Aurora Town - Pokémon Lab

Professor Solaria explained what she would give to those who came to the lab. It was a Pokédex, some Pokéballs and a Trainer ID apart from the starter. As she showed the boy who would get to pick first, the honey-haired girl paid close attention to which were the starter. Her heart pounded with excitement as the one she wanted to pick was mentioned by the Professor. She crossed her fingers and wished that the boy wouldn't take it away from her. Luckily for her, he chose Piplup, another Pokémon.

"Phew...that was close..." she said to herself.

Then another girl came to make her first pick, which made the honey-haired girl cross her fingers again and wish for something almost the same as before. And, once again, she sighed in relief after the girl picked a Pichu. She stared at her for a while as she talked to her Pokémon, like if that Pichu was speaking in human language. How in Arceus' name could she do something like that?

Then, her mind went back to the Pokéballs on the table, the ones that contained the starters. Unwilling to be nervous about which Pokémon would the next one pick, she stepped forward.

"...I'm up!" she exclaimed, and walked up to the table.

She stared at the Pokéball that lay right next to the one where the one containing Piplup once was, which was the one on the farthest left. she pointed at it and triumphantly exclaimed, "I, Laurie Noir, choose Charmander!"

After that, all she heard was silence. Although it was brief, it was enough to make her feel embarassed and a bit regretful of shouting like that. But she also felt it was completely necessary, she just couldn't hold that excitement in any longer and had to let it out sooner or later.

Professor Janice Solaria

Professor Solaria chuckled slightly with a smile at the girl who came up and exclaimed that she wanted Charmander. "it's great to see some enthusiasm." she smiled and handed Laurie the Pokeball containing Charmander.

"I also have your Trainer ID, Pokedex, and five Pokeballs, You've already heard me say it to two others so I don't need to repeat myself" Professor Solaria handed Laurie the items. "go ahead and choose a gym badge case. Good luck, stay safe, and most importantly have fun" Professor Solaria grinned at Laurie and then looked at the other kids.

"Alright who's next? Piplup, Charmander, and Pichu have already been Chosen" she announced.

Evangeline "Eva" Jasmine Celine

Route 1

Evangeline smiled to herself as she reached the entrance to Route 1. This was it, one step and she would officially be on her journey. She couldn't wait and was excited. This was the first time there were kids on their journeys here in the Celestia and Evangeline couldn't wait to see what Pokemon she found on the first route. "ready Melody?"

Melody smiled and nodded. "I am"

Evangeline smiled more and took her first few steps onto Route 1. Like places back home there were trees around and tall grass. The sky was a deep blue in color and there wasn't a single cloud. The sun was getting higher and there was a slight breeze rustling the leaves on trees and the grass. It was beautiful. As Evangeline walked more into the route she spotted a boy fighting and catching a Mudkip and recognized him as the boy who left right before she had but she kept walking on the path. As she looked around she spotted several Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour climbing the trees and a flock of Starly flying in the sky.

"are we going to fight something?" Melody asked looking around.

"of course we are Melody, I just don't know what to catch yet" Evangeline responded looking around when something caught her eye. She spotted a wild Emolga fly down from a tree and land on the path staring at her. "Look it's an Emolga" Evangeline smiled and pulled out her Pokedex aiming it at the Emolga.

Right as she did that the electronic voice spoke. "Emolga the Sky Squirrel Pokémon. Emolga lives in trees and uses its cape-like membrane to glide through the air." Evangeline smiled though she already knew that. Melody hopped off her shoulder landing on the ground in front of her trainer.

"Alright Melody use Thundershock" Evangeline smiled crossing her arms. Melody took a breath and her body sparked and she sent a yellow bolt of electricity at Emolga. The attack hit and right away the Emolga glared at Melody. Emolga jumped in the air and glided toward Melody it's tail turning silver. Emolga swung it's tail at Melody and hit her making the Pichu skid back.

"it's okay Melody, now use Volt Tackle"

Melody ran forward on all four legs and electricity crackled in the air an surrounded her. Melody slammed into Emolga and the wild Pokemon whimpered and let out a small growl. Emolga moved quickly and slammed into Melody with Quick Attack. "Use Charm then Thundershock." Melody looked at Emolga, her eyes went wide and she put a paw at her mouth looking cutely at Emolga who faltered for a minute. The next second Melody's body sparked and a bolt of electricity hit Emolga paralyzing it.

Seeing her chance Evangeline threw a Pokeball at the Emolga. The ball shook once...then twice...three times before it clicked shut. "Yes!" Evangeline yelled excitedly. "We did it Melody!" Evangeline smiled happily and picked up Emolga's Pokeball. "now what to call you?" she asked herself.

Aurora Town - Pokémon Lab

Professor Solaria's response to Laurie's attitude came as a complete surprise for her. She thought that shouting like that would have got her in trouble, like being forced to pick last, or maybe even not getting to pick. But the Professor liked that enthusiasm that Laurie had, and handed over the Pokéball containing Charmander to her. The honey-haired girl said nothing, and stared at the Pokéball in astonishment and awe.

I did it...It's finally mine... she thought, I finally have my own Pokémon!

She placed the Pokéball on her belt, and then got the Pokédex, Trainer ID and Pokéballs from Professor Solaria. Being the first two the most important and invaluable items, she put them in one of her shorts' pockets, while she put away the five Pokéballs in her bag. But that was not it, as there was a variety of Badge cases for her to pick. She picked a black one, and put it away in her bag as well. Then she heard Solaria's last words, wishing her good luck.

"Thanks." Laurie said and walked out of the lab.

The Prologue: Part 3

Fallow smiled when he Evangeline gave him her nickname. This was perhaps the easiest time he had making in friend in a long time. As the girl continued to answer his question, particularly about what region she was from he could tell that something was bothering her a bit. Before he could question her any further a grey haired woman approached introducing herself as professor Solaria. Fallow could not believe it, well mostly the fact that even though she had grey hair she looked fairly young in age. Without further though he followed the professor and the other prospective trainers inside to receive their starting gear.

The first trainer to approach was a trainer who was named John-Davis Porter. From his appearance Fallow gathered he was a rather tough individual. He wore a rather clean outfit, a long black-sleeve shirt, and a pair of pants that matched his jacket that matched it perfectly. His hair was jet black and was kept fairly short but still had a somewhat shagginess to it. The expression on the boy's face was rather serious as well. Fallow kept watch on the boy as he received his starter Pinplup and all of the needed gear to start his travel. Overall from his interactions vocally with the professor Fallow surmised that this person was not very people oriented, but in the end it probably wouldn't make too much of a difference.

The next trainer up was Evangeline. Fallow watched her interaction with the professor, and it wasn't surprising that it was a lot more pleasant than the last. The girl put on the same smile she had previously while receiving her Pichu and gear. After receiving her pokemon however she seemed to speak to it. This puzzled Fallow a bit because it wasn't in the usual sense, she seemed to completely understand the pokemon's words, that or she was really good at reading the body language and tone of the pokemon's voice. As she walked out of the lab Fallow dismissed his thoughts of her, knowing he would have a chance to ask her eventually.

Now Fallow instead placed his focus on the third trainer. This trainer seemed at least upon first glace to be a rather nice person. She wore short green shorts, a black t-shirt that stopped a few inches above her navel, and a matching color jacket. Not only that but it matched her gloves shoes and headband. Her entire outfit coordinated perfectly and also did a good job at accenting her dirty blonde hair and somewhat innocent face. The girl then quickly chose her pokemon, the fire type charmander, and received her gear.

The professor then looked onto the crowd of remaining trainers. Including Fallow there were now seven trainers left to receive pokemon. "Alright who's next? Piplup, Charmander, and Pichu have already been chosen" called the professor a smile on her face.
"I'll go" stated Fallow quickly. "I want to pick while I still have a few options. Or at least it will make my method of choosing a bit more random." The boy shot the professor an embarrassed smile with his last sentence. "Oh, I'm sorry I almost forgot to introduce myself. My name is Fallow Walker from Mercury city, with my hometown being in Hoenn." With the pleasantries out of the way Fallow took a coin out of his pocket. He flipped it three times, twice it landing on heads, and once on tails. "Okay it looks like I choose to pokeball farthest to the left, with charmander gone now that makes it Treecko" Fallow then slowly walked over and picked the pokeball up from its spot and released the pokemon from the ball. In a flash of white light a small green reptile pokemon, green in color stood roughly knee height next to Fallow. The trainer gave the pokemon a quick once over and was overall satisfied with his random choice. It also reassured him that his starter was one from his original birthplace which may give him a small advantage raising wise.

@Kay11190: Fallow has recieved his Trainer ID, Pokedex, Five Pokeballs, a gym badge case, and his Starter Treecko. You can go ahead and head to Route 1.

Professor Janice Solaria

Professor Solaria smiled at Fallow. "nice to meet you Fallow, very interesting name you've got there, I also hope you've enjoyed living here in Celestia, Mercury City is a great place isn't it?". She watched as Fallow flipped a coin three times and then said he wanted Treecko and called the Pokemon out of his Pokeball. "Great choice Fallow" she smiled more finding it ironic that when he chose randomly he had chosen the starter from his home region.

"just let me give you what I gave the others and you can be on your way, I'm sure you can catch up to your new friend on Route 1." Professor Solaria spoke remembering when she arrived she had seen Fallow talking to Evangeline. Turing away for a minute she grabbed the items and turned back handing him his trainer ID, Pokedex, and five Pokeballs. "you can also choose from the gym badge cases, I'm sure you'll find a color you like" she smiled at him. "and good luck, have fun and stay safe on your Journey"

Professor Solaria looked back at the remaining six teens. "alright, who's next, there are only six Pokemon left and six of you"

Chapter 1 Part 2

The last two people called up to get there Pokémon came outlooking very happy. Asper was still nervous, real nervous about this. Hissurroundings seemed to be amplified by a million. He finally worked up somecourage by thinking about all that he studied had came to this and that hecan't back off now. The escort called him in and Asper got up rather shakilybefore entering the lab. Once he got in, however, he was not so shaky and notso scared. The place looked just like a study room on steroids. It had mostlybooks and few computers, though the computers had big machines attached to it.He was finally lead over to the professor. The professor looked nice but Aspercouldn't take his chances. This was it, this was the moment of truth. If hefailed this he would fail life and there was only this encounter between himand the professor that would determine his success or his failure at his lifeahead. He had to be brave and show and his knowledge about Pokémon. All his knowledge seemed to be suddenlydistant now.

What was it that healsPokémon by 20 hp again? A Potion, Super potion, or maybe it was an Oran berry? What's happening to me?

Now he was like a solider without a weapon, in other words defenseless. With no way to counter a test or any courage he was going to look like a completefool in just a few minutes time. Professor Soloria started to talk him but Asper was too nervousto hear what was being said. All he cared about now was not looking stupidwhich in his mind wasn't working. He tried to introduce himself in as much of aI'm not stupid sort of way,

"Hello My name is Asper Dylan, I may not look like it by Iactually know a lot about Pokémon." He said thinking it just made things asawkward as it can get.

J.D. Porter - Route 1
393.gif
258.gif

J.D. continued to walk quietly along the road, and then realized he had to name his new Pokemon, the Mudkip he caught just minutes ago. He released the Mudkip, and let Mudkip socialize with Vatten.

"Hmm.. what to name you," J.D. thought out loud, staring intensely at the Mudkip, who was playing with Vatten, forming a bond between the Pokemon.

" Well, you too are a Water type, and Vatten is already taken so... Water in Finnish is vesi, if I am correct (OOC: Which I am), so I will call you Vesi," J.D. said to Vesi. Vesi nodded, and J.D. continued walking, with Vatten and Vesi following behind.

J.D. watched as the two Pokemon bonded, playing with each other, engaging in little, playful shoving matches and having short races. J.D. was pleased at how his Pokemon bonded, and was surprised at it as well. J.D. noticed behind him the girl from the lab who was drawing in a sketchbook, and she was handling a Emolga, and catching the Pokemon with relative efficiency. J.D. made a note to himself that the others in the lab with him were not to be underestimated. J.D. kept walking, with his two Pokemon in tow. J.D. decided to return them, seeing as how he could move along faster without waiting for them. With his Pokemon safely inside their Pokeballs, J.D. continued towards Mercury City. J.D. was relaxed now, as opposed to when he was in school or at his old home. J.D. tried to forget about his parents, but the emotions and scars never go away. J.D. had to wipe his face off with his sleeve to hold back his tears, as memories of the abuse and pain he lived with filled his brain. Eventually, he had enough. J.D. ran off the path and laid down face first into the ground, trying to erase the memories that J.D. had hoped to remove during this Journey. There was J.D., maybe an hour in and already tormented by his demons.

OOC: Just a note. In the RP right now it's between 7 and 9 in the morning. Route 1 takes about 12 hours to travel so the first four to leave will get to Mercury City between 7-8pm the rest of you will get there between 8-9 pm. There will be a special event on Route 1 that will happen no matter where you are at a certain time on the first day

This RP is designed to not be very fast, so just take your time, though I do want to get the starters out of the way soon

Professor Janice Solaria

Professor Solaria smiled at the boy that came up to her next. He looked like he was nervous and it showed when he spoke "Hello My name is Asper Dylan, I may not look like it by Iactually know a lot about Pokémon."

"it's nice to meet you Asper, no need to be nervous. There's no test or anything" she smiled softly and led Asper over to the table.

"I have a few things to give you. Your Trainer ID" she smiled handing it to him. "a Pokedex and five pokeballs" she handed the said items to him. "Now, all you have to do is choose your starter, Piplup, Charmander, Treecko, and Pichu have already been chosen. That leaves Eevee, Tyrouge, Pidove, Gothita, Axew, and Sewaddle" she pointed to each Pokeball as she said the Pokemon's name.

"just choose which one you want and then select a gym badge case of your choice, you should get to the next city by nightfall" she smiled turning to the other kids wanting to get things moving.

"while Asper chooses his starter who wants to get their pokedex and other items?"

Chapter 1 Part 3.

Asper was sorelieved to hear that there was no test and that he didn't have to proveanything to her. Asper took a closer look at the Pokémon and wanted to pick thestrongest on left. After about five minutes of calculation; Asper requested forPidove. Upon receiving his Pokémon, the first thought that occurred to him was,

In order to get stronger I need more Pokémon.

Asper dug aroundin his pack for a Town map his father gave him before leaving. He finallyfished it out and decided to head for Route 1. It wasn't on the actual map partbut in a note his father had attached, which, according to him, was home toweak wild Pokémon and trainers making it the perfect place to start training. Asperwas no longer nervous but excited! He was finally starting his journey and hispersonal quest of hunting down those badges.

About aquarter mile into the Route was where the Pokémon really started coming out. Itlooked like a mix of an open field with the tall forest trees scattered everywhere.Since Pidove was a flying type Pokémon Asper was trying to target either a bug,or a grass type Pokémon. He didn't find any bug types but found many grasstypes though they appeared at the worst timing possible. One time a Pansageappeared, but with his buddys. Finally about three quarters of a mile in wardAsper spotted a lone Bulbasaur in the middle of a clearing. It was perfect! No terraindisadvantages, no extra Pokémon to worry about, and best of all, he had the brains to catch it.

"Are youready Pidove?" Asper whispered before throwing Pidoves ball in front of Bulbasaurtrapping his only means of escape.

"Pidove Blowit towards the right side against that tree!" Asper commanded.

The tinybird thrust it wings up and down and up and down and suddenly what looked tosmall to be a tornado, but to powerful to be a dust devil, scooped up the tiny dinosaur like Pokémon andas was thrust into a tree.

TheBulbasaur looked weakened but not enough the battle had to go on but Bulbasaurwas escaping!

Game on! Asper thought.

"Pidove flyoverhead and search for that Bulbasaur and report back his location!" Aspercommanded before hurtling into the woods. Dodging branches and thorns, Aspersprinted after what he thought was the right direction. About two minutes laterAsper could see Pidove circling overhead about a hundred yards to his right.Asper lunged in the direction of the bird and found disaster. There wasn't justone Bulbasaur anymore but Five! Five Bulbasaur looking at me with a murderousgaze. Asper knew what to do in a one on one situation but not one on five!

"Hey you!"

Asper couldhear the call of a middle aged man coming. He had a tan T-shirt and hairy arms,is beard and mustache as wild as the forests and his navy blue shorts torn invarious places.

"Look outthese things are dangerous." He informed him.

Thanks captain obvious. Thought Asper.

"Luxray Doyour thing!" the man called releasing the black lion like Pokémon.

"I'massuming you wanted to catch one?" The man asked.

"Yeah why?"Asper replied.

"Cause I'mhere to help but not do this for you. Conentrate on a single Bulbasaur, while Ihold off the rest." The man offered his help but didn't even know him whyshould he be trusted? As if reading his mind Asper's mind he said,

"Do you wantmy help or not, make up your mind?"

"Yes." Asperresponded a little hestitant.

"That's morelike it!" The man said winking at Asper.

"Luxray useThundershock to KO only four Bulbasaurs!" The man ordered his strong Pokémon. The Luxray tilted his head up towards the sky making a low hanging thunderstormcloud and with a crack, lightning struck four of the unfortunate Bulbasaurs.

"Pidove useGust on the remaining Bulbasaur to whip him in my direction!" Asper ordered.

Pidove blewBulbasaur straight at Aspers feet. The poor creature was completely helplessand couldn't get up. He threw a Poke Ball and while the ball shook Aspersuddenly felt sad for the poor thing. Being rendered defenseless and then beingenslaved seemed hard for little creatures like them.

Route 1: Part 1

Fallow now stood there in excitement, he had so many plans for this pokemon that he completely forgot the question the professor posed before her chose the pokeball. When he broke his gaze from his newly acquired pokemon the professor looked pleased.

"Just let me give you what I gave the others and you can be on your way, I'm sure you can catch up to your new friend on Route 1." said the prof. It was surprisingly astute of her to pick up on the fact that he had been having a conversation with the girl who left ahead of him. Turing away for a minute she grabbed the items and turned back handing him his trainer ID, Pokedex, and five pokeballs. "You can also choose from the gym badge cases, I'm sure you'll find a color you like" she smiled at him. "And good luck, have fun and stay safe on your Journey"

After thanking the professor and accepting his gear, Fallow quickly grabbed a dark brown badge case and went out the door with the Treecko. The two of them slowly made their way toward route 1, the lovely path that would lead the training back to his new home in the region. He recalled the trek not to be too bad, but then again he had one of his old pokemon with his to speed up the trip. He then looked down upon the small gecko pokemon once again, this time trying to determine the gender. For such a pokemon it was usually hard, but from what Fallow could infer his Treecko was definitely a female. The pokemon looked up at him and didn't seem to be too pleased with the boys constant staring.

"Don't give me that look." rebutted the boy, assuming the worst of what the pokemon could be thinking. "I was only trying to figure out your gender, and I'll have to say you lot don't make it easy to tell the difference." The pokemon still didn't look too amused but simply gave a small shrug of indifference. "Anyway I was trying to figure it out so I could give you a name, since you seem to be pretty serious about even the slightest thing I'm thinking of a pretty powerful name." The boy looked into the air as they walked before snapping his figures excitedly. "How about Shiva?! In an old religion Shiva was seen as the most powerful of the five other gods and is known as the creator, preserver, destroyer, concealer, and revealer." The pokemon again looked up at the trainer, but this time it looked pleased at what the boy had to say, and gave him an affirming nod to the name suggestion. "Well alrighty!" remarked the trainer rather emphatically. "Looks like we will be able to get along after all" Fallow smiled as the two of them had finally made it to the edge of the town and began to embark down route 1.

It wasn't before long that the two of them found themselves at a small clearing roughly an hour into the trail. Fallow laid down in the shade of a nearby tree and gently rested his head against its trunk. His Treecko however took this time to do what looked like shadow boxing; only it was jumping into the air doing front flips as it was hitting something with its tail.

"You know if you want to train instead of taking a break you can always ask me you know?" The Treecko continued its practice ignoring the trainer's remark. With that Fallow simply watched as his pokemon continued its training. Fallow just tried to enjoy as much of the scenery as he could. It was all too beautiful to him, the scent of the trees and flowers, the sounds of nearby bird pokemon chirping. All of it simply relaxed his entire being. With the atmosphere being as perfect as it was Fallow felt himself beginning to doze off before feeling what initially felt like a big rock fall onto his stomach. The pain shot him up so fast that the boy could barely make out what was on him at first. Shaking it off Fallow regained his focus and looked at his stomach to find a monkey like pokemon staring him in his face. The monkey pokemon had a blue tail, big blue ears with what looked like very short blue dreadlocks coming from the fur on its head. Without reaching for his Pokedex Fallow identified the pokemon as a panpour, a water type pokemon, just what he needed to test out the skill of his Treecko, who at this time was staring down the new arrival with the clear intent of battle.

"Looks like someone is fire up" The brown eyed trainer said pushing the water pokemon from his grey shirt onto the ground. The panpour seemed a bit puzzled to why the boy had moved it though. It looked up at the trainer and gave a rather big smile before turning to face the Treecko, whose stare could be felt through the water type.

"Well I guess there is now better time to battle then now." Said the trainer, slightly concerned to whether the wild pokemon would even put up a fight, as it didn't strike him as the combatant type. "Shiva, let's start out with pound since you've been working on it for the last 15 minutes." The Treecko immediately raced forward taking off into the air when it reached several feet from its target. As the grass type began its flip the panpour did a small summersault of its own toward the grass type causing the pound to miss completely. Upon landing the panpour closed the small gap that was between it and the Treecko and unleashed of barrage of scratches to the pokemon's back. The gecko winced in pain as the flurry of swipes continued to come.

"Shiva, try an upward pound!" exclaimed the boy. It may not hit as hard but you will gain some distance" The Treecko took a small breath and jumped up slamming its tail into the monkey's chin. The water type stumbled backwards several steps but didn't seem too flustered. It was still wearing the same smile it had when it stood by Fallow's feet.

Hmmm, this is a strange one. From what I can gather this pokemon is a rather good when it is in a close range. thought the boy as he scratched the back of his head under his dreadlocks. Maybe we can win the battle from long range instead. "Shiva use absorb." Said the boy more coolly than his previous commands. This attack to him was more of a test. From what he could tell, this pokemon went against his initial judgment and was in fact a fighter. The Treecko obeying its owner put its hands together palms facing the panpour and began to focus. Before long small green orbs formed a bubble the size of a baseball and began to float toward the gecko. As the orb of energy just about reached the Treecko it popped, and the grass type was then hit by a stream of water.

" Well looks like it's time to take a risk. Hopefully you know this egg move." Said the boy with a sigh. This panpour was proving to be quite witty for its overall happy and cheerful demeanor. "Try using leaf storm Shiva." The grass type pokemon gave a small smirk as if it had been waiting for this command from the start. The pokemon then stood upside down on its hands and began to spin around. The force of the spin generated a small gust that was then populated by leaves that shot from the pokemon's tail. The gust of air then carried the leaves toward the monkey each blade hitting with a decent amount of force. The water type pokemon now stood a bit dazed from the attack trying to regain its composure, something that Fallow was not going to have.

"Capture time." Stated the boy reaching for one of his new pokeballs Professor Solaria had given him. He tossed the ball at the wild pokemon and watched as it was enveloped in a red light. The pokeball shook all twice before locking closed. It was a critical capture, something Fallow didn't expect for the first catch of his new journey. Fallow looked down on his Treecko who stood by the pokeball clearly proud of their accomplishment. Walking over the pile of leaves Fallow picked up the pokeball and clipped it to his belt.

Rafael saw as the grey haired professor arrived with a strong looking Swellow by her side. Rafael slightly smiled and looked as almost everybody entered the professors lab. He decided to enter after them hoping not to stick out in any way. He looked and heard the professor talking to one of the males who entered. Rafael smiled slightly at the ground and hoped he didn't seem to obvious and scared looking. He heard the professor say that Pichu, Charmander and Mudkip were already taken. He was about to go and take a Pokemon when another person went and claimed one of the Pokeballs. The boy threw the Pokeball and out came his Pokemon which Rafael didn't really recognize but it did look pretty awesome. He already knew which Pokemon he wanted to choose after she had told them the choices. He had his eyes locked onto a single Pokeball one that contained Sewaddle. Once he sae another Pokemon get taken he was a little nervous. After the boy had left Rafael took this as a chance to go and get his starter. He approached the professor and smiled softly.

"Hello Professor Solaria, my name is Rafael." Was all that I managed to get out of my mouth. He had his eyes locked on the Pokeball that held Sewaddle. He smiles slightly and waits for the professor to give his the Pokeballs and Pokedex so he could finally get started on his journey.

"Finally I get to start my journey" Rafael had said under his breath.

@Rafael p: Rafael has recieved his starter Sewaddle as well as a Pokedex, Five Pokeballs and a gym badge in the color of your choice

Bumping the moveset number. When you get your starter it will only know four moves but as it levels it can learn two moves it gets as it levels before it has to forget a move.

Professor Janice Solaria

Professor Solaria smiled at Rafael as he locked eyes on Sewaddle's Pokeball. "I see you know exactly what you want Rafael." she handed him the Pokedex, Trainer ID, and five Pokeballs before picking Sewaddle's pokeball off the table. "This Pokemon has been in my possession for awhile. Even before I found this region no one was interested in taking him, I'm sure you'll take great care of him" she smiled handing him the Pokeball. "go ahead and choose a gym badge case" she looked away and at the others.

"Who's next?" she asked clapping her hands together.

Evangeline thought for a moment and then grinned. "I know just what to call him" she smiled at Melody and called out her new Pokemon. The Emolga smiled and flew around Evangeline in a circle making her giggle. "Hi there, I'm Evangeline, this is Melody, what do you think of the name Jazz?"

The Emolga stopped flying and tilted his head. "You understand pokemon?"

Evangeline nodded sitting down to rest beneath a tree. "yeah, there was an accident with an Emolga back home when I was younger the shocks made it so I can understand Pokemon"

The Emolga landed on Evangeline's knee. "oh, and I like the name Jazz"

Smiling Evangeline nodded "that's great, I want to try to name my Pokemon after musical terms. Ironically though I'm an artist not a musician" she giggled and pulled out her sketch book. "why don't you guys play for a few minutes, then we can get moving again" she said smiling as she watched Melody climb a tree and then playfully pounce on Jazz. Seeing the two Pokemon playing around gave her inspiration. Pulling out her charcoal pencil she opened to a blank page and watched the Pokemon as she moved the charcoal across the page.

Part 4

After the scene the mystery man finally introduced himself,

"Names Doug by the way. I'll say for a newen like you you'rean excellent battler."

"Thanks Doug, I really appreciate your help."

Asper and Doug shook hands before Doug continued,

"Tell ya what I'm typically just a floater round these partsbut I've been in search of someone to travel the world with. So how bout it?"

"Sure why not? Your Luxray looks really strong, how do youtrain so well?" Asper requested.

"Well if I were you it looks like your Pidove has leveled upone which makes him ready to learn Quick Attack." Doug explained.

"That's impossible a Pokémon can only learn four moves."

"Ya know my friend Ithink it's easier to forget then to learn." Doug hinted.

Asper almost slapped himself in the face for not rememberingthat basic concept.

Pidove did look stronger and Asper could tell it wasstruggling to remember five moves.

"Pidove I want you to forget about Growl and use QuickAttack instead."

His bird looked almost instantly relieved of the burden andlooked stronger too.

"Don't want to forget about them Bulbasaur you put so mucheffort into catching." Doug reminded him.

Asper looked down into the grass to find that Bulbasaur wasstill in the poke ball. He had successfully captured his first Pokémon on thefirst try! This thought really brightened his sprits but reminded himself thatnot ever Pokémon will be caught on the first try. Asper scanned the poke ballwith his pokedex which read that Bulbasaur was a male, and that its ability wasOvergrowth at level 12. It's moves however were unknown and had to be figuredout. Asper pocketed Bulbasaur before asking Pidove,

"Can you see where the next Town or City is and report back to us?"

"Aw he don't have to do that. I know where it is come follow me." Doug told Asper.

Asper agreed not only because it would the save the Pokémon'senergy, but because splitting up would mean no protection given Bulbasaur'smoves were unknown which would mean hundreds of combinations to try and inbattle there was no time for experiments.

"What are ya wainin for come on." Doug called after him.

"Come on Pidove."

Asper and Pidove followed Doug for a little while before besaw footprints that indicated that people had been here before. Doug took hisfinger and laid it in the track before licking it. Asper winced as he thoughtof all the gross stuff in there.

"They're here." Doug said looking with an eagles eye forsome form of movement.

"What's –" Asper wascut off by a hairy hand covering his mouth.

"Show yourself!" Doug ordered. Not but a few seconds laterwhat looked to be seven monks dressed in crème colored robes, their facesshrouded in their hoods.

"What have we here, a middle aged man who has nothing betterto do in life then to just sit on his rocker and hope he doesn't fall off andas for you." The new mans rasping voicewas creepy and now he was pointing at Asper.

"I suggest you get away from this whack job and if yourefuse You'll suffer his same fate." The man warned. To Asper this was an emptythreat.

"He's the whack job?" Asper retorted.

"You just wait; we will have our revenge." With that thegroup left with a swish of their robes, disappearing into thin air. The rasping voice still seemed to echo off thetrees.

"Look at me Asper." Doug ordered but Asper couldn't seem tofind his eyes he felt tired, very tired. Just before laying down for a nap hecould see Doug's wide eyed expression.

His dream was weird, not in a good, a very scary way. Hecould see the evil monks but they looked like a more visible vapor. Asper triedto run but they surrounded him.

"From this day forth you will wear this mark." One monk toldhim pulling up his sleeve to reveal a snake coiling around a spear.

"To symbolize your disobedience." A second monk picked up forthe first.

"You will be shunned and cursed." Continued a third.

"And now." A more clear voice said from directly behind.

He spun around to face him tripped on his foot and fellbackward into a chair were his whole body was chained down his right armextended.

"Now may the branding begin." All the monks said this inunison before letting loose a giant snake made solely from fire. The snakeinched closer and Asper struggled to free himself but no luck. He looked at thething binding him, it was made of steel. He couldn't give up he had to keeptrying.

"Resistance is useless." He heard the same rasping voice inis ear.

The snake was leaning down to strike his out stretched armand when it did. Asper let out a howl of pain as the fire burned his skin andthe mark was being formed. He tried to free himself but the more he moved themore it hurt. His arm was searing with white hot pain and right when he thoughthe was going to die he woke up. He was laying in a straw bed and he could seeDoug over him. Asper's eyes were watering. He turned on his side and saw thatthe mark was actually there! Off impulse he put his arms behind his head to hide the mark.

"You okay?" Doug asked worried.

"Ya I'm fine." Asper lied what he really wanted was to burstout crying.

"You were brave to stand up to them like that." Doug toldhim.

"May I see your right arm?" Doug requested.

"Why my right?" Asper replied off impulse.

"I want to check something." Doug replied now soundingnervous. He had apparently taken the hint.

"Fine if you won't show me your arm, tell me about yourdream then."

This was worse, the dream had been so scary so he took hisright arm out from behind his head and showed the mark to Doug.

"How bad is it?" Asper asked.

"This is the mark you get that shows you have disobeyed ahigher authority and.." Doug stopped mid sentence.

"And." Asper repeated indicated him to go on.

"And you will no longer have the ability to be a true Pokémon Trainer. Of course you may have a Pokémon but no more than one. You will have about two more years with the ability to have more than one Pokémon before it is taken away."

Lillian *Lily* Stone
Chapter 1 - Part II
-Aurora Town-

" The long awaited moment! "

Lily walked slowly with the rest passing along the corridor behind one of the boys. They were led to a room that looked like the professors main research center. The place was filled with diagrams and scribbled notes all over the walls. On their right there was a table on which lied a Pc. However the thing that drew Lily's attention was the pile of Pokedexs, Badge cases and other stuff a starting trainer had to be given. Lily felt a bit nostalgic thinking of the day she started her first journey…she had felt as anxious as she was now, the thrill of finding out what pokemon she can choose from, the feeling of getting five empty pokeballs waiting to be a home for some wild pokemon. All of those made Lily as nervous as she could be. The professor went and called for the first one to come and pick his pokemon and before Lily could say anything a boy named…. Walked up to the woman. Professor Solaria ave him his Trainer ID, a Pokedex, some empty pokeballs and his badge case. Then she got to the main point. Lily could her that she had ten pokemon prepared for them and managed to hear every one of them. They had to pick between Piplup, Charmander, Pichu, Treecko, Sewaddle, Pidove, Axew, Eevee, Tyrouge and Gothita.

After hearing all of them Lily started to think what kind of pokemon to pick as her starter. " Hmmm last time I chose a fire starter and it went pretty well…" her mind started to wonder "… but this is a fresh start so I can't go with fire again. Maybe grass? Or water type? ". But as she taught about choosing a water one she heard the boy saying that he wanted Piplup as his starter. Lily really had to think this clear and fast.

Soon a girl named Evangeline took her pick, which was the Pichu. And before Lily finally made her choice another four teenagers went ahead of her and chose their starter. Lily looked at the pokeballs and exhaled relieved. Her pick was still sitting there quietly awaiting her trainer. As the sixth trainer left the professor clapped her hands together and called for the next one.

"That would be me professor! Glad to make your acquaintance. I'm Lillian Stone from the Sinnoh region!" the girl said politely making her way up to the professor.

Casimiro - Aurora Town

With a raised eyebrow, Cas watched Professor Solaria land in front of them, and introduce herself. He had known her from the news and sneak-reading his mother's newspaper during mornings. And well, she was the person who would start every trainer on their adventures. He hung back a little, giving a nod to the other boy named Helix, and followed the group in.

The lab was quite comfy, though Cas didn't really take a good look around. He was more interested in the Pokeballs lined up at a table that the Professor gestured to as she spoke. The choice she presented to them -- Piplup, Charmander, Treecko, Pichu, Eevee, Tyrouge, Pidove, Gothita, Axew, and Sewaddle -- it was one Cas had to think on a bit. As he thought, several of the Pokemon had been picked by the other new trainers in the group. He shrugged. Well, if they picked them, he wasn't interested all that much. Out of all those Pokemon, only the one named Axew popped out to him. Cas remembered that he had a friend in Unova who was a Dragon Pokemon fan, and he had letters upon letters of his obsession. In one of them, Axew was mentioned, and for Cas, that was reason enough to pick that Pokemon.

But just as he was about to walk up to the Professor, another girl introduced herself to Professor Solaria: "That would be me professor! Glad to make your acquaintance. I'm Lillian Stone from the Sinnoh region!" He stepped back, and sighed. It would have to wait until Lillian got her starter before he could actually pick his. Cas hoped that it wasn't going to be Axew, and glanced at the Pokeballs lined up at the table.

J.D. Porter - Route 1
393.gif
258.gif

There was John-David Porter, face down in the ground trying to erase the dark memories of his terrible path that still tormented him nearly every day. J.D. sat up, wiped off his face, and then exhaled. J.D. could feel a slight breeze blowing against his hair, as J.D. stared off into the forest. Ashamed at how he was just sitting there, J.D. brushed off his pants and continued his journey to Mercury City. J.D. was slowly jogging, in order to get there faster, although J.D. would burn out and have to slow down, he thought he was going to arrive sooner than if he walked the whole way. So, J.D. kept slow-jogging for a couple more hours, about two to be exact. J.D. estimated that he was now around nine hours away from Mercury City. J.D. noticed a stray Starly beside the path, and was eyeing up J.D. aggressively, and J.D. grabbed the Pokeball containing Vatten.

" Go, Vatten," J.D. exclaimed, releasing Vatten from its Pokeball.

Vatten scraped the dirt with his foot, and looked upon the Starly, with intentions of battle. The Starly struck first, flying at Vatten. The Starly tackled Vatten, and knocked Vatten to the ground. Vatten got up, and awaited orders.

" Vatten, use pound," J.D. ordered.

Vatten advanced towards the Starly and pounded the bird pokemon, knocking the Starly back. The Starly got back up, and was ready to battle.

" Vatten, use pound once more," J.D. ordered once again.

Vatten fell into the same routine, and once again ran up to the Starly and pounded Starly, delivering a knockout blow. The Starly fell down in defeat, and Vatten was victorious.

Helix's Beginning
The Difficult Choice
"I Choose You"
Inside the house, there were well set up apparatus meant for specific experiments which maybe Professor Solaria was working on. A fascinating wallpaper of mostly all the pokemon that Helix ever read about in his books were set up nicely on the wall and it felt quite comfy inside. There were computers, papers and books everywhere but it wasn't in a total mess. The floor was cherished by a smooth mat surface which was light brown in colour. Some portrait and photos were set up with mostly everyone of each was Professor Solaria with maybe some of his friends.

Helix gazed at the belongings in the house and kept discreet for quite sometime. Although having entered third or forth, he introduced himself, Helix stood by the door inside the house and watched as the others passed him and wandered off to recieve their first pokemon of the region. The other's seemed enthusiastic and excited as they walked in and some were lost in deep thoughts of what pokemon they should start with. Helix knew that it may take a while, so of being generous, he decided to chose his pokemon a bit late and let the others start off their adventure. Helix was excited too but he kept his emotions inside and to fully calm himself, he opened his book from where he let off and started to read.

As he was reading though, he couldn't help hearing Professor Solaria from telling the others that there were ten pokemons starting from Piplup, followed by Charmander, Pichu, Treeko, Pidove, Axew, Tyrogue--and the rest was not clearly heard. The Professor also gave out pokedexes to the trainers, Trainer ID, Gym Badge cases and also five empty pokeballs. The Professor was kind and she gave each and everyone their chosen pokeball and wished them good luck on their journey. She was kind-hearted and her smile proved it.

After four to five trainers had passed Helix on their way out to start their journey, Helix decided to step forward. He had already introduced himself and so to show his manners, he closed his book and approached the kind Professor with ease. He was getting a bit excitement in him now. As he stood infront the Professor, another kid approached and introduced himself. Helix didn't bother though. He presented the Professor a small smile and then made his way up to the pokeball holding table. It stayed up to 5 pokeball. Helix was not the one to decide for he once read in a book, "Pokemon Legends", that a pokemon choses his trainer and so with that concept in mind he just stood there infront of the table and glanced at the remaining pokeballs. It was all the same but each one holds one faith and one destiny for Helix. This was harder than he thought. Which one should he chose?

After a good fifty seconds, Helix reached out his hands and placed it above the pokeballs. He had an idea of chosing the right one and knowing so, he moved his hands slowly above each and every remaining pokeballs. Slowly and gently his hand arrived at the middle pokeball which seemingly shook itself. This was a bit surprising. Helix then placed his hand on the pokeball and held it in his hands. He had read about a trainer choosing his first pokemon in such a way and Helix surely was satisfied with his decision.

"I choose you!" he said quietly as he kept on admiring the pokeball in his right hand "We start this journey together then". Although said, Helix had no idea what pokemon habitated inside the pokeball. He turned back to Professor Solaria, trying to indicate that he had made his choice but clearly was clueless.

Lauren Linda Noir
Route 1

Lauren was standing at the exit of Aurora Town. She already had her first Pokémon, a Charmander, a Pokédex, and all the rest that she needed to be a Trainer. Her journey had just begun. She turned to take one last look at the town before walking away.

This is it... she thought, my first step. I'm a trainer now. There's no stopping me.

She smirked, taking her first steps into Route 1. She continued to walk for some minutes then stopped. She felt a bit lonely, and sighed. Then, she grabbed the Pokéball from her belt and smiled at it.

"Charmander, come out!" she exclaimed.

Out of the ball came a Charmander, which was considerably larger than the average Charmander. The lizard pokémon looked curious, and poked Laurie's leg.

"Hey, there. My name is Laurie." she said, "You look kinda cute. I think I'm gonna call you Curt."

The Charmander looked up at her and smiled, apparently happy with the name. Then it leaped forward and landed in Laurie's arms, the girl being forced to catch him so that he wouldn't get hurt. Curt then climbed up Laurie and hung from the girl's shoulders, to her chagrin. Once both of them were, in a way, comfortable, Laurie continued to walk, eager to make her way to the next city.

@Pokemonmaster_draco: Congrats Helix has recieved his starter Tyrogue. Just get the Pokedex, Trainer ID, and five Pokeballs from the professor and choose a gym badge case in the color of your choice and you can move on.

Also Everyone, if you haven't heard a storm knocked out the power for millions in the Eastern Part of the United states, that's were I live, so until I get my power back (i'm at the hospital for the power and AC right now) Mick Fizz is gonna take over.

NOTE: We will not reach Mercury City until I get back I have something planned for Route 1.

also to make time go, two rl weeks is one day in the rp, since you only have to post minimum once a week but that will officially start once I get my power back.

Professor Janice Solaria

Professor Solaria smiled at the girl that came up to her. "Nice to meet you Lillian, you wouldn't be Steven and Cynthia's daughter by chance?" she asked before handing Lillian the Pokedex, Trainer ID, and five Pokeballs. "go ahead and choose your starter dear and a gym badge case, wouldn't want to fall too far behind." she smiled and then turned to a boy holding a Pokeball.

"That would be Tyrogue, excellent choice for a starter" Professor Solaria smiled "just let me give you a few more things then you can go" she said turning to the desk then turning back to Helix. "here's the Pokedex, your Trainer ID, and five Pokeballs. You can take a gym badge case from the end of the table then go after the others."

She then turned to the last two teens, "alright who next there are two left" she smiled happily. She had the feeling she had forgotten to tell everyone something but one. she still couldn't remember what it was, and two most of the teens had already left.

Tekina

Tekina payed no attention to the people, for two reasons:

1-She couldn't take her mind off of her TRUE reason for being here.

2-One of the auras from a pokemon distracted her. Inside was an Eevee, shy but sweet. Tekina could tell that an Eevee would be a normal trainer's last choice, since most considered it the weakest starter back home, and would bully anyone who chose it.

I do not care! The poor thing is lonely and sad-it thinks its trainer will hate it. Well, Eevee is wrong. I will choose her.

Tekina walked up the the table and said "Hello professor. I would like to choose Eevee. I can tell it is sad, thinking the trainer who chooses it will dislike it, and release it as soon as they get their next pokemon. I am not one of them. If I get teased, does it matter? No, so, I would like Eevee."

Tekina picked up the pokeball, saw Eevee staring at her with aura, and smiled softly. "Or should I say, Maruchi. That shall be her nickname." Tekina then felt a different aura from Maruchi-an aura that told the young girl that the Eevee was smiling.

But this didn't distract her from her thoughts.

I must find it. Soon.

After the thought rushed through her head, Tekina looked up at the professor, hoping for a yes so she could both continue her mission, and get to know Maruchi better.

And start her journey.
