Wow, Those tilesets are really good.Those maps are well made as well.
Those OW Sprites and other sprites are fantastic!
Good choice, and can i ask you where did you get those tilesets from?
But the thing about it is,The pokemon on the titlescreen looks more like a digimon rather then it should look like a pokemon.

Hey mercurysky, I think I know why you chose those starters.
Dodeed evolves into a Flying-Type, Frilzard evolves into a Poison-Type, and Toofin evolves into a Steel-Type, right?

The only question I have is this; why does Frilzard evolve into a Poison-Type? I mean, he won't gain many type advantages. Also, who's the second Gym leader?

I'm not sure what to say.. Very good sprites and mapping, but the story is too generic and artificial for me.. You're grammar could use some work, but I'm just so sick of seeing "secrets, wars, relics and ancient artifacts" in a pokemon game.. It just is too different.. The rest of your game has exceeded the standards so well done... I'd really just like to see something original to this game in the storyline, nothing too mystical, magical or just plain implausible.

Anyway, about the story... you must know that i'm not a pokémon-only fan. I know the "pokémon formula" and that's precisely what i want to mess up with.
As the life is what we know, and as the wars happen, every pokémon game is artificial. Pokémon games are utopias with their peace and badges... as their story is artificial with a young boy who saves the world as "evil teams" are artificial if you think that they try to conquer the world/ gain moneys by battling with pokémon. Also death is an interesting subject.
That's what i don't want to do in Garnet, because it's a fangame and a "strange" formula doesn't risk to ruin my savings as it happens in a serious game-developing house.
About Mysticism... it's in man's nature to be mystic.

What do you think is more implausible?
A madness made by humans like a war? A world grown up by mysticism? Or a travel made by a ten-years old boy who saves the world by fighting with "animals"?
You will find yourself into that, you won't be the "hero".

Garnet's story it's quite different than an original pokémon game, because of its contents, there will be a moral at the end, a lot of psichology, like a Final fantasy/ Rpg game...
No heroes, no truly imprlausible things.

Hope you've understood the difference between a "Pokémon game" and "Garnet".
Maybe it'll be a total failure (XD), but it's exactly what i believe to do :3

Ah I see.. I just assumed you had Italian relatives or it was just important to you in some way because you said about the Italian town names..
I just think that too many games are using this "spiritual,ritualistic,ancient" philosophy and I don't believe that concentrating on the past too much is going to help the future.. It is almost like if everyone started making Pokemon games involving Egyptians..
Ok I just want to say that although you have also chosen this way to go with your storyline, you have thought about it a lot. You have gone into a good amount of detail and I'm a little interested now.. The storyline on your first page is too broad, you need to go into more detail..
I know I said grammar, but your grammar is quite good.. There are a few spelling errors but I am just so used to saying grammar..

First of all thank you! We're trying to be most original as possible, and with a pokémon game is truly difficult!

Let's see those questions... ok!
1. I'm currently working at it. I don't have got Photoshop, i'm trying to make it with paint (XD)
2. We've got a complete list with all the gym leaders/ Elite4/ Great Tournament (Battle Park) bosses. The next gym (the second one) will be water-type
3. Theorically we've already got 99% of the fakemon sprites. In the net you can find a lot of them by searching for my team-mates work (try on Deviantart ;D), anyway, we've got some top-secret ones (like the legendary one)

The first one shows the male player, Aurelio in a forest facing Mandraune, a special event pokémon.
The second one is a rival battle segment with Toofin (water starter) facing Dodeed (grass starter).

Looks like one of the best, if not the best, remake. Only thing is I highly doubt that this is going to get finished because of the sheer complexity. Even so if it ever gets done it will be at least a year or 2. I would love to see this done though and I encourage you to go as far as possible.
