As the Corpish retreated with a menacing, final clack of its claws, Leka let out a defiant bark. Puffing out his chest, before circling around and trotting back to Evie, tail wagging. Evie on the other hand, was now doubled over, hands firmly clamped to her knees, as she sucked in air, her chest moving quickly with sharp intakes of short breath. Ok, so she was slightly unfit, but she hadn't thought it had really mattered, till now.

"Good… to…see… you're…ok" she puffed, looking up through a tangled curtain of silver hair. The green ribbon which had been holding back the mass, had come undone during her sprint, but she would worry about that whenever she regained her poise. She didn't bare think about what her company thought of her now.

When at last she caught her breath, she stood, sweeping back her hair with a quick flick of her hand. Revealing her small oval face, her cheeks still slightly flushed from the exertion, with her dark eyes focusing on the retreating form of the Corpish. Reaching down and stroking Leka's ears affectionately, she pulled her gaze away from the silhouette, as it dip down under the waves, meeting the amber gaze of Leka. "Well done" she smiled, flashing her lop sided smile once more as he nuzzle into her hand. "Just remind me to work out more often after this"

Leka snorted in reply, before shaking his head and moving off to the join the other Pokémon. He wanted to compliment them on their work; they had some pretty impressive moves to say the least.

Straightening she beamed at the boy, before nodding at him in greeting. "You sure you're ok though? That was some fight you managed to get yourself into there." At this she walked forward, offering a hand up t help the boy down from the rock. "I'm Evie by the way. That the black ball of fur" she chuckled, nodding towards Leka's retreating back "is Leka."

Glancing over her shoulders, she dipped her head to Wyatt and Jay, her lips curling slightly in a shy smile. "Thanks for the help guys, we make some team! Really sorry about the hurried departure though, figured the situation needed immediate action. Can we start over?"

Wyatt glanced off into the distance as the Corphish ran off. He was thinking if he should chase after it or not. After dismissing that as a rude option he frowned at the boy who had just gotten off the rock, relieved and glad he had given assistance. The boy who had been with Evie drawing had ran after them and had followed up with an attack. "What happened to you?" Wyatt said to the boy, who had gotten off the rock and was standing next to the other boy, with a slightly stern but more concerned tone.

Wyatt shrugged that off and faced back to the girl who introduced herself as Evie. "Sure, why not." he said in reply to her question. "But first..." he handed the sketchbook to her with a grin on his face. He didn't know why but he had never been the type to help someone out like this that he didn't know. Wyatt looked in the other boy's direction who had been right behind him and gave him an inviting smile before turning back to Evie.

Evie stared down at the sketch book in Wyatt's hand, not recognising it at first as her own. The tatty surface and the lose pages cinched it for her, as she spied the ink blot in the left corner. "My sketch book!" she gasped, taking it slowly. "I…" trailing off , she tried to figure out how to say thanks. She had completely forgotten about the small book in her rush to get here that she must have dropped, probably when jumping off the rock, she reasoned with herself, before remembering her manners. She needed to say thanks but her voice had other ideas, momentarily becoming lost, so that all she managed to do was let out a small squeak.

Mouth open, she gapped for a while, appalled at the fact she had just squeaked, and completely unaware of the fact that her face, during this period, bore the resemblance of a magikarp. This was a seemingly new thing for her to do out from now where, without being surprised at least. After a couple of minutes however, she remembered how to talk, and blushing porously, she apologised. "sorry, I kinda forgot my manners there" she jested, reaching back and messing up the back of her hair "let me begin again." She smiled now, trying to cover up her awkward moment before. "Thank you, I hadn't realised I'd lost it. So kind of you to pick it up for me. I owe you one."

The girl seemed devastated by the sketchbook at first as she let out a loud mouse like squeak that seemed to echo in Wyatt's ears causing him to grin as it was kind of cute. He laughed at the girls mouth that gaped to the size that seemed large enough to eat a person before dismissing this as the girl resumed the conversation. She was still blushing, probably embarrassed although Wyatt didn't see why.

"Thank you, I hadn't realized I'd lost it. So kind of you to pick it up for me. I owe you one." she said.

Wyatt calmly asked "No problem but was the sketchbook important?" wishing that he had caught it especially if it was important as the girl made it seem. He felt troubled by the thought but regardless he maintained his friendly grin.

"Important?" Evie repeated, mulling the word around in her head, "Not really, but then it kinda is at the same time" she mused, mostly to herself and unaware that she was speaking out loud. Then she grinned, cocking her head to the left and eyeing the book lovingly. "I suppose it is. It was a present from my Aunt. First sketch book I ever sold anything from too" she glanced up now, looking at Wyatt directly, "so yeah, it is" as she spoke she turned round to face the boy in front of her directly, beginning to absent-mindedly thumb through the thick, yellow pages.

From within the book flashes of bright sunsets, serene pools and water falls flicked by, until she stopped, fingering what looked like a practically well-worn page, it's corners bent in and the white frames smudged grey with lead covered fingers. Opening the book to it's fullest, she stared down at a scene of rolling meadows, golden with fresh wheat, and purple for the lavender harvests, and set in front was a woman, with long blonde hair. She was pretty with golden brown skin, and leaf green eyes set into a heart shaped face. She wore a checked working shirt, and huge rough gloves, brandishing a few pretty, thorn flowers, as she smiled warmly up from the painting.

"Home" she said dreamily, stroking the page, her voice distant. She had almost forgotten her company till she snapped herself out of the trance. "Just a piece of home" she voiced affectionately, tearing herself up from the page and grinning at Wyatt, before slowly beginning to close the book. "Anyway, what brought you to the beach? I hadn't expected to meet so many" she giggled. "Nor for it to be as action packed" she laughed, looking over her shoulder at the boy on the rock.

Roxas Jaden Asakura
- near the dorms

Roxas blinked a few times at Alice as she tried to explain she was feeling better, she started giggling and thanks to this Roxas got quiet for a few minutes with a slight, boyish blush spreading over his cheeks. When Roxas realized his silence he quickly shaked it off and started pushing Alice gently to the dorms, without even noticing the hotness on his face.

"That doesn't work for me, you're going to rest untill you have fully recovered, we don't want you to get even more sick, do we?" Roxas spoke softly as his hands were on the red-haired girl's shoulder. "And i'm going to make sure you get a god rest, so i will stay to-" Roxas cutted off his own sentence since he was about to say something really embaressing.

Roxas entered the Entei dorms, still pushing Alice forward and he saw how people stared at him since he was wearing a suicune dorm jacket. For some reason he knew where Alice's room was and pushed her inside, waiting outside to give her the chance to pull on her pj's

Yuri smiled. She stopped where she was and sat down. "Her name's Kayla... She's my trainer. I don't like the idea of her being alone... Especially since she's somewhere in the forest..." Molly frowned. "She's not going to get hurt, Yuri. This isn't like last night. I can almost guarantee that no big, bad Scyther is going to hurt Kayla." Lumina giggled. "Yay!" Molly shook her head and set the Litwick down. Lumina ran over to Yuri. "Don't worry!" Yuri nodded.

Rosemary hissed at Aipom. "We were with Yuri!" Primrose sighed. "Um... Is your trainer okay? He kind of ran into a tree. I'm pretty sure that isn't... healthy." Rosemary tried to stifle a laugh, but couldn't. She rolled over onto her back and started to laugh. "That... That was hilarious! Do it again! Do it again!" Primrose looked at her and frowned. "H-How is that funny, Rose?" Rosemary snorted. "Come on, Prim! A guy runs into a tree! That has to be funny!" Primrose shook her head.

Kayla pushed Holly in front of her. "Eat her first! She's more moist!" Holly glared at her. "What does that even mean?! You need to calm down!" She grabbed Kayla's wrist and dragged her into the forest. She froze when she heard the sound of something hitting a tree. Kayla screamed and pushed Holly away from her, grabbing onto a tree. "I'm not going any further!" She shook her head. "That could be a Scyther... Cutting down a tree... I bet what they love cutting up most is little girls!" Holly glared at her. "I'll help you get over this," she muttered. "Hello, bug pokemon! Come out, come out, wherever you are!" Kayla gasped. "You want us to die, don't you?" Holly smiled.

Shawn looked at all his friends talking together in his room. It made him happy, but he kinda felt left out. Not knowing what to say or do, he simply stood in the doorway and wondered what his next move would be. First things first, he had to heal his team. Then, he had a few things to buy at the pokemart. "I think I'll have just enough to get them," he thought to himself. Finally, he decided he had to go to the mountains. It would be a long trek, but he was confident that he could handle it.

"So, Andy," he asked, "are you feeling ok enough to walk?" He was concerned for Andy's well-being, of course, but he also wanted to get moving towards his goal. He hoped he wasn't being cold or callous towards him.

Kiki

Kiki smiled happily at Alex and took her chips, eating one, offering one to everyone. She blinked a bit and looked at Shawn, smiling warmly. That was so kind to be concerned with Andy's wellbeing. But she was struck suddenly by the oddest sensation of hyperness. She had to get out of the cramped room, and HAD to move around! She couldn't explain it, but she couldn't. She started fidgeting a bit, looking at her friends, deep in thought.

"Um... I-I'm going to go outside for a minute." she said, shivering slightly. She puled herself off the wall and looked At Shawn, squeesing around him and walking down the hall at a brisk pace until she was outside in the fresh air. She sighed softly, closing her eyes and leaning against the wall.

Lucas McGuire - Forest

Heracross got a little nervous but determined at the same time. 'Did you just say Scyther?' the bug asked while looking at Molly. 'If you don't mind me asking, what happened? Did a Scyther do something to Kayla?' Heracross said as it scooped up Yuri once more.

Aipom floating through the air on the star with Rosemary and Primrose both on it with him. He turns around to them. 'Yeah, he'll be fine. He's just a little easily scared like I said.' Aipom screeched. 'But please don't laugh at him Skitty. I maybe an Aipom, and my nature we can be impish and childish, but I won't let anyone get away with laughing at Lucas.' Aipom sighed, patted it's face and it's stupid grin returned. 'Hehe, so Yuri did you say? So your pal is with my Bug-Pal?'. Lucas slowly got up, suddenly he heard a faint scream, followed by an argument.

After rubbing his face, he turns to Aipom. 'Aipom! I uhh...hello?'. Lucas now sees the Skitty and Pichu chilling out on Aipom's Swift, waving down at the boy. 'Umm well, anyhow..I think I heard talking over this way, let's check it out!'

Yuri frowned. She stood up and started to pace around nervously. Lumina started to follow the pup. "What's wrong?" she asked. Yuri shook her head. "Nothing... I don't want to talk about it." Lumina frowned. "Why not? Molly sighed and picked up the Litwick with Psychic. She looked at Heracross. "Kayla got attacked by a Scyther last night..." She looked at Yuri, who glared at her. "But we really shouldn't talk about this," Molly whispered. "Yuri doesn't like to talk about this."

Primrose sighed. "At least he's okay..." She looked at Rosemary, who had stopped laughing. "Okay... I'll stop laughing." She looked at Lucas. "Hey, wait for me!" She ran after him. Primrose sighed. "That Skitty," she muttered. "Wait for me, Rose!" She ran after the hyper kitten.

Kayla closed her eyes and hugged the tree tighter. "You're in your happy place," she muttered. "You're not in a forest where things are waiting to kill you..." Holly sighed. "This is ridiculous... When it comes to finding the answer to a difficult question, you can do that easily... But walking into a forest? Nope. It's impossible." Kayla glared at her. "And what about you? You're scared of... of basically life! If it weren't for you, then I wouldn't even be here! I wouldn't have to be in this forest! So do me a favor and stop annoying me!" Holly glared at her. Sometimes you're annoying...

"Important? Not really, but then it kinda is at the same time...." The girl cocked her head and stared at here sketchbook intently. "I suppose it is. It was a present from my Aunt. First sketch book I ever sold anything from too." The girl directed her eyesight directly at Wyatt. "So yeah, it is" she said with a contagious feeling that made Wyatt feel like he could take over the world

"Home. Just a piece of home" she said distantly, almost as if her mind was literally at home. The girl looked up again and closed the book leisurely. "Anyway, what brought you to the beach? I hadn't expected to meet so many" she said with a giggle. "Nor for it to be as action packed" she said as she eyed the boy who had been stranded upon the rock.

Wyatt frowned and looked up towards the ocean, feeling as distant as Evie when she was thinking of home. His mind entered a state of reverie for a moment, thinking of having an adventure before the crisp breeze on the beach brought him back to reality. "I came here so I can become better at being a trainer. Not a stronger one but a better one" he said turning back to face her with a solemn look on his face. He felt so relieved that he had finally met someone who he might be able to call a friend. "Will you.." Wyatt started but he caught himself and didn't speak for a moment. He was going to ask her if she would be his friend but he felt so childish doing so. He changed the subject, still facing her but this time his face was glistening in high spirit. "What dorm are you in?" he asked half-anxiously. Maybe if they were both in Raikou Dorm they would see each other more.

James "Jay" Rybak

After the battle, Emil flew onto my left shoulder to sing a sweet melody of delight. Nalafari smirked with his beak, and did a couple of loops in the air to presumably show off. Then, Nalafari perched atop my head like he was the king of the world. Samuel flew onto my right shoulder to cuddle my neck with his soft tuffs of feathers. Afterwards,Samuel flew to beside Leka to chirp to Leka as if he was congratulating Leka for the triumph of the battle against the Corpish.

"I'm Evie by the way. That the black ball of fur" Evie chuckled, and nodded towards Leka's withdrawing back "is Leka." A timid smile appeared on Evie's face, "Thanks for the help guys, we make some team! Really sorry about the hurried departure though, figured the situation needed immediate action. Can we start over?"

"Sure, why not." Wyatt answered Evie's question. "But first...," Wyatt returned Evie's sketchbook to her with a grin. Wyatt gave me a welcoming smile before returning to talk to Evie.

As Evie and Wyatt talked to each other, I listened to the conversation with a want to speak up within myself. However, I do not want to be rude and interrupt their conversation. I waited patiently for a "hole" in the conversation to connect to the conversation. I wasn't sure how to join the conversation, and I felt nervous and uneasy. I inhaled the air with the mixed scent of the ocean and theplains, and exhaled into the air to try to compose myself. I took a moment or two to try to form an idea within my head to formulate a plan of what to contribute to the discussion. Once I've caught the plan inside my thought process like catching a fish in a fisherman's net, I looked towards Wyatt and Evie, just waiting for the right moment to speak.

Evie Bellarost

Evie listened intently to Wyatt as he explained his presence, tucking a stray strand of silver hair behind her ear as she did so, a small welcoming smile plastered across her rose petal, pink lips.

"I came here so I can become better at being a trainer. Not a stronger one but a better one"

At this Evie allowed her smile to grow, showing a flash of white teeth before she let out a chuckle. "I'm here to do the same!" she replied merrily. "Me and Leka are a good team but we still have much to learn. Though I am specialising in medicine and biology."

Here she shot a quick glance over to her Pokémon who was now sat, quietly in the company of Samuel, Jay's Pidgy. He was growling softly, every now and then flicking his ears in conversation. It had been awhile since Evie had seen him this happy in other Pokémon's company. Due to being on the ranch, bar driving season, it was usually just him and her, so she guessed it must be refreshing for him to have another fellow Pokémon to talk to. Looking back, she caught Wyatt just in time as he spoke again.

"Will you.." Wyatt trailed off here, causing Evie to arch a quizzical eyebrow. Will I what? She thought, looking at Wyatt intently, trying to figure out the next half of the sentence. He seemed awkward saying it, until just as quickly as the shyness had appeared in her company, it was gone again. He began again, this time his facial expression turning to one filled with joy, so much so that Evie couldn't help but return it. Beaming once again, she happily answered his following question.

"What dorm are you in?"

Suddenly remembering that she had left her dorm jacket back in her room, she giggled. "I'm in Raikou Dorm. Just joined today too" she chirped happily, before she suddenly remembered her manners. She had been so caught up in conversation with Wyatt, that she had forgotten the others. Feeling rude, she blushed apologetically before pushing down her nerves and looking over to Jay and the rock boy, who had yet to introduce himself.

"What about you guys?" she returned the question to Wyatt, but while doing so sent the two boys, who were stood in silence, an inviting smile. Jay seemed eager but had not spoken up, almost as if he was waiting for the right moment. Here's your chance then Jay. She thought, smiling softly to herself. The boy almost seemed as shy as her.

Leka grinned as Samuel flew over to him, letting out a welcoming, gruff bark. "they were some nice moves you've got there" He laughed, bowing his head in respect to his company. "been awhile since I have seen any battling action. But it was an honour to get a chance to fight alongside you" He let off a fox-ish grin here before continuing merrily. "How long have you been with your trainer? I mean you, Nalafari and Emil. You work so well together, couldn't have just come naturally right?" he asked out of deep curiosity, he'd never seen that many bird types, let alone seen them fight, that the experience had been completely new to him and that didn't happened every day.

Valorie Ryder - ??? (Joint Post)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Valorie took a moment to get her mind back into the battle before abruptly issuing a single command.

"Flygon, Fire Blast!" she called out in a confident tone. Flygon took a deep breath, flames licking at the edges of her maw, before lurching forward and launching a flaming fire projectile in the shape of... a star. Why did that move take that shape anyway? Regardless, the move was explosive and threatened to burn Commodore to a nice crisp--if it hit.

Sparks were already flying as the battle began. Right off the bat, Valorie had Flygon use Fire Blast, an extremely power Fire Type move... Commodore took the attack head on and took a fair amount of damage from it. He was good at tanking a couple strong hits thankfully, but now it was time to set up and change the field toward Mark's advantage.

"Good start Val! I wouldn't expect less! However... we're just starting. Commodore! Trick Room!" Mark called out. Commodore's eyes began to give off a white glow, as a large box materialized around them. The dimension around them had completely switched around. Commodore was suddenly much faster then Flygon thanks to this move, so he had some time to pull off another move.

"Commodore! Recover!" Mark called out. Commodore gave off a feint glow and suddenly, most of his wounds were healed. Almost good as new. With Trick Room up, Mark felt he had a good advantage now. Time to see how Valorie would counter...

And then Valorie started moving at insane speeds Flygon seemed unphased by the apparent lack of an effect to her attack. Valorie on the other hand frowned, a tad concerned for obvious reasons. You see, Flygon wasn't trained to be able to boost her power artificially. This was as strong as she got. She also had this feeling Commodore wouldn't fall for an attract... "...Alright Flygon, use Dragon Claw!" she called out, attempting to take advantage of Flygon's superior physical strength. The dragon pokemon took to the air, flying directly at Commodore. One of her claws began to glow with power, hinting at the blow that was to come, a powerful swipe

Commodore braced itself for the incoming attack. Another strong move... this Pokemon was packed with them. Valorie didn't disappoint. Commodore was hit by the attack. It was taking a bit of a beating but was hanging in there. Mark was still setting up... if he could get this all to work, Commodore would be one heck of a tank. Time for step two!

"Hm. Commodore! Reflect!" Mark called out. Commodore generated a physical barrier around itself, doubling its defenses. Commodore would be able to take a lot more hits now and get even with Flygon. Mark's eyes were sparking with confidence.

"I told you Val! I came prepared this time!" Mark said to her with a cheery expression.

Valorie grimaced. Was... Mark mocking her?! She didn't much appreciate the reminder. Regardless, there were bigger things to concentrate on. Namely, not /losing this battle/! So that was Mark's game, hmm? As a matter of fact, she /did/ know just what to do here! "Flygon, crunch!" she demanded. The dragon type pokemon once again launched itself forward in a violent manner, opening her mouth wide and snatching Commodore out of the air, biting down harshly and totally shaking the smaller pokemon around as if it were a chew toy. That being said, she was attempting to use her powerful jaws to /crack down/ on Commodore's heightened defenses... literally.

Drat. Crunch. Commodore's defenses certainly went down a bit, but his reflective barrier was still in effect thankfully. The last thing he needed was Brick Break. Hopefully Flygon didn't know that move or Commodore was as good as done! While Commodore was being chewed on by Flygon, it attempted to get a steady shot toward Flygon... time to go on the offensive!

"Commodore! Retaliate with Signal Beam!!" Mark called out. Commodore steadied his aim toward Flygon for a point blank shot to get out of Flygon's fangs. Mark would have gone for Conversion 2, but Mark needed to make sure of what moves Flygon had in store. Normal Typing was Mark's safest bet for now... talk about situational.

Valorie watched as Flygon let go, a signal beam pushing the large, heavy dragon off. Flygon landed on her feet and vibrated her wings at a high speed as if to help balance, hunching over in preparation for a retaliation. Unlike say Dragonite, Flygon was not an exceedingly bulky pokemon. The attack was not shrugged off, rather it left a noticeable bruise on her body. "...Flygon, don't let up! Crunch /again/!" Valorie called out decisively, and Flygon did just that, lunging back at Commodore with her admittedly crippled speed and once again gripping him in her jaws, trying to bite down into it. Ewww... dragon drool!

This was going to go on until Commodore was down for the count at this rate... Commodore was able to keep his defenses from going down this time thankfully, and reflect gave him plenty of bulk, even if Crunch was starting to tear it down.

"...Commodore! Recover!" Mark called out. Commodore was going to Tank his way through this battle, and so far it was working. Commodore was still being bitten by Flygon but attempted to recover its wounds once more. Commodore wasn't down for the count just yet. Mark smiled at Valorie.

"You've gotten a lot better since our battle at the beach, I can tell...guess I picked the right trainer to look up to." Mark complimented. Valorie was part of Mark's inspiration to get more advanced with Pokemon Battling... Mark was slowly starting to let her know that as they battled... both through words and combat.

Valorie quirked an eyebrow in a testy manner, declining to respond for a moment. Man, now wasn't a time for casual conversation! It was a time to battle! Your charms won't work on me, Mark! Contrary to what he said, the battle wasn't going as planned for her. She was suddenly intimately aware that she was not satisfied with Flygon's performance. She just wasn't making progress here! Crunch was taking far too long to pierce Commodore's defenses and if she gave up and went back to Fire Blast she would be effectively halting progress and starting over from square one, only worse! "...I'm not done /yet/." she said in a somewhat distracted manner. Her father was watching, and her mother... and a /boy/! She just /had/ to be impressive now! Disregarding the fact that, y'know, she /always/ felt that way about every battle.

"Flygon, Roost!" she called out, and the dragon pokemon abruptly changed directions, spitting Commodore out and landing--She stopped not long after, and proceeded to hunch over as if in anticipation of an attack. In her non-active state, she seemed to be redirected energy to healing herself. See, Mark? I can play that game too! Hmph!

Mark smirked. He could save the praise for later. He had the edge in this battle after all! He'd save this for after the battle. Flygon spat Commodore onto the ground and landed onto the ground to heal herself as well. Mark wasn't aware of the move himself... but it was similar to recover that's for sure, just for flying types possibly. Still... Flygon didn't seem as bulky as Commodore. Maybe he could still win this...!

"Commodore! Again! Signal Beam!" Mark shouted. If they were going to both keep healing, they'd just have to keep going until one of them couldn't do so anymore! Commodore still had a Lum berry... guess it wouldn't come to much use this battle... he thought anyways. Mark felt like he might actually win this time!

But... Mark was thinking... Valorie's parents were watching... the whole point of the battle was to show off how much she had improved! But... Mark seemed to have a bit of an advantage. He didn't know what would happen if he happened to win... and he knew Val tended to get pretty down when she lost. It wouldn't be much better with her parents watching... He wondered what they were thinking as they watched the battle...

Flygon was struck with a signal beam attack and hunkered down, becoming irritable. She then stumbled towards Commodore in an awkward manner. What was she doing? She seemed off-balance, and perhaps... dizzy? It only took Valorie a moment to realize that Flygon was confused. Problems, problems... What did she have left in her arsenal of moves? Her only real option was to go on the full offense and hope it worked out well for her. This was really a ... problem. "Flygon, Crunch!" she commanded, hoping that her strategy would pay off, even though she had earlier observed it really hadn't been competing with Commodore's reflect all that well. The dragon pokemon lunged and snapped her jaws around Commodore, biting down with her full force... and then something weird started to happen. Whatever Mark had done earlier was wearing off! Flygon wasn't moving sluggishly anymore! Valorie saw a chance for a combo. "...Now, Fire Blast!" she commanded out loud, and Flygon used her tactical advantage of having Commodore in her mouth to secure a solid hit on Commodore, likely blasting him out of her mouth in the process. Having a fire blast hit inside her mouth was painful for her too, however, and scorched her a bit.

Trick Room had worn off! Not good! Commodore had returned to normal speed! It caused Flygon to regain his speed and get yet another attack in! It didn't seem too necessary to use Trick Room again at this rate... Mark had to quit stalling and go all out! Thankfully Signal Beam was lucky enough to Confuse Flygon. However she was going through the confusion pretty well so far... Flygon managed to use Crunch and Fire Blast all at once now that Trick Room had worn off... To make matter worse, Commodore wasn't looking too good. That Fire Blast had inflicted him with a Burn... at least, this would be a problem if Commodore wasn't prepared. Commodore was holding a Lum Berry.

Being artificial, Commodore didn't exactly eat the berry, but rather absorbed its nutrients, still gaining the same effect and quickly curing his Burn. Time to keep fighting on... Commodore took a heavy hit from those last two attacks... but maybe Flygons Confusion would work to his advantage.

"Commodore, Once more! Signal Beam!" Mark called out. Commodore floated up into the air and aimed its Signal Beam toward Flygon once more.

Flygon narrowed her eyes as she took the blast, a low groan escaping her mouth. She hadn't gone down. Valorie was starting to sense that now would be a good time to stop trying to break Commodore's defenses and just hit them as hard as she could. "Alright Flygon! Dragon Claw! Finish it!" she commanded. The dragon pokemon's claws began to glow with draconic energy and Flygon lunged at Commodore... only to promptly faceplant into the dirt in a painful looking manner as if she had been excessively dizzy. Well... That was a problem.

Commodore braced itself for the incoming attack. This Dragon Claw was sure to get him good, or possibly finish him off. He doubted Recover would be able to keep up with Dragon Claw. Was this it? Fortunately, Flygon stumbled and completely missed Commodore, face-planting the ground. It was Mark's lucky day... Time to get Flygon while she's down!

"Signal Beam!" Mark called out. Commodore floated back a distance and fired yet another attack toward Flygon. Unfortunately this was the only attack Mark could get away with using since Discharge wouldn't be effective at all. A shame seeing how powerful Discharge could be...

Flygon sort of spasmed a bit as she was hit with another signal beam attack before... fainting. She did not even start to get up. Valorie stared, slightly in disbelief and partially in disgust. She pursed her lips, an expression of embarrassed and anger crossing her face. This was... /ridiculous/! How could she lose... to /Mark/! She could barely handle standing in /Selene's/ shadow, and she was actually /trying/ to do that! No... No she refused to stand there and deal with this. This was /humiliating/! A part of her really didn't want her parents to see her this way. Another part of her absolutely did /not/ want to hear what any of them had to say. She didn't even care what it was! She didn't want to hear it! To that end she promptly used Dragonite to fly away, allowing herself to be scooped up before the gargantuan pokemon took off. Dragonite glanced briefly back at Mark in a not overly thrilled manner before she took off, quickly gaining an extreme burst of speed that would've prevented anyone from following her even if they tried. Huh... extreme speed. Valorie's father narrowed his eyes in a thoughtful manner, and her mother just sort of looked helpless as this went on.

Kiyoko? Well, he was coming with Valorie.

'Fateful' Encounters

Part Three

Valorie, being a sore loser, left on Dragonite. Kiyoko, half-scared Valorie was just going to explode do something in her current rage, only curled himself into a ball. He wasn't even sure why Valorie was so furious. He glanced up occasionally, hoping to ask her what's going on, but... He was ultimately too scared to.

Mark had won against Valorie... he was almost about to jump for joy but... the victory was bittersweet. Valorie was enraged! She quickly brought out Dragonite and had flown off. No no! This wasn't happening... Mark was starting to regret winning the battle now... he didn't want this to hurt their friendship! But... it was just a battle... you can't win them all... Valorie was taking this way too seriously... But he was still concerned.

"V-Val! Wait!" Mark begged. Before Mark even had a chance, Valorie flew off with her Dragonite at an extremely fast speed. Mark wasn't even sure where she had went... Mark just had to ask her to battle... he could have at least allowed her to win and impress her parents... Mark was just so focused on showing off himself! He was training to be able to take on whoever faced him... He wasn't even sure what her parents were thinking. He just feel down to his knees silently with an upset expression.

"..."

He looked at Valorie's parents wanting to say something... but was having trouble coming up with the words... Commodore had a guilty expression as well. He knew how much Mark liked Valorie and this wasn't going to help...So much for a good thanksgiving... He didn't even know what to do now or where to start. He felt like he should look for Valorie... but where did he start? He looked over to Valorie's folks again.

"I...I'm sorry... I... didn't mean to get her like that... I..." He just paused right there. At this point he was spouting out whatever popped up in his mind.

Lucas McGuire - Forest

'Well, from what I know about this forest, one of the meanest Scyther's was caught earlier. It was trying to take over my mother's terrority..but a friend of Lucas's captured it so, hopefully we won't have any trouble.' Heracross looked at it's claws, then clenched tightly. 'So any sign of Kayla?'

Lucas noticed the Skitty and Pichu hop off of Aipom's swift star and run off into the forest. Aipom somersaulted off the swift, and landed on Lucas's arm which he held out for Aipom to land on. Aipom flung it's tail onto a branch as Lucas held onto the Pokemon as they swung through the forest attempting to catch up to the two Pokemon and the two voices.

Orange Henry
(On The Beach)

"Well, I've been here for about 4 hours, and I've been having a great time! The dorm I'm in, Raioku, what else? I am at a loss for battling, and can't remember stupid type matchups. I flunked the battling portion, and got an average grade for the written portion. In a nutshell, my name is Orange, and I want to be the best pokemon researcher in the entire world." I reply. I hope I don't seem like a complete idiot to them! I know I can be a bit odd and helpless at times, but I can be sorta cool. I mean, I know how to make a wannabe pokedex from scratch. Who am I kidding, that's not cool to most people. I manage to give off a weak smile, despite my inner sadness.

Alice Crenshaw
Academy Grounds -> Entei Dorm

Wow, Alice did not see this coming along. Not only she saw Roxas, who was the one who could turn her cheeks as red as her hair using only words, but now he was pushing her back to the dorms? Was that...allowed? She would have said something about it; she was, however, too embarassed and overwhelmed by that situation to do so. She could only watch as the boy continued to talk to her and push her towards the Entei Dorm building, which she had left a matter of minutes before. Then Roxas stopped, and to Alice's surprise both of them were outside her dorm room.

"Wait, R-Roxas, h-how'd you k-know where I-" she said before she was pushed inside.

Jello floated behind them, keeping an eye on Roxas. When he pushed his trainer inside her room, the purple Solosis dashed inside, and joined Alice, whose face could not be more red.

"Alice, what is he doing? Pushing you around like that..." he said telepathically to Alice.

"N-Nothing...He just...w-worries..." she said, putting both of her index fingers together.

"I don't like this..." he replied, "I don't like him."

But Alice did not listen to those last words. Instead she approached the door shyly, opened it and looked at the Suicune Dorm kid who was waiting for her. "Umm, Roxas...I...I'm okay...really..." she said.
