G/S/C - Common Pokemon Challenge

sorta forgot about this...

so i started with chikorita, named him Richard. did quite a bit of grinding and then i caught a zubat named Bats!. i proceeded to grind more so that Bats! would learn bite, which she did, and then she conquered the patch of grass before violet city. falkner was taken down by Richard with a poison powder/reflect/tackle combination. it was good. then i caught a sandshrew and named her Moose; she got trained. the rockets and bugsy were destroyed in azalea, as well as whitney in goldenrod, morty in ecruteak, chuck in cianwood, jasmine in olivine, and pryce in mahogany. yes, i beat them all just now. i'm amazing. and now i'm in ice path.

I beat Bugsy, reached Goldenrod and just obtained 3 Everstones in the Bug Catching Contest with a Scyther, 2 Pinsir, a couple of Soft Resets, and the ability to change the time.

The only one that could already evolve. Neglected it a bit for some time in favor of mainly Geodude, but it gained some levels while doing the contests.

OhDude / Geodude Lv.22 m @ Everstone
- Headbutt
- Selfdestruct
- Rock Throw
- Magnitude
Geodude is suck an awesome thing, mainly because pretty much nothing uses special attacks early on

Anorexius / Bellsprout Lv.15 m @ Everstone
- Vine Whip
- Growth
- Wrap
- Sleep Powder
Finally got Sleep Powder. Still underleved because it sucks against 3 of the first 4 gyms.

Ok, i just wanted to start the Aquisition Challenge, and then i saw i still didn't finish this here. Last save was at Ecruteak, Morty has already been beaten, Team in the mid 20s. I fought my way to Olivine and did the Lighthouse, but somewhere on the sea i got screwed by a Gyarados trainer, and of course i hadn't saved eternally, so i've to do all that stuff again... But not now, i'm not in the mood for it...

Oh, and did i really write "Geodude is suck an awesome thing" in my last post? lol...


Update time: Did stuff again and beat Chuck.

Wing Attack AND Fly because Fly is so unreliable, but i don't want an extra Flying slave. Mud Slap mainly for the Accuracy loss since the AI never switches. Swift is a filler to beat Double Teamers.

- Headbutt
- Selfdestruct
- Rock Throw
- Magnitude
Decided not to give it Rollout, i'm going with the reliable option instead.

Why, why does the Bellsprout line learn Razor Leaf soo late, while Chikorita gets it at level 7? That's unfair lol...

Update: After beating the next 2 gym leaders and Team Rocket, i had a lot of trouble defeating Clair. After a ton of attempts, i finally managed to beat her thanks to Bellsprout's brutal attacking power in the form of Sludge Bomb, which OHKOd Dragonairs, some Evasionhax (Mud Slap), Sleep Powder not mssing on Kingdra and no crits, paralysis for Clair. and fought my way to Victory Road, but lost to my rival due to 2 unlucky critd by his Typhlosion. Of course, i hadn't saved since before Clair. I really don't learn from mistakes...
So, i'm grinding now so i can win without Bellsprout not getting paralyzed and without Geodude exploding on the ice Beam Dragonair and without Kingdra not using Hyper Beam when Bellsprout is weakened and whatever else...


So, after doing all that stuff again, i'm now having major troubles getting past Will. Bellsprout gets OHKOd by any Psychic, while the other 2 members of my team simply suck, and even if they beat Xatu, i can't get past Jynx. So it's time for even more grinding, aarrgh...

I really have no alternative to these moves. Pidgey's HP type is grass, which is useless. Return is no option, it faints pretty often. Any suggestions?

All it did in the Elite 4 was beating Ariados and fainting against Forretress so Geodude could beat it. Will see more use in Kanto because it's the only thing that can possibly beat Espeon.

OhDude / Geodude Lv.44 (->49) m @ Everstone
- Headbutt
- Explosion
- Rock Throw
- Earthquake
Headbutt sucks, Rock Throw sucks... And then there's not much left. Has recently only been good for Magnetons and Explosion.

As said before, Geodude isn't that good, but it covers most of Bellsprout's weaknesses pretty well. Beat Muk, Houndoom, Aero and Zard for me.

Anorexius / Bellsprout Lv.50 (->69) m @ Everstone
- Razor Leaf
- HP Electric
- Sludge Bomb
- Sleep Powder
After being dead weight early on, Bellsprout has now easily became my strongest team member. It hits harder than i would have ever expected, especially with STAB Sludge Bomb. HP Electric is not that good, but at least it helps against stuff like Gyara, Mantine, Skarm, and Qwilfish and Tenta... Because Bellsprout is the only of my team members that's worth something, everything Bellsprout can't beat gives me major issues. Fire and Flying types are checked by Geodude, but Psychic and especially Ice types easily destroy my entire team....

At level 66, Bellsprout was finally able to outspeed all of Will's Pokemon.... And then the rest of the Elite 4 was ridiculously easy, except for that damn Houndoom of course.

Oh, and i really can't explain why my Spoilers get ALWAYS mysteriously divided into two parts

Update: After some massive grinding, i finally beat the Elite 4 now. Karen required me some attempts, that Houndoom could easily destroy me, but Geodude managed to beat it on like the third time.

Update: Beat Red. He was easy. Bellsprout easily set up on Pikachu with Sleep Powder and X-Items and then swept his team. Pikachu got an awful lot of crits with Thunder, luckily always when Bellsprout was at full health, so it could barely survive. After Espeon got outspeeded and OHKOd, i knew victory was mine.

I don´t know if I should join this challenge but at first I got a question:
Why you can´t get pokemon from the cave next to viola (don´t remember the name somthing like darkcave?)?
Because you can get funny pokemon there(Dunsparce,Teddiursa...)
