: He can use his magic to replenish energy

Dragon Species: Forest Kirin

Name: Brenton

Gender: Male

Age (adolescent, adult, or ancient): Ancient

Description (at least one full paragraph. You may add a picture, but I still want a written description): Brenton is a large dragon. He is roughly 12 feet long and 6 feet high. His scales are the exact same color as a tree's bark, and his eyes are the exact same color as Alexander's: A piercing blue color. His horn is long, but his "branches" add a good three or four feet to his height, since he is roughly 100 years old, and he is undefeated in stamping competitions. His tail makes up for about 1 foot of his original length. His back is burdened with a saddle that was custom made for him when Alexander became his rider. He bears it with pride, for it shows that he has a rider. He belongs to someone. He lacks wings, but what he lacks in flight, he makes up for in speed. His legs are powerful from a decade of being Alexander's battle steed.

Personality (at least one full paragraph. I may ask for more if I'm not satisfied): Brenton is a calm creature outside of battle, but when he enters it, no one save for Alexander is safe. He kicks out with his feet, gores with his horns, and destroys with his earthquakes. When his fighting is combined with his rider's they are practically invincible. He is very curious at times, which has led to many an incident, but when Alexander is at the reigns he is rearing to go. He gets along well with other dragons, but he prefers to be alone, or with Alexander. The two are nearly inseparable.

Ok, I think that about gets it. Can always add more if needed.

One more question, what is the wildlife like? Are we dealing with other mythical monsters and are there any mammoths or saber-tooths?

@Iceman- Alright, you're accepted~ Just make sure with the tree thing, Aleos doesn't go ripping trees twice his size out of the ground XD

The wildlife isn't anything special. The only fantasy creatures in this RP are dragons, and really they make up at least half of the wildlife on the mainland, more than that if you count the ones living in the oceans. Otherwise, it's just the usual deer, rabbits, wolves, etc. If it would make things easier, I can add something about it to the first post.

Ok. Was just making sure there was no mammoths or anything like that. I needed to know for my first one or two posts. And lol don't worry, when I said uses trees as weapons, that was the first thing thing came to mind that I needed to make clear he wasn't gonna use giant trees.

I am also going to probably change my age to a bit older, so I am not much younger than the rest.

Here's what I've done of my own SU so far. Think I'll go ahead and save myself a spot, cause now that I've almost finished this, I really wanna use this character... XD Which means there will only be two more spots leftover~

Name: Thia Rondamar

Gender: Female

Age: 24

Appearance:

Spoiler:
Despite her fairly youthful age, Thia's hair is a steely gray color, and it always has been. Her metallic hair reaches halfway down her back and is usually done in two braids with silver bands similar bangles wrapped around most of the braids. Her long bangs reach her nose, but are neatly clipped in a way that they don't get into her eyes and hinder her vision. Emerald earrings that match her stern green eyes adorn her ears, and a ruby hangs from a golden chain around her neck. Standing at about 5'8", Thia is lean and muscular, her body tanned and hardened from long hours of training and physical exertion. Threads made of thinned steel are woven throughout the fabric of her short, tight-fitting yet flexible dress, making it slightly more difficult to pierce, though even that single small moment a blade is held back can be enough time to prevent oneself from being skewered. Metal guards rest on her shoulders to prevent her arms from being chopped off in a fight. Tall leather boots reach up to her thighs, allowing her legs some protection. Following the grey theme, a hooded cloak that also functions as an overcoat flows out er upper arms offer some extra protection behind her, clasped by leather band at the front and with cuffs folded back. Steel bands attached the the cloak circle halfway around her arms. She carries an intricately designed longsword encased in an equally intricate scabbard that is strapped to her back at an angle where her hood won't get in the way of drawing her sword. Gauze is wrapped tightly around her hands to lessen the risk of sores forming on her calloused hands during especially long fights.

Personality: Though of noble blood herself, Thia despises those who live in luxury and are never required to do thing for themselves, as well as the extremely poor who opt for begging for money instead of looking for a way to take care of themselves. She doesn't allow herself or others much time for relaxation. Even if she may seem to be taking time off in a bar, she's usually really there to gather information. She rarely smiles, except for mocking smirks. Otherwise, she always wears a stern expression. She allows herself a few luxuries, such as the expensive equipment she had made specifically to her standards. Those who know Thia know not to mock her status a woman, for those who do soon learn of the strength she has earned from the years of working as a mercenary. When necessary, she takes on a fake expression of sweetness that mocks the person she is speaking to while also managing to lure them into her trap of words. She prefers traveling alone, her only companion being Katul, though during some jobs she doesn't have a choice and must travel with others. She isn't particularly patient with stragglers, made obvious by her scathing looks when someone starts complaining about some injury she deems small, or that they're tired and need a rest. When she's injured or tired, she does her best not to show it and will continue to push herself even if the injury is serious, which often ends up in her pushing herself over the edge and having no choice but to rest. As long as the pay is good enough, she'll do whatever a job requires, even kill.

History: Thia is the daughter of the well-known Rondamar family, her father, Rolland Rondamar, being an soldier in the Royal Guard and her mother, Falona Rondamar, being a strict lady of the court. Because of her parents' positions, Thia spent the first few years of her life in Issathon. Her mother was constantly preparing her for a life of strict refinement. Thia, though, was uninterested in becoming a lady and would often sneak away from Falona's long lectures to escape to the stables where the king's longma were kept. Here she would stay, talking to and stroking the horse-like dragons between bouts of swinging at the air with a stick.

When she was 12, her parents decided that enough was enough and ordered the servants to keep her under constant watch while also taking away many of her privileges, including going the occasional trips she would take with her father to the armory where she would examine the many blades with awe. With the extra restrictions in place, Thia became restless as it became more and more difficult for her to get away, and being locked in her room whenever she attempted these escapades didn't help matters either. Still, she would take advantage of the time alone in her room and practice the maneuvers she had observed knights practicing using whatever sword-like object happened to be around at the time.

By the time she turned 16, Thia had officially grown tired of living as a noble. Daily she would scorn other nobles, who she believed had about as much right to live a luxurious life as a rat in the castle had a right to steal food from the kitchens. Finally, she announced to her parents that she was leaving the household to forge her own life away from the wealth she was so accustomed to. Her parents begged her to stay, but Thia could not be dissuaded. When they realized there was no changing her mind, Falona and Rolland reluctantly granted her two gifts that had been passed down through the Rondamar family through generations: the ruby necklace around her neck and the sword and sheath she still uses to this day, albeit with a few refinements she had a master blacksmith make to them.

Excited at the prospect of her new-found freedom, Thia packed what she would need and left the very same day. With no experience to help her in the wilderness, she became hopelessly lost in less than a day and found herself wandering in what she later learned was the Tonumskel Range. Freezing cold and exhausted, Thia curled up in the first cavernous shelter she came across, not realizing a pack of hungry tatzelwurms were sheltering within the cave as well. Surprisingly enough, the starving dragons didn't eat her, nor did she freeze to death. Instead, when she woke up she found one of the pack coiled next to her and glaring at the others of its kind with a snarl across its features as if daring them to lay a claw on the human it had taken to protecting.

The moment Thia was conscious, she was aware of a confusion of emotions within her and she squeezed her eyes shut as she tried to block out the headache that came with it. Little did she know that these new emotions she felt rushing through her belonged to the protective tatzelwurm and that this dragon was to be her companion for the next 8 years. The tatzelwurm, whom she later came to call Katul, lead her from the cave and through the mountains, glancing back impatiently whenever the young woman stopped to rest. They continued this way for 5 days, trudging through piles of snow and eating whatever Katul was able to catch since Thia had long ago run out of provisions of her own.

Finally, on the 5th day, the village of Skelsaugh came into view, signing the end of Thia's long trek through the mountains. To her surprise, Katul continued to follow her even after entering the village, though once she learned of the bond that had formed between them her confusion faded and she become overjoyed at the thought of having a companion so early in her journey. It was also Skelsaugh that she got her first job.

It happened the day after arriving, when Thia was recovering at an Inn. A man had been leering at her for quite sometime across the room, and when he approached her, Thia could tell what he was thinking: here was young and vulnerable girl whom he could no doubt ransom for a hefty price. The moment he reached out to grab her by the arm, she reflexively drew her sword in a swift motion, holding it steadily at the man's throat. She probably would have sliced his head off without another thought if a hefty hand hadn't landed on her shoulder at that moment. The person in control of this hand became her first employer.

After her first job of escorting the fur trader to Itim, Thia took on more and more jobs, and within a few years she became a well known mercenary, due not only to her skill but to her status as a woman. Throughout these years, Katul was her constant companion, and even the innkeepers dared not tell Thia to leave the tatzelwurm outside. The variety of jobs Thia has taken on have taken her all across Fargona and allowed her to learn many things about the kingdom as well as many different skills, though if she can she avoids Issathon. When her parents discovered this new occupation of her's, they immediately regretted letting her leave and many times attempted to bring her back, but each time Thia would elude their clutches.

Occupation: A wandering mercenary, Thia takes on whatever high-paying jobs she can find throughout the kingdom.

Spells known:

-Bright Flare: Thia closes her hand, and the cracks between her fingers start to glow as light is compressed by magic and collected within her hand. When she opens her hand, the light is released in a blinding flash. A fairly simple spell, it doesn't take much magic to use, though the faster she compresses the light the more of her magic reserve is used.
-Aura Shield: Thia places her arm out in front of her as if a shield were strapped to it, and translucent, glowing golden shield of energy forms. This shield works to protect against physical attacks, as well as absorb the effects of magic aimed at her. This spells uses every last reserve of her magic, becoming stronger the more unused magic she has. When she disarms the spell, the magic used in the spell returns to her as if she'd never lost it. There are two main downsides of this spell, one being if the shield shatters under an attack or if the spell is broken by someone other than Thia, all of the magic dispels instead of returning to her. If this happens, it could take up to two days for her to regain her magic. Also, since this spell uses all of the magic she has, she cannot use any other spells while it is in use.
-Elf Ear: Named for the mythical elves who are said to have extraordinary hearing, this spell heightens Thia's hearing to the point where she can clearly hear a whisper from across a large room. The first few times using the spell, she became overwhelmed by the many sounds, but since then she has learned to focus in on what she wants to hear and block out everything else. The spell last about 15 minutes before fading out. After the spell ends, Thia is left with an irritating earache for the next 30 minutes, but the information she gains through the use of this spell makes it well worth it.
-Pain Blockage: Thia learned this spell so she would be able to fight through any pain. As the name suggests, it completely blocks out pain for a span of 10 minutes. While this spell can be dangerous since she doesn't always notice an injury until it's to late, it also comes in handy for when she needs to just block out the pain or risk being killed in battle.

I am going to try to find a picture that matches Daliden's description close. I usually have bad luck finding pictures to match my description.

I changed the hair color to black. I also have changed my age to 25 so I am about in the middle of ages.

 • Seen yesterday
Finally got my SU done

Name: Rutack ShadowBlade (AKA: the Shadow)
Gender: male
Age:21

Appearance at least one full paragraph. You may add a picture, but I still want a written description as well): strong and noble, Rutack prefers to wear lighter armor, to allow him to be virtually undetected. His Eyes are green, he has a "V" shaped build from his many years of swimming, in lakes, rivers, and even the ocean. He prefers a deep forest green cloak and leather armor than the bulky heavy armor used by knights. His face is chiseled out at an angle giving him a square jaw and a slightly triangular face. He often has a long bow, arrows, and can be seen wielding two swords. his body is finely tuned for his special line of work, he was trained to have a decent endurance when running, and swimming, his legs are well built, his arms strong enough to lift and throw a bale of straw. He has rather long legs, and a long torso, giving him a total height of 5ft 9in. his wingspan (length from fingertip to fingertip) is two inches short of 6ft, giving him an impressive reach. He also has a rectangular piece of black cloth he uses for his infiltration mission, this allows him to breath safely in Shade's black fog
Elven_Ranger.jpg

Personality (at least one full paragraph. I may ask for more if I'm not satisfied): mostly quiet, a little rough around the edges, he's determined to get whatever tasks that have been asked of him done, quick and right. He can't take a joke very easily, although he has a great sense of humor. He believes that through war comes peace, and through peace comes prosperity, and from prosperity comes war. He is humble, he knows his weaknesses, his strengths and his abilities, and takes no pride in them. He is quick and quiet making him the perfect individual for infiltration

History (At least two full paragraphs): he grew up in to a family of knights, and he lived by the knight's code of honor. He lived and grew up in Issathon, since his parents were knights of the king. He learned from the best of knights. He enjoyed living amoung nobles, although many made fun of him because he spent most of his time in the water, he however could easily beat them in a duel. At the age of eighteen and at the end of his education, each student must pick an occupation and show their skills in the job they chose before the king and the other nobles. Many chose to be knights, but Rutack chose to be an infiltrator. He used his spells to help his show his abilities as an infiltrator.

The king was very impressed in Rutack's skills and requested in private that he be one of the king's royal infiltrators. Rutack Accepted, but told the king to give him a two year pilgrimage into the wild, since he wished to uphold the family tradition. The King agreed to let him have his two year pilgrimage before he swore to the king. He left on his pilgrimage the following day, he traveled all throughout the land avoiding as many cities and villages as he could. At the end of his first year he found an abandoned Shadow Drake cavern. As he explored the cavern he came across an un-hatched egg. He paused for a moment, studying the egg. Then he put the egg in the pack he had on his back, and left the cavern.

Shortly (about a month) after Rutack found the egg in the cavern and took it with him, the egg hatched, revealing a fierce looking drake with a sharp pointed jaw, muscular frame and semi-translucent wings, and eerie green eyes. Rutack named the dragon Shade; they finished Rutack's pilgrimage together, Rutack feeding the young Drake meat, and milk. They had a bond from the day Shade hatched, although still young the dragon has grown large enough to be ridden.

Occupation: an Infiltrator, sworn to King Johar Ulond; a warrior that acts as a spy and a scout, they are masters of stealth and are often sworn to a particular leader, the infiltrators do what ever they can to complete the task given, whether it's sabotage, assassination, or just plain observance; the infiltrators do it all.

Spells known (include a description of how the spells work and what they do. Remember, nothing too powerful. If your character doesn't know any spells, leave this blank):
Skry: a spell that allows him to see a snapshot of an individual, for a limited time, (about 10 seconds)
heal: a simple heal spell that alows him to heal himself or others, only lasts about 10 seconds
Flare: a simple distraction flare illusion that helps him draw attention away from where he's at
Serpent's strike: a deadly spell that allows him to strike an enemy with the accuracy, lethality, and speed of a snake, it enhances any weapon he may be using.
Darkness: a simple spell that surrounds the user in pitch black fog.

Dragon Species: Shadow Drake

Name: Shade
Gender: Male
Age (adolescent, adult, or ancient): adolescent
Description (at least one full paragraph. You may add a picture, but I still want a written description): Translucent wings, eerie green eyes, and scales black as night with no stars or moon. Shade is a silent dragon with a menacing look that makes him feared by most around him. His body is muscular, strong enough to take down a castle wall… or hold it up. His scales are a midnight black, with no stars or moon, so black that it looks like his scales are made of obsidian. He has black menacing looking spikes coming from his the back of his head neck and near the tip of his tail. Most people who see him run.
4451599864_ShadowDragon_xlarge.jpeg

Personality (at least one full paragraph. I may ask for more if I'm not satisfied): Shade is Loyal to his trainer, He knows no family except Rutack, and would protect him with his life. He doesn't let the fact that others run away from him wherever he is. He's silent and uses his silence and the black fog he breaths to help his trainer in his infiltration, he is always listening for his master's call. He is rather wise for his age. He is for the most part friendly but if he sees someone or something as a threat to Rutack or himself, he will attack and not hold back. He doesn't trust many people, the one way to tell if he trusts you is, if he will take food from your hand, and let you scratch his head. He takes very good care of himself, keeping himself strong and able for whenever Rutack may need him.

RP Sample (I don't care if it's a post from another RP, or a one you've just written up. Just as long as it's good):
it was dusk. Rutack sat on a small wooden stool in the dragon stables, next to his Dragon, Shade's head… waiting… how he hated waiting… he was waiting for the king's messenger to hand him his orders… Shade was laying down, obviously board and hating the waiting as well. Shade was longing for action and adventure. "Take it easy Shade," Rutack said calmly to his dragon, "in time it'll be only you and me again, in the night sky." The Drake purred at the thought, comforted. Rutack heard approaching footsteps and looked up. The messenger was about ten paces away and approaching. When the Messenger arrived Rutack stood to greet him. The messenger looked cautiously at Shade then back at Rutack and with a shaking hand gave Rutack a sealed letter from the king. Rutack thanked the messenger, who ran off faster than he came. Rutack opened the letter he read it:
Rutack Shadowblade

By order of King Johar Ulond you are to seek out and observe the young Noble, Thia Rondamar, she is currently a wandering mercenary… use EXTREAM CAUTION. You are to simply observe her. You are to keep her alive at all costs.

Signed,
King Johar Ulond

Rutack put the letter in a leather pouch on his saddle bags, and jumped onto Shade, who roared with delight, ready to finally be off and out of this fortress city. at midnight Shade and Rutack took to the skies in the cover of night. As they traveled over the forest they looked around for any sign of the one named Thia Rodamar. eventually they found a clearing in the forest to land. Rutack came up with a plan to hopefully find their quarry, he had Shade in a 10 mile radious spread his dark fog thougout the forest, except in the clearing. Shade went off to perform the task required, while Rutack, prepared a bright fire in the clearing, sat himself down on a stump near the fire and prepared to see what kind of fruit this tactic would bear.

My SU is complete. My sample is my opening post for Shattered Worlds.
