Not sure about it, but there might be. Also, use the Metal and Color Generation SQ&A thread next time. :| Crystal isn't an advanced generation game.

In Pokemon Ruby, can you only get one Deepsea tooth/scale? Basically are they like the fossils?

If so this is going to be frustrating to fill my pokedex.........

I'm afraid so. Once you give Captain Stern the Scanner you get to choose one of the two items. The only way to get the other is by trading.

that is exceedingly good news. i'll probably just use the master ball, then, and stock up on ultra balls for the normal legendaries.

Quagsire's ability, damp, prevents self-destruction. What does it exactly do, like prevent fainting from hurting itself in confusion?

It prevents any Pokemon in battle from using the moves Selfdestruct or Explosion. The ability Aftermath will also not work.

What happens if I catch all the unown types in leaf green? I know there's 28 kinds, just not what happens if I do.

I'm trying to breed an elekid with ice punch. I have a hitmonchan with ice punch, and a female electabuzz. The day-care man says the two don't seem to like eachother much. I know this means they're compatible, but is there a way to tell how long/many steps until an egg is made?

You have a chance of getting an egg after 256 steps. About 20%, meaning that, in theory, you'd get one egg every 1280 steps. However, that's in theory. In practice, you could get it at the earliest possible time, or it could take you many many. And it's not a 100% chance to get the move passed down, either. All in all, it could take you over 9000 steps to get the Elekid you want, or it could take you a few thousand. It's just down to luck, really.

Thanks for clearing that up. Though it did work out, after about 10 minutes of solid biking around kanto I got an egg. And it hatched an elekid that knew ice punch.

I personally suggest getting a new Ruby all together.
Internal Battery replacing is a delicate process and you could easily mess your game up for good if you don't do it correctly..

What does the term "meta game" refer too?
Can pokemon get EV's if they have exp share on, but don't actually fight?

The term "meta game" refers to the rules and mindset that goes beyond the things taught by the game itself. The Pokemon metagame involves IVs, EV spreads, complex movesets, proper use of held items, natures, knowing when to switch, knowing what attack to use when, etc. It's like playing a game competitively. That's my take on it, anyway.

Pokemon will gain EVs when they are holding the exp. share even though they didn't battle.

Okay thanks

So if I give a pokemon a exp share, and i have him jsut get ev's that way, does he get half as much? or will like he and the lead poke both get an EV.

Like say I killed a Zubat, would both pokes get 1 EV?

Yes, if you KO'd a Zubat, both Pokemon would get 1 EV. EVs don't get split.

Yes. Only in FireRed and only after you unlock the rest of the Sevii Islands (it's in Lost Cave), so it isn't much better.

Actually easier, thanks. I've got 6 badges and am at nearly 12 hours game time. Charizard 73, Nidoqueen 58, Zynx the Jynx 60, Marc the Lickitung 49, Parasect 49. Super Rod + Lucky Egg Gyarados killing for training.

Are GBA Moon Stones more common on Clefairy or Lunatone (held item percentages) ?

i would like to transfer my kanto team to hoenn, i know its possible cuz i saw it on a youtube video...
could it be the game or i dont know
and im playing this on my pc so that there wont be any wrong interpretations

edit: if anyone knows what i have to do, please PM me

How far are you into Ruby/Sapphire? You have to have the Pokedex in order to trade. It sounds like you've done everything necessary from the FR end of things,..

Ok, so I just got back into my Emerald since Saturday when my expert guy friend gave me some advice on beating the seventh gym with the twin leaders. Anyway my question is, what level are the twins at? I don't remember anymore since it's been a while since I have played any of my hoenn games since I am not into that generation really. I have a guide book,I used to buy them for every generation but I do not feel like pulling it off my shelf.
