Theres a few things i want to take out before the demo, just files that aren't used yet, mainly audio, which is over 120mb at the moment, to keep the download size down.

Pikachu does follow you, its just i've been using the warp to map option in the debug menu so i skipped the event that allows it to walk

I'm really looking forward to this so if you need a hand with anything grapihcs wise I could try help, Titlescreens/Boxart/userbars etc
Give me an idea and I'll show you what I can do if you want (=

THe HG/SS tilesets fit really well
Have you thought of what sort of character sprie you're going to use or are you just going to stick with the one you have?

I also think you should leave missingno out, It is always an interesting feature to add for nostalgic sake but I think it could lower the integrity of what is shaping up to be a very impressive game

Which is another reason why I think you should expand slightly further from using in game sprites, Granted i'm not quite sure which game you are using btu I recognise the brock sprite and I think you could make it graphically even more appealing if you got some custom sprites in

Look forward to any more progress on this!

the sprites are all hg/ss.

i am in need of running/surfing/biking sprites for the main character, as well as the backgrounds for the vs screens (not the leaders faces, the background they're on)

for the other gym leaders as well as some for the elite four and champion

Heh, well, you have good-looking HGSS graphics, why don't you take the next step and start using HGSS Overworlds. Once you have that done, this game will look a lot better.

If you are using HG/SS overworlds it would make sense to use their running/surfing etc sprites

Hero Running Fishing cycling etc

I did your vs screens, I prefer the first set but they are all simliar, Havign said that you could interchange with the snd style with msot of them, I kep them simliair enough to allow for that
First set is based on colour the second on the corresponding element, Needless to say some of them caused some difficulty..

the thing is, i'm not using the hg/ss heros, i'm using RED, and theres no running etc sprites for him. i guess i could recolour the male hero sprites though

i like the first set, but i'm after them for the kanto gym leaders, so brock, misty etc

i like the title screen and userbars. Would you be able to resize the screen to 480x320 though?

Now to see what the vs screens look like in-game

Yeah I think you should recolour, would give the whole game that upgraded feel

The vs screens..
both sets are done in Kanto gym leaders adn elite 4
In alphabetical order so

Agatha
Blaine
Brock
Bruno
erika
giovanni
etc etc

Obviously there's limited colours so some are a touch simliar in particular Koga/Agatha/Sabrina
Poison/ghost/psychic all say purple to me so they are a bit simliar =\

Try using the VS icon thing I attached, Slightly simplified but suits the VS screens better i think

Theres not much to do graphical wise at the moment. I've just about finished redoing the running sprite then hopefully the demo will be out if everything goes well

Hmm, the rival bar doesn't work because each end of it are different colours so it looks strange on screen

Hope you even like the idea of the spectrum, I only implelemted it to show variety as Your rival isn't a single type specialist..

This looks really good. Probably the best Yellow remake made so far. Did you edit Help 14's following pokemon script for Pikachu or something?

No, the Pikachu is currently done using dependant events

Demo should be soon, just been sorting out trainer sprites and a bug with trainer battles causing the game to crash
