This project has been floating around privately for some time now, but it's way past its original deadline, so I've decided to make it public for people wishing to read about it.

A while ago, as some of you may remember, I started a thread concerning a "mini-game". In all reality, that is what I'm creating. Amaretto, Black and White is a game concerning the events of the life of Matt Kerry, a depressed businessman who seems incapable of doing things right. The character is similar to the one in The Death of a Salesman.

Anyways, Matt travels to the town of Amaretto, which was a rural town recently industrialized by the movement of that style in the fifties. The game itself takes place on the night of December 24, 1953, and as such follows the popular culture and political styles of the time. When Matt gets there he meets some strange people and is introduced to "vignettes" of each of them through long conversations he has.
Matt himself is not a nice guy in any way. He's cynical, jaded, and snarky, and hardly changes his ways from the beginning to the end of the story, even though he may decide against suicide at the end (or he will, you decide).

It should be noted that this is not pokemon, or even very much of an RPG, but will still be in the style. You as the player will vaguely control Matt through the city, reaching certain events in the story. It's almost like a book in this way, only much easier to read. Now, without further ado, the game script up to this point. PG-13 for alcohol reference, and language:
Spoiler:

You don't have to read it all at once. In fact, you don't have to read at all. It just gives you a general idea of the story so far, as I'm writing it.
Credits
h POKE- who wrote the whole darn thing
POKEMANIAC- who (I hope) is making the maps
Flood- Who may eventually help in some small way...
Darkerarceus- who helped a little a long the way, but ended up quitting. Quitter!
Yellow_Lover- who happens to be designing the graphics for some parts of the game, because Flood's computer crashed.

Thank you. I do want to leave a lot of the game features to the imagination, and let the writing take hold. A lot of the characters (such as the bartender when you finally meet him formally) go in to a lot of detail, specifically reflecting the "archetypes" of the time. Unfortunately, I don't believe the midwest was a very popular place for the Beat movement. In case you're wondering, the city (or town, depending on how you think of it) of Amaretto supposedly in Arkansas.

heh. Sorry I haven't gotten around to talking about this game much recently. Well, I've written a good amount since I first posted, and now am a little over half way done with the game script! Yay me.
I should hope this doesn't die because, in terms of the writing, it's so much farther along than any of the other games in this section of the forum. Here's to hoping in the future!
EDIT:
I decided, for reasons of my own, to post what I meant to keep private until I finished the whole thing. Unfortunately, my computer may not allow me to do that for much longer, so I put them here for safe-keeping.

Don't worry, all the pieces are coming together. You see, here is my master plan to mass-produce games (sort of):
-Instead of assigning a whole hell of a lot of work to yourself, give skilled specialists the task of making a piece of the game.
-Once you have all the pieces created (because we all know one determined specialist is better than 5 workers doing everything chronologically), assemble!
-Once you've assembled all the parts, edit.

That's how it works. Real life works this way. People here look down on people who need a ton of help for their games, but having a team where everyone works only on one specific area of their expertise works really well. This game, despite what everyone may immediately think, is much farther along than a glance may tell.
