Play on DeSmuME anyway.
Playing anything beyond HG/SS on No$GBA is pretty much impossible and playing HG/SS requires HUGE amount of patience and it might become unbearable.
1) You need codes for removing anti-piracy lock
2) You need to save frequently as the games are lagging whenever possible
3) You need to restart after each lag and load your previous save

Everything is no longer the case for DeSmuME.
