PCX: Come Celebrate 10 Years Of The PokéCommunity!

You're invited to celebrate the PokéCommunity's 10th Anniversary.
The 10th Anniversary Get-Together starts September 24.

What is the Get-Together?

This month, the PokéCommunity turned 10 years old! To celebrate this important milestone, get together with your favorite band of members and mingle with entirely new ones - the Get-Together is aptly named for being a community event where everyone is invited to get together! (There's that word again.)

The 10th Anniversary Get-Together runs for seven days. It commences from midnight (Eastern Daylight Time) on September 24 and finishes up at 11:59 PM September 30.

For the fourth consecutive year of the Get-Together, as with every other year we've a swag of member-run events for everyone to participate in; we've done our best to cater for a good bunch of the many things you might be interested in! As with every Get-Together, we've also got the traditional chat thread happening - a place to chat and chat, moreso about the past 10 years!

Events will take place in a dedicated event forum which you will be able to see from midnight on the 24th of September. Mark the calendar and be sure to attend!

Pokémon Anime Snapshot
Take a snapshot of the Pokemon anime, then try to match it with the given theme.

IRL Pokemon Snapshot
Do you ever feel like Pokemon are around you? Maybe they are! Take a photo of things in real life that represent Pokemon (like mushroom = Amoonguss) and earn points to win.

Hey guys!

My name is Darren, or Latios as I used to be known many years ago. I used to run a Pokémon website called Shining Misdreavus. It wasn't huge, but we did have a few members who were loyal and I had a great time running it. I remember signing up to these forums back in 2003 but never really used them that much. Looking back at my posts are rather embarassing, I would recommend others try to move forward and not look back.. >_<

I have disregarded and ignored e-mails from Pokécommunity for years, I still get them from time to time but my interest in Pokémon has left me now. I will always value and respect the series but sadly I have no further interest in the franchise. But, I just had to come back here to wish you guys a happy 10th anniversary, it's great to see that you're still going and I wish you all the best for the future.

I may not be a fan of Pokémon anymore, but I am still a huge fan of Nintendo and gaming, that will probably never change. I am a big Metroid fan these days, if there are any fans of that franchise, I guess you can get in touch if you want to chat further, just drop me a PM or something..

But seriously well done guys, I hope your community event goes well. Thanks for the memories!

Oh that's kinda awesome that the GT has brought back some of the oldest members! Shame you can't stay but PC definitely appreciates the kind words.
