Yeah there are fossils in HG and SS, you can get them by using Rock Smash on the rocks by the Ruins of Alph. However, you can't revive them till Pewter City so you'd might want to use the gifts chaoticlapras suggested instead.

Um, I think I'd like to do this on my Heart Gold version....

Good idea, actually. I didn't think of that. If you have to use an evil team's Pokemon and can only have attacks with 70 base power or less, if you have to have one with more than 70 for whatever reason, just don't use it and delete it whenever you're able to. Thanks for bringing that up. :)

Thanks, Golurk! But you can't get fossil pokemon in HGSS until after you beat the Elite Four, in Kanto, so would you possibly be able to replace that one?

I'd rather you use your favorite. I literally just got done using Altaria in my monocolor in Ruby and I'm having to use it again for this one, so I mean, if I can do it, you can pull through too. Sorry. :(

Yay! I hope you'll have tons of fun. :) You can use a fossil, your favorite, a gift, an NFE, something the evil team uses with attacks below 70 base power, and an ugly Pokemon.
