4th Gen I'm building a team in pokemon pearl, and i need help.

I asked this on Yahoo answers and got no response.
This team is competitive, but it's my first. Any help, suggestions, input, and advise would be GREATLY appreciated! If you could point out weaknesses and solutions to those weaknesses i would be thrilled.
Things im looking for include: Moves, Hold items, and pokemon. Some Basic Strategies would be nice too.

Blastoise: Role: I'm not sure.
Aqua Tail
Hydro Pump
Ice Beam
Protect (Protect is only there because i fought my friend's Slacking)

Aerodactyl: Role: I was going for a strong, fast sweeper.
Giga Impact
Iron Head
Flamethrower
Earthquake

Bronzong: Role: Im not sure what to call it, but here is the gist. I would use hypnosis to put them to sleep. Then Heal block. Then chip at them while the sleep with Extrasensory.

Hypnosis
Iron Defense
Heal Block
Extrasensory
