Today on this UMC I will beat Diamond. Then I will move on to the dreaded Unova region where I will no have Alakazam. I may
just cry here.

I head off on path to the Elite Four. Let's see what I can do here. I make it through the water route with minimal fights
and am now in Victory Road. In here I am completely lost and have no idea where I am going. After finally make it to the
Elite Four right before I head in I am challenged by my rival. I agree so that I can level up a bit. The only pokemon
that Mystic did not one shot was snorlax. After that I enter the Elite Four unprepared.

After entering the Elite Four I first meet Aaron. He uses bug pokemon. Crap. His Dustox took one hit and was out. Beautifly
was also taken out with one shot. Vespiqueen took 2 shadow balls to take down. Mystic took down Drapion with 2 Focus Blasts
and Heracross lost to one psychic.

Up next was Bertha the ground pokemon trainer. Grass knot took outall of her pokemon in one hit. Whiscash took two grass
knots.

Next was Flint, my favorite of this Elite Four. His first choice was Rapidash which lost to a grass knot and a psychic.
Then he used the big guns. Drifblim was next. Surprisingly it didn't get to do anything and two shadow balls took it out.
Then Infernape which could not handle a single psychic. Up next was Lopunny and one focus blast did it in. Same thing
happened to Steelix.

Last was Lucian a psychic user. First up Mr. Mime a shadow ball took it out along with others. Girafarig took a focus blast
and a grass knot. Bronzong took three shadow balls.

The final challenge was champion Cynthia. Spiritomb took two shadow balls and a grass knot to defeat. The came Roserade
which fell to one psychic. next was Garchomp which took a focus blast and two psychics. Gastrodon lost to a single grass
knot. Lucario took one focus blast. Her last pokemon Milotic took two grass knots to take down.

BUG

Chapter #1: Team heLL15, GO!
-started the game
-named myself heLL15 and my rival Gary
-got a Pokemon (Bulbasaur) and named him Messiah (I'm going to use him as a HM Slave)
-battle my rival for the first time and won
-did all the intro stuff with prof. Oak
-went to Viridan Forest and got myself 2 team members: Koga and Janine
-trained them until they evolved and beat Gary for the 2nd time
-went to Pewter City to face the 1st gym leader Brock

Spoiler:

-got the running shoes from the Prof. Oaks aide
-went through Mt.Moon where I got my 3rd party member: Peach
-got to Cerulean city where I've beaten Gary to a pulp
-visited Bill in his house and got the S.S. Pass
-battled the 2nd gym leader Misty

-went south and got to Vermilion City
-went into the ship and battled all the trainers there including my rival who is on the same level as those trainers
-got the HM 1 Cut
-went into the 3rd gym and battled Lt.Surge

I have finally finished Kanto!

I took me about 10 tries to beat the champion because of his annoying Venasaur.

Well, now it's time for Johto. I hope it's okay that I didn't dp R/B and that I'm going to do Shiny Gold instead of G/S/C.

Woot! It looks like I've beaten Leaf Green's Elite four!!

Ultimate Psychic Monotype Challenge - Kanto Complete!!

I wanted to give everyone a detailed, or at least some what!, detailed story of what happened and junk but.. I got too into it, haha! I ended up just playing it all the way through without posting!! sorry!!

Here's the final image, though!!

My Pokemon were all around level 50, the highest being 52 AFTER the Elite Four! Haha! I got lucky, honestly!! With two of the elite four being weak against my type, I didn't really have to try that hard after the first one and my Jynx tore through Lance easily!!

Starting Johto on Heart Gold or Soul Silver next, I'm not sure which!!, and at School I'm already doing Hoenn on Emerald! I'll keep you guys posted and, of course, list which I'm talking about!

:D Kanto Complete, baby!

(My time is screwed up because of me leaving it unpaused for hours on end! Haha!)

I was doing a single monotype on White with steel, but it's been so fun I'm gonna have to change it to an ultimate. Would it be alright if I finished my White run and then moved on to FireRed, SoulSilver, Emerald and then Platinum? If not, understood but it would be great as I'm already pretty far into the game.
-Started out and picked Snivy so I'm at a type disadvantage.
-Did the beginning stuff, beat the first gym with Snivy and ditched it as soon as I beat the Plasma grunts in Wellspring Cave.
-Caught Drilbur, named it Ares after the Greek God of War.
-Level up Drilbur until he was sufficiently leveled to take on Lenora.
-Grinded and grinded until I could finally take out Burgh's Leavanny with two Slash.
-Evolved into Excadrill before taking on Elesa, destroyed her with Dig and Rock Slide.
-Got rid of Plasma in Cold Storage and took out Clay (Earthquake>his pokemon)
-Made it to Chargestone Cave where I was finally able to catch the second and third members of my team, Hephaestus the Klink and Aniketos the Ferroseed.
-Gave Aniketos the Lucky Egg and trained until he evolved at level 40.
-Gave Hephaestus the Lucky Egg, used his Charge Beam to solo Skyla's gym.
-Klink evolved and just kept destroying so I used him over the others for a while, soloed Brycen without stopping to heal through all trainers.
-Beat Plasma in Dragonspiral Tower and Hephaestus evolved into KlingKlang.
-Saved outside of the Desert Resort.

Edit: Took out Plasma at the Desert Resort
-Caught Pawniard, named it Adonis
-Trained Adonis up to level 48 with the Lucky Egg
-Saved in front of Iris

Edit: Beat Iris with Adonis.
-Got the Master Ball from Juniper and started on Route 10.
-Beat Cheren in front of Badge Check Gates.
-Made it through Victory Road without stopping to catch a Durant, figured there was no point as Adonis and Ares already knew X-Scissor.
-Adonis evolved while battling a trainer with the three elemental monkeys.
-Took on the Elite 4 and lost after beating the first three, predictably to Marshal.
-Put a Ferroseed and Pawniard I had caught before (bad natures) in my party as Revive fodder.
-Ares learned Drill Run and critted most of Marshal's pokemon, taking him out.
-Saved in front of N's room.

Edit 2: Beat N and Ghetsis after taking out Zekrom.
-Saved my progress after greeting Looker and getting the Super Rod.
-I finished my White run of Steel type!

alright, this is probably my second to the last update for Platinum: Ultimate Monotype Bug Run

- after hours of grinding, proceeded to the lakes.
- defeated him and him, and went to Snowpoint.
- defeated Candice.
- and Cyrus blah blah Galactic blah blah Distortion World.
- caught A Heracross, replaced Stradivari.
- training training.
- caught a Yanma. Evolved it to Yanmega, replaced it with Beautifly.
- training training.
- defeated Volkner.
- Victory Road and such.
- defeated Barry once and for all.
- defeated the E4 and cynthia.
WITH THAT, I AM OFF TO THE FINAL PART IN MY MONOTYPE ULTIMATE RUN! WOHOO!!! LAST ONE!

So I'd like to sign up for the Monotype Challenge! :D
//EDIT I'm not going ultimate, I'm sorry for the confusing header

Challenger: Colourful
Type: Ice
Games: FireRed

Now funny thing is, I've thought of doing this just 2 days ago and am already done with my run, so this will be my first and also final update

Here's a brief summary of my playthrough:

Note that for this run I used a modified version of FireRed into which I implemented a guy in Pallet Town who gives me a LVL 5 Shellder right at the start, so that I can actually do this Ice-run =)

I have to say this run was extremely fun and I really learned to love Ice-Type Pokemon! I had never used any of the Pokemon I used in this run before, but especially Cloyster was really awesome! :D

I'd be very thankful, if you could add me to the list of people who have finished the normal monotype-challenge in Kanto! :D

to those concerned, my laptop crashed a little while back, and hard. Nothing was recovered. This means I lost my progress on my Pokemon emerald psychic run, so I will have to start over. I am determined to be the first psychic type champion that include unova! and if not,then just a pyshic type champ. also, my entries will be a little less detailed.

EDIT: In case you're wondering why a computer crash would make me lose my progress on an Gameboy Advance game, it's because was using an emulator and I lost the save file it saved too.just wanted to clarify.)

Hi guys, it's me again, I've had so much fun with my last Monotype-Run, that I immediately started another one. This time I did a Dark-Type Monotype Challenge in FireRed.
I'm done with it now, and would just like to give my at the same time first and final update about this run.

So for the record:

Challenger: Colourful

Game: FireRed

Here's how the run went, notice, that since it was a Dark-Type run in Kanto, I had to hack my pokemon in. I therefore followed the rules myrrhman set up in the second post of this thread.

Hey guys, I'm starting a monotype run in Soul Silver.

Challenger: Lincoln West
Type: Bug
Game: Soul Silver

I'm going to take Chikorita as my starter, so that my rival has a fire type just to make the run more challenging. I'll keep you posted.

Update: Went through the intro, grabbed Chikorita and legged it all the way to Mr. Pokemon's house, getting the running shoes on the way. Got the egg and the pokedex, then started sprinting home. Battled and defeated my rival then got back to Prof. Elm. After finally getting some pokeball I caught a Weedle and Ledyba to give me a strong foundation for my team. Now I just need to grind out some serious training.

Grinded out some levels then conquered Sprout Tower in Violet City. A bit more training and I was able to beat Falkner on the second attempt. Current team - Beedrill Level 15 and Ledyba Level 15. Stay tuned!

Hey guys, it's me. Sorry I haven't updated in awhile, school has kept me quite busy. Anyway, there's something I need help with. Cynthia's Togekiss is beating me down every time! I need help with this. Please leave me some suggestions in the reply. Anyway, my team is mostly in the mid-40s with Po the Machamp at level 50 and Tarzan my Infernape at level 61 (or somthin' like that).

@Zerkon - May I suggest using a Staryu? He evolves into Starmie who is Psychic.

Update on my Soul Silver Bug run.

After beating Falkner I made my way South to Azalea Town LIKE A BOSS. Popped into the nearby forest and caught a Paras (whoo hoo!) bringing my team to a tidy three. Currently training the Paras a bit before I chase Team Rocket out of the Slowpoke Well.
