-- [/FATE] --
Generations ago the bordering lands of Prometheus and Pandora found themselves warring for power and territory using both normal men and women as well as powerful sorcerers as soldiers. The land was scorched and bodies littered the battlefields but in the end it appeared as though Prometheus would be victorious. Pandora had in their possession something that could change this though – an ancient artefact, now known as Pandora's Box – that could lay powerful and destructive curses upon the world. In the final days of the Great War between the two nations Pandora unleashed the power of the artefact and decimated the forces of Prometheus and taking much of their territory. Amidst the destruction Pandora's Box was somehow lost.

In the present day (of the RP) it has been twenty years since archaeologists from Prometheus discovered an ornate gold box containing an enormous power. The dangerous weapon used in the Great War, Pandora's Box had been found. In the current age of Prometheus there are seven distinct states each of which with a state government vying for full control of Prometheus. To prevent civil wars from erupting a tournament is held every five years in which a representative sorcerer from each of the seven states competes to win guardianship of Pandora's Box and bring their government into power.

Prometheus couldn't keep these tournaments a secret from neighbouring Pandora forever though and in secret, behind the safety of their borders, Pandora are beginning to enact plans to retrieve their most prized weapon.

-- [/NATIONS] --
Prometheus
Prometheus shares its borders to the north-east with the rival nation of Pandora. Prometheus was once ruled by a king but has long since abandoned the monarchy system (although descendents of the former royal family are still alive) in favour of a strange form of democracy.
Prometheus is split into seven states (also known as regions or realms) known as Flagrora, Undaea, Tellua, Caelus, Fulmia, Vatica and Alchion. Each of these regions is run by an elected parliament but the government of the region who wins the Arbitrium, the tournament for Pandora's Box every five years, will become the supreme government over the other regions of Prometheus. Flagrora is the current capital of Prometheus.

Pandora
Pandora is a large country ruled by a monarchy, although the king or queen is supported and advised by governors they appoint to the various states below them. Pandora has a long history of warring with the surrounding nations but in more recent years they have become less volatile. They have always had a rocky relationship with Prometheus, especially since they discovered that the neighbouring nation is in possession of Pandora's Box. Unbeknownst to Prometheus, Pandora are preparing to sabotage the Arbitrium.

-- [/SORCERERS] --
Sorcerers are people with a connection to spiritual energy of the world. This allows them to perform magic, a gift that many normal people envy. There are eight types of magic available to sorcerers.
  1. Flame – Spells related to heat, smoke and of course fire.
  2. Aqua – Spells related to water, ice and vapour/steam.
  3. Earth – Spells related to soil, rock and metal.
  4. Air – Spells relating to the wind. At advanced level localised weather and vacuums are also possible.
  5. Lightning – All spells related to electricity.
  6. Psychic – Spells of scrying or mind reading. The gift of telekinesis also falls under this category.
  7. Alchemy – Spells that alter the chemical structure or nature of items.
  8. Grey Magic – Split into two categories.
    a. Black Magic – Offensive spells such as jinxes or curses that don't have an elemental affiliation and are neither Psychic nor Alchemic.
    b. White Magic – Defensive spells such as healing or shielding that don't have an elemental affiliation and are neither Psychic nor Alchemic.

Apart from the magic they can work sorcerers have one other weapon in the Arbitrium. At the beginning of the Arbitrium each of the seven sorcerers set to compete is able to conduct the summoning of a servant. A servant is the physical embodiment of the soul of a powerful warrior from legends or history. A servant is powerful but is bound to their sorcerer by the magic of the Arbitrium - a servant would have to go to incredible lengths to disobey their master.

Of the seven sorcerers able to compete in the Arbitrium each will be of a specific class
Saber - Powerful and agile melee warriors. -Taken By Cirrus-
Lancer - Hugely agile and usually skilled with long-ranged melee weapons (staves, lances etc..)
Archer - Archers usually specialise in projectile weapons and can survive further away from their masters for longer. -Reserved By EliteBeats
Rider - Riders have a strong focus on speed and powerful noble phantasms (often their mounts in life) -Taken By SwiftSign-
Caster - Casters are skilled in sorcery and have the ability to create a space around them that enhances their sorcery (at the cost of a lot of power at first). -Taken By GimmePie-
Assassin - Although weaker in combat for the most part they are usually very skilled and have the ability to become invisible for short amounts of time on top of already incredible stealth abilities. -Taken By CosmicFury
Berserker - They are incredibly strong (physically) and resilient but are rarely intelligent and lack mobility compared to the other classes. They have always gone berserk in their lifetime. -Taken By Jegretis-

With the exception of Archer servants cannot stray too far from their masters for long or they will lose their connection to the physical world (their masters presence) and vanish. This is their greatest weakness whilst their noble phantasms are their greatest strength. The noble phantasm of a servant is (usually) a mount or item with important relevance to the servants past.

-- [/ARBITRIUM] --
The Arbitrium is the name of the tournament for Pandora's Box. It is hosted by the winning region of the previous tournament and is set in a specific area. The rules of the Arbitrium are as follows

  1. Each region is to send one representative to compete.
  2. The goal is to "kill" the servants of other sorcerers. You may use as much force as you believe is required - there is no rule against killing other sorcerers but many frown upon this practice in the modern day.
  3. You can form alliances but in the end only one region can win.
  4. The tournament is arbitrated by a council of seven, one judge from each region.
  5. The winner shall be granted one "wish" by the new government.

-- [/SETTINGS: GAMEPLAY;] --
Fate of a Nation is set in an alternate world to our own Earth (on a planet called Titanis) in a time period similar to our own. This means that as well as magic sorcerers will also have access to melee weapons and firearms (but limited ammunition) – as a general rule characters will have bullet proof vests above or below their clothing. The alternate setting also means that whatever servant you come up with will become a piece of the worlds history (but you may base them on existing mythology or history).

The actual setting of this role play is a large battlefield including a forest, a mountain and the disjointed ruins of an ancient civilisation found in the region of Flagrora.
Fate of a Nation is a sandbox RP that will have the story steered on by events posted by GMs. In between these story events there will be two layers of conflict to consider
  1. The Arbitrium itself.
  2. The Pandorian soldiers and sorcerers sent to sabotage the tournament and locate and steal Pandora's Box.

This leaves matters of conflict and alliances up to each player individually although there will be no knowledge of Pandora's involvement until later on in the RP.

-- [/SU: SHEET;] --

Name: Laurie Blue
AKA: --LAURA--
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Region: Flagrora... It's Flagrora, right?

Appearance

: Laurie stands at six feet with weight of around 135 pounds, this makes her rather tall and slender. Good for her. Her hair is long, somewhat curly and of a deep brown, as are her round, somewhat-small eyes and even her color of lipstick. Place this traits along her face which is round on top but somewhat narrow down the chin, and add a constant look of tiredness, long eyebrows that curve downside, some freckles, a tuft and a small nose to her semblance and there you go. click me for SUPER FAST ACCESS TO A PICTURE OF HER! Today she is wearing a dark red embroidered blouse, an old pair of black jeans, and a pair of slippers. Her limited amount of accessories include a pair of earrings and a hard hat.

Personality

Psychology and perception: Poor judgement, she rarely knows if what she's doing is good or wrong. Furthermore, most of her actions that are deemed as bad are ones she enjoys a lot.

Self-discipline: Impulsive. Barely takes time to consider what sorts of consecuences her actions will have.

Lifestyle: Abuses trsust in a rather excessive manner. Has no life plan, goals to achieve or motivations to thrive thru her everyday life.

Social attitude: People-oriented. Sometimes sociable, although only is it is convenient for her. Manipulative and will not fear to admit that she's doing this to someone...

Honesty and honour: Controlling, almost crossing the OCD line. It all must go according to a set routine and if any action strays from her planns then you will unleash her full rage over a poor, innocent soul.

Emotional capacity: Does not use or understand emotion when making decisions. She won't know if you're angry with er, and when she does, she won't understand why you're so mad, and the smae goes with all other emotions (just keep in mind that Mayonaisse is not an emotion, m'kay?).

Current emotional state: Hateful. She hates the way people act around her, the words they say and, she probably hates you already... Also somewhat depressed... cause life sucks.

Background Information:

Servant: Approaching the time for summoning a servant was a moment Sam will make sure to remember. While she was expecting the typical macho dude who likes to be watched while he kills everything, the results were Skaði from Norse mythology -and she's like, totally awesome!-. Sometimes referred to as Skadi, Skade, or Skathi by Sam in failed attempts to pronouce her name. Skaði was a goddess associated with bowhunting, skiing, winter, and mountains. As such, you can expect her clothing to be made for resisting the harshness of winter -Gym Leader Pryce would be proud os this :p-.

She is an avid skier and hunter who uses her bow and arrow as only weapons. This is to say she is an excellent Archer, who managed to kill her own father, marrying then divorcing a man that was promised to her by the gods for accomplishing this task. She then married the god Odin, and they proceeded to have many children, most of whose identities remain unknown.

Her noble phantasm is known as the Berserk Bow, but don't be fooled by the name. It looks nothing like an instrument she would kill you with... At first glance, at least. On second thought, be very afraid of her bow and the rain of arrows you may or may not receive depending on her mood. Either she greets you and you chi-chat in a happily happy mood, or she mutilates you slowly with her arrows out of anger :]

@Jov006 - I'd recommend looking for the Fate wiki via google, it covers all the Fate series so should help you out plenty. :)

I'll write my own SU shortly.

Edit: Here's what I have so far - more to come.

Name: Raina Sabbadin
AKA: N/A
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Region: Fulmia

Appearance: Raina is quite short standing not much above five feet and is of a generally petite stature. Her skin is quite pale which contrasts her black eyes quite well; a lot of people describe her as cute. Raina has back hair that is cut shorter and frames her face, although it is longer at the back and size.

During the course of the Arbitrium Raina will be wearing a pair of dark blue leggings and a white button up shirt with thin grey pinstripes and short sleeves, she wears a navy blue ribbon tied around her neck. Over her shirt she wears a grey-blue vest and if it is cold a long navy blue coat.

Her default expression is a subtle, somewhat impish looking, grin but if she is a bad mood this can change.

Personality: There are two distinct sides to Raina's personality; one side is very positive and tends to be outgoing but the other side, is dangerous and violent.

Raina is usually a happy, albeit mischievous, person with a good sense of humour. She is easily to get along with for most and many people would think she could never hurt a fly. This isn't true though – whilst she has learned to control it over the years she has a dangerous side too. If you push her over the edge she can become very aggressive and violent, occasionally even blood thirsty and whilst it is fairly difficult to bring this side of her out, once she's like that it is quite hard to calm her down.

Perhaps one of the bigger aspects of her personality is that she hates to see people who don't deserve it suffer – although she isn't foolish enough to believe she can prevent everyone from suffering she will always do what she can for others (unless you are competing with her... she can be quite competitive).

Despite her strange, two-sided personality, Raina is far from stupid and is quite insightful. She realises that competing for leadership creates an unstable government and that the Arbitrium and its use of Pandora's Box as a trophy will likely attract negative attention from neighbouring Pandora. As such , if she wins, she will use her one request to end the Arbitrium for good and have Prometheus become a true democracy.

Servant: Raina successfully summoned the Caster servant for the Arbitrium, although what she got was quite surprising. Caster, whose true name is Desdemona, takes on the form of a Raven rather than appearing human like most Servants. In her life Desdemona was noted as being a powerful sorceress by all, even the king of her nation – her former lover and a regular man. The king was a foolish tyrant, but he had enough sense to stay away from the powerful sorceress and didn't push things too far for fear of angering her.

Until one day she opposed him in full view of many of his advisors and subjects. She had very nearly had enough with his greedy and tyrannical ways and made clear that she would take action if need be. The king did not heed her threat though, and actually retaliated by being harsher on his subjects – he would fear the witch no longer.

Rather than rally behind her though, the nation turned against her – poisoned by a few loyal servants of the king. They blamed her for the Kings villainous treatment of them. This continued until the King ordered a group of one hundred and fifty of his finest swordsman and sorcerers to take her life. In a tremendous battle Desdemona unleashed a terrible spell upon the city she lived in that reduced all but a few buildings to rubble – Oblivion. The dangerous spell took too great a toll on her human body though and she was forced to spend what was left of her life in the body of a Raven.

Desdemona's most dangerous Noble Phantasm is the spell Oblivion. It channels latent magical energy in the area and is unleashed in a single, wide-spread blast in conjunction with the users own. She must be careful with the spell though as the greater the scale of the spell, the greater the risk she will destroy her physical body. She also possesses a less cataclysmic Noble Phantasm that will allow her to pool her magical power together with anyone she touches.

Background Information: Raina has always gone under the radar, despite being highly skilled and making no effort to be subtle. This is mostly because her family have gone to a lot of effort throughout her life to keep the darker side of her hidden - when she is in her deadly state of mine things can turn out badly for those involved and so she was often kept away from areas that were too populated.

This being said she would escape the crushing grip of her family as frequently as she could, spending her time away from them people-watching and learning about society (this is how she came to realsie the system she lives under is flawed) whilst when she was cooped up she would spend most of her time practising and refining her magical skills. It came as quite a surprise to Raina when she was selected by her government to compete in the Arbitrium, although she was quick to accept her placement knowing it would put her in a position where she could remedy their weak political system.

This looks interesting. I think I'll do an SU as well. My knowledge is pretty basic amongst the Fate Universe as I have only watched Fate/Stay Night, but I think I'll manage(I'm going to start Zero soon). Also, can our RP Sample be from a different site?

Name: Avant Ayers

AKA: N/A

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Region: Caelus

Appearance: The first thing someone would notice about Avant would be his height, which he sands at a good 6'2", nearing 6'3". He has a pretty good build, and his developed trapezius and deltoid muscles give him a slightly more heavier look. Although not beefy, he's far from being a walking stick. His hair is black and short, and he likes to keep it that way, with the top part of his hair being slightly spiky.

For the tournament, he will be wearing a black crewneck sweater with dark-blue jeans. His shoes are black and low-cut(similar to low-cut Supras if you have ever seen those), with white laces. Underneath it all he wears a white wife-beater along with blue boxers, along with the bulletproof vest provided for use in the tournament.

His usual expression is not really enthusiastic, but rather neutral, which makes him easier to approach rather than having a 'tough-guy' look all the time.

Personality: Obviously not a tough guy once you get to know him, he likes to crack the occasional joke. He's more gentle than anything, and would prefer to avoid confrontations. Not exactly coward-like, but if he sees something is wrong, he won't hesitate to question the heck out of it until he's sure it's safe. This is all in good cause though, as he is cautious because he does not want himself or others getting hurt. Especially when he's around someone he doesn't completely trust, he will have his guard up in case anything happens. He is serious when the situation calls for it, and once that happens, he's usually extremely alert to his surroundings, and is ready to get his hands dirty when he needs to. With that being said, most of the time he is in a more relaxed mode, and likes to lighten the mood up a bit when he can. He knows when the right time is to make a joke, and when it is outright wrong.

H's also not the adventurous type. If he had a motto, it would not be 'Grab Life by the Horns' but more along the lines of 'Eat. Play. Sleep. Repeat.' Of course that's not a totally accurate motto, but it would fit him rather nicely.

Servant: Berserker

Trying to summon a Servant with immense power, Avant was hoping he would get something more...man-like. What he ended up with was a gigantic three-headed beast, known as Cerberus. Known as the guard dog of Hell, Cerberus spent his days at the Gates of Hell, preventing anyone who crossed the River Styx from ever escaping the clutches of Hell. He was Hades' personal pet, and it obeyed him without question.

Cerberus was defeated by the hero known as Heracles, who went to Hell as the final task. The mission was to defeat him without the use of any weapons, and through a valiant effort, he managed to grab Cerberus and throw him over himself slamming him into the ground, knocking him unconscious. After carrying him all the way to the surface World, the beast horrified everyone, ven the King, who banished the beast back to Hell for all of eternity.

Appearance-wise, Cerberus stands at around 11-12 feet on his legs, and neck extended all the way up. It's build is wide and bulky, being incredibly strong. It has rough black fur, and has elongated necks attached to each of its three heads. Cerberus has bright red-eyes with black pupils, and enormous jaws filled with dagger-like teeth. Each head has a giant metal collar, as well as several 'bracers' on each leg. It also has a stubby tail. As Avant's Servant, Cerberus is highly loyal, like a dog. It has a more gentle nature, is caring, and does not attack without Avant's consent. Liking to be pet on the head and neck, it typically acts like a dog. In battle, Cerberus can be savage, and will not hesitate to protect Avant from danger. Its jaws are bone-crushing, and its bulkiness only adds to the monstrosity which is Cerberus.

His Noble Phantasm is called 'Hades' Charm.' It is a NP which is always in effect. It allows Cerberus to stay alive as long as least one of its heads remain alive. All the dead heads eventually come back to life after a set amount of time, and if they were decapitated, then they grow back. The only way to kill him is to defeat all three heads before one of them grows back.

Also, just a small side ability, Cerberus has a natural resistance to Fire magic, as he is from Hell.

Background Information: Born in Caelus, Avant is well aware of The Arbitrium for Pandora's Box. He was never the type to care for political affairs, however the tournament was something that had changed his life. With all the people in the nation, he wasn't expecting himself to enter in The Arbitrium, to duke it out with people from the other nations. This in itself was a death wish, and he did not want to die, as some people do while in the tournament. With this in mind, and being a Magic User, he sought to summon the most powerful Servant he could to be his ally for the competition. Hoping for the best, he ended up with a dog named Cerberus.

RP Sample: Click This. It's the first post. There's several posts there if you don't think the first one will suffice.

@Jegrestis Everything looks pretty good... GP is alot more picky about the length of stuff but, your's is no longer than what I usually post so I say your good on that! XD
Anyways I really liked the idea of using an animal instead of a human as a servant! I'ts definitely really creative. One small thing though resistant to fire magic may be a little OP but it's a minor gripe and i'll just talk it over with GP so don't change it just yet! Good Work! :D

Do our servants have to be actual mythological/historical figures or can we make 'em up?

If we can't make up our servants, I'll change my Servant's class to Saber as I have a figure in mind.

Under construction. Complete.

... Because this is a fate/ rp, and I have free time, so why not.

master.

Name: Emilia de Riviere-Ferrand
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Region: Vatica

Appearance: Exhibiting a series of sharp contrasts blended together in astonishing harmony, Emilia presents a countenance that is, if not immediately dazzling, at least rather memorable to the observer. Her aureate tresses, extending to a little above her knees, are fastidiously groomed and arranged on a daily basis, and thus are able to retain a rare gloss and smoothness. Her eyes are a light verdigris, and alertly survey her surroundings at every opportunity with a piercing gaze. At approximately a hundred and sixty-seven centimetres in height, she doesn't cut a particularly imposing figure, although she still possesses a height which is fairly respectable amongst members of her own gender.

Her preferred attire is composed of a mixture of white and black, with almost no intermediate between the two colors. A sleeveless cotton blouse, bordered with scarlet and embellished with light floral motifs of the same persuasion, is accented by the adornment of a velvet rose, from which a single atramentous ribbon dangles; the same garment, accompanied by long matching gloves and a prototypical black tie, consist the entirety of Emilia's vestments for her upper body. A black woolen pencil skirt of a medium-short length covers her upper thighs, a vent at the garment's side allowing for freedom of movement. A comfortable layer of translucent silk of a similar coloration is superposed over the remainder of her lower extremities, accompanied by a pair of slightly heeled ankle boots. Various floral hair decorations and a platinum bracelet atop her right wrist serve as fanciful ornamentation.

Personality: Characterized by a refined composure and an unflinching gaze, Emilia exemplifies a quiet sophistication and majesty that is often only found in the bloodlines of long-standing aristocratic families. Appearing to possess a sanguine outlook towards the world around her, she outwardly expresses a recurrent cheerfulness, and acts with plaisance and courtesy alike in social situations in regards to those that she is not particularly familiar with. While she may seem to be rather likeable because of these traits, she is in fact a much more sharp-tongued and critical character in private life, more demanding than not with her words and very condemnatory with respect to anyone who is unlucky enough to become the subject of her ire. Highly capricious and mercurial in her behavior, she might be entirely satisfied one moment and yet vehemently cynical the next; though she has a certain set of expectations for those she knows well, no one is quite sure what they constitute.

Supremely confident of herself and her abilities, she exudes an aura of imperious command. Although not an individual that would be classified as extremely talkative – in fact largely reserved, in spite of her exacting nature – she nevertheless manages to impress upon others, with only a few words, what actions she requires of them with perfect forthrightness; this is, perhaps, a variety of egoism, but she walks with a resolute self-righteousness that is difficult to dispute, and in any case, her judgment is usually not impaired enough for her to issue directives to those who would take offense at it or otherwise be noncompliant.

Contrary to her graceful form and neatness of style, however, she has a tendency to become somewhat nervous when the situation at hand spirals out of predictability; her normal impassiveness and clarity is shaken when under abnormal circumstances, and almost seems to dissolve entirely under immense stress; she retreats into a kind of awkward silence, stunned by uncertainty and doubt. Yet, her overall personality has not yet abolished its few fragments of innocence, and her mind, though somewhat strange compared to those of ordinary people, still retains a rare fairness that only remains because of her sheltered upbringing.

Background Information: Ha, ha. It's not like I'd give away my background information in a Holy Grail War anyway. The sole heir and likely future head of the de Riviere-Ferrand bloodline, the Sorcery Trait of which is Radiant Transference, the conversion of measurable physical energy into prana (and naturally, vice versa). Gifted with above-average magic circuits, even by the standards of her bloodline. Possessor of the Mystic Code, Argent Wreath, which increases the efficiency of prana usage (but not necessarily the power of the magecraft) and also functions as a one-shot storage device that can unleash a huge amount of prana but must be refilled afterwards; if there is no sufficient outlet for this prana, it quickly becomes a risk to both the sorcerer and her surroundings, as the ensuing blast does not distinguish between friend and foe.

servant.

Spirit: Nuada Airgetlám
Class: Saber
Master: Emilia de Riviere-Ferrand

Parameters:

Strength: B
Endurance: A
Agility: B
Mana: A
Luck: C
N. Phantasm: A

Class Skills:

Magic Resistance, B-rank: Skill bestowed upon the Heroic Spirit by the Saber class container. Cancels spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for her to be affected.

Riding, B-rank: Skill bestowed upon the Heroic Spirit by the Saber class container. Most vehicles can be handled with above average skill. However, cannot ride the likes of Phantasm Races such as Monstrous Beasts.

Personal Skills:

Divinity, A-rank: Often recognized as a deity or an alternative form of a deity, and ruled in the Age of Gods. Treated as a mixed race of Divine Spirit, and reduces both the purge defense and the rank of skills such as Protection of the Faith of enemies.

Charisma, B-rank: A skill associated with kingship, granted by her status as first king of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Increases abilities of allies during group engagements.

Military Tactics, B-rank: Tactical knowledge used not for one-on-one combat situations, but for battles where many are mobilized. Increases the power of the owner's Anti-Army Noble Phantasms and defenses against an enemy Anti-Army Noble Phantasm.

Noble Phantasms:

クレイヴ・ソリッシュ: 不抜する裁決の輝煌, Anti-Unit, A-rank:

One of the Four Treasures of the Tuatha Dé Danann, and crafted by Divine Spirits in the Age of Gods. Originally from the city of Findias, it is a lustrous sword which signifies victory and judgment, and passively radiates light which can be suppressed by the user, if desired.

A conceptual weapon in the vein of Noble Phantasms with similar origins such as Fragarach and Brionac, it will clash with those weapons if brought against each other. It embodies the essence of "irresistible sword which unerringly strikes", and ignores the law of causation to an extent, only caring about the result of "cleaving the opponent in twain" and rewriting the cause as might be reasonably appropriate for the sword to be able to accomplish that goal. Upon activation, it inflicts true damage to the target which cannot be avoided or mitigated by any means. The initial amount of the damage is only moderate, but any subsequent activation upon the same target instantly rends it into two horizontal halves, both in body and in identity. For an enemy which has previously made contact with the blade of the sword, the first activation is sufficient to apply this effect, and even if the enemy is able to survive being cut in half, the ability's base damage is still applied. The only drawback of this technique is that the attack must be delivered at a fairly close range; it otherwise functions against any non-structural target.

Even though the best countermeasure against the ability is to prevent it from being activated or to retreat out of its range, sufficiently high Luck or powerful divine protection (as long as the latter is not overcome by the Divinity ability of the Servant) is able to prevent the erasure and division of a target against whom a second activation has been initiated, though if the attack is avoided with luck it will still inflict heavy damage. Naturally, an EX-ranked Barrier Noble Phantasm is also able to defend against the inevitable conceptual attack, and auto-resurrection abilities, invulnerability abilities with enough magic to overcome the rank of the Noble Phantasm, and other survival abilities such as God Hand will all be able to protect the target.

Upon utilizing the ability, the glow from the blade intensifies to the point of being able to momentarily blind ordinary observers; after the brief charge-up period is completed, a crescent of luminance is unleashed at the intended target.

アガートラーム: 高潔尋ね求める欠落から, Anti-Unit, C-rank

The silver hand crafted by Dian Cecht, physician-god of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Although Dian Cecht's son Miach later restored the hand as one of flesh and blood, the Noble Phantasm still remains as an embodiment of the dreams and imagination of humanity of the identity of the Heroic Spirit.

It is an always-active effect which has a high chance to reduce the Luck of any enemy who uses an attack with strength equal to a Noble Phantasm of C-rank or higher by 1 rank. Contrary to common sense and what is typical with a lot of other abilities, the lower the enemy's Luck rating is, the less likely it is that they will be affected by this ability.

Additionally, the Noble Phantasm can be activated by chanting its name as a barrier effect, which increases Endurance and Luck significantly at the cost of the owner's Strength; also, a shield that protects from one single conceptual attack is generated. Due to the rank of the ability, conceptual attacks are often not able to be completely blocked. However, if a conceptual attack is even partially blocked successfully, any subsequent use of the Noble Phantasm is forbidden for the duration of the encounter, and the Servant must regain the ability to use it by devoting prana and time to the task.

キニェル・ヌアダド: 万端込めるの明典, Anti-Army, B++-rank

A curio lesser in mysticism compared to Claíomh Solais, but a powerful tool in the Servant's arsenal nonetheless. It manifests as a small gold mirror, engraved with the likeness of a crescent moon.

An ability with a channeled activation, it has the potential to inflict damage far beyond what is expected of an ability of its rank, provided enough prana is invested. Gathering the light of the moon as its primary attribute, it acts as a focus through which that element is amplified a thousand-fold. It has a unique incantation that is slightly different from simply its name, and conjures a multitude of photic rays which have the ability of either bombarding an area or being sent at specific targets, and the ray is able to, at the owner's discretion, either heal or harm. Rather than being a conceptual weapon, it completely relies on energy to deliver and increase its damage or effect output, and inflicts bonus damage to Demons, Dead Apostles, and other such unnatural beings with an evil affiliation.

Despite the description, it does not require the light of the moon to function; rather, it, having acted as a kind of repository of moonlight, is able to directly convert prana into the attribute, thus circumventing the necessity to collect moonlight entirely. However, the effect of this ability is increased by the presence of a full moon.

Legend:

A wise and noble ruler of an ancient race of gods, Nuada led her people from a group of four cities in the north to the current continent. Making contact with the then-inhabitants of the land, the Fir Bolg, she sought half of the continent for her own people, and led them into war when the Fir Bolg refused. The first great battle, occurring at Magh Tuireadh, was preceded by a great amount of chivalrous gestures from both sides; it was in this battle that Nuada lost her hand to the Fir Bolg champion, Sreng. Although her people achieved victory and her hand was replaced by one of silver by the physician Dian Cecht, she was required to resign from the kingship, and for the following seven years her people were miserable under their new king, a half-Fomorian prince named Bres, who was renowned for his beauty and intellect but proved to be unnecessarily harsh to his people.

After the seven years had passed, Nuada was able to reclaim her throne through the assistance of Miach, the son of Dian Cecht, who restored a hand of flesh and blood to her, and exiled Bres, who escaped to his father and asked for assistance; the latter abjured him, on the grounds that Bres should not attempt to reobtain through injustice that which he had been unable to keep through justice, but another leader of the Fomorians, Balor of the Evil Eye, agrees to help him. At some point before the two sides were about to engage in warfare, Lugh, another half-Fomorian and a hero equally skilled in many arts, came to Nuada's court; Nuada, seeing in him the potential to overcome the Fomorians, gave him command of her army, and though she was eventually slain by the poison from Balor's eye in the second great battle at Magh Tuireadh, Lugh avenged her death by killing Balor with his spear, and her people were victorious.

The catalyst by which she was summoned as a Servant was an excavated silver hand, thought to be the same from the legend.

Do our servants have to be actual mythological/historical figures or can we make 'em up?

If we can't make up our servants, I'll change my Servant's class to Saber as I have a figure in mind.

@JovSure that sounds good!

@Cirrus looking good so far!

Nowhere near complete, I'll let you know when it's done.

Name: Maylene Lowe
AKA: May
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Region: Tellua

Appearance:

May wears her black hair long, just as her mother insisted, normally secured by white or blue ribbons. Her over-attentive parents had argued many times with her the length of May's hair, her mother refusing to let it be cut.

The ribbons match her dresses and robes, which also tend to be light shades of blue. Normally, her style is somewhere between comfortable and formal - her parents would never approve of the risque clothing that many young girls of the nation wear.

Personality:

Being brought up in a family of Magi, May had got used to the thrills and excitement it can bring - she is very mature and calm for her age, which often means she has time to assess a situation before diving in. Her nature was helpful in her mastering aqua type magic, focusing mainly on water manipulation, as well as simple psychic skills such as scrying for other magi.

Often, May wears a deceptive smile. Many mistake her smile for cheerful, however it is just a force of habit. "A good woman will always smile," her mother used to chant during their weekly family meetings. A smile can hide your true intentions, a smile could save your life.

Above everything, throughout her childhood, May had been taught to respect her elders and family. To join The Arbitrium was just another ploy of her parents to give status, power and wealth to Lowe household.

Background information:

May was brought up in a wealthy family, which led to many high expectations of her. Her mannerisms, her clothing and the skills she excels at were all chosen by her parents - she had little say in her choices growing up and was certainly not expected to look after herself.

She was trained, from a young age, to use magics that had affinity with the element water. It was essential to her mother that she had a strong start as a mage and learnt many skills to utilise her prana energy. Secretly, May also taught herself some psychic-type skills. However, her self teaching was no where near as efficient and her scrying skills leave a lot to be desired.

May never really had the opportunity to develop her own ideas and personality, after being sheltered from society and groomed for selection for so long. On the inside, amongst the mess her parents dealt her, is a kind girl who just wishes to get away from the responsibility that is before her.

Servant: Rider

Rider was a warrior in his previous life, he was the pride and joy of his country and a noble figure. He was entrusted with the destruction of a terrific beast, the great dragon; however, instead of slaying the beast he befriended it. The people of the nation turned on him, ripping him of his titles and condemning his behaviour - eventually ordering his death, along with the vile beast he tamed.

The name, in his previous life, was Georgius or Saint George as he was later known.

Noble Phantasms:
  • Kaarmaah [Anti-Army]: The dragon he tamed, a huge beast capable of flight and breathing fire at the enemies.
  • The Cross [Barrier]: A defensive phantasm, Georgius can summon a large shield which can block all magic attacks, which is disarms on contact. It also works as a normal shield against physical attacks, however is not fool proof. The Cross cannot be wielded by another servant or any master (including May).

Personal Skills:
  • Admirable touch: Georgius can easily gain the trust of humans, magi and other intelligent creatures.
  • Guardian Knight: Strength and defensive are boosted when defending the weak.

RP Sample: A brief sample from another RP (cited).

@Jegretis - I don't think a resistance to flame is too bad - but don't over do it.

I'll be finishing my SU soon - what have we got so far in the way of Servants?

Beserker - Cerberus (Based on Greek Myth)
Caster - Desdemona (Very loosely based on the Shakespearean character).
Rider - Saint George (Western myth... possibly an actual person who never met a dragon).

SWIFT HAS SAINT GEORGE - EVERYBODY RUN!

oh and
@Jov - They have to be historical/mythological features, but why should that mean you can't make them up?

This Saint George? (: o)

Anyway, aren't there as often as not multiple Noble Phantasms per Servant? With one (or two, sometimes) main very powerful one and one or two (or sometimes three) assisting ones. There are some examples of one-Phantasm Servants, but they're relatively few (fake Assassin, True Assassin in f/sn, various other Assassins with Zabaniya: X, and Caster in f/z come to mind) I'm going to be designing my Servant's attributes as well, so I hope that's ok.

;-; I had no idea it had already be done. Is it OK if I still use the idea Chili/Gimmie? I'll be making it my own and ignoring that wiki page entirely XD.

Some servants have more than one NP, but in general there is one. In the anime at least, very few characters have more than on NP, however they might have different ways to use it/techniques/abilities.

Characters such as Saber have one main NP, Excalibur, but then has Avalon which is kind of an add on. The Lancer in /Zero also has two NPs.

... and then there's Gilgamesh and Archer from Stay/Night
But let's not go there.

You can still use Saint George because this isn't Earth it is an entirely different planet. Your George just has a similar mythology ;)
