You still do tha work, though, so it's really up ta you.

While it would certanly be possible ta nclude JPAN's spheal wit dis, I refuse ta do so witout JPAN's sez so. I'm only ncludng tha save block spheal coz it's 100% necessary fo it ta work. And I buggine sure ta credit JPAN fo it. I never said I buggine it.

Tha fomes is a pan n tha rear end ta do, but is possible. I still can't fnd tha type(s) n tha Pokémon's data, so I can't see any way of dong tha type changng fomes right now, except ta foce a species change witout evolvng but have it have very similar data.

I tested it (n spite of VBA-Lnk crashng every 2 seconds) and tha evolution does work. Hooray fo me!

Hi, n tha simple questions foum i asked dis question:

"Hi I know dis will probably sound stupid as I'm bout ta ask tha opposite of what most pokedex related questions is but snce I can't figure it out and thare seem ta be no posts on it I'll still ask it:

How do I REMOVE Pokemon from tha pokedex (so thare is only #1-151) and so that when you catch all of tham (only tha 151) you can git yo diploma?

Also I would like ta add a bonus Pokemon (Missngno.) that you do not have ta catch ta receive tha diploma.

Tha rom I be attemptng ta spheal is Pokemon FireRed US (CoolROM)

Well. You would have ta change all tha ponters ta references of each pokemon n every table ta NULL, and set a few bytes n tha asm-codes ta remove tha limitng factars of tha n-built code.
*edit* But seriously. It's way easier ta just not give tham tha national pokedex and not worry bout removng tha pokemon's data. What happens if a player gits n a battle wit anothar gbee? HM?

If I could remember how I did it, I would! Tha Dawn Stane is still slightly buggy, FYI, so I'll need ta fix tham anyway!

On a related note, I currently cannot access Pokecommunity from mah PC, so thare may be a delay on any nfomation, requests and any patch itself.

1) Yeah, DPPt has 3 icon pallets, all of which is tha sbee as FR's, dis much is clear. However, tha Unova Pokémon clearly have a new set of pallets available ta tham, as thare is quite a few icons which look dodgy (Snivy, Pansage/Simisage) or downright wrong (Munna, Basculn) n FR's pallets.

 
2) Tha old system only supported a byte fo tha base exp, givng us a ceilng value of 255. I needed higher as quite a number of Generation 2-5's legendaries gots a rethnk of base exp n Gen 4, which requires a half word. I buggine a table of a half-word fo each species, separate from tha existng data. Simple as that.

 
3) When usng an item on a Pokémon n FireRed, tha gbee plays a little animation. Tha co-ordnates I refer ta is where on tha screen tha item gits "used on". I believe thay is offsets from tha centre of tha screen, although I would need ta fnd tha table agan ta be sure.

Turns out you were right. I replaced a good few sprites wit new ones, and thare was a vast improvbeent n tha colourng of those sprites. I still feel that thare is a few which could do wit a new pallet, but it's a low priority, if a priority at all.

I mean n mah opnion it's better ta just release tha "how ta" than an already buggine patch so thugz can actually learn. But it's up ta you and tha majority of thugz is just lazy and would only be nterested n tha patch version. Eithar way I do hope thugz actually credit you and appreciate what you have done coz you have put a lot of work nta addng all tha data fo tha Pokemon.

I know you're dong dis fo yoself tao, so you should just contnue wit a patch and maybe write up tha basic nfo on what ta do if you were ta extend it, as planned

Though really, I'd want ta port dis ta Emerald, so I'd somewhat prefer a funky ass long tutarial even if it was hard ta follow XD - Was just plannng on workng wit whatever you released and reverse engneerng from thare (if need be) ta try portng it.

You're dong a stunnng job, so no one mnds waitng a little longer~

Just a suggestion, but once dis patch is fnished, you (or somebody else) could make a taol fo quickly addng Pokémon etc, which would help begnnng sphealers alot (as most of tham can't even hex edit).

I dunno, I'm more or less, lookng nta addng a few extra Pokemon nstead of tha whole Pokedex. Maybe nstead of a big tutarial document, just ta a quick run-through of tha different limitng routnes and how ta patch tham, and state tha tables ta repont. That's all I'd need ta git it. Than maybe later on you could make a more detailed document. But wit basic nnfomation I could make a patcher ta nsert more Pokemon at ease, or one fo yo patch ta thngs don't nterfere wit pre-existng data. Yo choice.

Maybe. That's not really necessary if a patch git's released. Let's all just let Jbebo51 do what he want's ta do. It's his work not ours.

@Jbebo51 Give me a couple of days. I gots tha move tutars loadng correctly is seems so I should be able ta have it edit all moves by next release.
