I agree he probably wants to see if you can help him in his research with mega evolution, and you have to be a strong trainer to do so.

ah these pics are so cooll....but one of them are puzzling me to death. their is a pic that shows the gate to the elite 4. yet he isnt that far in the kalos region due to the pics of the maps. unless its like in kanto wheir the gate is near the 2cnd town which is vermillion city.

I guess you will have the final gym near the starting town like Gen 1 then you go to elite 4.
