The demo will go as far as Metrostone City, or in other words, the second city. You will also get to visit 2 other towns and another city, along with a few routes and a forest. You get to battle the gym leader, Grant, who uses Rock type. There will be a total of about 20 custom Pokémon from Koyoto, and another 20 catchable non-Koyoto Pokémon available.

The 2nd demo should be much better, with a newly designed Pokédex, possibly new graphics, a new layout for the Pokémon stats screens, many new Pokémon and more. It should have a total of 4 towns and 4 cities, and should end after you get the 3rd gym badge. This demo should be released by the end of the year. After this demo, the complete game will be released. It will have all Koyoto Pokémon, all towns and cities, and everything else. This should be released by mid/late 2009. It's going to take a lot of work, so I think Lorem Ipsum should take attention to all of what I said.

I esspecially like the new Pokemon.
I'd add more features though, like up to Lv. 150 or something (example)
But, I'll support it, it looks great.

Right, the next person to ask when the demo is released is going to find their post reported. It clearly states in the board rules not to ask when release dates are.

dpokemaniac12, you will be able to play the game simply by downloading it when it is uploaded, and then simply running it.

No, I am not back. Sorry if I gave anyone high hopes lol.

I will probably finish this demo off to the end, and I've had a bit of help from Lorem Ipsum. Then I'll be off again and he will be continuing from there. It's just that the demo is taking longer than expected, and I wanted to help speed things up. So by the look of it, we're looking at a demo release date of 15th July or so. Don't be disappointed because I won't be a part of the project anymore.

It looks like your back sprite could use some work.

I guess it could, but our spriter says trainer sprites aren't her specialty... she's awesome at Pokemon back sprites though!

Now I know you haven't seen the starter town in a very long time, but that's because I've never been happy with it. It's changed many, many times. My guess is around 7 or 8. But now I think I finally found a look that I think is perfect for it, so here it is. Presenting: Hazelbranch Town!

pattern on your grass would probably be a good idea, though. Your maps look kinda
bland. Now I'm not telling you to the change the palette colors, just the pattern on
the grass.

Apart from that, I'm really looking forward to the demo! Hurry up with it!

Thanks. I guess I could change the pattern, but I use the Nintendo pattern and that seems to be the cleanest =/
But I can give it a shot to see what it looks like.

And something I've been thinking about a lot lately - should we have custom graphics? I mean, not EVERYTHING being custom, just trees, signs, grass etc. But I don't know which to use D:

Well, not exactly an update today, but I do have a little surprise for you! A new addition to our Pokédex.. but you can't see it yet D:



I'll reveal it only when someone guesses correctly what it is.. or if they come close enough. The winner also gets to see its evolved form before it gets revealed here! If you already know what it is, please don't tell as it will spoil it for everyone else.

Well, if you go to the pixel art area theres a nice htread called the "More tiles from me" (which is alastairs tiles)

and then kyldove has some somewhere, not the sinnoh set, a different one.
