Guardians of the Pink Penny [revived] (Sign-Up/OOC Discussion)

Plot:

Far away in a distant land, there is a silver wishing fountain called the Fountain of Purity. Legend says the fountain was built thousands of years ago by a race of an ancient group of Yoshi. After the fountain was built, the Yoshi filled it with clear and pure holy water. Whenever someone would need something or when hard times fell upon them, a Yoshi would throw a penny into the fountain and make a wish. News of the fountain's wish granting properties spread throughout the land like wildfire, and soon others traveled to the fountain to have their wishes granted. Even today, the fountain still stands and still grants wishes. Although the intentions of the Yoshi to build the fountain were humble in the beginning, the fountain has been targeted by someone whos intentions aren't so humble..

Bowser, being as greedy as he is, has forced the native Yoshi out of their area and claimed the fountain for himself. He has built a large, towering castle in front of the fountain, along with a huge iron fortress around the fountain so that nobody else can get to it. Bowser controls a huge army of soldiers to guard his whole territory, castle, and the iron fortress surrounding the fountain. He has sent his soldiers out to invade Mushroom Kingdom so he can try and take over. Bowser has even gone as far as tainting the water with a cursed potion he has created, so the fountain will be tricked into granting wishes only for him.

Since the Koopa and Goomba invasion, Mushroom Kingdom is going through some hard times, and Princess Peach is doing everything she can to save the kingdom. An intense drought has fallen on the kingdom, causing rivers and lakes to diminish and food sources to run low. Even worse, Bowser's soldiers are raiding and destroying villages in the kingdom. There are so many of them, it's getting harder and harder to fight them off. Princess Peach has enlisted the help of Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Yoshi to defend the kingdom to keep Bowser's army at bay. However, the drought Mushroom Kingdom is suffering is also a big problem--if the drought doesn't break, then the kingdom will die and everyone will be forced to leave. Because of this, Princess Peach has decided to try one last thing: to depend on the Fountain of Purity. She has sent announcements throughout the kingdom calling for anyone willing to take her last magic wishing penny to the fountain so that the kingdom may survive. Peach's last penny holds the key to breaking Bowser's control over the fountain: it is blessed by the pure heart of Princess Peach and is the only thing that could break Bowser's curse. Normally, Mario and Luigi would do it, however they are unable to because they are busy protecting the kingdom and fending off the invasion. The journey won't be easy at all; whoever chooses to make the trip will face dangerous enemies, and ultimately King Bowser himself. The risk must be taken though, for if things continue the way they are, then Mushroom Kingdom will fall to Bowser's will...

Your Role:

You will be a part of the group that will take the trip to bring Princess Peach's wishing penny to the Fountain of Purity. Along the way, it will be your job to help fight off King Bowser's soldiers to protect Mushroom Kingdom and your ultimate goal will be to help make sure that Princess Peach's penny makes it to the Fountain of Purity and her wish is granted.

Origin: Hoken Village

Appearance: Mateo's height is just slightly above average for a Toad, but he is of average size and weight. Mateo's eyes and hair are both a light, smoky gray. Unlike most Toads, which have spots on their mushroom hats, Mateo has triangles instead of spots. The triangles on his mushroom hat are a light gray in color. A little tuft of Mateo's hair sticks out in a somewhat messy way out from under his mushroom hat. He wears a forest green colored vest that is outlined in light brown along with matching shoes. He also wears light brown pants that are outlined in green. Aside from basic articles of clothing, Mateo also wears a small brown pouch that hangs from around his neck, which is used to hold his flute.

Background: Mateo grew up in the Hoken Village, which is located one of the forests of MushroomKingdom. Both Toads and Yoshi live peacefully together within the village, and are naturally at home in their forest environment. At a very young age, Mateo showed he had a natural affinity for music. His father hand carved a wooden flute for him when he was seven years old and taught him how to play it. Mateo proved to have a natural talent for playing the flute. The villagers would often ask him to play a few notes on his flute for them, and he would always be happy to oblige. He learned how to tell stories through his music and how to express his feelings through the sounds of his flute. Mateo would often take long walks through the forest, just playing his flute. He would often get inspired by the sounds of the animals in the forest and would make up his own songs as he walked. As he got older, Mateo grew exceptionally attached to his wooden flute, and he keeps it with him at all times. Now, he knows countless amounts of songs to play with his flute, and is always eager to learn more.

Personality: Mateo is a calm and peaceful kind of Toad and he likes to read when he isn't playing his music. He is very observant too, and likes to go on walks to just take a look around at his surroundings. Mateo is also very curious as well; he would often get himself into mischief by sneaking away from the village to explore the forest when he was young. Most of the time he is even-tempered, and he doesn't anger very easily. He has some trouble talking about his feelings or his emotions by just speaking, so he expresses them through his music. Mateo normally uses a calm tone while talking to someone.

Tools/Weapons: Wooden flute-Allows Mateo to play his music any particular way he desires. Used both as a musical instrument and as a weapon against enemies.

Abilities: Mateo is a very gifted flutist. His melodies and songs he plays on his flute can be used both for offense and defense when facing an enemy. He can use his music to put an enemy to sleep, to distract them, or for powerful sound attacks to stun them or knock them away. If all else fails, he can use his flute as a bat or hammer to hit an enemy. He also has very good observational qualities and can think quickly on his feet when he needs to.

RP Sample:

The little blue bird hopped out onto the edge of the tree branch looking this way and that, curious to see who or what was playing that song and where it was coming from. It was a calm and gentle melody being played with soft notes of music. Beneath the tree, there was a winding road going through the forest. It was littered with twigs and fallen leaves here and there, and the bright sun's rays broke through the high branches of the trees to give the forest a slight glow. Up ahead, a Toad could be seen making his way through the forest, walking on the winding forest path. He was the source of the music being played. He played his wooden flute as he walked. The Toad's name was Mateo. He frequently took walks through the forest, his melodies being heard by whoever happened to be in the area. As he neared the tree, the little blue bird began to sing. As he walked past the tree, the Toad heard the bird's singing and stops walking, but still playing his flute. He walked up to the tree and looked up at the bird and played to the bird's song. When the bird stopped singing, he stopped playing.

"Hm..I think I liked my song more when you joined in," said Mateo wish a slight smile, looking up at the bird with his gray eyes. The bird looked back down at him for a second, then it just chirped a couple of times and flew away.

Mateo laughed a little to himself and continued on his way down the road, playing his flute. He was headed to his favorite spot in the forest, which was a small lake situated in a small clearing. At the edge of the lake, there is a large boulder that Mateo likes to sit on. After a little while of walking, Mateo reached the clearing where the lake was. He put his flute away and looked around and saw the huge boulder sitting in its usual spot at the edge of the lake. He approached the boulder and climbed up on it. For a few moments, he just sat there and looked out at the lake. The surface of the water glistened as the sunlight was reflected in tiny pinpoint flashes of light. Mateo opened his pouch and took out a bag of strawberries, which was his favorite food. He ate the strawberries in a pleased manner. After he finished eating, he laid back on the rock and looked up at the clouds. He sighed in relaxation and soon dozed off into a deep sleep. His snores were slightly audible as his chest moved gently up and down while he slept.

"Zzzz..wha-ouch!" said Mateo. He had fallen off the boulder in his sleep and landed painfully on his head. He rubbed his throbbing head, his vision a little blurry. Getting to his feet, Mateo dusted himself off and rubbed his eyes and looked around. The sun was setting and it was approaching dusk, and the sky was slowly fading from light blue to a dark black color. The setting sun made the sky look a deep reddish color that mixed with the blackening sky.

"I guess I should start off back home," Mateo sighed, wanting to stay out at the lake all night. He rubbed his head a little and took out his flute. "Back to Hoken it is then..." So he began to make his way back through the forest, calmly playing his flute along the way as he walked.

Background: Ichigo was born to Lord Ashley Mininyuu and his wife Amanda, they lived in a great castle a top a hill that looked over a small mist filled town. they loved their son and could call him nothing else then Ichigo, after the Great god of the harvest, for the ancients of the Town believed that he was the reincarnation of Strawberrie´s human warrior form Ichigo.

Ichigo was raised under the teachings of the ancients and soon learned to fight as his namesake, this led him to making many foolish mistakes in his early youth: such as the loss of his favorite Pony because he believed that Strawberrie would protect him from any harm. (The horse died from an Arrow to the heart.)

He then lost his best friend Benny, due to his arrogance. Benny died after the boys attempted to hunt down the legendary Black Boar, the animal trampled Benny to death and all Ichigo had to remember him by is the brown feather that he always wears, (it's a pen! XD).

Ichigo never forgave himself for Benny's death and turned his back on the town of his birth hopping that he could run away from the memories of all his past deeds if he ran from the town in which they took place.

He lives in silence now not accepting his namesake in a small town that has no name, he feels that he no longer deserves to be called Ichigo so he tries to go by his last name MininYuu, (little dragon). Although the people of the town have grown fond of him and have banned against him and forced him to accept his first name. He loves everyone in the town and takes care of them as best he can from his small home in the woods. He watches them live their daily lives under the great mountain known only as Monkey, (Total Gorillaz tribute here!). These people care not for the world below the mountain and they count on Ichigo to keep the Strange folk, (outsiders) from disturbing the peace in the town. That is why Ichigo Joined the Samurai Duelist League, he hopes to show people that his new home is not to be dealt with in any way shape or form and he will give his life to keep the Strange folk from disturbing the town.

Personality: Depressed, very very depressed. Ichigo isn't known to smile often and he cries on regular occasions. when angered however he is known to be ruthless and will not think at all when it comes to his own safety or the safety of his fellow fighters. He will try on regular occasions to kill himself.
Tools/Weapons: A long double bladed silver sword with gold flecks and Bronze trim, he uses it effectively and only when attacked.
Abilities: When he talks everyone stops to listen. In such that Even his enemies will stop to listen to the beautiful song or Poem that he is saying.
Likes: Quiet.
Dislikes: Disturbances of the peace.

Ichigo ran a hand over his arm, How long had it been? Two years... Three? who could really tell? He stood from the tree in which he could always be found, the road that lead to the bottom of the mountain swerved below him as he walked back towards the town. "Who would care?" he wondered as he walked slowly, "If I left this world and told no one."

Stopping suddenly tears in his eyes he recalls a memory that he did not wish to see, Him as a young boy, running along side his best friend Benny. He shakes his head in Attempts to scare away the memories, "LEAVE ME ALONE!" he shouts and runs head long into the nearby forest, "GO AWAY! IT WASN'T ME! IT WAS THE BOAR! NOT ME!" he shouts as he runs, he ran with no true destination. Stopping at a tall tree he looks around, no one was around, the voices... had they been real? He runs a hand threw his hair and sighs deep, "I have to get back..." he says and turns to where he thought the town was, he finds suddenly that he was unsure which way to go. "..........Elda...." he whispers to himself.

Taking slow steps he walks threw the woods, he didn't know where to go or if he was going the right way but he somehow knew... that he had to go that way, towards the top of the mountain, something called to him, something he had never felt before. A since of adventure fills his chest as he nears the top, "What awaits me?" he wonders as he passes a large rock shape very much like, "A Pipe!?"

Name/Nickname: Haru Takami (former prince of Onitako Castle)

Origin: Onitako Castle*

Appearance: Haru has spikey, messy brown hair hat hangs down over his eyes, a small golden crown resting snugly around one of the spikes. His hair usually covers his eyes, which are different colored. His left eye is an emerald-blue color, while his right is a golden white. He stands at about 5'7" and weighs a minute 100 lbs even. Haru wears a yellow zipped-up vest over a dark-grey T-shirt with black seams, but will occasionally unzip the vest if he feels like it. He also wears a pair of dark grey pants that go down to just above his ankles, and have odd, dark-black seams that run all over them, along with yellow belts just above the knees constricting the legs, making them look like bell bottoms. His shoes are dark grey, with black stripes and soles, a single yellow belt holding the zipper in place. To complete the outfit he has yellow fingerless gloves with a dark-grey circle at the wrist, a black stripe running along the middle finger(the only solid finger on the gloves) and continues past the circle to the edge of the glove, but splits out to cover one edge of the circle.

Background: Haru was the prince of Onitako castle, a castle near the oceanic edge of the mushroom kingdom(just south of waterworld from SMB3)The castle had a perfect view of the ocean and haru would spend many hours either fishing, swimming, or practicing with a sword, instaid of doing his chores or other princely duties. His father often reffered to him as a "Free-spirited boy, who only wants to be a child" which was the case, he would often sneak out of the castle, leaving his crown behind and mingle with the children of the village, often getting into trouble for it in the end. In recent years however, the oceans have stopped producing fish for catching, and the ocean's waters have begun to burn all who touch it. Haru is the last member of his family because, on that fateful day, their castle fell to a sudden koopa/goomba raid, and his family died, his mother, his father, and even his younger sister. He was in the village at the time, and when he returned he found the castle in ruins. Adorning his crown one last time he left his castle, and headed out to help the princess on her quest. It should also be noted that the sword he carries holds special meaning to him, as it is shaped like a key, the 'key of legend' he remembered from his old bedtime stories when he was younger.(that's right, i'm actually hoping that the "Mushroom Kingdom Hearts" game is a true article, and they aren't just pulling our legs on the matter)

Personality: Haru is usually a very happy-go-lucky guy, and will often try to be funny. Try being the key word. He also tries to lighten the mood, but has little success at that also. When the moment calls for ir though, he will be serious and a trained fighter. Any mention of family or someone special will instantly put haru into a state of depression where he won't talk to anyone or do anything but make circles in the dirt with his finger. Just thump him over the head to snap him out of it though then you can get back to what you're doing.

Tools/Weapons: key of legend / keyblade(kingdom key)

Abilities: Haru has the ability to read movements to an extent and predict certain things such as movements and speech. He also has slightly above average speed and stamina from long hours of swimming in the ocean before it turned toxic.

Likes: Swimming, sleeping, eating, practicing with his sword, and 'trying' to be funny.
Dislikes: Mention of loved ones or family members, sour foods, people who interrupt his naps.
RP Sample:

Haru blinked as he searched for the acrobatic boy, looking as normal as when he had arrived in this strange place, save the cat-like eyes he now sported. "Hey! Kenji!" he called in vain, moving from room while searching. He passed through what appeared to be a large theater, a normal-sized living room, and a bathroom, before coming on to an apparently empty kitchen. "Yo, kenji, you in here?" he called again, his stomach growling rather loudly.

"man...I need food...." he muttered to himself, rubbing his aching stomach and realising the whole ordeal with the earthquake had increased his appetite by bounds. "Kei won't mind if I eat a little on the job..right? Right..." he reassured himself, making his way over to the large refridgerator, not noticing the small 'shlap' his shoes began to make as he gripped the sterling silver handles, pulling the door open and looking inside.

"veggies...fish...blech...I'm a cat and I still dont like fish..." he chuckled to himself, searching through the many shelves, before coming across a fully-cooked steak wrapped in plastic wrap. "just my kind of snack!" he cheered triumphantly, pulling the large lump of cold meat from the fridge and unwrapping it, noticing a plate sitting on the counter. Once the slight shock subsided he sighed. "you know, this lace keeps feeling more and more haunted as I look around...you know, if you're alive and can hear me..." he called to the walls and celing "you can stop doing stuff like this, seriously, just fill the next cubbord I look in with plates or things like that and i'll be fine....and don't forget the raw stuff too! I like to cook..." he muttered, wondering just how stupid he must sound talking to an empty room like it could hear him.

He put the steak on the plate and turned to the microwave, as a fork sat in a small tray next to it. "subtle..." he muttered, pulling the fork from the tray and seeing all the other utensels in the tray, spoons and knives and spatulas. "man....just hurry up so I can eat..." he muttered, closing the microwave on his food and reaching for a number button, although all he noticed was a single button that merely said 'Cook' in smooth white letters against the black button. "odd...if this thing overcooks it i'm smashing the damn thing..." he said, also to noone in particular, pressing the button where the time switched to the word "Cooking" turning and putting the fork to his lips in thought at the strange room he noticed something he had failed to earlier.

Blood.

For the second time today he did the only thing a self-respecting teenage boy would do, and screamed like a little girl, dropping the fork to the floor as the microwave beeped behind him, the word "Done" where it had previously said cooking.

Shadow merely put his fingers where his ears would be, had he any, apparently rolling his eyes by the way the glowing yellow ovals moved.

Name: Delila Boo

Age: Seventeen [[17]]

Race: Boo

Origin: Boo Mansion

Appearance: Delila is a regular looking Boo, or at least she's similar in appearance with other Boos who she was raised along with. However even though she's a female Boo, don't expect her to look as drop dead gorgeous as Lady Bow, because unlike that female Boo, she isn't a pale shade of green, instead Delila is a pale shade of lavender that goes well with soft and slightly abnormally large pink eyes.

What makes her slightly different than regular Boos is that she has demonic-like lavender horns that stick out of her head while her small tail has an arrow-tip that gives her more of a demonic appearance than other Boos. And also she has a tendency to wear various accessories since she wears different sorts of hair related objects depending on her mood and how good it looks on her. Sometimes a daisy could be seen hanging from the side of her head while other times she'll have a small black hat or a simple headband wrapped around her round head. After all she is a girl, and most girls change their clothing since they tend to get bored with their looks from time to time.

Background: Delila Boo was raised in the Boo Mansion, just like many Boos like herself was. She did what regular Boos did, which consisted of scaring random strangers when away from the mansion, being apart of the Anti-Mario Bros. Club, and doing whatever King Boo requested her to do whenever he wanted. However she did have a hobby that many Boo frowned at and this was gardening. Delila loved to take care of plants in the backyard of the Boo Mansion, for even though she was a dead ghost, she still could raise something so precious... So alive.

However her happy days in the Boo Mansion ended abruptly after King Bowser excluded the Boos from his master plan of stealing the Fountain of Purity. Which was why King Boo selected her to represent the Boos in the Boo Mansion and go join the "do-gooders" so she could beat the bloody pulp out of Bowser for not including his allies, the Boos. Although personally, she isn't too happy that she'll have to leave her home to hang around a bunch of happy-go-lucky people who she was taught to dislike throughout most of her life in the Boo Mansion.

Personality: Delila isn't a bad Boo, for even though she looks demonic and is a Boo. She does have a good heart, she just shows it whenever she's alone in a garden or if she's alone with flowers. After all whenever she's surrounded by graceful and beautiful smelling plants, she becomes very relaxed and content. However whenever she's not in this peaceful state, she is just a regular Boo who is never too happy nor too mad. She can be seen as a bit rude as well, especially when dealing with non-Boos. For her participation in the Anti-Mario Bros. Club has taught her to treat any and all "do-gooders" with disrespect.

Delila isn't a quiet shy Boo, nor is she a loud obnoxious Boo. She speaks her mind when she wants to and she keeps silent when she doesn't feel like talking. She'll do things when she wants unless she is ordered to do something by a superior. Which is why she could be considered loyal, for once you gain her trust and respect, you have a Boo who is willing to do whatever she could to help out.

Tools/Weapons: A bouquet of flowers could never really been seen as a "weapon", however Delila uses her special bouquet of flowers to make her opponents sleep or become paralyzed due to their aroma. Also if that fails, she'll just wave her bouquet around until petals start hurling themselves over at her opponents so they'll get minor cuts, scratches, and slashes from the petals.

Abilities: Just like all Boos, Delila can become invisible, intangible, and can go through solid objects such as walls so she could get from place to place without any obstacles in her way.

Likes: Delila likes flowers, gardening, peaceful places, Boos, the Boo Mansion, Lady Bow, and King Boo.

Dislikes: "Do-gooders", the quest, Bowser, extremely loud sounds, and fire.

RP Sample:
This Sample was taken from an e-mail roleplay I did with a girl, it's much longer than my usual posts since I was using two characters and describing the setting. But it gives you a decent idea of how I write. [[Written on 11-11-07]]

In the middle of the woods, a small area of trees were knocked down and a military camp for teenagers whose ages ranged from thirteen to eighteen went there for various reasons. Some went just because their parents wanted to, while others went there since they had a tendency to cause too much problems and trouble in their old school. Which was why Camp RoughenHouser was made to make sure that the teenagers would ditch their bad ways and be as good as regular teenagers. Perhaps even better.
Although most of the time the complete opposite would happen.

Camp RoughenHouse was surrounded by a very tall fence that had barbed wire at the top of it to prevent any teenagers from escaping the military camp while no one was watching. It also had cabins scattered in the northern section of the camp, these cabins were small and had two bunk beds in each. They were only for the teenagers none of them were co-ed, so most guys were disappointed to figure that out by the end of the day. In the western area of the camp, nearby the regular teen cabins, were the slightly large cabins that each either had one bed or two beds. For some councilors shared rooms with one another while others preferred to have a room all to themselves for various reasons.

As for the eastern and southern sections? Well there was a medium sized building that was the building where breakfast, lunch, and dinner were served. There was another building that was for first aid, supplies, and other things that were put in storage. The rest of the space was basically obstacle courses or empty undecided space.

This was the place where Steven Blaire, a twenty-one year old male, worked at. Why? He enjoyed making the good-for-nothing male teenagers sweat and even cry like little girls. But he especially enjoyed bossing around the females, yup nothing else made him more content than pushing around an innocent looking girl. Of course he never told his fellow co-workers this, but who would want to reveal their sick fantasies if that meant his job would be taken away?

It wasn't as if the girls hated him, most of them blushed and felt the famous butterflies fluttering in their stomach as soon as they heard his smooth, low-pitched voice. Their knees shook as they watched him remove his shirt after a long jog since he owned pretty impressive muscles on his arms, chest, and stomach. Not only was his body god-like to the teenagers, but his face too was eye-candy to them. For he had pitch black eyes that seemed to sparkle with mischief from time to time, his hair went down up to his mid-back and usually was kept in a low-ponytail. His hair also had crimson streaks in it that everyone found fashionable and it made him even more good-looking in the eyes of many.

But for now, the male was too busy sleeping in his bed to be bothering anyone. And amazingly no one else was seen on that same bed, a big surprise. But it wouldn't stay that way, for today was going to be the day where new campers were going to arrive in Camp RoughenHouser, which meant that he'd have new people to drag into his room while no one was looking. Yup so the new teenagers should brace themselves for the worst, for Steven was no pushover.

While a certain camp councilor was sleeping, a young sixteen year old was looking out the window of a bus that she was currently riding on. It was currently five in the morning, but since Military Camps were different than normal camps, the bus had picked her and other teenagers early to take them to 'hell' as some teens described Military Camp to the five foot brunette. However she didn't seem to mind leaving home and going to Camp RoughenHouser, actually her emerald eyes sparkled with curiosity and excitement as she watched the amount of trees outside increase. Meaning that the bus was closer and closer to getting to the camp. But why was such an innocent looking teen being sent to this place? Well the funny thing was that she had accidentally burned her school down, or at least most of it since the firefighters managed to save twenty-five percent of the school building. However when she admitted that it was an accident, no one believed her and she was sent to Camp RoughenHouser to change her 'bad morals'. Oh well, it was an excuse to have a brand new adventure, or atleast that's how the optimistic female saw this odd situation as.

As for her appearance? This girl named Carol Cadena was a girl who had a slight tan on her skin due to the large amount of time she spent outdoors during her free time. Her waist-length brown hair was kept in two separate high pig-tails since she hated how 'yucky' she looked with her hair down. And she still had strands of loose hair that were consisted of her 'bangs' as people called them, although none of these strands of hair ever covered her eyes. As for her attire, she wore a red long-sleeved t-shirt with matching jeans and white sneakers. And although her outfit wasn't tight, it wasn't loose either. It didn't really help show off her curves at all, but then again... The sixteen year old female lacked curves that many other females possessed, which was why Carol looked more like a thirteen year old than a sixteen year old.

ok, now that we've got enough to technicly start the RP, let me just point out a few things that i've noticed during my time in the RP community.

1: enthusiasm twords an RP is a good thing, but don't go overboard. nobody likes someone who is TOO cheery.

2: RP's take TIME. You can't rush into it or it ruins it for everyone, you also can't take too long or you'll lose interest.

3: More RPers isn't always better. More simply means that multiple things are happening at one time, and on a single-thread RP like this one, it can get confusing if there are way too many of you. Too few and if one person goes missing it can get the RP closed due to inactivity.

4: Having fun is essential. If you don't enjoy the RP any more, it will show in your posts and it ruins it for every one else that is participating. RPs are likes fads, they come and go. if you're liking for an RP has gone, don't feel ashamed to admit it and ask to take your leave.

5: Don't be one of those people who take all the cheap shots. GMing is way low and can lose you all respect in the RP community. I've known several people who were regected solely on the base that they were known to godmode.

6: Most important for the RP members - DONT ARGUE WITH THE RP CREATOR. This comes into play when the RPC tells you something that can, or cannot be done, within some restrictions. If you don't listen it can often get you booted from an RP. If you feel that you have been booted unfairly, find evidence to why it is unfair and try to plead your case to a higher athority, it rarely works. but hey, if you're evidence is solid, and you make a good case, who knows? You might just get back in.

7: Most important for the RPC - Be FAIR. Noone likes a stick in the mud with a superiority complex. enforce your rules fairly, and don't be afraid to near the boundaries, without stepping over them atleast. If they have what you'd believe to be a cheap ability, simply ask them to put a restriction on it(i.e. if they had an invisibility ability, make it so they can only stay invisible for a certain ammount of time, or their clothes cannot be invisible)
BUT - don't let them push you around. EVERYONE dose it. Yes, everyone. I've been known to pressure an RPC from time to time, but usually in a positive way. beware negative pressure as it simply means that they want to take advantage of you. Once they have some control over you, they wont let go untill you "Rip it from their cold, lifeless, fingers" as the old saying goes.

Wow..um..well I do appreciate your tips and whatnot SilverTail. I'll just say that first. But I do have experience in running/participating in RPs and I think I can run this RP effectively. However, now that you did point it out, I suppose I'll start the RP now since it would be easier the less amount of people we have and that way there's less people to wait on. So thanks for your advice!

Name/Nickname: Uncle Rus, just Rus for the most part.

Age: 84 (bob-bom years)

Race: Bob-Bom

Origin: Straight from the Bob-Bom Valley

Appearance:Uncle Rus resembles your average every day Bob-bom, though with age his skin dulled. His Imperial helmet lay crooked on his head, and a bushy white handle bar mustache to serve for his mouth. With old green eyes, they peer through the lumps of fluff which soposidly are his eyebrows.

Background: Rus was born in the days of great tragedy, most of the mushroom kingdom was in complete peril. The Koopa klans were amassing at the borders of Bob-bom valley, they attacked any caravan with supplies heading in or out of the valley. This left the population in a state of Drepession. Loved ones lost to starvation.. or worse.. Rus was orphaned, His very existance was tested during these times.

As the years passed, so did the depression's grip on society. Rus has become a hardy young bob-bom, his only intent now is to end this nightmare. Upon joining the imperial forces he was assigned a post as a cannoneer, this taught him to seize any oprotunity he can get his hands on.. if he had hands that is.. Eventually the war came to an end and Rus came home in one peice.. or so it seemed like that. Rus's mind has been exposed to death and chaos, morphing his outlook on life completly. He never married or have the warmth of love in his heart, he has become a fortress of emotion. Also, the imperial force was disbanded and so was Rus's paycheck.

He roamed the kingdom in search for work ( or even food for that matter ) just to survive. He lived like this for Decades until he came by a small angry spined turtle with firey orange hair, this being offered Rus a deal. " YOU DER!, capture the bootyful pwincess peach fo me and yoo will be general of my army!" it said in a loud tone ( even if he talked like a baby). Rus was proposed an offer he couldn't refuse, he desperatly yerned for a better life. It was the night of Peach's 3rd birthday, she lay sleeping in her crib. The gentle wind blew through her open window, it was then a black figure came through the window. Rus slowley inched his way towards the crib, sweat pouring from his body. He peered into the crib to lock gaze's with the lustrious blue eyes of the young princess she watched him and smiled, it was then his fortress crumbled. His heart melted and tears poured out of his eyes (bob-boms can cry!?) "so beutiful... I just can't do it!" he said softly as he rushed towards the window and was never heard from again...

Rus spent the remainder of his days in a cottage just oustide of Bob-bom valley. He would seldomly visit the local village for a drink of chocolate milk and gossip. It was on the day of one of his local trips to the village, he stumbled apon a paratroopa with a rather large load of letters. The bag burst open due to the weight, Thousands of pink letters filled the sky. One just to happened to land on Rus's Head....

Personality: Rus is a Bob-bom, and Bob-bom express their emotion quite "explosively." His short temper gets the better of him almost every time, leading to him blowing up quite violently. Other then that though his exterior feelings are cold and unpleasent. He is very impatiant at sometimes, though this can be fixed with changing the subject on him. War has molded his outlook on danger, namely how he deals with it. Rus will usually laugh at such things and rush in full throttle. Making him a very ignorent, stubborn mule of a bob-bom. Once his mind is made up, you would need a bulldozer to even have a slight chance of changing it.

Tools/Weapons: like most bob-boms, their most effective weapon of choice is.. exploding.. The force of these explosions are decided by the bob-bom, be it a playful "pop" to an earth shattering KABOOOM. Using his strong feet, Rus will propell him self in the air and land on his enemies with crushing force. If a cannon is available, he will use this as well.

Abilities:
ability one: dive bomb~ shoots rus high into the air, he comes crashing down on his target with massive force.
ability two: boom~ light explosion, fast recovery
ability three: Kaboom~ bigger explosion, self takes damage, slow recovery
ability four: BIG BANG BOOM~ massive explosion, user takes huge damage, are we there yet?
ability five: The End~ the bob-bom's most powerful move. At the cost of thier life force, a bob-bom is thrown into a fury of explosion after explosion each getting more powerful then the last, eventually the user will attach itself to the target and explode with a force of 5 tonnes of dynamite. Truely a glorious end. If one should witness this event, look to the sky and you will see the stars form the shape of the user.

Likes: spicey food, happy faces, a good explosion every little while, adventures, CHOCOLATE

Dislikes: water, premature explosions, unfreindly guests, bowser, bowser, and did i mention bowser?

RP Sample:
The day was long for Rus, he spent most of his morning walking. Tired from his trip to the village, he decided to take a rest on a rock. Though the rock had to disagree and began hopping around ( sneaky little thwumps ). Serveral minutes passed before Rus decided to teach the little thwump a lesson. He lit his fuse and dashed towards the foe, exploding half way there. Due to the premature explosion, Rus's feelings lay in shambles. "not again.." he moaned as he shuffled towards the bar.

Upon arriving at the bar, Rus looked around to find that it was full of activity. He frowned and took a seat at the counter, "gimme a glass of the sweet stuff" he said softly with hsi face to the countertop. Moments later a glass of chocolate milk sat infront of him, this was the silver lineing in Rus's day. He quickly sat straight and gulped the lovely drink down, with joy in his face. Uncle Rus had finished his glass of chocolate milk and licked his mustache clean. With a smile Rus signalled the barkeep for another, impatiently waiting for the glass of heaven to arrive. The few minutes it took for that milk to come seemed like an eternity for Rus. It was only when the milk arived that he calmed down. It was in the hands of a pretty little boo, she was wearing an apron with yellow flower decorations. She placed the drink infront of Rus and smiled oddly "h-heres your drink sir" she said nervously, stareing at the drink. Rus examined the drink for a moment, he then looked back to the boo "thankyou miss, your dismissed" he said softly. The boo didn't budge though, she just tilted her head and said "go on, d-drink it" she mumbled with her eyes fixated on the drink. Rus's eyes grew small, he sniffed the drink and he frowned "a hint of death shroom? tsk tsk.." he said softly as he pushed the drink aside. "thats not the first time that brute bowser sent boo's to assassinate me miss" he said sternely. He looked around the room and noticed a sheet of paper on the wall, his picture pasted on it. It read "WANTED: DEAD~ Uncle Rus, for disobeying a direct order from young lord bowser him self: five hundred thousand gold coins to the one who claims his life." he began to laugh. "took him 3 years to find out who i am?" Rus said with a smirk

Every soul in the bar glared at Rus, some began walking towards him. "Well look at the time!, gotta run!" Rus cried with a chuckle as he darted for the door. Rus didn't stop running not even to rest. He ran for days not keeping track of his surroundings, eventually he just collapsed in the forrest. A small goomba was playing in the local forest that day, his face full of innosence. He eventually came by something he has never seen before, the unconcious body of a bob-bom. He proceeded to get closer to this strange being, he was so close he could lick it. Rus groaned, causing the child to scream in fright. Moments later the child returned with his village, the little goomba jumped up and down near Rus. "thats the monsta!" he cried. The goombas surrounded Rus and dragged him into the bushes...

He awoke in a bed with several GoomGrandma surrounding him. They stared and whispered, until the oldest stepped foward. "What brings a Bob-bom so deep into goomba native territory?" she asked in a loud voice, "I am a castaway, being hunted by bowser's goons" Rus said weakly. The old goomba sat confused, "who is this Bowser?" she said shortly after. Rus's eyes widened *they dont know who bowser is!?* he shouted in his head. he shook his head and smiled "oh don't worry about bowser, he doesn't come near goomba territory" he said assuringly. After explaining the story to the elders, they agree'd to let Rus stay with them as long as he liked. Rus spent several years with the village, learning their ways and fighting techniques. But Rus knew he had to say goodbye, he didn't belong. He said his farewells and set out on the road again... But thats another story.

@TheOldKoot: Okay, the overall information of your character is nice, but the way you put the information together needs work. I noticed many spelling errors in your sig-up and your form needs work. Although I wouldn't expect a bob-omb's appearance to require a huge detail, I think the fact that your character's old should be reason enough to make the background longer and more detailed to tell about his life. Aside from spelling errors, punctuation/sentence formatting needs ALOT of work. I would also like it if your RP sample would be longer [about the length of mine or a little less]. For now, you're pending until you fix your sign-up.

Awesome! There's a Bomb-Bomb in this roleplay! Cause no Mario Roleplay is complete without a bomb-bomb! I was about to enter this roleplay with a Bomb-Bomb character, but then I decided to enter with a Boo. I also like the fact that the Bomb-Bomb is an old guy who will probably be nagging the 'young people' about tons of things. Either that or I could easily imagine him boring the 'young people' with stories of the 'good ol days'.

Okay I should really shut up now before getting carried away. XDD As you could tell I am pretty excited about this roleplay. Especially since it got pretty nice and unique characters in it.

Don't worry, I have everything figured out SilverTail. Including what types of enemies we'll run into. I don't wanna spoil the RP, so you'll just have to see as the RP goes. As for the warp pipes, they still work, but there are certain limitations. Dont worry, you'll see how everything works during the RP.

Okay guys, I've been noticing that the posts [mine included] have been entirely too short. I'd like it if everyone made longer posts so that it makes the RP look better. I know it's kinda hard because your post looks longer while you type it, and when you actually post it, it looks WAY shorter because your sentences are stretched out. Just hit the preview button as you do your post to keep track of the length that way you know how long your post is going to look.

@Cariger: you've been doing a good job with your posts. They've been of good length and filled with detail. Keep it up

@SilverTail: your posts have been pretty good, and you've been doing pretty well with detail. Just more length in your posts will be appreciated ;

@TheOldKoot: your posts aren't bad Koot, its just your sentence formatting that needs some work. Remember, dialogue can be a tricky thing. Remember, new paragraphs when the dialogue changes between DIFFERENT speakers. If your character is still speaking then there's no need for a new paragraph and new set of quotes with each statement your character makes. If your character does some sort of action or speaks at different times, just break the dialogue. For example:

"I am a bomb," said Uncle Rus. His mustache twitched as he spoke. "My explosions are loud."

You see? Rus spoke, but at different times. The dialogue was broken but Rus was still the one speaking. I just broke the dialogue because he spoke at different times. Just study simple paragraph form more, and your posts will look much better. Adding more detail will make your posts look better too. I'm sorry if it seems like I'm attacking you, I'm just trying to help. ;;

I'm really not trying to criticize anyone, I just don't want a mod coming in and closing the RP because of something as simple as post length/formatting. I'll do my part to make my posts look better, and I'd appreciate it if everyone else did their best too

Thank you for your comment Gyro. As much as I would love to change how I format my paragraphs, it just never works. I spend the larger half of an hour on some posts, and yet they all turn out the same.

But if this is of to much concern for you i will try harder. With a little miracle, I might be able to pull it off.
