Krystal had been running for a while. Beserker had been falling behind, and she and Scar had to slow down so that he could keep up. It was irritating having to slow down for him, and they were delayed enough already. While in the city, Krystal had suggested that they find a pokemon that could just teleport them there, but Scar had quickly dismissed the idea, saying that "Teleporters are unreliable. we will go on foot." Ridiculous. Men and their refusal to just ask for help, and accept the ideas of a woman. But no, they had to be so high and mighty, they'll just walk. Krystal panted. Despite having to slow down, it was still a workout. The air had taken a colder turn. Fall was underway, winter was soon coming. The crisp air stung her lungs, and made small clouds as she breathed. The cold wasn't uncomfortable for her, being a fire type. Ice and snow didn't bother her, and she loved how clean the snow could look. And her enemies often had a harder time coping with the cold as well, giving her the advantage.

After hours of running, Beserker spoke up. "Hold up you two! Your going too... fast damn it!." He panted for a moment, breathing hard. "Didn't you hear me?"

Scar replied with chill in his voice. "We have slowed down too many times for you already. If you do not hurry up, you will be left behind. I feel that our presence at the torturehouse will definitely be needed." Silently, Krystal agreed with Scar. Maybe they should just leave him behind, they would certainly get there faster. If what Auron had said was true, that there was something going on there, the faster they got there the better.

Krystal missed what they said next, but Scar increased his pace, so Krystal did the same. Beserker swore again behind them, but also picked up his pace as best he could, chugging after them like a freight train. It was another hour before they could see the torture house. They slowed their pace as they came over a hill that overlooked the torture house from a distance. There was some thick woods on the other side of the field where many Ancients were converging, at least a hundred, if not more. Even with the great numbers of troops, whoever was on the other side appeared to be holding their own. An only one group of pokemon could hold their own against so many ancients. Just as Krystal was thinking it, Scar voiced her thoughts, spitting out the words as if they were a curse, "Gold Tribe."

As they surveyed the battle below them, Beserker came over the hill, panting and groaning. Scar and Ignitus payed him no attention, until he groaned and said, "I think I'm gonna..." And indeed he did. Krystal gingerly stepped away from him as he puked his lunch out onto the grass. As soon as Beserker finished emptying his lunch onto the field, Krystal spoke up. "Its been quite a while since I fought anybody decent. Lets go show Gold Tribe that we are in charge here." Scar nodded, grinning evilly, while Beserker grimaced, no doubt still exhausted from running all the way. Nevertheless, all three charged into the fray, prepared to show Gold Tribe who was boss.

Near Torturehouse

As Zane fought a few more Ancients, he was interrupted by the screaming coming from Sword and Shield.

"Vigil! Help me!" He yelled. Zane turned to see Sword and Shield being holstered into the air by three Aerodactyl and an Archeops. Zane moved quickly, using a nearby Bastiodon as leverage to knock himself into the air, and jumped right on the back of one of the Aerodactyl. He charged his body and used a Thunder Wave on the Aerodactyl, the Ancient falling out of the air and onto the ground. The others still attempted to take Sword and Shield. Zane jumped from the falling Ancient onto the Archeops, using a Night Slash on its face. The Pokemon yelled, and loosened his grip on the Snorlax. The other two Aerodactyls, unable to keep holding onto the weighty Snorlax, let him go and dropped him back onto the ground with a giant thud. The two remaining Pokemon went now for Zane, who prepared to meet their claws with a Swords Dance. Zane could feel his blades sharpen, and met the two attacks of the Pokemon with a full on Iron Head. Fused with the new attack boost of the Swords Dance, the Pokemon fell out of the sky.

Zane went to check on Sword and Shield briefly, helping him up quickly, before again be surrounded by Ancients.

"Ready for Round 2?" He asked Sword and Shield, and dived forward to fight more Pokemon. He was weary, but for some reason, he wasn't feeling it at much at the heat of the moment. Perhaps it was the Swords Dance he used, or perhaps it was something much deeper. His pride.

A nearby Kabutops managed a Slash on Zane's back, who was busy fighting with a Rampardos. Screaming in pain for a moment, Zane knocked back the Rampardos, and turned to use a Night Slash on the Kabutops. He could still feel the tingle of the Slash on his back, but pressed on, trying his best to ignore the pain.

Near Torturehouse (Silver Tribe)

The three Sentinels were on a hillside close by the torturehouse, indeed to the suspicions of Auron and the Sentinels, the Gold Tribe was there.

"Its been quite a while since I fought anybody decent. Lets go show Gold Tribe that we are in charge here."

Scar nodded, then saw as what he believed another Gold Tribe member entered the torturehouse.

"Heads up. I saw a Pokemon enter the torturehouse. We don't know how many are in there. Beserker, you deal with the ones causing a commotion near the forest. Ignitus and I will head into the torturehouse and see what we can find."

Still with an upset stomach, Beserker nodded, but seemed to get rejuvenated from the thought of fighting Gold Tribe members again.

"It's been a while!" Beserker yelled, heading down the hill to meet them, as Scar and Ignitus headed the other way.

(OOC In terms of strength, A Sentinel is about the same strength as a Gold Tribe member [being previous members of the Gold Tribe], but a Sentinel is probably a bit stronger. Greiger and Nakuzami should try to hurry up to avoid prolonged fights with them as well.)

Sainan Chuiseishu Arashi & Penance Malum
Calamity & Defender - Gold Tribe Members
Torturehouse Interior
Ancient Freedom

As Sainan ran down the seemingly endless corridors, he heard a loud screeching sound from the area where he had just battled the Armaldo and Carracosta. Why would there be screeching? The Armaldo should still be paralyzed, and if the Carracosta had managed to get to his feet, what reason would it have to screech? Unless it was alerting more Ancients . . .

. . . That was when Penance rounded the corner and nearly ran into Sainan. "Defender?" Sainan questioned as he took a step back, "What are you doing in here? Did something go wrong?"

"Oh, well, plans sometimes tend to fail, and sometimes they tend to go disastrously wrong." Penance chuckled uneasily, "Let's just say that we need to free the others now! Vigil and Sword and Shield are holding off the Ancients, but they don't have much time. You didn't happen to come across the prison already, did you?" Penance asked hopefully.

Sainan sighed, "Sadly, not yet, but I think we're getting close." With that, Sainan turned around and began to run once more. He glanced back every few moments to make sure that Penance was keeping up, occasionally slowing down to allow the Golduck to keep pace.

The two Pokemon rounded another corner and came upon a small room at the end of the corridor. At a glance the room would seem unimportant, but upon closer inspection there was a large group of guards, and behind the guards was "The key." Sainan glanced at Penance quickly. "Let's take out the guards, grab the key, and free the prisoners."

Penance nodded eagerly, "You got it!" he whispered. Looking among the guards Penance noticed a Kabutops as he readied a Water Pulse in his hands. "At the count of three let's take them by suprise. One . . . two . . . now!" Penance threw his Water Pulse at the Kabutops and grabbed an Omastar with a Confusion attack, throwing it against the wall.

"Jiyū no tame ni! Meiyo no tame ni! Kin-zoku no tame no!*" Sainan yelled as he rushed the Ancients. There were nine in total; one of each species. Sainan leaped into the air and launched a Psycho Cut, sending three of the Pokemon stumbling backwards. However, they quickly recovered and rushed Sainan and Penance.

The Rampardos ran at them both with a Head Smash, the Kabutops attacked Penance with a Giga Drain and the Archeops flew in towards Sainan with Acrobatics. Sainan launched a Thunder attack, knocking the Archeops out of the air, but as he did so the Rampardos focused its attention on Sainan, ramming him with Head Smash with incredible force, sending the Absol flying down the corridor.

Penance staggered back from the powerful Giga Drain, but he quickly recovered and let out a Screech at the Ancients. While some reeled back from the noise, the Carracosta managed to dodge the attack before it ran right at Penance, opening its jaws wide and Crunching down hard on Penance's arm. The Golduck cried out and struck out with psychic energy, throwing his foe against the wall.

The other Ancients had managed to recover from his Screech and about half of the force headed his direction while the other half headed toward Sainan. The Kabutops readied its scythes and struck out with a Slash attack, managing to draw blood from Penance's arm. The Carracosta rolled up into a ball and began to roll right at Penance, but the Golduck managed to use Confusion to redirect the Ancient at a stone wall. The Omastar opened its mouth as white spikes flew out and began to slam into Penance. The Golduck could only hold up his arms defensively as the spikes embedded themselves into his skin. As soon as the Spike Cannon ended Penance grabbed the Omastar with another Confusion and flung him down the passage.

Sainan stood once more and ran back down the corridor, readying his claws as the Cradily, Aerodactyl, Rampardos, Bastiodon, and Archeops all rushed towards him. The Armaldo was out of sight, but after a moment Sainan looked up and noticed something rather odd that should have been painfully obvious. The Armaldo had its claws dug into the ceiling, holding itself up right above Penance as it readied an attack.

"Defender, look up and defend yourself!" Sainan yelled as he slashed at the five Ancients before him with Night Slash. They were stunned for less than a second before they all rushed Sainan and bombarded him with a flurry of attacks. Sainan managed to leap out of the carnage, but not before he received a few gashes in various places. He had leaped towards the wall, before he turned, placed his feet on the wall and used the momentum from his initial jump to launch himself over the Ancients. As he did so, he loosed a wicked blast of Thunder.

Penance looked up as he saw Sainan high up in the air, unleashing a huge blast of lightning in different directions. There was no doubt that if that blast hit him he would be out like a light. The Golduck barely dodged a bolt that nearly hit him, and as he fell to the ground he saw the Ancients get shocked the powerful attack.

All the Ancients, save the Cradily, cried out as the Thunder attack struck them and Penance could only watch, awestruck, as each Ancient fell to the floor with a loud thud, leaving only the Cradily, Rampardos, and Bastiodon standing. The Cradily was the only one out of the three that looked like it could still survive a few more attacks. Grinning, Penance formed two Water Pulses in each hand and threw them at the Rampardos and the Bastiodon. That was the last straw for the two as they soon joined their allies on the ground, leaving only the Cradily standing.

"Time to end this," Sainan growled as he ran at the Cradily, his claws poised to shred the Pokemon to bits with the extra power from the Swords Dances that the Absol had previously performed. He leaped at the Cradily with a Night Slash while Penance held it in place with a Confusion. Sainan slashed at the Cradily wildly, and in a moment it was sprawled acrossed the ground, along with the other eight Ancients.

"Now that that's over," Sainan walked over and retrieved the key. A moment later, the Absol and Golduck had disappeared down the hall in search of the prison cells. It only took a few more moments before the noise - and the smell - of the prisoners became apparent. Sainan sniffed the air for a moment before he began to lead Penance down a series of passages.

In no time at all, the two were entering an area filled with prison cells. After a brief moment to take in the scene, Sainan was running around and unlocking cells. It wasn't long before they were all open, and while Sainan was incredibly glad that he had just freed all these prisoners, he was extremely disappointed . . . his father was not among them. He cursed at himself silently; he should not have gotten his hope up.

"Defender, we have to go rejoin the others," Sainan stated as the freed Pokemon congregated in the corridor. "Everyone, we have to get going, immediately. It shouldn't be long before the rest of the Silver Tribe hears about our little jailbreak." Sainan sounded deadly serious as he addressed the others. He glanced at Penance once more, and in a flash all of the Pokemon were weaving through the halls, right out of the torturehouse and into daylight.

That's when Sainan noticed the sentinels. "Crap," the Absol muttered, a lack of better things to say.

((OOC: "For freedom! For honor! For the Gold Tribe!*" Or . . . at least, that's what it's supposed to be. Blame Google Translate, lol.))

Gladius Clipeum, Gold Tribe

Vigil helped him get down from the flying Ancients. "Thanks!" He fell with a loud thud! which comically caused some nearby ancients to stagger. Gladius immediately stood up and used a Wild Charge again on some Ancients. The wave seemed endless, but he could feel that the end is near. Very near. Gladius estimated that it has been almost an hour since Calamity entered the torture house, and Defender followed. They would have located the prisoners by now.

"Ready for Round two?" Vigil asked. Gladius simply roared in reply.

Gladius exhausted his Wild Charge, and begun charging up another Surf from the still-erupting geyser. He sent another flood towards the Ancients, did another Earthquake. A good number fell. Vigil had a Swords Dance boost, Gladius saw. If he is not that tired, he could of course have used Belly Drum which would bring him to his maximum power. But, of course, he couldn't. He would become more vulnerable to attacks and easier to fall. If there is no more hope, then I would probably will.

However, a strong sense of foreboding was felt by him. He Smacked Down a Carracosta, and used its body to swing around to clear the area around him, to give him some time to rest. He relaxed a bit, as the nearest Ancient is still a few yards away from him. That's when he looked up. And what he saw is not the most welcoming sight ever.

Alex Ares the Aggron was coming their way. He was better known by his title, "Berserker." And he is a Sentinel. Now, things got serious.

Replicus "Speculum" Decendas
Gold Tribe

Replicus paced about in his small, cramped up cell. His shoulder still hurt after numerous attempts to break the door down, but he hadn't given up hope. He had been pretty discouraged about the fact that he'd nearly given up before. He had to trust his Gold Tribe instincts, get outta here, and win this war.

Unfortunately for Replicus though, his plans were running out fast. The room was pretty small, it had only one door which Replicus couldn't open no matter what. There were no windows. The Ditto had thought about some kind of ventilator or shaft in the room, but unfortunately that was locked as well. There was no way out, until somebody from the outside managed to break in here, fight through hordes of Ancients, get the key, and then try to free them. This all was, of course, a suicide mission, and either a really brave or really stupid Pokemon would come here with anything less than an army.

But completing such impossible, suicide missions was the Gold Tribe's specialty. Replicus hoped that the Gold Tribe had actually infiltrated the torturehouse and embarked on the suicide mission. But he couldn't entirely leave his escape to chance, so he started formulating plans again, thinking about every little detail of the room. Maybe he could use something to break out? He closed his eyes, lost in thought...

He jumped when he heard some Pokemon outside chatter loudly. How did they get out of their cells? Then, almost as if somebody wanted to answer his question, a key clicked inside the lock of his own cell. Replicus pushed the door open, and saw an Absol opening all the doors to the cells, and the prisoners rejoicing, savoring their new found freedom.

"What are the odds?" Replicus thought, smiling to himself. He was pretty glad he had been rescued and not killed. He was pretty sure the Pokemon who had come to rescue him were actually Pokemon from the Gold Tribe, so when all Pokemon rushed out of the torturehouse, he tried to converse with the Absol. He seemed to have a companion called Defender, which seemed a lot like a title of a Gold Tribe member.

"Hey, you from the Gold Tribe by any chance? My name's Replicus Decendas, title Speculum." Replicus said, but then he noticed that the Pokemon's attention was directed at something else. Replicus turned around to see the three sentinels racing towards them. One of them, an Aggron, also called Berserker raced towards the group of Pokemon.

"Crap" The Absol beside him muttered. Replicus chuckled, and said, "Just what I wanted to say..." before he raced towards the Sentinel, bracing himself for combat.

Torturehouse

As General Hazone and Kirvir spoke, noise was suddenly being heard outside. Hazone leaned over closer to the door as he spoke.

"Did you hear that? Something is happening outside." Hazone's voice was questioning, yet also hopeful. Something, hopefully something good, was attracting the attention of the Ancients.

The noise grew closer and closer, until he heard the unlocking of the metal of the torturehouses. People were being freed! Another second later, their cell door swung open. Hazone was amazed. He looked upon their rescuers. One was an Absol with blue eye. He was a bit taller than most other Absols. The other, a Golduck with a bracelet on his left wrist, made with various colored rocks. But it wasn't those appearances that mystified Hazone the most. It is the other ornament that they wore. Even in the darkness of the torturehouse, the ornaments shone brightly. The Absol carried it around his neck, the Golduck on his bicep. There was no mistaking it.

These were members of the Gold Tribe.

Hazone eagerly left his cell followed by Kirvir as the two freed other cells, and led the prisoners out. Among the other prisoners was a Ditto and a Gallade. Those were two he did not know. The other dozen or so were soldiers of the Alpha Alliance that fought under him in Gold City.

He heard the Ditto speak to the Absol, acknowledging that he too was in the Gold Tribe. Hazone could not believe at that point that there were so many still around. It was quite a welcoming sight.

As they made their way out of the torturehouse, the group stopped. Hazone placed a hand in his face because of the bright light, something he had not seen in a very long time now. As his eyes adjusted, though, he saw around the large number of Ancients present. But there were three figures around that made things worse. Three Pokemon all Alpha Alliance soldiers were familiar with. One of them headed down the opposite side of the hill, where two other Pokemon were fighting off hoardes of Ancients. He couldn't tell who they were, but Hazone guessed they were also Gold Tribe members. There were two now, however, that headed towards them. One was a Mienshao named Scar. Another was a Flareon named Ignitus. Both were Sentinels.

The Ancients were slowly gathering around the opening of the torturehouse as well. Hazone spoke to the Absol and the Golduck.

"I suggest we find a way around them. The escapees of the torturehouse are in no condition to fight an army of Ancients, much less two Sentinels! We have to get out of here, noble Gold Tribe members."

*****************************************************************

Near Torturehouse

As Zane took a short rest from fighting the Ancients, the nearest one a few yards away, he noticed Gladius looking towards a hill. Zane looked as well to see what caught his attention.

"Damn." Zane said under his breathe. He knew the Pokemon. Long ago, before the war between the Gold and Silver Tribe, he was once known as "Armoid" and was one of the veteran Gold Tribe members. He was also once Zane's friend. Now, he is known as Beserker, and is a Sentinel.

"What luck! Two Gold Tribe members in one day!" Beserker yelled as he made his way down the hill. He motioned for the Ancients to stand back. The Ancients complied and moved to form a circle encircling Zane, Gladius, and Beserker.

"Give me a challenge!" He yelled. From the corner of his eye, Zane saw the escapees of the torturehouse. He whispered to Gladius.

"Sword and Shield, we have to find a way out of here. We're in no condition to fight him right now. Besides, it looks like Calamity and Defender pulled through. We have to get out of here and get everyone back to Liberty Town."

As Zane said this, Beserker was seen preparing an attack. Zane looked to the left and right. Ancients were all across. Zane assumed a stance.

"We have to think of something." Zane said to Gladius. A second later, Beserker fire a Flash Cannon right at the two Gold Tribe members.

Gladius Clipeum

Berserker, once known as Armoid, finally reached the area where Gladius and Vigil stood ground. Gladius remembered a few battles where he worked with Armoid and, from experience, he knew that Berserker is a formidable foe. As the Aggron approached them, Gladius saw him snicker. He was confident of battling the two of them and has complete reason to do so. He is, from Gladius' estimate, three times stronger than Gladius and Vigil combined.

"What luck! Two Gold Tribe members in one day!" Berserker shouted. The remaining Ancients formed an unbreakable circle around the combatants. "Give me a challenge!" Berserker circled, waiting for the Gold Tribe members to make the first move.

"Sword and Shield, we have to find a way out of here. We're in no condition to fight him right now. Besides, it looks like Calamity and Defender pulled through. We have to get out of here and get everyone back to Liberty Town," Vigil whispered. Gladius looked to where Vigil pointed. Gladius saw Calamity and Defender, along with General Hazone, a Breloom, Replicus, and other members. He also saw that, despite Replicus' look, all were too fatigued to battle any more, let alone a Silver Tribe member. Gladius knew that Vigil is right. They need to end it quickly, or escape. However...

BOOM!

Gladius was hit by a Flash Cannon by the Berserker. He fell down. "Aargh!" He tried standing up, but he was too much tired to do it. He let himself lie down, feeling the soft mud, resting. If he was not that tired, he could mount a challenge, but the skirmish with the Ancients took the toll out of him. In an instant, he had a flashback of his mother, his father, the dead Gold Tribe members, and Vigil still fighting alongside him. Gladius tried to stand up once again and, though still shaky on the knees, managed to stand up.

"There is no way we can escape unscathed Vigil. We still need to mount a fight. Freedom is just beyond Berserker and these Ancients. We need to continue fighting," Gladius determinedly said. "I will still fight." Gladius is ready to give his all. He used Belly Drum, draining most of his remaining energy. "It is time to get serious," Gladius roared, and charged at Berserker. That seemed reckless, but that is all Gladius can do. Attack, and think later.

Penance Malum

Penance could barely keep in his joy as they ran through the base. The only things that could stop them were the ancients they had kept outside, but they were small fry. With so many gold tribe members and alpha alliance members here to help they could push past the mob relatively easily, head over to help Sword and Shield and Vigil with their own foes, and then head back to Liberty Town as heroes! When the group made it outside Penance hadn't been expecting to find two pokemon that were not ancients. Sentinels he thought. He hadn't been in the gold tribe when these silver tribe members had left but when they had returned he had heard plenty about them from his brothers and sisters. Just based on what he had been told he could identify the Mienshao as Scar and the Flareon was Ignitus.

"Crap." He heard Calamity mutter. While Penance wouldn't stoop to using cuss words he could agree with the general feeling that his brother was conveying.

"I suggest we find a way around them. The escapees of the torturehouse are in no condition to fight an army of Ancients, much less two Sentinels! We have to get out of here, noble Gold Tribe members." General Hazone said. Penance silently agreed, but someone else, a Grovyle, was already heading toward them no doubt attempting to face them head on. If what the General said was true than the Grovyle wouldn't last even a minute against the two sentinels.

"Cover your ears!" He shouted as he let out a loud screech at the two sentinels, hopefully the Grovyle had heard him and managed to leap out of the way. If his screech could just daze the sentinels for a few seconds they could at least have enough time to get into the forest and have more time to make a plan to get to Sword and Shield and Vigil and make their way back to Liberty Town.

Hanso had already discarded a few plans. Teleporting straight out of here wasn't the best idea, and fighting his way out of the building would depend on whether he ever got the chance to use his armblades. Also not the best idea, partly because of his current condition and partly because there would most likely be more than a few Ancients. Hanso glanced down at the armband, worn on his right upper-arm, that bore his Gold Tribe emblem. How had he let himself get caught, anyways?

Hanso's train of thought was interrupted when his ears caught a dim sound. Screeching?... He hadn't heard any of that before. Had someone been able to break in? Why hadn't I done that? Hanso thought. His hopes were realized when he began to hear talking outside his cell and, in time, a key rattling in the door's lock. Within minutes, Hanso was out of his cell and among the other prisoners that had been freed. He identified the other Gold Tribe members by the insignia that their ornaments bore. Of course, who else would free prisoners from a torturehouse?

"Everyone, we have to get going, immediately. It shouldn't be long before the rest of the Silver Tribe hears about our little jailbreak."

It was the Absol that had unlocked Hanso's cell. As the others began leaving the room, the Gallade let them pass before taking up the rear, watching his sides and back as they moved through the corridors. One reason why he did so was because, during his interrogation, one of his legs had been a victim of torture. It still hurt, and Hanso was left limping. Why weren't there more Ancients? A jailbreak like this should have roused all of the guards, unless this place was only scarcely guarded.

In time, they had left the confines of the torturehouse. After his eyes had adjusted to the sunlight, Hanso pushed his way forward to stand near the other Gold Tribe members...and wished he hadn't been able to see yet.

"Crap," he heard the Absol mutter. A Grovyle, from the looks of it, then said, "Just what I wanted to say..." before rushing at least one of the Sentinels.

Hanso was in full agreement. There were huge numbers of Ancients and three Sentinels, one of which was about to square off with two more Gold Tribe members, with many Ancients forming a circle around them. And the prisoners and rescuers were now being surrounded by more of the Ancients.
At least now Hanso knew where all the guards were.

"I suggest we find a way around them. The escapees of the torturehouse are in no condition to fight an army of Ancients, much less two Sentinels! We have to get out of here, noble Gold Tribe members."

That was a Dragonite speaking. Personally, Hanso felt like rushing in and fighting his way out, like the Grovyle. His leg wasn't in a condition to do so. The Gallade edged closer to the Dragonite and the two Gold Tribe members, wincing as his leg complained. Watching as the Golduck let loose a Screech, Hanso quietly said, "I could probably teleport a few of us out at a time." It wasn't much of an idea, but hey, the Dragonite had asked for a way out. In his own condition, teleporting was the most Hanso could do at the moment.

The crisp grass crunched underfoot as Ignitus and Scar charged towards the prison. Beserker had gone off to fight the other two Gold Tribe members by the forrest, while they ran towards the prison to stop the prison break from occuring. Ignitus quickly ran through what she remembered about the prison here. She knew that one of the generals of the Alpha Alliance had been imprissoned here, as well as a large number of rebels who had opposed them. Most notably a ditto who had caused quite a bit of trouble. If they had to engage all of the prisoners in a fight, there could be trouble. Then again, if there was one thing the torture houses where good for, it was breaking a prisoner down both mentally and physically. The prisoners would be weak and scared, and might not stand up to much of a fight. The Gold Tribe members on the other hand, they would be tricky. Ignitus was confident they the two of them could overwhelm the Gold Tribe members, but with all of the prisoners on their side? Difficult. If only there was a way to sepparate the Gold Tribe members from the other prisoners, or at least cause mass panic among them. Then the fight would become much easier and they might be able to end this quickly. Ignitus quickly scanned the area, looking for any advantages in the quick few seconds before they the battle began. The prisoners would be looking for escape, and the forrest a few hundred meters away from the prison would be a prime option. As the two Sentinels ran, Krystal quickly explained to Scar, "They will want to go to the forrest. I'll cut them off, you attack from the front." Scar nodded and they split up. Ignitus quickly used a flame charge, and as she did so, an ear piercing sound eminated from one of the prisoners. Pain erupted in Ignitus' head, her head felt as if it would split apart. She faltered, but continued running. Although the noise was painful, it would not stop her. She looked back and saw that Scar too was grimacing at the pain, but continued nevertheless. Focusing back on her task, Ignitus poured more energy into the flame charge, igniting the dry long grass between the prison and the forrest. The grass really was perfect for burning. The autumn had left them dry with very little water, and the cool air was perfect to fuel the flames. She continued parallel to the group of prisoners and the forrest, then started to loop back to attack the main group. It seemed as if not all of the prioners had been prepared for the earsplitting sound either, which was now slowly fading, and many prioners that were already weak had their heads in their hands. It really was perfect for her. The noise had caused confusion among the group, which would make any fighting easier for her. As she sprinted over to the group of prisoners, her flame charge now starting to end, she noticed a dragonite, weary, but still noble looking. It must be the General, she thought. She immediately targetted him first, and any Gold Tribe members would probably be around him to protect him. She quickly used superpower, and charged into the group throwing the confused prisoners left and right, like scattered bowling pins. Scar, too, had gone for the General and leapt from pokemon to pokemon taking them out. She reached the group first, seeing a group of Gold Tribe members surrounding the General. "Ah, good. I needed some good practice." She eyed them down, looking for any with weaknesses. She eyed a particularly aggresive Grovyle. "Ah yes, some of you will burn quite nicely." Then she unsleashed a flame thrower at the group, then used shadow ball a few times while the enemy was blinded by the wall of fire. She couldn't see either, but she hoped that at least a couple of her shadow balls would find targets.

The Flash Cannon took a direct hit to Shield and Sword, and he fell. Zane was also partially hit, but Gladius took most of the attack. Zane got up quickly, Gladius was on it for a while. Zane feared the attack may have been too much, but suddenly, he stood up again. He spoke.

"There is no way we can escape unscathed Vigil. We still need to mount a fight. Freedom is just beyond Berserker and these Ancients. We need to continue fighting. I will still fight." As he said this, he used a belly Drum. Zane admired the Snorlax at this moment. It is said in the face of doom, our true colors are shown. It was evident that his were proud and true to his Gold Tribe nature, and Zane knew he would be the same. That was the life of a Gold Tribe member. Never quite looking for trouble, but always managing to find it. It comes with the title. And you know what, Zane doubted a single Gold Tribe member would have it any other way.

"It is time to get serious," He said, and charged forward at Beserker. Immediately, Zane charged in right behind him. Beserker prepared, and unleashed an Earthquake upon them. The ground began to collapse across the terrain, and the fissures made their way towards the Gold Tribe members. Zane did his best to avoid the bulk of the attack, only to falter and get hit towards the climax, the most powerful part. Without a moments hesitation, he stood once more, and charged in, preparing with a Swords Dance. Beserker went right for the two of them now with a Take Down attack. Zane met his blows with a powerful Night Slash. In unison, the three Pokemon clashed together.

As the Golduck released a screech, Hazone covered his ears, while the Sentinel scar faltered for a moment upon approach. Hazone noticed a Gallade speak now.

"I could probably teleport a few of us out at a time." Hazone didn't know the capabilities of the Gallade in his condition, but he probably would be able to teleport a few of them at least to the edge of the forest.

"You should teleport the Alpha Alliance soldiers at least to the forest edge, that way they can try to escape. I doubt they are in any condition to battle. I will remain with you Gold Tribe members, and hold them off, until we see an opening we can escape from."

Before anything else could happen, though, the two Sentinels separated. Scar continued to head straight for them, as Ignitus apparently was set on cutting them off. As one of the Gold Tribe members charged forward, Ignitus unleashed a barrage of attacks at them, beginning with flamethrower and ending with a few shadow balls. Hazone was hit by one or two attacks, and was knocked backwards. He wasn't in his prime condition, so his speed has been greatly reduced, as was his attack capabilities. He was slow to get up as he observed the other's damage.

Scar, meanwhile, charged in to the Gold Tribe group, and went to work. He used a Jump Kick, followed quickly by a Force Palm on a few of the others. Hazone couldn't believe the quickness of the attacks, and hoped the others were alright.

Gladius Clipeum

Berserker unleashed a powerful earthquake, far different and far stronger than Gladius'. Gladius rolled to the side to avoid a huge fissure, but his left foot stumbled inside the fissure. Gladius scrambled to get up. He saw Vigil fall, but stood up without a moment's lag. Bless his Gold Tribe heart. Vigil used another Swords Dance. Gladius could not boost himself anymore, because of the energy drain, but he still feels powerful. Berserker was preparing a Take down Attack. Vigil struck with a Night Slash, and Gladius struck with a Return. The three Pokemon met. Berserker grinned at them, and sent the two Gold Tribe members flying. That was a show of his strength. And it showed Vigil and Gladius how overpowered there were. The duo landed a few feet away from the Aggron. Gladius felt the pain. Even with a Belly Drum, Gladius was no match with the Aggron with no boost. Gladius stood up.

"This is not happening!" Gladius prepared a Wild Charge. He rushed towards the Berserker. Steel and electricity met. "Down you go, Berserker, you traitor!"

Penance Malum

As soon as Penance ended his screech attack he had expected the sentinels to at least be dazed from his attack, but they were still moving like nothing had even happened! "I could probably teleport a few of us out at a time." He heard the Gallade say.

"You should teleport the Alpha Alliance soldiers at least to the forest edge, that way they can try to escape. I doubt they are in any condition to battle. I will remain with you Gold Tribe members, and hold them off, until we see an opening we can escape from." The general said.

Penance turned his attention to Ignitus as he formed two water pulses in his hands. If they could as least wound one of the sentinels badly enough for a retreat then they would only need to focus on getting past one sentinel and then get to Vigil and Sword and Shield to help them out. Penence wasn't ready when the fire type suddenly unleased a flamethrower at the group. Penance cried out as the flames engulfed his body, while he was a water type that didn't mean that fire couldn't burn him. If that wasn't bad enough a shadow ball slammed into Penance's chest causing him to stagger back. Penance noticed the other sentinal, Scar, force palming the soldiers. Penance formed another two water pulses in each hand. If they could hold off Ignitus long enough... he could only hope that they could make it through this alive.

"Calamity, help me with Ignitus!" He shouted as he threw his water pulses at his foe and quickly formed two more. "Screw chivalry," he muttered. It took some effort to form water, but he would use every ounce of energy he had to form eight more water pulses and aimed all of them at Ignitus. As soon as he fired his tenth he felt his fatigue catch up with him as he doubled over, panting heavily. He hoped that would at least get the fire type off their backs for a while.

The three Pokemon clashed, but the force of Beserker's Take Down was too much for the two Gold Tribe members. Zane was forced back on his back, but stood up quickly. Gladius too stood up quickly, and immediately went after Beserker once more.

"This is not happening!" Gladius prepared a Wild Charge. He rushed towards the Berserker. Beserker fought back with another Take Down. "Down you go, Berserker, you traitor!" he said, as the two clashed. For a moment, it seemed, that Berserker was being held off by Gladius. Zane would not get another chance like this. He charged at Beserker from behind, and delivered his strongest Night Slash on him. Beserker roared in pain for a moment, and faltered, allowing for Gladius's attack to overwhelm him for that moment. A second later, Beserker was on the ground, still in pain from the attack. The Ancients, realizing Beserker was momentarily subdued, began to close in. Zane yelled at Gladius.

"Now's our only chance, Sword and Shield! Let's make a whole and get out of here!"

While he screamed this, he rammed through to make a pass with Iron Head at the Ancients. While Beserker was on the ground, now may be their only chance to escape back into the forest.

As the fighting erupted, Hazone saw the Golduck launching strikes back at Ignitus. Scar, however, remained unaccounted for. Scar continued to launch his barrage of attacks against the weaker forces, working his way up. Still very weak, Hazone couldn't just stand by and see this happen.

Sneaking around to the blind side of Scar, Hazone prepared all the energy he could. As energy filled up in his mouth, Hazone released his most potent Hyper Beam he could. Scar turned in time to see the attack coming, but didn't have enough time to dodge the attack. He took the blast full force, knocking him back a few meters. He was slow to get up. Hazone knew that wouldn't be enough to defeat Scar, but it may keep him down long enough to try to break free and escape.

"We may not get another chance! To the forest!" Hazone yelled, as Ancients began charging in. Hazone did his best to try and shake them, and retreat.

Gladius Clipeum

He was no still no match for the Sentinel, and Gladius knew that. Gladius gave it his all, while Berserker was barely trying. The Aggron is stronger, and he knew it well. He was grinning all the time the two clashed, murmuring words and such. Gladius tried budging him down from his position, but he had not moved an inch. Gladius willed Vigil to act. Vigil took Berserker with surprise. From the boosts of several Swords Dances, Vigil executed a very good Night Slash which surprsingly brought the Aggron down. He fell, face-first to the dirt. The Ancients circled in closer.

"Now's our only chance, Sword and Shield! Let's make a whole and get out of here!" Vigil dashed through the thick wall of Ancients, using Iron Head as his ticket out the circle. He went on first, assuming that this is the only chance they had to escape. Even though Gladius still wanted to smack Berserker down to the ground more, he need to escape since he is getting fatigued from the long fight, and he know he will not survive if he tried to take the Sentinel on his own. Gladius ran off, sending another Earthquake, which he hoped was the last, disabling more Ancients. The more he take down during his escape, the less he is going to fight in the next battle. He Smacked Down all Ancients that he could grab, and finally he burst out the circle with several Ancients hot on his trail. From the corner of his eyes, he saw the General Hazone fire at a Sentinel, the Mienshao more commonly called Scar. Scar fell, which gave Hazone and the others precious moments to escape. This is Gold tribe's golden moment. Several remaining members trying to escape the clutches of the Silver Tribe. Gladius turned and tried running backwards. He summoned another wave of water towards the oncoming ancients which put more distance between the two. They are finally escaping.

Gladius ran quicker, towards a new beginning.

"You should teleport the Alpha Alliance soldiers at least to the forest edge, that way they can try to escape. I doubt they are in any condition to battle. I will remain with you Gold Tribe members, and hold them off, until we see an opening we can escape from."

Hanso nodded, already looking past the surrounding Ancients and at the forest's edge, stopping when he decided on a spot some hundreds of feet or so from the Ancients surrounding the Aggron and two Gold Tribe members. It would take a little longer and more energy than usual to teleport others, but Hanso felt confident that he could do it.

The Gallade had nearly fixed the image of the spot he'd chosen in his mind when the other two Sentinels, the Flareon and Mienshao, attacked. Given his condition, Hanso was not able to react before the Flareon's Flamethrower struck. He staggered back a few feet from the fire, then fell as his leg spasmed with pain. It might have been his fall that saved him; a Shadow Ball whizzed through the air where Hanso had been standing before. He pushed himself to his feet again, gritting his teeth.

Other sounds of combat drew his attention to the Mienshao, who was working his way towards the group of Gold Tribe members and the Dragonite. Hanso held his hands up in front of himself, forming a ball of light blue energy between them. It then flew up into the air, and Hanso turned his attention to the soldiers immediately at hand. His Future Sight attack should hit the Mienshao in a little while. Curse this limp, Hanso thought to himself, quickly moving closer to a few of the other prisoners that were still on the ground from the Screech and the Sentinels' attacks.

"Hold onto me!" Hanso growled to two soldiers, who obeyed, before he grabbed the arm of a third, a Prinplup, as he brought the image of the forest's edge to the forefront of his mind. This would probably hurt. The Gallade then Teleported the three soldiers and himself to the place he'd chosen. Hanso had done this seconds before Hazone cried, "We may not get another chance! To the forest!"

Hanso dropped to one knee, trying and failing to ignore his leg's pain and the depletion of energy. How any Pokemon could have been sick enough to order that torturehouses be built, he didn't know. Hanso pushed himself back up and teleported back to the front of the torturehouse, intent on bringing out another few prisoners.

Penance Malum

Penance was still breathing hard when the General let out a huge Hyper Beam which slammed into Scar. "Hold onto me!" He heard the Gallade shout as he disappeared with three soldiers. "We may not get another chance! To the forest!" he heard the General shout. Penance groaned, that Gallade hadn't heard the General and the Gallade had no idea where Liberty Town was! Wherever he deposited those soldiers they would be alone in the forest and if the Gallade got captured again or even got back to them safely then they would remain lost in the forest until they would get picked up by the ancients once more. Someone had to get them back to Liberty Town!

As the soldiers ran to the opening Penance was torn between running as well to staying for the Gallade when the psychic reappeared in his spot. "Calamity I'll meet you all back at Liberty Town later!" he shouted as he ran and grabbed the Gallade. "Teleport us to those soldiers right now!" He shouted. There was no time for pleasentries. If the Gallade didn't focus in enough time then the ancients and the two sentinels would be on them in a blink of an eye, and judging on how quickly Scar recovered from that Hyper Beam they were only a few seconds from death. These soldiers would have at least three gold tribe members watching over them, it was only fair that these four soldiers have at least one to guard them. Penance was confident, he knew how to get to Liberty Town and he could tell the Gallade enough to be able to teleport the group there, or so he hoped.

Forest Near Torturehouse

Zane ran through and past the Ancients, en route to the forest. Gladius was a bit behind him. He could still hear him shooting Earthquakes through the ground at incoming or following Ancients. Zane tried to maintain a constant top speed, despite having numerous injuries and fatigue. Soon, the two made it to the edge of the forest, Ancients still in pursuit, but thanks to delaying tactics from Gladius, there was some breathing room.

On the edge of the forest, Zane spotted three other Pokemon. He recognized them from the torturehouse entrance as Alpha Alliance soldiers. Obviously, they wouldn't know where to go. There's no telling how long they were in the torturehouse. Zane looked over to where Penance, Calamity, and the prisoners were standing. He made a motion with his arm, one arm bent at the elbow and sticking into the air, the other one placed on top of the forearm of the one sticking up. Many others wouldn't know what that meant, but to any Gold Tribe member, it would be the sign of "regroup at home base". Usually, this would mean Gold City. But ever since it's fall, Liberty Town has acted as 'home base'. Zane was sure they would get the message. In this way, the group near the torturehouse could stay together, and Zane and Gladius could look after those three. Zane spoke now to the three soldiers.

"Follow us! We're getting you to safety!" He said, as the three of them broke into a run behind them.

"Um...where to, if I may ask, sire?" Asked one of the soldiers.

"Liberty Town." Zane replied, as he ran through the forest, Gladius close by.

"What, exactly, is that, noble Gold Tribe?" He said, still a bit confused. He had probably been in the cell too long to know what it was. Liberty Town, after all, was established after the conquest of the Silver Tribe, and Zane doubts anyone heard much about what is going on in the outside from inside the torturehouse. Zane replied with one word.

"Home."

Torturehouse Entrance

Hazone noticed three soldiers now teleport to the forest edge. The Gallade was moving them, but it might not be fast enough. Scar could recover any second now, and then they'd be in big trouble.

"Teleport us to those soldiers right now!" He heard the Golduck Gold Tribe member say. Hazone then spotted something near the three soldiers. It was a Bisharp and a Snorlax. Hazone spoke.

"Wait! Look!" He said. The Bisharp began motioning something with his arms. Hazone did not understand. "He's doing something with his arms...signaling perhaps? I don't understand it..."

Just then, Scar was back on his feet.

"Ugh...a valiant move, General, but not good enough I'm afra-" The Sentinel's speech was interrupted as a hit from a Future Sight attack him directly, once again sending him flying. Hazone found a tad bit of humor in it, but kept it to himself. Precious moments were once again bought with the second surprise attack. Ignitus was nowhere to be seen, whether incapacitated, hiding, or lurking. General Hazone turned to the Gallade as Ancients slowly began to move on their position.

"I know this will be difficult for you, but you must try. Can you teleport us all to some part of the forest, any part? This should throw the Ancients off, and then we can make our way to some hideout or base or something. I know I ask a lot, but you must try, noble Gold Tribe. We have no time!"

It would be difficult, to teleport the Dragonite Hazone, as well as the Golduck, Absol, Ditto, Breloom, and about 15 other Alpha Alliance prisoners. But if they didn't try now, they wouldn't get another shot. Hazone saw Scar begin to slowly stir. He would be up again soon. It was now or never.

Gladius Clipeum

Gladius caught up with Vigil. He had managed to put a great distance between them and the horde of Ancient. He knew somewhere in the middle of that horde is Berserker. Angry. Gladius willed Vigil to go fatser. He feared Berserker might catch up But, heavens. Vigil casted a look aside, and saw three Alpha Alliance members. They looked really confused. Vigil then made a signal. It means to regroup at the home base. Gladius assumed it is the Liberty Town. He nodded to himself, and hoped the others would also understand.

"Follow us! We're getting you to safety!" Vigil said. He broke off into a run. Gladius followed closely behind. He could sense the army of Ancients closing in the distance between them. One soldier asked where they are headed. Vigil answered "Liberty Town," and yet the soldier still looked confused. So this one is of the first capture. That is a pretty long time.

"Home," Vigil simply answered. Gladius smiled at the thought of that. He risked to look back to check whether Penance and Calamity are able to follow, but only saw the Ancients. And right he was, Berserker is there. His steel armor chipped off where the Wild Charge hit it.

"Vigil! I cannot see Penance and the others! But Berserker is still here!" Gladius shouted. He stopped for a moment, and sent another Earthquake towards the Silver Tribe. "Taste this!" Gladius ran off again. He dared to never look back again.

Replicus "Speculum" Decendas
Gold Tribe

Replicus skipped ahead, his nimble Grovyle feet guiding him. He charged straight at Berserker, just before a painful noise filled his ears, throwing him off balance. Replicus groaned, and fell down on his knees, grabbing his poor ears. Pain surged through his body, as Replicus tried his best to keep the noise out. Through blurry eyes, he could see a Flareon, possibly the Sentinel Ignitus, burning the grass between the prison and the forest, successfully cutting the route off. Replicus grit his teeth, getting frustrated by their current situation. He was definitely going to bring those stupid Sentinels down someday, no matter how rash he was being.

He saw the Flareon rush towards a Dragonite, whom Replicus identified as Hazone, the General of the Gold Tribe. The Flareon muttered something, and Replicus could see her set her eyes on him. His own eyes widened, as the Fire Pokemon unleashed a Flame Thrower in his direction. He managed to jump back at the last moment, attempting to dodge the move. The flames did managed to burn him a bit, but otherwise, he was uninjured. He got back on his feet, when he was suddenly attacked by more Shadow Balls.

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhh Arceus" He thought, just before a few Shadow Balls smacked him on the chest. He flew back, and fell onto the ground. Luckily, the impact was softened by soft grass, and another prisoner who was lying on the ground. The Ditto knew he didn't have much time, but he managed to inspect his wounds a bit. His whole upper body was covered with dark bruises and burns, but he was going to have to tough it out if he wanted to survive this crazy escape.

He quickly got back on his feet, and transformed into an Excadrill. He dug deep into the earth, and started to work his way towards the front of the Torturehouse, where the others were trying to fight back. He popped out, just as soon as a Gallade transported in front of him.

"I know this will be difficult for you, but you must try. Can you teleport us all to some part of the forest, any part? This should throw the Ancients off, and then we can make our way to some hideout or base or something. I know I ask a lot, but you must try, noble Gold Tribe. We have no time!" The Dragonite said to him. Replicus had an idea, he was a Ditto, he could easily transform and help the Gallade in the rescue.

"Hey, I can help him with teleportation." Replicus said, panting. Unfortunately, both him and the other Gallade were severely injured. It would take quite a lot of energy to teleport... specially with injuries, and about 20 people to teleport. But they had to try, there was no other choice.

Replicus saw a few Ancients approach, and he quickly managed to bring them down, thrusting his drill into their chests. The Ancients screamed in pain, and fell down, as the Ditto swiftly transformed into a Gallade, copying the other Gold Tribe member. That's when he noticed the body of the Mienshao at his feet, who was called Scar by the Sentinels. Replicus could feel rage build up inside him, and he quickly threw a Leaf Blade on his unconscious body. Without seeing whether it hit or not, he turned towards the General and the Gallade, and asked, "Ready to get going?"
