Story:

Earthquakes in Chile, destruction in Haiti, war in Iraq, the world seems to be falling apart. Always in life, increasingly tragic stories overshadow the less. You may see the occasional "Missing Child or Person" on the sidebar of CNN or AOL, but it seems to always be covered by something on a higher scale. You may have seen these reports, people disappearing at a higher rate all over the world, but always underneath some petty quarrel between countries or a freak accident. But like the rest of the world, you pay little or no attention.

Your story begins on Earth, not the Pokemon world, as a human, in our world. You have had no previous interest in Pokemon, but you know about it. Some of your friends play it, you could've played when you were younger, and some of the information may have rubbed off onto you. However, this will all soon change. One day, a strange package arrives at your house, addressed to you. Somewhat hesitantly, you pick up the package and open it, only to find its only contents are a strange looking box and letter.

Is your life bland? Do you yearn for adventure? Do you wish that you could have powers beyond belief? All you need is our new device, the G.T.P.! It will give you an amazing adventure that will be guaranteed to astound you. This is completely free, with no strings attached! All you have to do is follow the included instruction sheet, and your adventure will begin!

After rereading the letter, looking for fine print to say something about money, but there is nothing except for a golden "G" at the bottom. You decide that it's a good deal, and you go to read the instruction sheet. It explains that all you have to do is open G.T.P., and the rest will explain itself. You decide to check it out, to see if it's worth it. G.T.P. is an unmarked black box, with a single edge jutting out. The edge is obviously where you open it from. When you open G.T.P.,
the world goes black.

When you wake up, judging by the rocking and the smell of the sea, you infer that you are on a ship. However, it appears that you are in a crate as well, but you can't tell from the inside; it's way too dark. You hear voices yelling outside, barely audible over the rumble of the waves .With a crack of thunder, and you feel the crate start sliding. You start to fall, and slam into the sea. Lucky for you, because you are in a wooden crate, you float. But unfortunately for you, you are slammed into the side of the crate and fall unconscious...

Washed up on a nearby beach, you awake cold, wet, and with lungs filled with water, but you are alive. You try and shake off the feelings, noticing the broken remains of crate surrounding you, as well as a forest on the beach edge. However, that is not all you notice. You catch a glimpse of your hand, and sheepishly note it's not yours. As a matter of fact, you feel different all around! Quickly, you rush over to the waves lapping against, the shore, hoping to see that nothing is wrong. You couldn't be more wrong. You've been turned into a Pokemon!


One word passes through your mind, "Veilstone." What the hell does that mean? You shake off the thought. Never mind that now, you need to find out what happened!

Instincts will be your enemy, choices effect those around you as you pass through the world. What will you do?

Plot:

Pokemon Transformation (PTR for short) is a game where you, a human, are turned into a Pokemon. This is a very free-thinking game, so you can choose your own destiny. You can become a trainer's Pokemon and take on the Elite Four, you can be wild, hell, you can even form a colony of Pokemon! You can team up, or go solo! You can follow sidequests (see further down), or make your own! The options are only as limited as your imagination (and some basic rules).

Location Shinnoh

You have come ashore on a beach directly to the West of Floraoma town. Almost immediately after the beach ends, a forest begins. Pass through here to reach Floraoma Town.

Rules:

1. Follow the forums rules, both the RP and general forum ones.

2. No spamming. Any post where spam is detected is to be ignored.

3. No flaming. All flaming posts should be ignored, but if it gets into a flame war, I will report whoever was in it to mods.

4. This is not a discussion thread, so don't post unless it's for sign-ups, reservations, or if you have already been accepted.

5. You must be a Pokemon that can travel on land. That way you can access all of Sinnoh.

6. You have to be a first form Pokemon. (Exceptions being Pokemon with "Baby" forms. Ex. You are able to be Clefairy or Clefa; Roselia or Budew; etc.)

7. You can't be a legendary.

8. The Types and Species allowed are as followed...
As of now, We will not put a max on the amount of fire, water, grass, (etc.) types; but if too many people want to be the same type, we will place a limit on it, and take the best SUs.

9. If you haven't joined yet, PM me if you have questions instead of asking them in this thread.

10. You can reserve a spot as long as the spot reserve at the top says open. The other condition is that you have to post your SU in the same post as the one you reserved your spot in.

11. Your History, Personality, and Appearance must have at least two paragraphs each. You can bypass this rule if you give a good enough description, but this is at Yashi and my decision.

12: Posting is pretty much a free-for-all, but there are two things that you can't do:
a. Double Post
b. have a two-person postathon (meaning that you and another person post back to back without other people getting a chance to post constantly) (Conversational wise is OK, as long as it doesn't get out of hand, however, I would prefer you plan via the OOC thread or PM instead.

13. NPCs you create are your responsibility, and others must ask for your permission to control them.

14. In the OOC, Poison is only allowed in dart form ^^

Sidequests

As you go through your adventures in Sinnoh, me and Yashi will throw random scenarios at you (as well as each other). We have dubbed these "side-quests".

In addition to side-story, background, and answers (to what happened) these optional posts offer extra levels, items, and sometimes even extra moves for your character.
These will either be PMed to you, or posted in the OOC thread depending on what is happening.

However, be mindful in your decisions... You never know who you might end up helping.

Other Stuff:
We will use HG/SS Movesets and levels for evolving and learning moves.
Once you are accepted, a moveset will be given to you.

Leveling up will be based on what you are doing in the RP. For example, you won't gain experience if you just lay around for most of the game and let other people do stuff for you. You can gain experience in many ways, some being fighting, building a habitat/living space, entering contests, general survival, etc. I'll tell you in the OOC thread when you level up, but you don't have to post it in this thread. Finding Items are up to you, but TMs/Hms can only be given by me or Yashi

Breeding is up to you. As for moves and evolving, you'll go by the real Pokemon's patterns. You can also learn the same TMs and breed with the same types (don't go into details about the breeding >.>').

You can understand yourself and other Pokemon, as well as humans; however, only other Pokemon can understand you. I wanted to make that clear, just so nobody makes a mistake.

"What are you doing Loman?" asked Tentomon impatiently,
"...playing World of Warcraft, and apparently I'm being attacked - hence why I'm frantically hammering away at the keys." Loman replied, fixed onto his laptop screen.
"Can't you just pause it? We have more important matters to attend to." Tentomon said crossing his arms.
"We've been over this - it's online, meaning real time play. So no pausing. Anyway, what are these 'more important matters'?" Loman said, keeping his eyes glued to the game.
"Maybe like where these Digimon keep coming from?"
"Nah. My job is to defeat, collect and send them to DATS hq, not get all investigatey..."
"That's not even a word..." Tentomon sighed,
"Oh yes! I beat the thing," Loman closed his laptop, "think I'll go get something to eat."
"You're still hungry?" Tentomon asked, presumably raising a non-existant eyebrow, "But you ate about twenty minutes ago."
"I know, anyway aren't you going to have some aswell?" Loman said as he opened his bedroom door.
"Yea okay, I'm in I suppose." Tentomon said as he followed suit.

Loman found a full chicken baguette after hunting through the fridge. He halfed it with Tentomon and was about to eat when his mobile began to ring. He rummaged through his pocket and held the pone to his ear, "Hello?"
"Loman, this is HQ," said a grown male voice, "we have a situation with a rogue Digimon causing havoc in eastern LA."
"Yea?" Loman asked inquisitively. There was a brief pause, before he gasped, "Oh wait! I'm in LA aren't I!" Tentomon slapped one of his arms against his head and let out a strained sigh. Loman could hear the man on the phone loose his patience,
"Yes, Loman! You are in LA! Dammit!"
"Hey cool the beans, I've not been living here that long y'know..." Loman protested.
"Look just see to it okay?" With that, the man hung up. Loman slid his phone into his pocket again, walked to the front door and donned his jacket, "C'mon Tentomon. We've got another one."
"But what about lunch?" Tentomon asked, holding up the two halfs of the baguette.
"Give it here, we'll eat it on the way."

Loman observed his surrondings once he reached his destination. There was a lot of smoke and a number of fires. The firefighters were on the case, but numerous fire's kept appearing. The whole street he and Tentomon was in was near deserted, except from the occasional citizen screaming or running through.
"We should be careful Loman," Tentomon said, "we don't know what kind of Digimon has caused all this."
"Hmm... well it's got fire based attacks..." Loman said while analysing the situation. Tentomon stopped and stared at him,
"Nice, genious." he said sarcastically.
"Pyro Sphere!!" something shouted. Loman tured around to see a red dinosaur like creature burst out of nowhere and fire a ball of flames at him. He immidiately dived to the side and dodged the attack.
"Oh my! It's a Guilmon! A virus Digimon with a seriously bad temperment!" Tentomon said as he flew over to where Loman was, "Super Shocker!!"
Guilmon was caught off guard and was hit by the jolt of electricity. It growled in pain, before charging right at Tentomon,
"Rock Breaker!" Guilmon slammed one of it's clawed hands right into Tentomon, causing him to carrer into a nearby parked car. Tentomon groaned and emerged from the wreck,
"Super Shocker!!" Once more, Tentomon fired a violent jolt of electricity to Guilmon. The attack struck, sending volts through Guilmon's body. The Digimon disintergrated, then transformed into a Digi-egg.
"Nice work Tentomon!" Loman said to his partner. He pulled out his Digi-egg storer and pointed it at the egg. It transformed into data, and was absorbed by the device.
Loman looked at the small screen - he now had three Digi-eggs stored in it.
Tentomon hovvered over to Loman, "You should really send those eggs back to the HQ," he said,
"You're right. I'll need to send them back via my Laptop back home." Loman put his storer back into his inside pocket, "Let's go back and have some lunch!"
Tentomon perked up and began to fly off, "I'm already there!"

Pokemon You Want To Be: Cyndaquil

Type: Fire

Personality: Jake is a energetic person, to describe him simply. He is always ready for a challenge, sometimes too much so. In fact, he often sets up challenges with himself just to see if he can do them. This has lead to him getting hurt occasionally. He always tries to make the best out of any situation, no matter how awful. He is very social, but is slow to become friends with anyone. His mind is always racing with thoughts, and he has wild ideas that are sometimes impossible.

One of Jake's major flaws is that he has a flaring temper. It can take him hours to get out of bad moods. However, he tries extremely hard to keep his temper under control. He is constantly energized, and rarely sits down for a break. Jake would sleep in all day if he could, but is by no means lazy. The reason for sleeping, as he calls it, is, "getting ready for the next challenge".

Appearance (Human): Jake is 4'9, and has light blond hair. He has a slight tan, but it never seems to get darker, no matter how much he stays outside. His hair is short, but very wild. His skin is very rough because of all his activities. He is very muscular, but slightly flabby. He is often taunted about his big ears, but he gave up caring a long time ago. His eyes are a dark brown, and his eyebrows are somewhere between thin and bushy.

His favorite clothes to wear are a dark blue T-shirt with a pair of dragons on the back biting each other's tails, forming an infinity sign. On the front on where his heart is, there is a dragon head with sapphire eyes. As for pants, he likes to wear black, baggy ones. They have 8 pockets each, most of which he never uses. He sometimes wears a hat that's black, but has splotches of dark blue on it.

Appearence (Pokemon): When Jake becomes a Cyndaquil, he gets all of Cyndaquils basic features. Long snout, short legs and arms, yellow under-body and dark green over-body, squinty eyes, etc. His most distinct feature is a dark-yellow splotch on his underbelly that looks like the letter M. One of the red marks on his back is a bright pink, which he get's very annoyed about.

History: Jake was originally born in Britain, but moved to California at the age of 3. By that time he had developed a British accent, much to the humor of his peers. They never tired of trying to make him say things "like an American". He was very nervous and quite awkward at being social in the beginning of his school career, but gradually became more social as the years went on. He began football when he was 6, and never stopped from there.

Jake's first friend was a guy named Matt, who happened to be on the same football team as him. They met on the day of tryouts, and were inseparable ever since. However, in 6th grade, Matt moved away. Jake went into a minor depression, but quickly snapped out of it, knowing that if he didn't, he wouldn't be able to continue being on the football team. He later met Nick and Alice, who were going out with each other at the time. He accidentally interrupted them kissing, but now they look back at it and laugh.

Jake got his first car 7 months after he turned 16. It was an old rust heap, but he fixed it up and made it work like new. As a joke, everyone still called it "the rust heap". On his first run with it, he was dared to drive at full speed around a tight turn on a beach. He tried it, but flipped over and landed on it's side. He made it out, but had broken his arm and a few ribs in the process. He was sent to the hospital immediately, and then had to stay home recovering for a month.

In this month, he was tired of doing nothing. So when the package came, he was overjoyed that he had something to do. He examined the box, noted that there was nothing suspicious about it, and opened it. Then the world went black...

The ferry pulled up to port at Littleroot and the sailors breathed a sigh of relief. They had been eyeing the dark clouds overhead for the last several hours, and they feared a storm. Now that they had docked the fear was gone, thankfully, and the ship's passengers could disembark safely. Fyora did so gladly, her legs unsteady after three days at sea. She hoped never to have to travel by ship again; it certainly wasn't her favorite way to get from place to place. But that was alright. She had reached Littleroot, Razor's Pokeball was clutched in her hand, and the excitement in the air was so thick she could practically taste it.

The clouds overhead rumbled angrily. It appeared that there would indeed be rain. That was alright. Fyora's long black jacket was perfect for protecting her against the weather, and she could already see Professor Birch's lab ahead of her. It wasn't a particularly impressive building, after living around Claire's gym for a good portion of her lifetime it would be difficult for anything but the best to impress her. She did have to respect the Professor's work; researching Pokemon was a never ending task, as more just seemed to constantly pop up.

A single drop of water landed on Fyora's head. She sighed, thinking her training would likely begin in the rain. It could be worse, but she'd been hoping for neutral weather. Now she just wanted to get inside before the downpour started. She doubled her pace and managed to reach the lab before the first crack of thunder. The door was simple, wooden, and surprisingly heavy when she tried to open it. 'To keep lab Pokemon in and thieves out?' she mused as she slipped inside.

Fyora was greeted by whirring machines and people in lab coats milling about. Here and there an assistant Pokemon worked diligently. But none of this was what she was looking for. She only had to glance about to see Professor Birch at the back of the room. Taken by excitement yet again, she hurried over to him.

"Are you the second, then?" Birch asked enthusiastically. Fyora nodded, suddenly somewhat shy. The Professor motioned for her to come closer. "Ah, good. This is Shear, and he just got his first Pokemon. You're Fyora Roschel, right?" She nodded again. Grim lines appeared on either side of Birch's mouth, but he didn't drop his enthusiastic front. "Then you'll already have your first."

With a third nod Fyora pressed the front button on her Pokeball, calling Razor out. The young male Sneasel landed on all fours and glanced around quickly, assessing the situation. When he decided there was no threat he jumped clear to Fyora's shoulder, where he perched and glared at everyone else. "Be nice," she hissed. But Birch just laughed. "Ornery little fellow, isn't he? It doesn't look as though he'd let me too close, he's feeling anxious. See the way the tips of his claws are protruding from his paws? But from what I've seen he isn't fond of other people, but he's perfectly healthy. He'll be a suitable partner."

All that said, he gave her five Pokeballs, which she shrunk down and attached to the clasps on the inside of her jacket. "Thank you sir," she said, hints of her shyness still showing through. "Shall I stay here with… ehm… Shear?"

Birch shrugged. "You may if you wish, but I don't require that you stay here and wait. If I did that, you could be waiting forever for stragglers, and we can't have that."

Fyora shifted her weight from foot to foot, glancing at Shear. "Might you want to go together for a bit?" she asked. Razor grumbled at the notion, but he knew he had no say, so he just eyed the Scyther cautiously.

[Watch yourself, man. I'll cut you in half if you hurt my girl,] he warned. Razor had always had the issue of talking like he was ten times larger. Not only was Scyther bigger, but it also had a type advantage against him. But Razor didn't care. All he could see was the large scythes at the end of the Pokemon's forearms, and he was highly overprotective of his girl.

Name/Nickname: Chris Eaton

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Personality:
Stubborn, short-tempered, occasionally confrontational, determined, outspoken, strong-willed and impulsive; just a few words to describe Chris.

Due to his time spent on various sports teams and such, Chris likes to have a voice in most situations, especially when it comes to strategies and plays. However, he has what you would call a "short fuse". Too often, when under stress or just annoyed, he can snap at people, leading to some avoidable confrontations.

Chris's greatest strength is that he is considerate and thoughtful as he always thinks about other people's needs. However, this is also one of his greatest weaknesses, since worrying about his friends tends to put him in danger.

Even when he was human, Chris has loved the rain. Some mixture of the smells, water, and sight always set a serine mood. As a Pikachu, this feeling is amplified even more.

Chris has always had a strange battle, one with his confidence. At times, when he's confident, he can be a great leader, unafraid of anything, and feeling as though he can take on the world. But, if Chris, even if by chance, messes up so that it hurts others, he becomes noticeably more timid ad less vocal, now unsure of his own abilities. It takes him accomplishing something to get it back.


Chris can also be very competitive, especially when it comes to sports and challenges, and often goes into dangerous or somewhat foolhardy situations. Even against a close friend, Chris will give it his all so he can win. When someone beats him, he'll try to play it off, acting as if it doesn't matter, but in his mind, he will furiously go over for hours what could've gone wrong.


Although, Chris generally gets along well with other people, but is not the best at making friends. He usually lets people approach him instead of introducing himself. He doesn't mind people, as long as they treat him well. But, if someone messes up something he was working hard on or gets in his way, he can have a very 'sharp tongue' and say along of things that will sting the person to the core, especially if he knows the person well. However, when he makes good friends they become very close. However, he has difficulty remembering people's faces and names to begin with; and if Chris does forget, he becomes extremely shy.

Determination: A key aspect of Chris mentality and personality. Although he has some of the traits and spouts of a lazy, inconsiderate, unmotivated teenager, given a challenge, he refuses to back down, trying until he has no more to give. Even if exhausted and tired, he gives it until he practically can't move. He never surrenders, no matter how bad things seem, and rather give it all he's got and loose than nothing at all.

However, despite all of this, he feels something is missing.

Appearance(Human): When he was human, Chris was approximately 6'0", an average size for his age. He was not skinny, but had more of an "athletic" build. He had medium-short, brown-black hair that spiked up facing forward, as if he had just gotten out of bed. Front tips of his hair were bleached blonde by the sun (although, many accused it of being dyed). His eyes changed constantly, ranging from pale silver to a glistening deep blue depending on the light outside; during dawn and dusk, his eyes were silver, and every other time, were a deep blue.

In everyday life, Chris would always be wearing a black and red, zipped tracksuit top with a yellow shirt underneath, black and yellow sneakers, and a pair of cargo shorts or jeans. The only times when the ordinary was not, being either when he was on the soccer field, or when it was over 80 degrees, when it's considered near suicidal to wear such clothes. Around Chris' neck (but under the collar of the tracksuit) lies a pair of blue, retro style earphones. Sound proof and adjustable, Chris always wears this device around his neck, even if it isn't attached to a music player. On the outside of each individual speaker, there is a white Japanese character meaning "Rain", the company logo. Recently, the headphones have earned him the creative nickname both on his team and in life, "Phones".

Appearance (Pokemon): Now that he is a Pikachu, Chris has short, yellow fur with brown markings covering his back and parts of his lightning bolt shaped tail. He also has black-tipped, pointy ears and red circles on his cheeks. However, some of the patterns on his new body are strange. For example, where back meets the yellow, it does so in a zigzag shape. But much like as when he was a human, he fur on the top of his head between his ears and on his forehead is always spiked up facing forwards. Ironically, the tips of his fur (on the front of his head) and black/brown, the opposite of what it was before; instead of having black-brown hair and yellow on the tips, he has yellow "hair" and black-brown on the ends of the front. Also, he still retains his blue/silver eyes just like when he was a human. To his relief, Chris still has the same blue headphones wrapped around his neck, although to his disappointment, his iPod is nowhere to be found. He has no idea if the phones still work, but they do block out some noises, that is, if he can keep them on his new ears.

History: Ordinary. That is how one would describe Chris' life. Sure, he was an athlete, an artist, student; (all appearing interesting) but as with some people in this world, a sense of emptiness fills his heart, like so much more could be achieved and so much more could happen. He's another grain in the sand, another rock in the galaxy. Even though everyone has something that sets them apart from others (Chris not excluded), these traits and skills are miniscule when placed in the grand scheme. A counselor or psychiatrist or some other name for the same damn thing would contribute these feelings to his move to the south or to his decision to change. However, they could not be more wrong. He came from an ordinary suburb and now lives in one, where nothing ever happens. Everything is just ordinary. Not a big city, not a rural town, ordinary. These are the emotions and wonders of being a human, something Chris would soon loose.


On earth, Chris was just an average high school student, born and raised in the United States of America near the capital of the country. There, he grew up with his parents along with a sister, and lived most of his life in a small city. His dad, being a soccer coach and previous player, taught Chris everything he knew about soccer at a young age, instantly hooking him onto the sport. Throughout this time, Chris led a somewhat normal life. He was popular, but not alarmingly so, preferring to hang out with a few close friends instead of a large group. He was also studious, borderline to the point where he would be labeled off as a "nerd". However, athletics still was what he enjoyed most, and often was named as "Too Competitive" when playing sports. Other than that, Chris pushed through normality throughout this phase in his life.

However, it was also this time; Chris could be labeled off as a "crybaby". He never tried to move forward, avoided all conflict, never cared for a voice in everything, and winced at the slightest chance of pain (excluding soccer). This all changed during school one day. What one could call his "best" friends was being picked on during school. Gathering up all of his courage, he ran over and attempted to stand up to the bullies, only to be laughed at. Everyone knew he would just tear up and run away. It was at that moment, Chris realized what a fool and an disgrace he had been. Clenching his fists and charging at the bullies, he vowed to change, never to cry or wimp out again, and leading him to become the person he is today.

At the age of 14, his father, getting a new job, moved the family and Chris South, where He was forced to enroll in a new High School. While at first things were tough, it gave him the chance to experience a major change, as well as give him the chance to change. While exciting at first, now, 3 years later, and his life is back to normality, although, his personality is for the better.

Pokémon You Want To Be: Pikachu(!)

Piplup:
She is bit tall for a typical piplup, at 1'07". Her eyes are a light blue, matching Gwen's original eye color. Her head feathers are a slightly lighter blue than her eyes, and hacked at various lengths with (Gwen was surprised to find upon waking) three hair clips—red, green, and yellow—still scattered throughout. Above her beak, between Gwen's eyes, is a patch of light-blue feathers, and the rest of her face is covered in a pure white, except for a few dark blue feathers surrounding her eyes, much like the eye-liner she once religiously applied.

Gwen's tail feathers are long, with white, gray, and light blue feathers mixed in randomly among the dark blue. The dark blue "bib" on her chest matches the feathers across her head in dark blue color, and lays flat above her pure-white "buttons". Her wings are the same light blue as the patch between her eyes, merging with the feathers along the underside of her body and covering the remainder of her body down to her feet, which are the same deep gold as her beak.

Human:
As a human, Gwen was not thin, but not fat either. In fact, there were days when she wasn't sure how to feel about her body. If put in the right clothes she would look gorgeous, with her long legs and large breasts being properly utilized, but if the clothes weren't flattering, Gwen would spend the day tugging down on her shirt and crossing her arms to cover her slightly noticeable muffin-top. As she grew older, Gwen became better at drawing attention to her face. Her makeup was typically very pretty, including heavy doses of eye-liner around her light blue eyes, mascara, varying colors of eye-shadow, blush, and a good amount of cover up/concealer to get rid of blemishes most people would never even notice. Her lips were cute to be blunt, with "pouty" being her default look.

Gwen had always been the tallest kid in the class, and before her transformation, stood at 5'7 without shoes. Her hair went through some dramatic changes in her life, but in the end was back to her natural hair color of light brown, with chunky, honey blond highlights throughout. It was cut in layers, starting at the middle of her ears, and ending at her collarbone, and the ends of the layers were hacked to give them a choppy look. She typically wore rainbow hair clips throughout her hair, to give a messy appearance and keep the long bangs out of her face. Gwen's nails (finger and toe) were always painted with varying colors and sparkles, but whether or not they look good depends on how much time she had in the week to do them. Her fashion sense is lacking, though it has gotten better lately with the help of her sister. Her favorite things to wear were sundresses, and sleeveless shirts/undershirts with jeans or jean shorts and flip flops.

When Gwen was still young, her parents separated, leaving she and her sister, Jessie, to live with their grandmother. Their grandmother was kind, but very strict and many times Gwen and Jessie would only have each other to play with, leading to a very close bond between them. While they loved their grandmother very much, her constant nagging of the two and berating of their parents made the duo cynical in their humor, and Gwen's older age (4 years older than Jessie) made her privy to more mature things long before Jessie, who would hear them from Gwen the moment she arrived home from school. In this way, the two matured together, and their humor was for some time very inappropriate for their age. This was stressful on Jessie in some ways, and Gwen later felt rather bad about it. While Gwen was able to mature easily and deal with things kids typically dealt with at her age, Jessie was becoming farther and farther separated from the "good" kids because of her advanced knowledge of the world. In the end, Jessie took the route of class clown to gain attention, and while it worked in gaining Jessie friends and popularity, Gwen always felt she could of done something to help Jessie avoid it. Gwen on the other hand took the path of "nerd." She was a good girl in school, who was known for her rather good humor. She made friends through her kindness, though she never reached the status of cool that her sister boasted. In high school, Gwen joined drama and did volunteer work like a good girl, hoping to get into a good college and help her grandmother pay for the college with lots of scholarships. Despite their social-class differences in school, Gwen and Jessie were still very close, and practically telepathic in the jokes they made and things they said, something that irritated their grandmother to a certain extent, as she disliked not being able to understand their conversations.

When Gwen was young, she and her sister, like everyone else, played pokemon religiously. They memorized the names, played the games, watched the show, and even owned some of the cards. Of course, after a while the cards became uncool and downright boring, and you could only beat the games so many times before they became dull. The television show began to fade from their Saturday morning routines, and as more and more pokemon were created, their limited knowledge of pokemon games fell to the wayside. For Gwen, school was much more important, and Jessie was too caught up in the current trends at school to linger on something as silly as pokemon. Gwen still stayed interested in anime and manga though, and many times quoted pokemon as being what initially drug her into the genre.

Gwen took up a lot of clubs, including soccer her freshman year, and drama. She was a good singer, and joined the choir, and even made Chamber Choir. In her junior year, she was pleasantly surprised to find she loved the sport of Field Hockey, and between that and the plays she participated in, she managed to get a job at the local Outback Steakhouse as a busser. It was the hardest she'd ever worked in her life, but she knew that if she played her cards right, her life would turn out good, and she would never have to abandon her children like her parents had left she and Jessie. They didn't talk much about it, but Gwen knew it bothered Jessie just as much as it did her. One of the happiest days of her life was when Gwen was promoted from busser to Takeaway Server. She loved the new job, and did her best to serve every customer well, often working herself to death to please everyone.

In her final years of high school, Gwen began having epic arguments with her grandmother, often revolving around her treatment of Jessie, who simply wanted to wear skirts and makeup to school, and Gwen's "attitude" towards her future, which Gwen's grandmother was lacking in initiative. There was also the amount of chores their grandmother was giving them, and her constant meddling in their lives, be it friends or schoolwork. Jessie, who wasn't doing particularly well in school thanks to her tomfoolery, was always being chided by their grandmother, and Gwen, who at this point felt she was in the position of mother to her younger sister, would listen to no more of it, and her agitation would often lead to a bad attitude, which would invariably lead to arguments. The arguments hurt Gwen a lot, because she loved her grandmother very much for all she'd done for them, but when Gwen heard she'd been accepted to a college a few days drive away, she praised the Gods. The day she left had been the saddest and happiest day of her life, but once she'd gotten to school, something began to bug Gwen. She'd worked practically her whole life to get here, but it hadn't seen like that big of an adventure at all—in fact, it was downright boring. She longed for something more—something that would be memorable to her for years to come. As she slugged through classes, she began to imagine going on an adventure, sailing the world or walking to somewhere magical, or any of the other amazing things she'd read about in books and seen in anime. It was then the G.T.P. arrived, and Gwen's dreams came true.

Gwen can be moody at times, but is usually really friendly and willing to make friends. She isn't good talking to one person at a time, unless she's really close to them (like Jessie), but she is more than willing to try, if the person doesn't mind lots of awkward pauses. In groups, Gwen is funny and very outgoing, bouncing her words off other's speech and action to make them seem funny too, which gains her many admirers. Gwen is both OCD and scatterbrained, which doesn't work well together on her behalf, and is often written off as being lazy. For example, she will start cleaning a room, being very specific about where each thing goes, and dusting every corner, but get bored/tired halfway through and wander off to do something else, forgetting to come back to the room in the end. Gwen does follow through with things she deems extremely important, including classwork and promises to friends, and will not stop until said important thing is completed. She is a bit cynical about the world, thanks to her parents, but adores cute things, secretly owning a plethora of stuffed animals, including a stuffed Pikachu, and longing to own a pet (her grandmother has always limited it to fish, and a small songbird named Budgie).

Gwen tries very hard not to influence others in a negative way, and often blames herself for things. She blames herself for her sister's incompetence in school, she blames herself for her constant arguments with her grandmother, and she blames herself for her parents having left she and her sister. This transfers over into small things almost constantly, but many people don't realize this, since Gwen has always tried to keep negative emotions to herself, so as not to upset Jessie, or lead her grandmother to think they're unhappy. You will almost never hear Gwen say something sad or depressing—instead she will grow very quiet, unless you are harassing her or a friend, or are obviously in the wrong, in which case Gwen will tear you a new one. Gwen is smart, and good at debating, but she is also funny and doesn't like to be overly mean to people she likes. If you are her friend, she will sometimes make a joke at your expense, but it's all in good fun, and she will usually make it extremely apparent she is just joshin' ya.

Note: This is a post from the Elemental Stones RP by seal. In it, Kelani is a girl who lives in the sky as a member of the "Flying Type" kingdom. They can shift the clouds to make houses and pathways for themselves. Her pokemon is a doduo names Colm and Ionas, and each has a white feather on their forehead, along with different necklaces around their necks. [/pointless explanation] :p

His name was Fraco, and he and his silly spearow had been flying around, acting as if they were better than Kelani and her doduo, since before she could even remember. He'd probably fallen out his momma's womb laughing her name with that stupid sneer on his face. Kelani loathed him!

But the priests at the temple had always listened to her angry complaints with thoughtful faces, following up her enraged "huffs" and "puffs" with slow nods and a speech about understanding others and pitying those who felt pain and hatred were the only ways to gain what one wanted.

Every single time Kelani had gone to the temple to vent her frustrations to the priests, she'd walked away discouraged. In all other matters, she felt she could follow the priests' words as if they were law—notes sung by the mythical birds themselves, woven together into phrases of understanding, and love, and strength. But no, this was definitely the one (and possibly only) area where Kelani felt with all her good sense that the priests had no idea what they were talking about.

Fraco and his nasty little girl spearow—which he'd lovingly named Clio—were always bothering Kelani, Colm and Ionas. They made fun of Colm and Ionas, saying their white feathers made them inferior to other bird pokemon. They made fun of Kelani, saying her golden eyebrows matched the "hideous white feathers" on her pokemon's forehead. They even made fun of Kelani's advanced ability to fly and manipulate clouds, calling her an "old woman" and a "freak" and a "witch."

In classes, when they'd first been learning how to fly with their chosen starters, Fraco had sat behind Kelani and tried to distract her, pulling on her long hair and letting his spearow tug on Colm and Ionas' tail feathers. Clio and Fraco would whisper and chirp in their ears to try and mess Kelani, Ionas and Colm up in class, but they hadn't let it get to them, and in the end the trio were the best fliers in the whole school. So good in fact, that they were graduated early, and allowed to live on their own in a house they'd constructed from the clouds. That'd been a rather happy day for Kelani, since the whole town had come to celebrate—even Fraco and his family. She'd gotten to rub her new home in his face, and eat cake, all at the same time!

But now the jerk was standing here, having just graduated from school a few weeks prior, demanding that he and his precious Clio battle Kelani and Ionas and Colm. Kelani had been halfway to her house with a basket of berries she'd flown down on the doduo to get. It hadn't been a fun trip, thanks to a bunch of beedrill getting annoyed at her presence, and she wasn't much in the mood to pacify Fraco of all people.

"I don't feel much like battling today," she relayed to Fraco, turning back the way she'd been walking. The clouds shifted under her, allowing Ionas, Colm, and herself to walk freely towards her parent's home.

"So the witch is scared she and her amazing freak pokemon are going to loose to me and Clio?" Fraco belted after them in a snotty voice. "Retreating before you even lose huh? Smart choice."

But Kelani and the birds were far from retreating. Kelani had stopped at "witch", while Ionas and Colm had made it a few feet further before hearing "freak pokemon". It was just too much for them, and so all three turned around, eyes blazing, and stomped back over to where Fraco was standing.

Upon seeing their return, Fraco took on a smug look, with the sleek little spearow on his shoulder chirping in a rather cocky manner. Kelani gritted her teeth—there were so many times she had wanted to punch this little brat out.

He was shorter than her, with thick black hair, but just as tan as Kelani from his time in the sun. He wore goggles at all times, since they doubled as his glasses, and his outfit, right now at least, consisted of dark blue pants, a light blue sleeveless shirt, and a white sleeveless shirt beneath it.

Around his neck Fraco wore a thick black string, from which hung a dark brown feather (Kelani always assumed it was from Clio's first molt) and a yellow feather. This showed his preference for Zapdos, the legendary bird of uncontrollable power, and Kelani had always detested him particularly for that. The birds were meant to be worshipped as a triad—their strengths and weaknesses balancing each other out to create controlled beauty and power and foresight. Those who chose only one to live by seemed particularly lost to Kelani.

She said a silent prayer to the three birds now, reaching up to squeeze the three feathers around her neck, asking the legendary trio to give her strength for the battle ahead. Behind her, Colm and Ionas bowed their heads in similar prayers. They'd all stopped in front of Fraco, and when Kelani looked up, his spearow had hopped off his shoulder to land on the clouds in front of him.

"Alright then," Kelani finally said, "if you're so determined to get beat, Ionas and Colm will fight your Clio."

Fraco grinned wide, pumping his fist in an exaggerated motion. Kelani took a deep breath, bringing her arms up slowly. Around them, the clouds shifted, then began to swirl. Fraco wasn't surprised—clouds moved all the time up here, and Kelani was known to be an excellent cloud shifter. The space between them grew wider as Kelani took another deep breath, bringing her arms up in front, palms up towards the sky.

Fraco and Clio's forms were transported upon the clouds about 20 more feet back, and then the shifting stopped. Kelani's arms fell, and then she turned slowly to Ionas and Colm. They chirped softly at her before stepping forward into the newly made arena.

Kelani thought carefully about the situation they were in. Clio couldn't be too strong—level 5 at the most. She'd probably know Peck, Fly, and possibly Leer. Ionas and Colm knew Peck, Fly, and Quick Attack, and they'd had plenty of time to practice with their days not spent full of class-hours. She smiled—this was going to be a cakewalk.

"Let's start!" Fraco yelled across the sky. "Clio! Fly at them, quick!"

The spearow gave a chirp before launching into the air. It was quick—something that surprised Kelani for a moment. She regained composer quickly however.

What he doesn't know, Kelani thought with a laugh, is that Ionas and Colm are the fastest runners these clouds have ever seen.

And indeed, without any instruction from Kelani, the doduo dodged the tiny spearow easily, running forward, backwards, and even side to side across the clouds in rapid sprints.

Clio screeched in frustration, reaching her talons out in a desperate attempt to clamp onto something, but Ionas and Colm were always out of her reach. Kelani could see Fraco getting visibly upset across the field.

"That's enough," she called out to Ionas and Colm.

They skidded to a halt, Ionas' chain clinking against his chest. She could see a breeze rustling their white feathers for a long moment. Kelani's hand came up to hold down the three feathers on her own chest, that were tickling her slightly in the breeze. It all seemed to last an eternity, but in truth it was only a moment, and then Kelani was rapidly calling out orders.

"Ionas, shift over and start Flying. Colm—while he's concentrating, I want you to focus on using a Quick Attack to knock that stupid spearow into submission! Aim for its wings!"

"Stupid spearow?!" Fraco fumed, his arms coming down to form fists by his sides.

Above her head, Kelani heard Clio practically hiss.

"Clio! Start working on hitting those two freaks with your Peck attack! Guard your gorgeous wings from them too!"

Kelani rolled her eyes.

Meanwhile, Ionas and Colm had heard Kelani's orders, cocking their heads to the side before replying with a swift nod. They skipped forward a few steps, deftly dodging another attempted attack by Clio, before making a full U-turn and sprinting full force towards Kelani. It seemed they were about to hit her, and even Fraco almost called out in warning, then all at once they were airborne, wiggling into the air with an impossible force, and circling around to Fly towards Clio.

In the air, Kelani could see Com trying to judge when to start his Quick Attack. Once started, the doduo would reach a high speed, and it wouldn't be good to miss Clio and sail right by her. His eyes squinted in concentration.

"Alley-oop!" Fraco cried out of the blue.

Before Kelani could even attempt to figure out what that particular phrase meant, she heard Colm give out a sharp cry. Clio had dived down at a blinding speed, before coming up under Colm and whipping upward to slice at his neck with a Peck. Colm's neck bent downward in reflex, attempting to stop the pain. Ionas was still focusing on Flying, but Kelani could see he was upset.

"Yessss!" Fraco cried, fist pumping the air.

Ionas and Colm were the fastest runners up here in the clouds, but nowhere near the fastest flyers. Their body shape had always put them at a disadvantage to the other birds, and Kelani had been hoping that the mid-air Quick Attack would give them the extra boost of speed they'd need to defeat Clio.

"C'mon guys!" she called up to them. "The strength of the legendary triad is with us! Don't let that cut stop you—I've seen you take worse damage from Prennah!"

Prennah was Kelani's younger sister's pidgey, whom Ionas and Colm often play-sparred with. The mixed message of encouragement seemed to work, and Colm slowly stretched out his head as Ionas dodged another attack from Clio. Kelani could see they need to end this soon, or get it back on the cloud-ground. It seemed the latter wasn't going to happen anytime soon, so it was up to the Quick Attack to pull them through.

"Alright Colm! Just like I said before—aim for Clio's wings with a Quick Attack!"

"Clio!" Fraco shouted, obviously unsure what to say as his pokemon was currently using its only two attacks. "Keep at it! You got em once, do it one more time and they'll be out!"

But Kelani could see now that Colm had his eyes focused on Clio. No matter where she moved, Colm's eyes followed her.

Clio flew at them again, gaining speed as she approached, and Colm took the opportunity. Kelani had thought Clio was going fast, but when the Quick Attack went into action, the large round body of Ionas and Colm became a white and brown blur. The bodies met in a tangling of brown, black, and white. She heard a high pitch whine, and a loud screech. Her breath caught in her throat for one long moment.

On the other side of the field, Fraco was in stunned disbelief. He leaned in carefully, adjusting his goggles against his face, searching for his precious pokemon.

And from the sky fell Clio, screaming dramatically, several feathers missing from her left wing. Above her floated Ionas and Colm, who chirped happily before crying out a rousing call.

"Do!" Colm called defiantly. The vibrations knocked his necklace about, and the breeze caught his feather, blowing it around his face.

"Duo!" Ionas followed up, with just as much gusto, his eyes blurred slightly by the white joyfully shifting around his face in the wind.

They stay floating for a minute more, watching Fraco rush forward and tend to his fallen friend, before circling twice and landing deftly next to Kelani. She patted them each, before walking forward to confront Fraco. He was kneeling down over Clio, telling her it would all be okay. Kelani sighed loudly, causing him to turn his head and look at her in a rather accusatory manner.

"This isn't over," he hissed, picking up Clio in his arms and turning away from Kelani.

But he was dead wrong. As far as Kelani was concerned, this was as over as it could possibly be. She figured he was too stubborn to realize this, but figured she had nothing to lose by informing him of the fact. With Ionas and Colm chirping encouragement behind her, she grabbed Fraco's shoulder and whipped him about. His face was part devastation, part disbelief, but he said nothing as she spoke.

"Don't ever," Kelani said, in a manner suggesting she knew he wasn't going to listen, but she was going to say it anyway and he better listen if he knew what was good for him, "bug me, Ionas, or Colm, or call my pokemon freaks again, or I'll kick your butt like Ionas and Colm just kicked Clio's butt."

And with that, Kelani turned, and walked away to pick up her basket of berries and head to her parent's home, all the while praising Ionas and Colm and telling them how amazing they'd been in battle, and singing thanks into the sky for their victory.
