~ Empty Life
A signpost lies in
The long lost desert, its wood
Rotting, its message
Long erased by time. Yet, it
Stands there in the wasteland
I am but an empty husk,
That someone shed
Living in eternal dusk
Being as good as dead
A hollow body
An empty life
A deadly melody
Hurt me as knife
That song strikes me
And make me realize
That nothing can minimize
That pain that aches me
And so,
With an empty whistle
I trail down the life road
Yet, I am stuck to my heart's castle
