Hey this is WINGZRO17.
I'm gonna teach you how to edit the backsprite(hero) of Pokemon FIRE RED.

First off, you need these:
VBA
APE
TILE MOLESTER ALTERNATE (Get it from ZOPHAR's DOMAIN)
(ALSO, keep a zip file of it. It likes to crash right after it uses a rom.)
Spoiler:

A FIRE RED ROM
A PALETTE OF YOUR SPRITE(I used Brendan's from ruby.)
A PICTURE(BMP,GIF,ECT) OF YOUR SPRITE(BRENDAN'S ^_^)

I think that's just about it...

Step 1 - Palette Editing(You don't need to, but it's nice to.)

First off, get into a battle:

Spoiler:

Then goto:
Spoiler:

After that Save the OBJ:
Spoiler:

Make sure it's Paintshop PAL
Spoiler:

Next, open up APE and search for you palette(if you do, you'll come up with two offsets: the second one is the backsprite.)....or
Since I'm nice, I'll give you the offset(Sorry, only hero's offset)
Spoiler:

I'll replace the hero's pallete with brendan's pallete...

Spoiler:

P.S. It's a good idea to save the palette as a TLP palette after you replaced it. We're gonna need it.

Part 2 - Editing the Sprite:

Now, open TMA(TILE MOLESTER ALTERNATE)

Now goto offset(I think it's NAVIGATE - GOTO or just press CTRL+G)
Spoiler:

Spoiler:

As you see it's...Well....Erm....kinda messed up

So time to fix it!

First:
Spoiler:

Spoiler:

Then:
Spoiler:

So you see it's fixed.

Now goto PALETTE - IMPORT FORM - ANOTHER FILE
Spoiler:

Import your palette file
Spoiler:
.....And look! Pretty!
Spoiler:

So then we goto VIEW - BLOCK GRID AND....
Spoiler:

Yay! Were almost done!

Now: EDIT - PASTE FROM....
Spoiler:

And select your file...
Spoiler:

WHOA!
Spoiler:

Now fix....
Spoiler:

W0000t! (DON'T forget to SAVE)

Now for the finished product....
Spoiler:

Congrats, you did it!

I hope this tutorial helps.

Excuse me, but what is the offset of girl backsprite?

Uhh
well idk.
There's one way of finding it,
you just go into to battle with the female trainer, and save the palette.
VBA>Battle as girl>Tools>Palette viewer>Save OBJ>.pal file(paintshop)
Then search it in APE.(I think compressed.)
There is a number of offsets, but just replace them all with your new palette, I did that since the palette of my backsprite is the same as the palette of my trainercard sprite.
If you find it please post it so I can put it in the thread.
Thanks.
