X/Y Friend Code Sharing Thread
Grab your Friend Code (found in 3DS Home, at the top center, click on the orange smilie face icon) and exchange them with other members to make use of X/Y's Friend Safari and O-Power features.

Important:The first google link below is a form where you enter your username, player name, and your safari type and species if known. Once submitted, you can edit your responses if you made a mistake. The second google link is everyone's safari information. The types are often sorted.

*You should actively seek out folks and politely send them a private/visitor message. Make use of this thread and the googledoc resource to fill up that friend safari.

*Note that you can only have 100 friends on your 3DS. What you can do to not reach your limit is add each other, you check what's in the safari, and have the other person delete you. Provided that you do not delete them too, you will still have their cool safari. This should work and save on space.

Needing Friends!

Personally I think the game would be more fun with friends to battle and trade etc... id rather have friends who got the game last night rather then those who got it 2 days earlier or whatever. Just to be fair and what not!

As a side note, there is an Internet functionality that lets you meet random people as you go around. I got a challenge from the Land of the Rising Sun. I unwittingly accepted it and ended up facing a Venasaur with Venoshock that basically IHKOed 2/3 of the Pokémon I brought in (I thought it was a 3 on 3, which was my first mistake). There was herein a failure to account for the fact they've had the game for over 24 hours already. :D

So you can actually trade and battle strangers, but it's harder to organize as it's difficult to discuss exactly what is wanted. I think.

When you're in the main menu or "home menu" click on the square orange smiley face in the top row of icons. This is your friends list, once you've gone through the tutorial scroll over or click on your mii character profile. It should show your mii character bouncing around and say online or offline. Look at the top screen and it will show a larger version of this with your name and friend code underneath.
