New SU's Are Open!

The History

In the year 2052, discovery of the world was at its height. Trainers, scientists, shopkeepers, and villains alike all started to travel more and more, going out on expeditions to hopefully discover something new. After much exploration of the ocean, a small cluster of nine islands arranged in what appeared to be an infinity symbol was found.

These were called the Eternal Isles. Immediately after the discovery, people from other regions started to travel to the area, building Pokemon Centers, Gyms, Marts, and other facilities, although most living areas were small villages and modern buildings were scarce. The natives of the Isles were very tense about new visitors entering the Isles, frequently trying to deter newcomers with warnings of disaster. However, the thought of some new place was too exciting to those who had the glimmer of discovery in their eyes. It wasn't long before more people started to come to the Isles to live and explore. Pokemon from all regions were found on the Isles and were a major factor in attracting visitors. Mixtures of different biomes could be found on certain Islands, so one could find somewhere comfortable to reside somewhere on the Isles at the very least.

However, peace didn't last for long on the Eternal Isles. A place with so much potential was sure to attract the hands of evil in little to no time at all. Team Dissipate, a newly formed group of villains soon arrived on the Isles, laying low and gathering information. In their explorations they discovered something strange on the 5th island, farthest to the west. Near the outside of one of their bases hidden in the woods, they found what appeared to be a dead Shedinja on the ground, a small glowing crystal next to it. The moment one of the Team's members touched the crystal, his body froze and he tumbled to the ground, as though his life force had been drained. It didn't take them long to assume that their comrade had met the same fate as the Shedinja.

Immediately, the group found a safer way to transport the strange object, eventually having their scientists try to examine it. While interaction with the object was limited, some of the scientists attempted to consult with the natives to see if they knew anything about any odd objects that might be on the Isles.

What they learned was a legend about the Isles.
Spoiler:

After hearing this, Team Dissipate was inspired. "If this Spirit is a Pokemon, with its power we could manipulate time and fate itself!" They assumed that what they had found was the omen mentioned in the legend and decided that this was the spirit 'collecting the souls' of people and Pokemon. It was then that Team Dissipate struck. They've now started to harass inhabitants and attempt to capture people and their Pokemon in order to take their soul to fuel their 'master plan.'

Other RP Mechanics

Catching New Pokemon
In order to keep this fair and interesting, I'm implementing a kind of Random Number Generator type system when it comes to catching pokemon. If you're attempting to catch a Pokemon and you throw a Pokeball at it, I'll roll a RNG from 1-10, including a modifier from the type of Pokeball you're using. If it is a 5 or higher, you catch the Pokemon, if it is a 4 or lower, you miss and you lose the Pokeball you used. To make things simple, I'm only allowing the use of Pokeballs, Great Balls, and Ultra Ball.

The Pokeball modifiers are as follows:
Spoiler:

There is also the matter of Health Values and Status Effects. This are also modifiers. Depending on how much damage you do to the Pokemon in question and what effects you have on it, it'll either lower or increase your chances.

The modifiers for Health Values and Status Effects are as follows:
Spoiler:

Confused on how this works? Here's an example:
Spoiler:

Stealing Souls
If you're playing a member of Team Dissipate and are attempting to capture the souls of others, you need to make sure that the gem comes in direct contact with the skin of the person or Pokemon you're trying to take the soul from. Also, to increase the difficulty of stealing souls, you have to have the Pokemon or person in question at the Team Dissipate base. Kidnapping them is necessary.

Who Are You and Who is the Spirit?

You have a few paths you can take on these Isles. If you're a trainer, you can have any mixture of backgrounds. Your main goal would be to stop Team Dissipate from stealing the souls of others on the Island and to keep the Spirit of the Isles, Desterin, safe.

You can also choose to be a Team Dissipate member and your goal is essentially to steal enough souls in order to bring out Desterin and capture it, using its power to control time and gain power over the Isles.

If you prefer a less exciting path, you could also become a shopkeeper and serve those who come to your stores, as well as have your own misadventures which could prove interesting to some degree.

As for the Spirit, Desterin is an ancient Pokemon who appears to be a snake, except it has a head on its tail as well. It's curled around a giant hourglass. The head which is at the top is white and has feather-like 'ears' which stretch off its head. The head at the bottom is black and has a pair of horns that resemble that of a ram. The two are usually in constant slumber and when they wake, they are said to change the fates of those who have woken it.

DONE!

Username: Sheraku
Name: Tsuya Tougen
Age: 20
Gender: Female

Personality: Tsuya is now cold, yet very hot headed. Quick to anger she'll sometimes blindly act out of rage, under certain conditions, however battle is usually not one of them. Quite calculating and remorseless she'll take any advantage given, while keeping an eye out for any slip up. Her strategy is mostly to simply try to over-power her opponents as quickly as possible. Goodra usually being an emergency back up for this.

Widely known as the Champion of Kalos, she now disregards what she once strived for, acknowledgement. Tsuya will enlighten people's desire to battle, and will judge them accordingly. This is where/how most notice the other side of her overall personality. She cares deeply for Pokemon, and if the Trainer is deemed worthy she'll spare them, and even help heal their Pokemon, with the skills she learned at the Pokemon Center.

Though she is harsh and difficult to get along with, Tsuya, is extremely dedicated, and for the most part a Pokemon Trainer, who chose the wrong path. Definitely not one afraid to speak her mind, she rarely pays any heed of a disapproval. Able feign kindness quite exceptionally, she can generally trick strangers to throw them off guard. She's not all without truth, and can form bonds rather easily to those who can get past her tough demeanor.

Appearance: Most noticeably is Tsuya's almost seemingly luminous glacier blue/teal hair. Which is shorter, reaching just barely to her shoulders, curving inward with a delicate wave near the ends. She has a moderately over sized forehead and being female rather thick bluish brows. Her crimson eyes gleam behind her thin, rectangular, black framed glasses. With a button nose and somewhat petite lips. Not too much more stands out in particular of her facial features. That is except her mild case of rosacea which causes her cheeks to always be glowing with a soft red.

Standing at 5'6" Tsuya's quite average in height. Not necessarily over-weight, she does however have a sturdy build overall. Yet lacking definition in muscle tone, she doesn't really have much of what could be called an "outstanding figure." That is of course not to say that she isn't attractive enough. Though she does own a Team Dissipate dress, Tsuya will usually be seen by others without it.

On top Tsuya is generally seen in public wearing a small brown, long sleeved vest that ends roughly halfway down her back, with the sleeves rolled up to her bicep. Underneath this jacket she sports a tight fitting sand sleeveless shirt, having black accents around the collar and waist. The lower of which is also where she keeps her Pokeballs clipped. Over her hands she has black leather, fingerless gloves that nearly reach her elbows. Usually tucked into her shirt she is accessorized with a silver necklace that has an infinity symbol hanging off it, much like those worn by most female Members of Team Dissipate. Tsuya's lower body is averagely clad with plain, slightly loose fitting, teal jeans, and white soled high top black sneakers with puffy white ankles.

Spoiler:

"Can you tell that I'm an Orphan?"

===================================================

Her Team Dissipate Dress is slightly different from most as it's cut short, both on top and bottom. Sharp, angular, darker yet still soft tan fabrics point out to each side below her shoulders then comes back in tightly around the waist where her thicker than usual, pale yellow, band holds the outfit close to her, before waving back outward inches above her knees. Overall resembling that of an hourglass. Her infinity necklace is obviously visible above her chest while wearing this uniform. She'll usually also wear white leggings while in this attire, and keeps the sneakers she wears in public.

Spoiler:

"Your Soul is Mine..."
Occupation/Role: Champion of Kalos/Team Dissipate Scout/Part Time Nurse among the Eternal Isles

History and Misc Information: The offspring of two young adventuring Pokemon Trainer by "accident", Tsuya Tougen, was born in the Mountain Region of Kalos at the Pokemon Center in Laverre City. The two parents lacked experience, and could not afford the expense or time needed to raise a child. Bailing first chance they got, however they each left a Pokemon that was to be given to the girl at the appropriate age. The Nurse in charge of the Center took the baby Tsuya to a nearest hospital for a diagnosis. She was healthy and quite strong. After Tsuya was cleared to leave the Nurse decided to accept custody and raised the girl solo.

Nurse Joy raised Tsuya as an Aunt, and told many false stories of Tsuya's parents being great Trainers that went on to another Region to become Champions. It was noticed early on that Tsuya had an affinity for training Pokemon. Growing up at a Pokemon Center Tsuya was exposed to Pokemon quite often and sometimes even traumatic. At the age of five Tsuya saw a Pokemon die before her eyes for the first time. A mangled little Charmander, beaten beyond reason its tail flame terribly weak. Nurse Joy did everything possible to save the young Pokemon, but it was far passed the point of no return.

On her eighth birthday, Nurse Joy, presented Tsuya with the Pokemon her parents had left. Tsuya's Mother gave her starting Pokemon, Braixen. As her Father parted with the last Pokemon he had caught, a Goomie. Not being old enough to legally be a Pokemon Trainer, Tsuya instead formed friendships with each of the monsters, training them in ways that didn't involve official battles. Two years of effort, study, and help from her "Aunt" Tsuya had grown her high leveled Pokemon until they were in sync. Braixen having been with Tsuya's Mother at the start of her own journey was quick to look after the girl like an older sister. She was able to control her Fire Type Moves with exquisite precision, also her telepathic abilities were simply stunning. Goomie was a little harder to crack as she wasn't human trained in the slightest, but realizing how innocent the girl was eventually also learned to watch over her caringly.

Now 10 and officially able to become a legit Pokemon Trainer, Tsuya decided to venture out on her own in hopes to become a Champion to maybe have her parents acknowledge her existence. She made her way South to Lumiose City in order to meet the Region's most noted Pokemon Researcher, Professor Sycamore. Who gave her a Pokedex and an official Trainer Card. After a quick one sided battle with the girl, Sycamore realized how skilled this new Trainer was, and recommended she head West to Cyllage City for her first Gym Badge.

Having won handily against Grant, she learned of the Glittering Cave, and about the Fossils that were once known to be there. Tsuya adventures the emerald green Luminous Moss lit tunnels of the cave for days in search of a fossil, yet there was none to be found. Unable to find her way back, Tsuya and her team were lost when they came across a lonely abandoned Mawile, after a quick non-threatening fight Tsuya managed to capture her first (and still last) Pokemon. The Steel/Fairy Pokemon was quickly accepted into the group and looked after the others like family, and even showed them the way back to the exit.

Tsuya's life went on relatively normal for years, as she continued to raise her Pokemon defeating the Eighth Gym, to her being Viola at Santalune City, earning her the right to challenge the Elite Four of Kalos. Her dream of becoming Champion was achieved while she was 16 years of age. With this new title she hoped the recognition would bring her Parents back. She gave an international shout out to them that she'd be at the Pokemon Center in Laverre City, but of course they never showed up, and Nurse Joy explained why. It was discovered that mere months after her birth Tsuya's Parentals were killed by a Rouge Gang of Punks at the Lost Hotel.

Being a headstrong hormonal teenager, Tsuya didn't let Nurse Joy explain why she kept it hidden for so long. Not having any more ambition in life, and overtaken by rage Tsuya ran away to places unknown. Seeking out worthy Trainers to join their cause, Tsuya was found by a Member of a newly formed group who called themselves, Team Dissipate. The shady individual explained a Legend of a Pokemon that could alter Time and even Destiny, and their hopes to revive the monster. With this knowledge Tsuya accepted the offer and was brought to the Eternal Isles.

Being raised at a Pokemon Center she was able to pick-up a part time job at each Islands Center, moving freely between each depending on what island she's currently on. She uses this as an undercover way to scout for potential souls to target for Desterin. While acting as a nurse, Tsuya was generally kind and helpful, but still held her tough ways towards people for certain reasons. If anyone would talk down to her or a Pokemon she'd keep tabs on them and, later when not "on duty" kidnap them returning them to the Team Dissipate Base where she'd go through the process of passing their soul to the sleeping Desterin. Even being the one to steal their soul herself, many times.

Able to move up quickly in rank within the syndicate, do to her outstanding participation. Tsuya was given a special class of Team Dissipate, a Scout, where she'd go out into public as a normal citizen, yet relay any useful information to the Scout Admin. Be that Assults, Targets, possible new recruits, even rare Pokemon Encounters would prove useful. It was a cruel way of living, but for the past few years of her life, Tsuya learned to disregard her past. Twisting her ambitions to those of the Team, and more so the revival of Desterin. With the Legendary Beasts ability she'd be able to alter time and destiny to be with her "true family."

Username: Dillon1102
Name: Lucas White
Age: 18
Gender: Male

Personality:

Appearance: Standing at just over 6 feet tall. David is quiet normal. With long dark brown hair, deep blue eyes with green flecks. Average body size but could stand to lose a few pounds. Normally he wears black shirt which really shows how much he needs a tans. Complimenting his black shirt he wears a pair of redding vintage supima grey jeans.

Occupation/Role: Trainer

History and Misc Information: Two weeks ago, Lucas was abducted in the middle of the night by two dissipate grunts. For the next two weeks Lucas was tortured without remorse. The reason he was tortured is because he knew information on unlocking the crystal. After 2 weeks had gone by Lucas had lost his memory. Lucas woke up to the sound of a pokemon howling he didn't know what or where it was but he knew it was in pain. After a while the pokemon stopped suddenly and he realized it had been killed. He couldn't fathom the type of person who would do such a thing. One thing was for sure he didn't want to come face to face with one. Lucas decided he needed a way out but first he needed to get his memory back. The only things he could remember is his name Lucas, there's something important he should know, and that white roses are important.

He could hear someone coming down the hall. This might be his only chance to escape. As they walked by he tried to grab the keys. Not Finished

So is there anything in particular that sets a Member of Team Dissipate as how do I say? Obvious? Like how all the other Syndicates have their uniforms? Or are they a little more subtle with maybe an hourglass emblem or something another?

Just want to know before I draw out my character, though I guess it doesn't really matter in her case being she's mostly undercover.

Just a quick question: How many pokemon are we allowed to have? Not only that, but levels should our pokemon be? I don't want to be too over leveled for this, but also not under leveled.

In reply to Sheraku, the uniforms are exclusive to the team just like any other villain team in Pokemon. The male outfits consist of an outfit similar to that of Team Rockets, except with an hourglass on both shoulders of the fabric.

The female outfits are similar to a dress, except with an hourglass shape. A small, light yellow band goes around the waist and the dress itself is a soft tan color. Usually they have a necklace on their neck with an infinity symbol dangling from it.

In reply to Greiger, you may have 6 Pokemon in your party like normal and may have them in their final evolutions. Depending on your character's background, they might be stronger or weaker. As long as you aren't spamming overpowered moves all the time and show weakness, I don't mind what level your Pokemon is at. You don't even really need to state it in your form either. ^^

Thanks for the clarification! Think I'm 102% done with my SU, unless there's anything else you notice that needs fixing/alteration?

Being she doesn't wear it often, I kinda rushed her Team Dissipate appearance, and was having troubles with her arms/hands, haha. Glad you like it, though! Thanks!

Can't wait to get involved in this one. Also just wondering if each of the islands are named, or have anything particular about 'em? Location of the Main Dissipate Base, Gym Leaders/Types (was originally planning on making a Gym Leader Character,) Points of Interest, ect...

Or are you just going to go with the flow and reveil needed information as the story progresses?

Username: xCipherx
Name:Mark DiNozzo
Age:21
Gender:Male

Personality: Charismatic, intelligent, stubborn and rather dishonest; the true qualities of a business man. Mark is the son of one of the leading business men in the Sinnoh regions and grew up with a rather cushioned childhood, which has made him rather naive and over confident. He has no real knowledge of how difficult life can be at times and as such lacks independence in the real world.

To those that he has a dislike for, he will happily show his negative feelings towards them. He has no fear of getting on peoples' bad side. However, he has no knack for physical confrontations. Due to his body build, he is rather fragile and would not fair well in a fight. So, he will let his pokémon and his sharp tongue do all the damage. On the other hand, for those he cares for (romantically or friendship) he will show a different side to his personality. He will be calm, caring and rather sweet at times. This side of him normally shows when he takes care of the pokémon that was given to him, especially his Mightyena who he treasures as more of a pet than a fighter. It may take some time to break down the walls of arrogance that he has built up to protect his emotions and insecurities, but they cannot truly hide his real feelings.

Appearance:Mark has dark blue, spiky hair with a sweeping fringe which nearly covers one of his eyes. He wears thin glasses, not to improve his looks but because he is virtually blind without them. He has a little facial hair, a goatee and a small beard lining his chin.

His dress sense normally comprises of smart-casual clothing, a shirt and skinny jeans, as he likes to show off his vanity. He comes to a height of 5'10" and his figure is very slender, as eating isn't something he does overly often. Though, due to this he has no real muscles or strength. He is rather fragile and definitely not threatening in appearance, as he has no physical strength to deter aggression.

Occupation/Role: Business man/amateur researcher.

History and Misc Information: Mark was born in Hearthome city and is the youngest of two sons of the wealthy business man, Alistair DiNozzo. From the moment he could open his eyes he was enthralled in a luxurious and lavish lifestyle, with everything given to him on a silver platter. Even his first pokémon, a Poochyena, was given to him by his older brother, Darren, when he was fifteen years old. None the less, this lifestyle has shielded Mark from the real troubles of the world.

When he was twelve years old his mother and father divorced and he moved to the industrial Veilstone city, where his father soon began to tutor him on the businesses he owned and the life that he would soon be living. Mark's older brother had no wish to be involved in industry and left to join the police force, so it left Mark alone with his strict and over protective father. He became his father's apprentice and learnt everything from management, manufacturing and charming contacts and customers, but he knew nothing of the world outside Veilstone. When his brother would make his occasional visit, he would try and inform Mark of the wonders of the world, of the other regions and the mysterious pokémon and people that lived there. He became fascinated by the folklore of the legendary pokémon, their power, majesty and finesse. He would spend his free nights reading about them and became enchanted by their tales. Power was something that attracted young Mark deeply, and his curiosity of the world around him would not stop growing. He wanted so badly to escape this boring life, to have a taste of excitement. Mark had lust for adventure, though did not have the confidence to leave his father and his work.

It wasn't until the downfall of Galactic did things finally change. Alistair cut off Mark's access to the research centres, to any information that concerned the legendaries and their powers incase he too became corrupted by their stories, just as Cyrus and his commanders did. He didn't want his son to have the same fate as those that chased after legendaries. However, this plan backfired. It was the last straw for Mark, he could not take this over-protectiveness anymore. So, when he had got wind of the discovery of the Eternal Isles, he left immediately. Mark would come back to his father eventually, but for now he wanted to finally start living his life and maybe even have a few stories to tell his brother upon his return, it would be a nice change.
