I could indexed the sprites myself. It's only the drawing part that I sucked really badly.

i can't seem to get my first pokemon, whenever i go to prof oak in the lab an exclamation mark pops above my head and the game just freezes

I don't want to be pessimistic but there is another bug. If you don't press A before the last charizard flashing the sprite will be glitched but that's great in the other stuff
