Hi i on episode 49 And when team rocket fell of theyre boat and theyre pokeballs fell i heard jessie say Aghh My lickitung!
When did she catch lickitung? i watched all the episode 1-52 (3 banned episodes)
and she never caught a lickitung

So when does jessie catch Lickitung

I'm tempted to Bulba this, but going off my 5+ year memory I believe it was on or around the episode of the beauty pageant that Misty also participated in, with the prize of a doll-set and house.

I watched it and that never happend
i watched 1-49 and no Lickitung EVER appeared

Actually she catches it earlier but they mixed up the episodes because of the banned Porygon one so some episodes orders were changed in every other dub and she doesn't catch Lickitung until later on in a dubbed version but they still translated that part.

Lol i looked this up that was meant to appear after princess vs princess but i think they played it early

Jessie captured Lickitung in a fit of rage after it ate all her food and temporarily paralyzed her Arbok. Lickitung was the first Pokémon Jessie captured in the anime and in Kanto, and it is the first Pokémon Team Rocket as a whole captured in the anime.

Basically, she caught it because she wanted it to stop. So she can eventually trade it to someone else to get it away from her.

Actually she traded a away because she was battling near a trading machine and she got knocked over and the Pokball fell onto the machine and it was traded for a Wobbufet.

Yer I saw that episode, its the one with the Beauty Pageant, but thats not in the episodes 1-51 I don't think (well not completely sure it could be) but the banned episodes stuffed around with the order (like the safari one banned from everywhere but china explained alot which was in non banned episodes which confused people)

According to Bulbapedia, Jessie's Lickitung first appeared in Princess Versus Princess, though it was mentioned in So Near, Yet So Farfetch'd.

It was traded for her Wobbuffet in Tricks of the Trade, and it hasn't been seen since.

Hope that clears up the confusion.

I was re-watching the series and noticed this big mistake. I thought I missed Jessie catching the lickitung, then looked up she catches it in episode 52: Princess Vs Princess. So I decided to watch that first before episode 49, So Near, Yet So Farfetch'd.. Can't do it because Togepi is already hatched in Princess Vs Princess and not in episode 49, in which Misty leaves the egg and the others' backpacks when she tries to follow the Farfetch'd.

To me, that is a big mistake. I don't think it's the people who dubbed the series' fault. Since Togepi was hatched after episode 49 (episode 50 Togepi was hatched)....and episode 52 is when Jessie officially captures lickitung not before episode 49, isn't it the writers/animators fault for adding the third pokeball in the water? Because either way if this episode was suppose to air later....that is still before Togepi was hatched...so episode 52 could never be aired before Togepi ... man, this is messed up lol..

I know its way too old to even worry about, but it isn't just a minor mistake.

I just wanted to put my two sense in lol.
