Well I've literally played through the G/S/C hundreds of times and R/B/Y about 50/60 times, and I'd say they're pretty fair estimates. So I won't post every team only my original teams for Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver and Crystal the first time I played through each game.

I've got a fun one. I go through my older games on a semi regular basis, and I just went the whole way through Crystal with:

Feraligatr lv 60
Skarmory lv 60
Beedrill lv 60
Vileplume lv 60

That's it. That's as high as the levels got going the whole way through the game, and the other two pokemon on my team at any given point were my "HM slaves". Oh, and the Beedrill definitely pulled its weight, by the way. Took out the Gyarados and Exeggutor on Blue's team at the end. ^^

I have restarted on my Pokémon Crystal a couple of days ago (a friend had borrowed it a long time so I wanted to play it for myself now), and this is my team.

Primeape
Rhydon
Feraligatr
Charizard
Ampharos
Dragonair

They are all level 44-46, so I haven't won the whole game yet, just Johto and 3 Gyms in Kanto. And yes, some of them are traded. Primeape from Red to Silver, then to my Crystal. Never used him in Silver so he was awesome here against Whitney's Miltank.
Charizard came as an egg from Silver and Ampharos as a little Mareep, lv6.

I chose Totodile over Cyndaquil cause I always use Cyndaquil, but not this time. Although I hate that Feraligatr can't learn Watefall. Extremespeed Dratini took care of that tough. The Rhydon got captured in Victory Road (as Rhyhorn).

Because of restarting on Pokemon Red for a monotype challenge, here's my new team:

Noct the Beedrill level 21
Spear the Spearow level 7 (HM slave)
Oddi the Oddish level 14
Zoop the Zubat level 17

Also Gold:

Mark the Cyndaquil level 8.

I cannot remember what my team on Gold was (and I can't find my game anyway), but I just switched my Blue on yesterday and my team was:

All Lv.100. I kinda wanna play through Blue again, but I'm proud of that team and don't wanna lose them. I might trade them over to my Red to save them.

in gold, i used only one pokemon and it was an overpowered Kadabra.
i think it was lv87 when I faught the E4 the first round. it was my first game i ever played so i thought it would evolve into alakazam but nope!

On Blue, only remember using Blastoise and Nidoqueen back then. On Silver my team was Typhlosion, Gyarados, Ampharos, Entei, Ho-Oh, and Lugia.
