This. As if my username doesn't give it away, I am a huge fan of this little guy. Jellicent is my second favorite Pokemon of all time and definitely my favorite Ghost type. His design is fabulous, his typing is astounding, and he has superb bulk. I also voted for the Golett family because they are a close second.

Honestly I don't really like any Ghost-types. The idea of training something that's dead and that gives birth to more dead things is... incredibly creepy to me - it's not something I want on my team or anywhere near me. The only ones I do somewhat like are Drifloon/Drifblim because they look wonderful and they're really fun to use in battle with Unburden/Rest/Calm Mind, plus their story is kind of fun too!

This one was the easiest, so I only needed to vote for one choice, especially since Froslass already kicked ass in the ice-tournament!

I had to go with Jellicent.

I love the crowns and frills! Jellicent Male has a stauche like no other and Jellicent Female has puckered lips and a frilly gown. Not to mention, I am a sucker for pokemon lines with forms or major gender differences. I would love to see more lines with gender differences in Kalos, or even added evolutions/forms to previous lines.

I'm more old school so I haven't really tried out any of the newer ones. But I voted for the Misdreavous line. I remember in Pokemon Colleseum, I could not catch that dang Misdreavous and when I finally did, it was awesome, so yeah.

I wanted to vote for all of them because Ghost types are one of my favorite types. My first vote went to Jellicent because they are just plain awesome. They are based off of jellyfish and their design is better than the Tentas. The male's large moustache is also a plus. Marlon's Jellicent put up a good fight against Cameron in the anime, so there're more points.

Golurk was my second pick. When I found out that its feet could turn into rockets, I was instantly amazed. I also like its Pokédex info and its large stature. Its typing is also unique, like Jellicent's.

Last but not least, Dusknoir. I've always liked Dusclops so I was glad when Dusknoir appeared a generation later. I like its cry and that it can receive messages from the spirit world using its antenna.

Ghost is one of those types to have a fair share of fave Pokemon of mine so yeah long list here on what I picked.

Gastly, Haunter, Gengar - aka the original Ghost-types, because they were the only ones at the time of their introduction. And today they are still a popular choice in competitive play thanks to Gengar's good Special Attack and Speed stats, plus Levitate granted it a free immunity to Ground.

Drifloon and Drifblim - I love how adorable these ghostly balloons are, particularly Drifloon. The Ghost/Flying-type is an interesting one but they pull it off well, and not to mention how useful Drifblim is as a Baton Pass user.

Sableye - This cutie with diamond eyes became our first ever Pokemon to have no natural weaknesses thanks to its interesting Dark/Ghost-type. 5th Generation made it even better by giving it Prankster for an ability, and now this thing sees use in competitive play as a great status spammer, like burning physical attackers with Will-O-Wisp before they even get to attack.

Golett and Golurk - Most Ghosts we've seen so far tend to be special attackers or defenders, but we get a decent physical attacker Ghost in these robot golem things. They get some handy abilities and a good diverse movepool which includes the elemental punches. No Guard allows this thing to land perfectly accurate DynamicPunches, and Iron Fist boosts all of its punching attacks in general. Not to mention how interesting and unique the Ground/Ghost typing is.

Frillish and Jellicent - They are among my fave Pokemon ever, and the Water/Ghost typing is an interesting one but pretty good too thanks to getting two immunities, plus a third if you have Water Absorb. I loved how they designed the gender differences, to fit in with the "king and queen" motif that the line has. It's why I loved most of the 5th Gen Ghosts due to the unique typings.

Litwick, Lampent, Chandelure - My absolute fave Ghost line ever, I always wanted a dual Ghost/Fire Pokemon after seeing some Fakemon and one of them was of this type combination, then suddenly come 5th Gen, Game Freak invents this cute line. Chandelure has often seen usage on most of my ingame teams in 5th Gen due to its hard-hitting Special Attack (highest among all non-Legendaries to be specific) and I love the general designs of the three.

My favorite ghost-type would have to be Sableye. From a battler's perspective, it wasn't that good of a Pokémon back in the day, but its usefulness has grown quite a lot ever since it got introduced to the Prankster ability in generation five. This ability allows it to always strike first when it's using non-damaging moves.

I have a Sableye in my Pokémon Black version, which knows Will-O-Wisp, Recover, Taunt, and Toxic. With Will-O-Wisp, it's able to ruin the strength of physical-attacking Pokémon, which makes it easier for me to take them down. Recover allows it to restore itself whenever it's low in health. Taunt gives it a chance to scare away Pokémon that love to stall you, such as Suicune. Finally, with Toxic, it's able to cripple Pokémon who have a very high amount of HP (Chansey and Blissey, for example).

I love this Pokémon, because I've been able to win countless amount of battles with its help. :)

Chandelure: Great typing, design, and shiny form. Although it is a pain to raise, it's so beautiful to behold.

Golurk: I love the idea of flying on one! I have one in one of my games and yes, he's my Fly user. His typing is also unique.

Banette: I'm fond of its design and background story. Also, I do like plushies, even if they're cursed; that just makes them more cuddly.

I actually did the exact same, but for different reasons.

Gengar line because they're a little cheeky (their grins), plus are quite powerful (although stats-wise Gengar is an inferior Alakazam, competitively in Gen IV at least Gengar was better).

Shedinja because of its unique evolution method - it was the first pokémon I obtained by methods other than purely levelling up to evolve, or capturing.

I voted for four families:

Shuppet/Banette: Mainly for shuppet. It's cute! Banette's pretty cool, though.

Duskull/Dusclops/Dusknoir: Mainly for duskull. I don't know why, but I've always liked duskull. It was also my first shiny ever. Dusknoir also gets points for his role in PMD: Explorers. ^-^

Drifloon/Drifblim: Probably my favorite ghost family. When I saw it, I had to include it in my very first Gen IV party. They're very unique, and I think drifloon is especially adorable.

Litwick/Lampent/Chandelure: Like the drif-ghosts, I had to include one in my first Gen V party when I saw them. I really like their motif. Lampent's my favorite of the three; its design somehow appeals to me the most.

Too little love for Sableye and Banette here. Sableye was incredibly useful in Emerald version, and Banette is simply one of the coolest pokémon there is. It has a great design and a terrible origin, haha. Perfect for a ghost type.

But I also want to give the original ghosts a vote. Haunter is badass for some reason, I guess it might be its looks. The typing tells us that maybe they didn't mean to fully make ghost type pokémon ghost-like from the beginning - their ghostly appearance and properties are explained by them being made of gas. Then came Misdreavus and everyone shrugged and started accepting creepy stuff like Drifloom, Dusknoir and Banette xD Nah, I don't know haha.

Let's see.
Gengar - It has the most ghost-like personality, being a prankster. It loves fun, and loves messing with the folks.

Jellicent - I wuv the Pringles man! Er-I mean Jellicent is one of the bulkier Ghost-types, great with taking special attacks, and can hit back somewhat well. Being a Water/Ghost type, it has 2 great STAB moves in Scald and Shadow Ball.

Chandelure - I certainly wouldn't like this Pokemon as my palaces' chandelier. Being my 3rd favourite Pokemon of all time, Chandelure is...peculiar. It is said to light a person's spirit ablaze, leaving just the body behind...one nasty way to dispose of someone in my opinion o_o. Bearing Ghost/Fire typing, and the highest Special Attack out of each and every non-legendary Pokemon, Chandy's Fire Blast leaves scorching holes in anything in its path.

Golurk - Always Transformers. Golurk, having a weird Ground/Ghost typing, has amazing attack stats (bar speed) and a bit of bulk. Having Shadow Punch as a STAB Physical Ghost move, it isn't so gifted, but has good coverage in the much loved DynamicPunch/No Guard combo, the elemental punches and Earthquake as the STAB move.

I voted for Drifloon lines, because they're unique that they're balloon-shaped ghost Pokemon, yet it's awesome.

Jellicent lines, for being the first jellyfish Pokemon that I know, and because one of its ability have potential to disable the moves of the opponents.

Chandelure because the concept of them being lamps (and candles) fits the spooky image of what ghost-type describes.

Golurk lines, because they're looking awesome for the ghost types like them.

Got to say, I'm a sucker for Gengar as he was on my original Pokemon Red team, and I loved him to bits! I also voted for Dusknoir line as I always thought they looked badass

Guys I made an observation regarding the winners of previous types as well the current winning poke family. It seems that people love previous generation pokes especially Kanto and Hoenn pokemons. I don't remember any 4th or 5th gen poke winning the competition. Right?
